Morning Star: Daily Astrology for the week of June 14 to June 18, 2021

Monday, June 14

Today the Moon wanders through Leo. She reaches over to kiss the North Node in Gemini by sextile and dances with Chiron by trine before running face first into the Saturn/Uranus square at 3:30 PM EDT. This occurs as the Saturn/Uranus square pulls into perfection at 6 PM at 13 Aqua/Taurus 07.

Uranus is still direct and therefore heads toward the 14th degree of Taurus whose Chandra symbol reads as follows:

An old lady selling bunches of violets on a street corner.

Caught inside a strange predicament--you no longer belong to worlds you always dreamed into before, and you have only a light connection with worlds calling you forward from here. Caught in a time warp, being neither this nor that. It is a stark and merciless dilemma. Your heart is divided between memories and visions, sentiment and knowledge. Inside this quandary, something else is going on. You are distracted from all solid allegiances in order to overhaul your way of being, even while remaining stubbornly adamant and resistant. You get around your own paranoid system by subtle and subliminal means, eroding the ego base and bringing yourself through a humiliating stage. Make yourself ready for deeper challenges ahead by stripping away your self-importance; you who have leaned back hard on self-importance for your very identity, and who now must let go despite not wanting to at all.

Saturn is retrograde heading toward the 13th degree of Aquarius which reads as follows:

A lidless granite sarcophagus. It is empty.

There is nothing to go back to. The past has become a phantom. You are propelled forward into the great unknown. But it is so easy to become somewhat desperate and out of context. So much depends upon how you interpret the fact that you are strictly on your own without a personal history or heritage to fall back upon. Is this real opportunity or a strange fate? It is very hard to tell the difference, as it all becomes ambiguous, paradoxical, very mixed. Where do you go from here? No easy answers anywhere. Perhaps the only thing to do is to acknowledge and move with this radical opening and to put no interpretations on it, assuming nothing at all. For if you can welcome multi-dimensionality with truly open arms, it might well turn out that the future was never supposed to be like the past. And that becoming so free does provide an open access channel for what needs to happen--to come through a jump ahead of the last moment, synchronized with evolution beautifully

Now, these squares are certainly tenuous and they set one of the major astrological themes of 2021. And, with the Moon in Leo in play as this one goes down, it's personal. This is the 2nd square in a series of three. The first one occurring in February and the final one going down around Christmas. What I've observed is that they kind of take you by the back of the head on personal levels and hold you until you see what it is that needs to change. They also have a tendency to be rather “weathery.” With Mercury Rx that is entirely possible. I don't see much new emerging from this one. It does appear to be a reflection upon the last square in which the issues thematic to your chart are brought back to the surface. With Saturn Rx, it's almost as if the Universe is asking, “You know what is wrong here. What are you going to do about it.” The proper response being accountability and effort toward change that brings about healthy and mature approach. Results matter less than effort with Saturn. So, hold tight to your integrity and do the best you can as we navigate this. It is fixed energy so it occurs in an inescapable way but also shows us patterns of personal behavior that contribute to the dynamic. There could be collective happenings that feed into his but the best bet is to focus on the ground right in front of you without expecting anyone to fix things for you. This is on you.

There isn't much “give” in this Monday. However, just as the clock clicks over to midnight on the East Coast, Tuesday gifts us with a bit of flexibility.

Tuesday, June 15

At 12:34 AM EDT, the Moon limbers up with options as she creates a sextile with Mercury Rx before limbering up a bit more with a sextile to the Sun in Gemini at 1:27 PM. From here, she is in Void status for the rest of the day allowing us to glide through a bit a break until she enters Virgo at 11:02 PM. That means if there is a mess made on Monday, the energy to step back from it and find fixes or solutions is forthcoming. But, it may be best to do as the Moon does and mark Tuesday evening for a bit of rest.

Wednesday, June 16

The Moon moving into Virgo eventually births our first quarter Moon that stems from our SE in Gemini last week. First Quarters typically present challenge to our intentions. That is not in effort to stop us but to provide incentive to overcome the obstacles in front of us. If we plant seeds at the New Moon, the First Quarter is where the seed pod bursts open in the ground. The seedling must find the energy and stamina to push upward to break the crust of the ground's surface. Otherwise, it rots and is for naught except to fertilize the soil for the next planting.

The ground is likely to be a bit mushy through this Moon as she will oppose Jupiter at 3 AM EDT. She clicks through minor aspects for most of the day before meeting with the Nodal Axis by square at 6:32 PM. This can birth memories of the way things seemed similar before and worries that what we are dealing with simply does not fit with our plans for the future. The answer is going to be a willingness toward change and employment of a bit of creativity with the outlet for this mutable square falling in Pisces. If nothing else, we can sleep on it, accept it as is or simply let it go. For now.

Then, the gentle “aha!” moments birth themselves as the Moon trines Uranus in Taurus at 11:07 PM. Chances are they are riddled with simplicity and common sense while inspiring us toward step by incremental step to clean up any messes we may find ourselves in.

Thursday, June 17

Thursday looks like reflection, rain and a dash of seasickness as the Moon squares off with Mercury Rx at 6 AM and then sextiles nostalgic Venus in Cancer at 8:07 AM. She moves on to form blurry and emotional opposition to Neptune in Pisces at about 5 PM. It's ok to look back there. But, it's also ago to bless it, forgive it if you feel like and then wash it away. Let the tides ebb and flow without pressuring yourself too much toward production even if Virgo Moon may feel obligated. We can pray, rest and take care of ourselves through this. It's allowed. You officially have permission.

We restore, ground out and become a bit more resilient as the Moon trines Pluto Rx at 10:18 PM. Just in time because the First Quarter Moon rolls up at 11. This isn't a time to back down but more of a time to weigh our options and start tinkering with them to see which one may work. We might have to weed through a few before finding the right one. But, the right one is out there and effort still matters!

Following the First Quarter (just before midnight), the Virgo Moon rests in Void status. She enters Libra at about 5 AM on Friday.

Friday, June 18

Friday has pleasant, playful and creative mojo with the Moon making minor aspect all day with the exception of a nice sextile to Mars newly in Leo at 12:32 PM. Libra and Leo love to laugh, share and spend time with friends. If the week proves difficult, this is a good day to leave time for play. Seek balance in all you do and aim to be authentic. Lean into what you enjoy and, for best results, bring a friend...or three.
