Lunar Eclipse in Taurus 2021: Dream a little dream

Our beautiful Full Moon in Taurus blossoms on November 19 at about 3 AM EDT. She brings with her the advice of the 6 of Cups.

All 6's involve themes of trust and communication. In the 6 of Cups, the5e is a naive type of trust is indicated. Childlike. Innocent. Unsullied. As advice, it is suggested that we develop that type of trust toward our intuitive signals, the concept of divine timing and to get more well practiced with “trusting the flow” or the Divine.

Indirect and non-verbal communication are represented here with imagination also playing a key role. In many versions, a child is offering another flowers. No words are spoken but that gift alone attempts to convey some type of message. Working with the energy of the 6, gives us opportunity to practice honing our intuitive skills, our dream interpretation abilities and our abilities to pick up on non-verbal communications, cues and nuance. We can learn how to better interpret and convey body language and subtlety. As an adviser, the 6 invites us to redirect our thinking away from negativity, self-doubt, fear etc and toward healing the traumatized parts of us that may be asking to be heard through these thoughts. In the meantime, we are supported in taking each moment as it comes curiously and rooted in the present..allowing each experience to be brand new.

This is a great time to lay out foundations for larger projects. To “dream” your way forward or to even become playful and creative in the romantic realm. As the card occurs during a Lunar eclipse, it is excellently applied toward intentions that aim to remove barriers to the feelings the card embodies...contentment, security, curiosity. Innocence, creativity, companionship and romance.

Episodes of “daydreaming” or continually reflecting upon the same memory over and over can be indications of mental burnout. Your brain needs a break, too otherwise it starts to misfire. In addition to rest, our brains, bodies and souls also need playtime. Losing track of time and suspending the whole “adult” thing for a bit are types of things the 6 of Cups suggests. Get lost in a book. Your favorite show. Art. Music or watching the grass grow. Play time. Rest time. Obligation free time. Unplugged.

Finally, we are encouraged to reach out and share with others or to invite them in to partake. The card welcomes good company and warm, gentle gestures.
