The Moon still wanes in
Pisces this morning finding Neptune by conjunction at about 8 AM.
This sets forth a groggy Monday in which we may be tempted to want to
reach back and grab hold of the weekend again. However, Mars is also
stationing direct in Capricorn at about 10 AM. So, the call to drag
ourselves back toward production and accountability is still there.
The weekend felt very
stalled out due to Mars' condition in preparing to turn back around.
As he stations direct under a super sensitized Moon, we could
actually feel a little rushed rather than stalled out. There could be
some anxiety to deal with due that. This is going to be particularly
true under our Moon in Aries. The thing of it being, the anxious
energy is due Mars' station. It will level out. The key to that is
employ what you learned during the retrograde. Set your own pace.
And, attempt to keep that in line with your abilities. Plus, keep
your expectations of yourself realistic.
After Mars turns direct he
makes a quintile with Jupiter. Meanwhile, Mercury is still waxing
into square with Jupiter (due to perfect at 1:32 AM EDT). These
aspects from Jupiter can cause us to conflate our abilities while
also skewing our perspective at the same time. But, this is Mars in
Capricorn. You don't take off bolting up a mountain. You pace
yourself. Making sure every step is well placed and that you can
remain sure footed. Keep your ideas humble and simple. Keep your
steps small and deliberately placed. You can offset some of the
potential anxiety of this station by way of deliberately stepping
back from becoming overstimulated be that through your diet or the
amount of information you take into your brain. Being well grounded
helps to offset both the potential anxiety and potential confusion
brought about by our Moon in Pisces.
The thing you don't want to
do is take off running. Chiron is still in Aries. If you've ever been
leisurely sitting around for a bit and then are catalyzed to get up
and run toward something...only to find that one of your legs has
fallen asleep and now does not support you as you are trying to
stand...that's a lot what Chiron in Aries is like. You try to get up
quickly but something fails and you end up on your face in the floor.
So, take your time in “rising” here. It will be just little while
before we are ready to go from a slow walk forward to a more swiftly
paced step.
At 10:25 AM, the Moon is
trine her traditional ruler, Jupiter. This is buoyant and hopeful
with the only issue perhaps being perspective. You can zoom in and
out as needed. But normally this feels pretty good even if not overly
ambitious. It's more relaxed and best matched with an ability to not
take yourself too seriously. On the low end, this can run into over
the top emotionality or fatigue.
By 3:12 PM, the Moon
receives strong support from a sextile to Pluto. This grounding and
endurance delivered in a gentle way. It helps the emotional body
restore and also aids in flushing any residual or soured emotions out
of our system. This is an excellent aspect (along with the trine to
Jupiter) for spiritual cleansing, purging or detox efforts. If you
are starting a traditional work week...take it slow.
The Moon remains active
through the night while Mercury squares Jupiter. So, there could be
some busy brain as we try to go to sleep or even nightmares. The big
deal, again, perspective and grounding to help this pass more easily.
The Moon will sextile Mars at 9:54 AM tomorrow before reaching Void
status. She remains Void for only a few hours before entering Aries
at 12:35 PM.

The Moon is still active in
Pisces this morning and waxing into sextile with Mars newly direct in
Capricorn. This provides energy and traction. But, still, the
indication is to continue to be slow and diligent. The Moon is Void
at 9:34 AM following this sextile. She enters Aries at 12:35 PM.
By 2:58 PM the Moon is
conjunct Chiron. This is where we are likely to fall on our faces if
we attempted to get started at too quick a pace. It's where we meet
our limits whether we want to admit they are there are not. This
aspect feeds into the next which is a square to Saturn at 5:37 PM.
Now, this is not a joyful thing. And following the conjunction with
Chiron it can feel like being held back or perhaps being told that we
just are not trying hard enough. But, the cue here is toward goal
orientation not speed of production. Do you want quality or cheap and
easy. Because Uranus in Taurus is going to gear us toward quality in
the long term. Again. Slow down. Be patient with yourself and your
progress even if no one else is. You don't have to care.
The rest of the day and
tomorrow are filled with minor aspects across the sky. The most
important one, in my opinion, being the inconjunct from Mercury to
Pluto that doesn't come in until late tomorrow night. However, the
thing about that is Mercury is now retracing his shadow. He has been
sitting at the tip of a Yod between Pluto and Neptune (as he also
squared Jupiter) since the Full Moon last weekend. How we think about
things, ourselves and attempt to express that has relevance. Plus,
what was misconstrued in the land of information during Mercury's
retrograde now has a chance to straighten itself out. Above and
beyond all that, the Yod itself offers us a chance to understand how
the timing of our birth and the generational issues we were born into
may have shaped how we think of ourselves and how we choose to
express that. There is chance here to readjust as needed...to blur
focus in or out.
Today is best set toward a
slow and conscious pace with action oriented around a specific goal.
Note your progress no matter how small and be easy with yourself.
What is happening in your brain is more important than what you can
produce at this time. Frame your perspective appropriately and be
patient with yourself.

