Today there seems to be some form and
function. But, there is also illusion and perhaps slight of hand. The
Moon still yet resides in Virgo. She leaves last night's sextile with
Pluto and moves toward a square with Saturn. Prior to all that, Venus
and Jupiter meet by conjunction drawing messages from 8 Scorpio. They
are both waxing in trine to Neptune in Pisces while the degree of
their conjunction alludes to the mirage type imagery fostered under a
glittery full Moon. Meanwhile, Mercury in Sagittarius squares off
with Neptune at around 6 PM EST.
Sabian symbol for 8 Scorpio: High
mountain lake is bathed in the full moonlight. Illuminating of the
soul by transcendent wisdom. Quiet touch with cosmic strength; or
wayward moody effort at greatness.
The ability for the Virgo Moon to
separate the wheat from the chaff in regard to information is
bolstered (but not overjoyed) by the square to Saturn. Meanwhile, if
someone tries to shade the truth under Mercury/Neptune, the
Venus/Jupiter conjunction is likely to have folks “feeling” how
off it is even without logical evidence.
I don't expect much productive effort
today as the “feel” is generally pretty dreamy and relaxed. I am
rather suspicious of this conjunction of Venus and Jupiter as neither
are well placed in the sign of Scorpio by traditional Astrology
terms. But, I shall be watching to see how this goes down. I suspect
there could be a tendency to over-indulge in things considered taboo
or perhaps a bit of an exacerbation of the negative connotations of
Venus in Scorpio (greed, envy...your pick of the 7 deadly) since
Jupiter is non-discretionary in regard to what type of energy he
expands or spotlights.
The Moon is Void following the 10:46 AM
square with Saturn. Therefore, the observations we make coming from
the Mercury/Neptune square are likely going to be rather
dispassionate. The Moon wakes up in Libra at 6:38 PM.

Today the Moon is in Libra.
She makes no major aspects until later this evening with a sextile to
Mercury following a wafting inconjunct to Neptune between 4-6:30 PM
EST. She then goes on to make a conjunction with Mars at nightfall
followed by a square to Pluto at 3:13 AM.
All this gives passive
aggressive means punctuation. We lightly chat with Moon/Mercury but
as the Moon nears Mars emotions may take a deluded and irate tone.
There is uncertainty and perhaps misunderstanding mixed with this as
both the Moon and Mars are under Neptune's influence. The square to
Pluto could breed paranoia or subservient/abusive control efforts.
Early in the day is good for
taking care of business, clearing the air or bringing conclusion to
communicative efforts. Remember, however, that Mercury is still tight
to Neptune so ask for clarification or ensure your message is being
delivered as intended. Also, know that Mercury is now officially in
his retrograde shadow. Some of what is discussed during his forward
trace through shadow will be revisited...perhaps a few times. Know
the story doesn't completely unfold until he exits his shadow having
made 3 conjunctions to Saturn, 3 squares to Chiron and 3 trines to
the nodes and Uranus.
After all, we are headed
into a New Moon trine Chiron that culminates in a Gemini Full Moon
with both luminaries square Neptune. Things are going to be
confusing. That is what I'm trying to tell you.
Later in the day, though, is
more reserved for dealing with ourselves. The personal demons,
temptations and shadows creep in during Moon/Pluto. Due the time that
square culminates there may even be nightmares associated with that.
Not rare and the Moon is waning strongly so it can also be used for
emotional purge, as well.

The Moon still resides in
Libra with her only major aspect, opposition to Uranus, coming in at
6:37 PM EST. Most are trying to keep things light, masked and
pleasant. Then, gloves start coming off and masks hit the floor with
with opposition. This is balancing self-against other, the ability to
be personally authentic versus how we attached we are to the
expectation of other. It can also be anxious making and put a feeling
of being “rushed” behind decision making which most definitely
makes Libra Moon uncomfortable. Balanced appropriately, though, and
Libra Moon is inspired to stand tall and in connection with her true
tribe. Oppression and censorship is what she will rebel against. She
is wildly interested in matters of social welfare, justice and the
future in general.
She quickly steadies herself
following the antagonistic nature of the Uranus opposition with a
mature and stable trine to the solid “truth” of Saturn in
Sagittarius at about 8 PM. From here, the Moon is Void until entering
Scorpio overnight. The waters run deep, of course. But, the surface
at this point is still fairly still. They do begin a gentle swirl as
the element of water rises in relevance in our tomorrow.

