Full Moon in Aries 2019: Superstition, fear and jealousy

Our guide for this Full Moon in Aries, is the Moon. Which straight away tells us, “things are likely not how they appear.” As advice, the Moon tells us to move forward slowly. Follow the flow and know that things will take shape as we move forward. Our view is skewed and that could be due to acts of deception by others. There could be dangers ahead. If you can't see the road ahead of you, slow down and give your eyes time to adjust while using your other physical senses as well as your intuition to compensate for what you may not be able to see clearly just yet.

21 Libra (Sun) : A crowd upon the beach.

The Moon as guide is also a warning that matters of the emotional nature will be high. Which...heh, it's a Full Moon, Captain Literal Astrology. But, on that same note, it is also an indication of high levels of intuition and instinct. Those areas are sharp but there is a caution about moving ahead too quickly, allowing emotions to drive the situation or jumping to conclusions. It's a hunters moon and that calls for stealth, quiet and patience as well as an ability to control your animalistic nature in the interest of timing. You don't want to spook the thing you are stalking.
The Moon also advises that there is a chance for a “hall of mirrors” like effect. The Moon, known for mirroring the Sun just like it is doing at this Full Moon, as advice can suggest employing the tactic of mirroring or reflecting. It can advise for a need to stop and have a look at our own reflection, too. It can also be suggestive of our own projections, letting us know that sometimes what we perceive about others can actually tell us a whole lot about ourselves that we may have been previously unaware of. The element of disguise, masking and things done undercover all align with this nature of this card.
To me, the advice and what I've written above tells us all we need to know about how to deal with ourselves at this Full Moon But, the actually astrology of the Full Moon itself, fills out the “why's” behind how we need to position ourselves to move forward slowly quite nicely.

21 Aries (Moon) A pugilist entering the ring

At this Full Moon, we find both luminaries locked into a Cardinal t-square with Pluto in Capricorn. The outlet for the t-square is found in the sign of Cancer. That is definitely a signal to deal with the emotional and matters of home/safety/security first. This also makes sense with Moon in Aries, in general. Emotions (Moon) First (Aries). Face your personal emotions bravely and deal with them proactively FIRST before you decide what to do next if anything at all. That isn't procrastination. Procrastination veers toward putting off dealing with the emotions in favor of immediate action...act now; feel later. NOT a good idea. We could be prone to impulsive or knee jerk reaction in our dealings with others with the ruler of this Moon in minor aspect to Uranus. Yet, the highest call of Uranus in aspect to anything is to be cool and then move forward mindfully. In contact with Mars in a Air sign, there is emphasis on the need to stay cool, logical and balanced. While the nudge of Earth from Uranus in Taurus is hugely suggestive of letting things ground themselves out or come to ground before taking action. Mars in Libra is not a time to be “throwing the first punch” even if the Moon in Aries kind of makes us feel like we need to. Plus, Mars in Libra frames it's actions well around strategy, plays the long game and is certainly mindful of matters of timing. Our best route here is to slow ourselves down; deal proactively and healthfully with our emotions on personal levels aaaaand THEN decide what needs to be done in response IF anything at all. And, par for the course with Mars in Libra, the way forward may be best found by using an indirect route.

The Moon as guide is also an indication that we are passing through a gateway at this Lunation

Desires run deep with Venus in Scorpio. Whatever it is we are hunting at this Full Moon....we want it REALLY badly. Crave it. Obsess over it. Venus will have passed by Uranus in Taurus as this Full Moon waxes. So, not only are some things unclear due the high emotional intensity and potential for things to be deliberately skewed, but something important may have  been recently lost or taken away. We could be unsettled, uncomfortable, or still in somewhat of a panic or shock following what we incur on individual or collective levels as we are led into this Moon.
Much of what we are dealing with will be topics of conversation for the last quarter of the year since Mercury is found in his pre-retrograde shadow at this Full Moon. Expect that much digging for information will be done within the span of that retrograde. If you have something shady lurking in your closet or have a tendency to do things on the sly ...you might be justified in any anxiety about it coming to light. This Mercury retrograde is going to excavate and piece together all kinds of things. And, the station Rx is going to include a conjunction to Venus, which means some of what is uncovered could deal with matters of money, relationships or misconduct/crime within the same. Might be plenty of good old “coming to Jesus” moments for quite a few folks before we are done with this. However, if you ever wanted to delve into research of deep subject matter, studies of the occult, explore deep mysteries or solve a few mysteries of your own...this Mercury Rx period sure does have the energy to help you get to the bottom of it. Know that skeletons will fall out of closets the WHOLE time because that's the nature of this Mercurian beast. BUT, again, don't jump to conclusions when something is “shockingly” revealed because there is a high probability that some skeletons might be fake or could have even been planted. You know? Be patient. Do the fact checks. Let the story completely unfold with that. Mercury stations Rx on Halloween and will not exit his Rx shadow until about 12/8. OK?

