This week leads us into a strongly
waning Moon cycle and toward the first small sparks of life from
spring brought forth by our New Moon in Aries on 3/24. Before we get
to those first tender sprouts, the Sun will cross the Aries point
(3/19) and Saturn will enter Aquarius (3/22). Mercury still retraces
his shadow steps through Pisces while Venus travels steadily in
Taurus. Mars continues in Capricorn meeting with Jupiter (3/20) and
Pluto (3/23) on his journey up the ladder.
Seasonally, this is the time of
manifesting the Void. In the Northern atmosphere, it's a time of
final clearances made in preparation for spring. Maybe you get out
the tiller and turn the garden over for the first time if the ground
has thawed enough. Perhaps you clean off the outdoor porches. It may
be still a bit chilly to use them regularly but you are getting them
ready. You are preparing the space for new experience to be born in
that situation. And...that's the metaphor for your week ahead. As the
Moon wanes, we are finishing, winding down, flushing out, clearing
and making space for the “new” to enter, happen or reside. In
essence, we are Manifesting the Void. Aiming your efforts toward
finishing what you have been working on, cleaning/clearing physical
and energetic spaces and making open spaces in your life for the new
to happen fits well as goal. Then, as the Micro New Moon in Aries
finds us next week, we may be ready to set the tiniest of vases right
in the middle of the vast space we have created. We will have created
a large empty room that we intend to showcase only one thing...right
in the center.
<single rose under glass>
Our week begins with Monday's
last Quarter Moon (5: 34 AM EDT) in Sagittarius forming just before
sunrise on the East coast. She is rendered immediately Void. Monday
morning cold be cancelled. The Moon enters Capricorn at lunch time
(12:26 PM EDT) finding Mercury by sextile from the genesis of each
their signs. Mercury will have re-entered Pisces earlier that morning
(3:43 AM).
This gives the whole of the day a
relaxed emotional tone. Mercury's re-entry to Pisces indicates a time
in which more confusion may emerge but this is territory previously
passed. This is the part of the retrograde period where things start
to make sense again. Lost things are found. Forgotten things
remembered. Pieces of information come together to form a more clear
picture of what has been confusing since Mercury's Rx period began.
The sextile with the Moon to Mercury brings a time of mind and
emotion coming together to create a plan in regard to how we can move
forward in light of what we know we so far. It can be expected that
some of this will be based on assumptions and projections because
what we are envisioning is likely not something we've tried before.
By nightfall on Monday, the Moon finds
Uranus in Taurus by trine (8:33 PM EDT). This is a good time to
grateful for what you have. The energy itself is grounded and
optimistic. It's very sober and looks to the future with clear eyes.
Common sense tells us that change is forth coming and it might be a
long path ahead filled with a good bit of work that we will
personally have to be involved in. We realize here that we need to
get busy drafting the steps in that plan. The end vision we may have
is vast. It would be easy to get lost on our way to that very distant
horizon. Breaking all that down into smaller more daily manageable
steps, just makes sense.
As the Moon finds the SN by conjunction
later in the evening, we likely ponder past ways in which we were
effective or ineffective in our initiatives and project forward in
our minds in regard to how we can adapt our plans to better support
our own success in our future. At this point, we may become a little
restless..at risk of doubting ourselves and questioning what really
felt like sound reasoning when we made the decision earlier in the
day. The Moon in Capricorn finds Chiron in Aries by square at 9:25 PM
EDT. That doubt may linger or, if we've uncovered “weak spots” in
our plans we may realize we need to look at things a little more
closely..perhaps ask for insight from reliable sources.
On Tuesday
morning, our waning Moon in Capricorn is largely unencumbered. We are
prepared to do what we need to do. By noon, things feel fresh and a
little more comfortable as the Moon finds Venus in Taurus by trine.
Chances are, most of Tuesday clicks by routinely and as expected.
However, there is a spark clicked off on the evening of St. Patrick's
Day that could influence or inspire how it is we do move forward.
Uranus in Taurus meets with the North Node in Cancer by sextile at
6:58 PM EDT. Is it Lucky Tuesday? Or, are the wee folk pulling
pranks? Something is inspired, either way.