Water. Water...and more
water today. We have 4 major bodies in Scorpio now with the Moon
holding residence with Jupiter, Venus and the Sun. Plus, the is in a
watery trine with Chiron as Venus perfects in trine to Neptune.
Jupiter waxes in steadily but not perfecting in the same trine until
December 2. Neptune is stationed right now so his influence is quite
strong. He turns direct on 11/22. So, he is also direct at the
Jupiter trine which occurs just hours before Mercury officially turns
Rx on Dec. 3. Again, he is officially in shadow at this moment.
Today, though, as I've said
the tides rise and water becomes overly accessible offering us a
chance to bring “full flush” of the emotional system. Tears. A
feeling of being emotional hung over or numb. I've a tendency to
believe most will be introverted and quiet. Though there could be
whispers among trusted friends or behind closed doors. Not much of
what is discussed will be public information at this point. Some of
it may never be. But, there are some discussions that occur tonight
that will bear influence on the public forum in due time. Sun to
Chiron, even though by gentle trine, will pull wounds to the surface.
The Moon is low. So, part of the point of this is to allow them to
crest and surface so that poisons can be expelled. But, in a way,
it's like vomiting. You know? That is not fun. It purges what it
needs to purge but rarely is it something we take on by choice unless
we are so completely miserable due the sickness in our bellies.
Speaking of sickness in the
bellies, this trine along with the Venus/Neptune action does indicate
bouts with “sea sickness” or maybe even a stomach/digestive
related virus. Lethargy for one reason or another will not be
uncommon. Step up your physical boundaries and remember to take
deliberate attempt to bolster your immune
system...wash...your...hands. Systems are definitely permeable here.
Overnight we are storming
the deep as the Moon conjuncts Jupiter (ensure you maintain proper
perspective on the deep well of emotions brought forth in this day).
From there, the Moon moves overnight to trine Neptune and conjunct
Venus. Rest is very highly indicated as well as being careful with
any medications you may be taking for illnesses this may stir into
your sphere. It is likened to the day the crew headed from Oz tripped
into the poppy field. Sleep, my pretties. Sleep. And, of course,
release more than you try to dam up. Water needs to flow.

Today, the tongues begin to
wag again as Mars in Libra meets with Mercury in Sagittarius by
sextile. The Moon from Scorpio also makes a sextile with Pluto at
midday. Many feel better than yesterday. More alert. More “in the
game” so to speak while others breach the doorway of recovery.
This is the last day of the
current Moon cycle. A fresh new Moon breaks forth tomorrow morning.
That makes today good for, again, clearing the air. Bringing about
closure. Focusing in on wiping the slate clean in preparation for a
new start. Of course, the purging on an emotional level is still an
astute call as well as directly assessing what has been brought forth
by the tandem action of Uranus and Chiron on the whole.
The New Moon in the morning
is good for fresh starts. But, it's not good for drawing conclusions
on important matters just yet. Mercury is still wonky and will remain
so for quite some time. Continue to gather information and note the
story lines.
The thing about Scorpio that
dawns upon me under this New Moon is that the sign is so enduring and
so tenacious. Sometimes, too much so. Sometimes to its own detriment.
Giving up or quitting is not the Scorpio forte. It's more of a
bloodied brow going for more. Yet. Sometimes quitting is the best
thing depending on what it is. For example if you have dug yourself
to rock bottom it might be a good idea to quit digging. Rest a bit.
Reset your priorities and trajectory before beginning again. That's
kind of the point at this New Moon.
Both luminaries trine Chiron
and the card I received for guidance at this lunation is none other
than the 9 of Wands which has made SEVERAL appearances at lunations
during this year. I will post a separate write up in regard to this
New Moon as we draw more near to it. But, for now, here is the just
the delineation of the guidance card to give us an idea of what we
are looking at here.
For
real, when then card turned up as advice, I said “My gosh! How many
times is this card going to show up this year?” In response I
heard, “As many times as it takes for ya'll to get it.” OK...
This
card first showed up at the Full Moon Eclipse in Leo in February. He
came along again under the New Moon in Taurus in April. He made a
third appearance at the First New Moon in Leo (before the second set
of eclipses). This is his fourth show this year. It's pretty
interesting that he habitually shows up under a lunar movement in a
fixed sign, huh?
Fixed
energy is fixed. I've said over and over that fixed energy has a
tendency to fall into ruts. It's also true that there are times when
we become so very tenacious and determined that we end up bloodying
our head against the same blocks. Ramming them. Beating them.
Focusing and fixating on them never looking at other options.
Like...walking around the block. Going over it. We keep doing the
same thing over and over get lost in our determination to overcome
the thing.
But,
when we stop and assess what it is we are truly trying to accomplish
the block becomes less and less of a factor. We are not truly trying
to defeat the block. We are trying to get where we want to go.
We've
fought many battles this year. We've had the opportunity to take much
action. Fire has been an ever blazing factor in the background. Now
is the time to stop and assess your past actions. Invoke the
proverbial pause to ensure that your actions align with your heart
and life philosophy. We also realize that some battles are unworthy
of our efforts. Some fights contain chance at too much collateral
damage. Maybe it's time to stop fighting and start learning.
Changing. Understanding.
Maybe
we've done all we can possibly do and need to let the consequences
fall where they may or kneel in prayer for assistance. We are almost
finished here. There's just a little further to go. Stop and think
about where you've been, what you've done and where you are going.
Ask for forgiveness if you need to. Recognize your accomplishments.
Then dig deep, draw upon whatever you have in reserve and keep moving
forward with faith and tenacity in tow. Be willing to bend and
stretch over obstacles. Be brave enough to blaze a new way out of
this forest. Pause. Recalibrate your compass. Then, see this thing
through to the end whether by exerting the last bits of energy you
have in reserve or through surrender.