Young Girl Feeding the Baby Chicks :: Francois Alfred Delobbe

Mars 7 Libra: A woman feeding chickens and protecting them from hawks.

The Full Moon takes place at 20 degrees. For that, we look to the Sabian symbols for 21 Aries and Libra. Blain Bovee advises that folks with placements opposing one another on these degrees can sometimes have issues with crowds or social spaces. I've noted experiences with things like claustrophobia, great sensitivities in regard to the concept of “personal space” and sometimes a need to either fit in or deliberately NOT fit in or stand out with either of these degrees activated. The claustrophobic tendency seems to gravitate more so to 21 Libra. Whereas with 21 Aries, there is a chance for social phobias/awkwardness or even, as Bovee advises, a decision about a whether or not it is worth it within a social situation to us to carve out space for ourselves.
For 21 Libra the symbol reads: A crowd upon a beach.
For 21 Aries the symbol reads: a pugilist entering the ring. This one can be indication of high stakes confrontation. A “fight” staged just for show. And, it always reminds me of the variation of routine found with athletes as they prepare for a contest. Some use the time before hand to pump themselves...get mean, get excited. Others use the time quietly listening to music, finding their focus, spending moments in reflection or prayer. Either way, at this stage of the game they know they are going to enter the ring for battle. But, still...there is time for pause and preparation before doing so. Time we are well advised to take.

Mars, the ruler of the Moon at this lunation is found answering to the sabian for 7 Libra which states “A women feeding chickens and protecting hawks” This is action that revolves assuming a position of that protects and nurtures things under our wings or that may be dependent upon us. It's an unspoken negotiation type of thing that takes into consideration the vulnerability of our “wards.” It slow action so as not to cause unnecessary disturbance as that could cause panic among the chicks or draw attention from the predator. This is an eye out for dangers while quietly still doing what is necessary in order to advocate and nurture those who may not be able to defend themselves.
Venus, the ruler of the Sun at this lunation, lingers around 7 Scorpio. The symbol for that reads “deep sea divers.” There is much going on beneath the surface here. Bovee advises of an “In deep” type of theme. He advises it can indicate that you need help (ie: deep sea divers receiving air from someone on the surface/boat) In my opinion, this can be looking deeply into something...really getting under the surface and digging deep. It can be self-checking for matters of shadow or ineffective coping mechanisms constructed as a result of trauma etc may be at play. With Venus, this can indicate something you care about or want deeply being involved. It can indicate digging deep for what it is that is most important or discovering/uncovering what it is we truly want (which will then lead Mars to acting accordingly). In dealings with money, it could point to having deep pits of debt or diving deep in search of resources/value or the discovery of deeply hidden tangible or intangible personal resources.

One of the key things with this mutual reception/commiseration happening between Mars and Venus (which is IMPORTANT at this Full Moon as these two rule the luminaries) is the condition of Venus. Venus is leading the way by semi-sextile here. But, she's also kind of calling the shots on what it is we do (Mars). So, that's what we need to dive deeply for at this Moon. What is it that is REALLY important to us? What values are deeply rooted in the core of us? What do we have to have to survive? What is it that we really want? Draw boundaries around what it is you are willing to do to get it. Be willing to play the long game and be strategic.
This is the Full Hunter's Moon. It finds us hungry as well as emotionally primed. Our instincts are yearning for something and there may be great temptation to go after it by shady means. However, the depth of our desires and what we uncover in the shadow of our hearts might just show us how we are overly obsessed. Overly attached. Too willing to be brutal or abusive to others just to be comfortable ourselves while also showing us where we are allowing these shadows to drive us. But, if the heart is pure and certain then the action that follows will be on point.

On the high end, though, if you have negative attachment to release, toxic relationships to sever, big things you need to let go of or reform (anything like quitting smoking or reforming unhealthy habits, etc) this is your Moon to set forth your release intentions for it. It's an excellent time for making things like war water, deploying energetic home protections and taking all the pre-Mercury Rx precautions by being proactive about backing up electronic information and streamlining information processes. It's also a great time to enter therapy or to explore issues of your personal mental health. The entirety of Mercury's stay in Scorpio is richly primed for that. But, AT this Moon, remember that folks around you could very well be confused, primed/looking for a fight and basically responding poorly to matters of high emotion and discomfort. What's most important in that is ensuring you don't get swept up in that crowd of madness. Give yourself some space. Let the picture continue to unfold. Deal with the personal emotional stuff first. Then, start with the self-inspections of what it is that is important to you. What it is that you are really are yearning for. Then you'll know what it is you need to do next. Don't allow yourself to be instigated into action before you are ready. Know that some of what irks you or trips your anger trigger, could actually also include a little reflection of you in it.