As Tuesday comes to a close the Moon in
Capricorn relaxes with Neptune in Pisces. This sets us up for a solid
night of sleep. Our heads may rest more easily.
Wednesday
morning finds us ready to go and do what it is we know we have
to do. Dawn comes on the energy of the Moon in Capricorn having found
Mars (4:33 AM) and Jupiter (6:47 AM) by conjunction. We rested so
well, we may have managed an early start because before lunchtime
we've worked up a good appetite. Still, we are focused and determined
to see the work ahead of us through. The Moon in Capricorn finds
Pluto by conjunction at 10:53 AM. Good day to carry some extra snacks
with you.
The Moon in Capricorn finds the Sun in
Pisces by relaxing sextile Wednesday evening (6:57 PM). We've worn
ourselves out. If we are able to note our own efforts as worthy and
find satisfaction with our ability to hold to our plans, we rest
easy. If not, our heads my hit the pillow more heavily and come with
the throes of feeling defeated. The Moon's conjunction to Saturn
(8:48 PM) marks this self-evaluative point and Our Moon in Cap falls
VOC for a brief time here. She enters Aquarius at 9:16 PM.
Changes are happening whether we want
them to or not Thursday
morning. The Moon in Aquarius finds Uranus in Taurus by square first
thing. We likely wake early or if in later time zones, may be
restless trying to sleep either from anticipation or worry. This is a
destabilizing aspect. It can feel unsettling, uncomfortable or can
also indicate excitement or anxiety.
Thankfully, though, there is
stabilizing energy that awaits us in this day. The Sun in Pisces
finds Saturn in Capricorn at 7:50 PM. Each are on the 29th
degree of their respective signs. After this stabilization, the Sun
and Saturn will both enter new signs. Just before noon, the Sun
emerges from the waters of Pisces into Aries. Saturn will hang on to
very last degree of Capricorn...likely lending a feeling of pressure
or strain to the atmosphere as he does....for a few more days. The
lord of timing and tempo enters Aquarius on 3/22. Precisely as the
clocks strike midnight on the East Coast.
Thursday may begin a little twitchy but
it goes forward without much of a hitch. The Moon glides through
Aquarius without major aspect. The Moon in Air enjoys lighter
emotional affect. With the commencement of Aries season, we are
slowly becoming more energized and ready to move forward. This day
favors an optimistic and active approach. High emotional intelligence
is the goal as well as a concern for the whole of community or tribe
when the Moon is in Aquarius. The negative swing of that would be
veering toward cold detachment. But, if the situation needs a freeze
out, Aqua Moon will deliver.
The energy of Thursday supports and
encourages cleaning also. By that I mean...deep cleaning. Yearly
cleanings. Proactive maintenance and preparations for the impending
season. In manifesting the Void, at this point all physical objects
within the space we are creating has been cleared out and we are
ready to polish the container. We are emptied. Our vessels are
emptied. Here we finalize the cleaning and hold the space of the Void
open.
Friday morning, we are tempted to fall
back into old patterns. We may stumble past the Void and toss our
bath towel in there...because, that's always where we put it
before? The Moon in Aquarius finds Venus in Taurus by square at 5 AM
EDT. Quickly we are reminded, though, “OH YEAH! We aren't doing
that anymore! We are older, wiser and no longer place the bath towel
in the void...oh...silly me.” Mars finds Jupiter in Capricorn at
7:35 AM EDT solidifying our plans for the future. We are ready to
walk into new and may feel inspired to take rather ambitious steps
toward that future RIGHT NOW. As in we can see it in our
minds...clear as day...and we want to get there as quickly as
possible. Run to it. But, we realize that it is miles in away in
terms of manifestation. So, we keep walking through the steps in our
plan. Realizing, it's coming...the time to actually start. But, we've
still got some things to get in line just yet. We'll get
there...oh...we'll get there.
The Moon toils in VOC status for the
entirety of the day Friday. Keep winding things down and dreaming
ahead.
