If you are reading this, pat
yourself on the back. You have officially survived August! Of course,
some of the energy from August will follow us into the first of
September reactivating our most recent eclipse point.
Today, the Moon resides in
Capricorn. We find her softened by sextile to Neptune as the Sun
rises. This does increase sensitivity and could make getting started
this morning a slow and relaxed affair. Listening to your favorite
tunes while working can help you keep pace and aid production.
The sky grows more intense
as the day moves forward, however. By 2:29 PM the Moon is conjunct
Pluto in Capricorn which could cause fear and paranoia to grow. Or,
there could be attempts at emotional manipulation or control as well.
The best use of this is focus. Pinpointing the shadowy fears that may
usurp us from fulfilling our goals while being given the fortitude to
face down those fears as they are recognized.
At midnight, the Moon
squares Jupiter in Libra. Wherever we are emotionally, it grows. This
aspect is wonderful for blowing emotional matters way out of
proportion. Ensure you check perspective. It can operate expansively
upon any set of emotions. Yet, there is also a bit of buoyancy found
here. This can lift the mood from the depths we experienced during
Moon/Pluto or operate to make the situation worse. The best bet is to
attempt to level and balance things out from a grounded and well
boundaried position. Focus where you find joy and allow that to
expand under Moon/Jupiter.

Today is all about Uranus.
Electrified. Energetic. Catalyst. Rebellious. Unique. Independent.
Expert. Unusual. Cold. Reactive. Explosive. Those are just a few key
words that get tossed around when Uranus is in play. Today we will
experience both harsh and harmonious aspect to Uranus. But,
regardless of the aspect, the same potentials for negative and low
expressions exist.
On a personal level during a
transit from Uranus, one is well-advised to increase grounding
efforts, avoid over-stimulation by way of diet or brain and to find a
safe outlet to dispel excess energy. These efforts reduce the
tendency to become reactive, irritable and anxious. On a collective
level, the energy can cause volatility, explosions, electrical
issues, fires and other situations that require emergent response.
The energy that brings these possibilities is the same energy that
can be used to respond to it. And, responding is key. That means
slowing down long enough to think things through and fully asses the
situation to avoid the impulsive reaction. It's best to aim for
clarity and conscious decision making/action. Yet, that is usually
the last thing folks want to do.
High end expression of this
energy enables us to respond quickly and precisely when needed. We
can increase personal expertise and craft inventive and unique
solutions. We are able to detach from the immediacy of the situation
in an effort to discern the best course of action.
It is also worthy to note
that the trine between Mars and Uranus today does occur on the
eclipse point. We may experience sudden and unexpected (perhaps angry
and forceful even) responses relating to ecliptic themes. Mercury Rx
will converge with Mars on this point and station direct later this
week.
Often, folks will note an
incoming eclipse and stand with bated breath at the hour of
perfection waiting for something serious to go down. Sometimes, it
does. But, most often, eclipse happenings occur over a period of
time. Their effects can be sudden and occur right in the moment. Most
often, though, they trickle into our lives with varied themes. What
I've seen most from our most recent New Moon Eclipse are folks
unwittingly put right in the right place at just the right time.
Either way, the effects are not always as obvious as you would think.
Yet, as planets transit recent eclipse points, picking up on the
theme of the Eclipse itself is, indeed, quite possible.
The Mars/Uranus trine
perfects early this morning (8:14 AM) while the Moon/Uranus square
perfects early afternoon (12:31 PM). The Moon does go on to form
inconjunct to both Mercury and Mars at around 2 PM; but, by this
point, the Moon has been rendered unto Void status. She remains Void
until entering Aquarius (who is ruled by Uranus in modern Astrology)
at 4:08 PM. Mercury Rx will meet Mars on the eclipse point very early
tomorrow morning under an active Aquarius Moon at 5:38 AM.
Take a step back. Breathe.
Reduce your intake of dietary stimulants (caffeine, sugar, etc). Slow
down. Remain mindful. Stay cool but don't turn cold. And, realize
folks may be antsy, jumpy or reactive during the next few days.

The major happening of this
day is the conjunction of Mars and Mercury Rx upon the eclipse point
early this morning. While Mercury is not officially “to the second”
in trine to Uranus, the aspect does come within less than a degree of
perfection. There is still quite a bit of crackle in the air.
Mercury's entrance into this set up is not likely to really “help”
the matter either. The same suggestions for weathering the potential
effects of our Lightning God remain the same as yesterday.
At 11:35 AM the Moon and
Venus in Leo are at odds. This opposition can create discomfort,
dissatisfaction and a little bit of “what about me” at a time
when folks are more concerned about collective or societal issues.
The best use of the energy has us engaging within the collective and
our social venues with a gentle sense of self-confidence, respect and
worth. You can balance the polarity between what you value (Venus in
Leo) and what the collective may need (Aquarius Moon).
The rest of the day goes by
without major aspect. Though, I assure you, the Mercury Rx/Mars
conjunction upon the eclipse point is going to be enough of an
aspect to deal with all by itself for one day Stay grounded, careful
and alert out there!