We are still under the
influence of the Moon in Aries. However, there are no major aspects
coming from Luna until after midnight tonight. Today is filled with
personal nuance. Plus, it is also the day Mercury officially makes
his inconjunct to Pluto. I encourage you to riddle your fears and
obsessions until you have a stronger sense of control of them while
also sussing out their roots.
As Mercury finds Pluto by
inconjunct at 11:36. Then, just after midnight our Moon in Aries
squares Pluto. The night is dark and full of terrors...is a phrase
that comes to mind. But, most of them are a trick of your own mind
that you can gain a firmer grasp of control over if you are brave
enough to stare them down. There can also be some insidiousness that
creeps into your brain or you could be affected by someone who plans
to manipulate or control you in various ways. You don't have to let
any of that work. If you are worried or fearful of something, really
the best way to use this set up is to do some detective work and
introspection in an effort to find where that is coming from. At 1:02
AM, the brain is still spinning as the Aries Moon meets Mercury by
trine. It very well could be a rather restless night.

The Moon remains active in
Aries today. She wakes us up with an uncomfortable opposition to
Venus in Libra at 6:56 AM. There may be some rather grumpy folks out
there for one reason or another. Most likely due lack of sleep and
hyper-focus on personal issues. But Venus in Libra says the mask of
decorum and boundary is better than being a rude and pushy schmuck to
others just because you are having grouchy moment.
At 7:04 the Moon squares
Mars and there is a push to grow up and remember that there is real
world work to do. We are reminded of our goals and the struggles of
the summer thus far. There could be anger, frustration or even a
little bit of a disconnect between what we feel like doing and what
are beholden to do through responsibility. Note your progress no
matter how small and keep your pace small and diligent. Aries Moon is
NOT patient. Aries Moon square Mars? Even less so. However the Moon
goes Void following this aspect. Ride it out.
At 9:30 PM, the Moon
flickers back on in the sign of Taurus. We find her conjunct Uranus
at 1:51 AM and trine Saturn less than hour later. This is grounding,
the brilliance of simplicity and common sense along with a natural
inclination toward a slower and more diligent pace. We are allowed
draw from our past experience and perhaps create a few new personally
scripted rules/guidelines for ourselves that are anything BUT
complicated. This set up allows us to detach a bit from emotional
issues and ground. Danger being making things more complicated than
they need to be. Uranus in Taurus is simple and common sense genius.
Saturn in Capricorn is due diligence and realizes that the work you
do “on the ground” will eventually lead you up the ladder. This
is a slow build. You are allowed to take your time and look for
common sense solutions over and above something more complicated or
convoluted.

The Moon is still in slow,
plodding Taurus and active as she squares the nodal axis at 7:37 AM
and then goes on to trine the Sun in Virgo at 12:42 PM. We may feel
as if we are working at cross purposes to our “call to destiny.”
In reality we are still building the foundations. The Sun and Moon in
Earth trine is..again, slow and diligent but wonderfully supportive.
Slow and diligent still rules the day. And, complicated is not on the
agenda. Keep it simple.
At 1:33 AM, the Moon makes a
nice relaxing sextile to Neptune in Pisces. This reminds me of
bedtime at my house, actually. I have a Moon in Pisces and am married
to a Virgo with a Taurus Moon. We both work our butts off during the
day at wholly different tasks. But...when we fall into bed at night
we are thinking the same thing. “I love bed.” This energy helps
us to relax and get comfortable. Any issues with restlessness fade
away as we slip into our nighttime comforts and drift off to dream.

This morning the Taurus Moon
is opposed Jupiter in Scorpio and trine Pluto in Capricorn. The
weight on our shoulders could feel tremendous. But, we have the
endurance to keep pushing through. Moon trine Pluto offers
determination and endurance. While Jupiter in Scorpio allows us to
project into the future to assess the potential pay off for our
efforts. Of course, perspective can be at issue with Moon/Jupiter.
Make sure you aren't looking at something too closely or taking
something too seriously. This set up still nicely grounded and
wonderfully focused. Issue with that being a lunar square to Mercury
at midday. Listen, we all have a lot on our plates. Few are going to
empathic to pleas about “what about me” or attention seeking
distractions. That is what this square could bring to us. If you meet
up with a whiner or someone having a temper tantrum melt down, feel
free to moooo at them and then go about your business.
At about 2 AM the Moon will
trine Mars in Capricorn. There is chance for self-satisfaction and an
ability to understand the importance of the slow build. It's sturdy
and reliable. Following this trine, the Moon is Void until entering
the sign of Gemini at 4:02 AM Sunday morning.

There isn't much happening
in today's sky either. You have no idea how much it thrills me to be
able to say this about most of the week after what seems like an
entire summer of...”If you think this is bad...just wait!”
We do have the Moon in
Gemini which calls us to a lighter state of being and ability to be
flexible. That is a switch from what we've experienced under the
sturdy and steadfast Taurus Moon. Tonight is the last quarter Moon
which pits the Moon in Gemini against the Sun in Virgo. This is one
of the easier squares to manage, actually. Gemini is our curious
student. That's fine with the Virgo Sun. However, the key with the
Sun in Virgo is not just collecting information or swapping it around
as Gemini is prone to do...but actually employ it. So, this quarter
tasks us with taking all that we've learned and putting to use. Other
than that, we continue to sweep out this Moon cycle in preparation
for the New Moon in Virgo next week.
Most of the week is spent
just re-calibrating. Figuring out where we are, what we should do
next and assessing what progress (if any) has been thus far. It's not
the time to get impatient and think you can bolt out of the gate. It
won't take you too long to figure that out either. So, take your
time. Ease into this week and take it step by step without allowing
yourself to succumb to pressure to rush. Set your own pace on
“manageable,” rest when you can and keep inching forward.