Saturday morning brings us a very dark, very distant, very deeply releasing and purging Pisces Moon. The weekend presents with a “Warrior's retreat” type of energy that allows all to fall quiet. Into rest. Into sleep and dream. Our empty vessels sit empty and begin to experience that sensation of being totally emptied out. The smallest footsteps resound with echo. At this stage, we are resting and restoring our energies in preparation for the beginning...the start...the intiation of what we've been plotting. Soon it will be time to take those first steps. They will be small and likely taken without recognition. We may not even divulge to anyone that we've begun. The little sparks we set off at the beginning may not even seem like much. They are a start. A small beginning of something that will, over time, grow into something that will sustain us long into our future. We've prepared our space. Cleared our plates. So, this weekend, we rest. Next week, within that space, we plant our seed.
Even though the weekend may be spent
largely at rest or in personal isolation, that doesn't mean it
doesn't have a dynamic all it's own. Quite a bit occurs under this
dark Pisces Moon.
Saturday is quiet but holds a lot of
room for personal contemplation. The Moon finds Mercury by
conjunction Saturday evening kicking off a series amicable aspects
with the North node and Uranus in Taurus. This is an inspired and
very visionary type of energy. The sparking of that energy leads us
into the 3rd trine of Mercury in Pisces to the North node
in Cancer Saturday night.
Just as the clock strikes midnight
changing Saturday into Sunday,
Saturn leaves Capricorn and enters Aquarius. We can see things so
clearly from here we can feel them. That clarity continues as Mercury
makes his 3rd sextile to Uranus in Taurus Sunday morning.
This feels very hopeful. Determined and inspired. Pieces of the
future puzzle keep clunking together as we allow ourselves to relax,
restore and dream ahead.
Sunday night feels soothed. Settled.
Satisfied, even. The Moon in Pisces snuggles with Venus in Taurus as
each discover Neptune. We likely sleep comfortably and deeply. Mars
finds Pluto by conjunction this night which helps to restore our
bodies. By Monday morning, we are ready to walk through “soft
launches” or test runs. We may take a final overview of the Void to
ensure it is absolutely empty. Not even a tiny speck of dust. We may
use the day to imagine our way forward in attempt to foresee
obstacles...places we may need assistance or balance. Tuesday, is the
day. The day we pull the trigger on our “Go.” Monday is the final
prep for the “Go.”

Sabian Symbol for 23 Capricorn
(From Dane Rudhyar):
A SOLDIER RECEIVING TWO AWARDS FOR
BRAVERY IN COMBAT.
KEYNOTE: The reward offered by society
for the fulfillment of individual responsibility. The fact that “two”
awards are emphasized makes us believe that this may refer subtly to
the recognition by the community that, whether he succeeded or
failed, an individual who discharged his duty nobly under unusual
circumstances is entitled to the respect and appreciation of the
collectivity he served so well. What is implied here is a constant
give-and-take between society and 627
the individual person. Each one should
be able to trust the other. This third symbol of the fifty-ninth
five-fold sequence extracts, as it were, a common element from the
two preceding scenes. The Keyword here is RECOMPENSE, i.e. a
compensation for a well done performance — a balancing of accounts.

A STORE FILLED WITH PRECIOUS ORIENTAL
RUGS. KEYNOTE: The use of cultural and artistic processes as means to
enhance personal comfort and appreciation. Corning after the
preceding symbol this one brings us back to the material, yet
esthetic, aspect of the benefits a society can bring its members. A
“rug” always implied to some extent something on which a person
stands or sits. It is a foundation for cultural “under-standing,”
and as such it can have a magical or sacred meaning, as in the case
of prayer rugs. The “woman in a convent” probably knows only the
bare floor, because her goal is one of transcendence, of surrendering
comfort as well as cultural patterns. But to the social elite, or
even to the oriental devotee praying to his god, society offers the
relative comfort of beautiful rugs so he may meet the universe, not
merely in terms of the support the natural soil gives, but protected
by and securely established on the mental-spiritual as well as manual
achievements of those who keep the cultural symbols alive. This is
the last symbol in the fifty-ninth five-fold sequence. It shows the
beautiful products of dedicated and inspired group performance at the
level of tradition. It emphasizes the value of RELIANCE ON TRADITION
