Morning Star: Daily Astrology for January 9, 2015

This morning, we try to wake up under an opposition from the Moon in Virgo to Neptune in Pisces. It's a groggy, foggy, watery morning in which some may have to drag themselves out of bed while some may just decide to stay there.

Once we do finally wake up, the Moon quietly begins to check in with planets traveling through Aquarius by inconjunct. She meets Mercury (her current ruler) at 7:24 AM and Venus at 9:08 AM. When the Moon reaches about 9 degrees, it creates a loose Yod with both Mercury and Venus in Aquarius and Uranus in Aries. These three planets are involved in a waxing sextile due to perfect in the upcoming days. Venus perfects in sextile to Uranus on January 13. Mercury officially meets his current ruler by sextile on January 14. These aspects work in tandem to raise our level of intelligence around matters dealing with money/relationships and how we take in and exchange information or communicate. The Moon's brief position in the Yod soaks in this intelligence on an emotional level. Plus, it gives us a preview of the energy in an unusual way.

You see, we could still be roiling emotionally after the square from the Moon to Saturn last night. That could have led to an emotional hangover this morning under the opposition to Neptune. As that energy leaves us and we begin to get back up on our feet again, the brain starts churning in regard to how to solve this emotionally charged situation. In that churning and raising of mental and visceral energies, our emotional body is fed. Our job is take all this information and sort it out to make practical sense of it. Virgo Moon does worry. But, in this instance, the Virgo Moon is being called to level up. Uranus is the higher octave of our Virgo Moon's current ruler, Mercury. We are being called to emotionally stretch from the non-productive state of worry to the more productive state of formulating plans in regard to how to change current circumstances for the better or at the very least, ground in an effort to deal effectively with them. In our efforts to do that, it may be necessary to detach from the immediate emotions so that we can think more clearly and logically. It's not that we deny our emotional body or ignore it. It is just that we step to the side of it for a bit and observe instead of allowing it to swamp us. If you meditate on a regular basis (or even if you don't), then between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM is the spot in the day I would earmark for such activity. Quiet yourself and allow the insight to reveal itself.

Such efforts pay off, too. As this Yod is in force, the Moon is also waxing in trine to Pluto which perfects at 9:21 PM tonight. Our emotional body is filled with endurance and we begin to feel as if we can do this or at the least bear the brunt of it. Either way, we feel as if we can make it through. It probably still hurts (the Moon meets Chiron by opposition at 10:39 PM), but we can survive.

It's an odd day. One in which, on the surface, things seem like business as usual. But, below the surface a myriad of swirling energy is affecting us on an emotional level. Much is brewing that is not readily shown.

Tomorrow is much more grounded with a trine from the Moon in Virgo to the Sun in Capricorn that waxes in at 10:46 AM. From this point, the Moon is Void until entering Libra at 6:57 AM on January 11th. We will likely be ready for the lights to go off on the Moon for awhile after the high emotionality of the previous two days. That is exactly what the Universe gifts us, a chance to ground and assimilate. Know if you wake up this morning under an emotional hangover, that relief is coming. So hang in there! This is something we are going to be given the tools to work through. We just need to be patient, a bit pro-active in stretching to meet the higher calling of Uranus and wait for the pieces to come together. Then, we will rest upon that as our efforts percolate under the Void Moon tomorrow. Know that illness is still very prevalent within these aspects. If you are suffering from the flu, a cold or some other type of temporary bodily invasion, the opposition to Neptune could have those symptoms flaring. The inconjuncts to Mercury, Venus and Uranus would be great for going to the doctor and feeling a bit of relief by tonight. Then, tomorrow's Void Moon could be used for rest and recovery. Whether you are sick in your body or sick in your heart, assistance is available; but, you do have to stretch a little to get to it.
