This morning, we wake up to the Moon
still lingering in Aries. At 8:26 AM, she opposes Mercury in Libra
reaching Void status until the Moon enters Taurus at 4:34 PM. Ahhhh,
Taurus. It's like we have been diligently running the bases during
the World Series of Life and just slid into apple pie.
At least I hope this Taurus Moon is
like that. I'm always highly optimistic about them. However, Taurus
is packing the emotional intensity this month as the Full Moon occurs
in the sign on October 6.
I'm looking forward to the Full Moon,
myself. It marks the Sun's exit from via combusta. Heck yeah! Give me
some of that! Trials by fire are exhausting.
Also, between the time that Moon
opposes Mercury and enters Taurus, the Sun in Scorpio perfects in
trine to Chiron in Pisces (1:20 PM). Watery. Potentially painful.
But, an opportunity to examine how we may have built some of our ego
based upon painful experiences. An opportunity to be a little gentle
with ourselves as we realize we may have built some debunk coping
mechanisms in light of our pain. An opportunity to heal a little
which is quickly followed by an opportunity to vow to stop having how
we operate in life dictated to us through pain.
After the Sun trines Chiron, he meets
Uranus in Aries by inconjunct (4:59 PM). This occurs after the Moon
is in Taurus and no longer void. It provides for more shedding of
snake skin. But, moreover, it gives opportunity for personal change
which is not an easy thing for Scorpio or Taurus.
But, Taurus will change if given the
proper motivation or incentive. This Moon relishes physical comfort
and it is very hard to get physically comfortable when you have
metaphorical shards of glass sticking in your heart.
While under the influence of Sun trine
Chiron, things may feel rather bittersweet. There is opportunity to
heal and free ourselves from being controlled by long standing pain
with the inconjunct to Uranus. But, the process could be quite
painful and emotional, too. It's most likely that this will be an
untouchable type of pain. Yet the possibility of physical pain for
various reasons also exists.
The aim here is to be better. To feel
better. To be more solidly ourselves...our true selves that we often
hide away because we are mistrustful or, because, we have been kicked
in the teeth for being our true selves so often in the past.
When a person is experiencing emotional
or physical pain, the body can respond with increased blood pressure,
rapid heart rates and erratic breathing. That most certainly wears on
the body rapidly making it even more imperative to address these
things. Know the pace of time has the potential to slow a bit today.
But, it's entirely possible that we could be roiling on the inside
all while seeking a place of shelter for comfort and stability.
Mourning may be necessary.
Self-nurturing may be in order. And, I would encourage you to indulge
in either one you need.
The first aspect by our Moon in Taurus
is a sextile to Neptune in Pisces at midnight tonight. You can
release the excess emotionality of the situation. And, if you
practice self-care early in the evening, there is a good chance a
solid night's sleep may follow.
Tomorrow holds chance for release
followed by a bit of relief. But, the build up to the Full Moon is in
full swing. Emotions today are likely to be high and uncomfortable.
Look for those places of comfort but don't ignore what is going on
under the surface. It won't go away on its own. Obviously, since most
of it has been with you for longer than you can even remember. At
least you are now aware of how it is affecting you and can strive to
treat yourself more nicely while directing yourself more consciously.
Yeah. We deserve some pie after all of
that. And, ice cream. Or, maybe even a cookie and some soothing warm
hot chocolate and a nice (freshly washed and dried, sweet smelling)
fuzzy blanket. Yes. We deserve at least that much.
