Happy February 2nd! I am not
sure exactly why, but there is an air of celebration around this day.
I know of a few cultures that do have celebrations that correspond
with early February. At the very least, it's Groundhog Day here in
the US. I'm like, who cares about the groundhog? The days are getting
longer...anybody noticed that?!
This morning we wake up to a Void Moon
in Cancer. However, as the lights are off on the Moon, the Sun in
Aquarius perfects in sextile to Uranus in Aries. No worries. The
energy from that transit will still be in effect and accessible as
the Moon enters Leo at 12:41 PM.
Personalities are waking up this
afternoon. People are becoming more animated. Emotions are rising.
The Moon is building toward max capacity. But, within that, we are
freely expressing ourselves individually. In turn, we are
appreciative of those who do the same. Genuine self expression is
highly favored under this sky. Acknowledge your own differences and
appreciate those you find in others.
At 7:54 PM, the Moon meets Saturn in
Sagittarius by supportive trine. This brings solidness of character
and essential grounding. Stuff we need and can put to good use along
with the energy coming from Sun in aspect to Uranus. We are centered
and grounded in ourselves and not afraid to be who we are while we
are feeling what we are feeling. We are essential cogs in an
interdependent wheel. Our differences are not something that drives
us apart, but rather something that gives the machine cohesion,
traction and functionality. We are integral parts of something larger
than ourselves but also well rounded and functional all by ourselves
when away from the collective. Stand alone or stand together. We are
folks that can do both when needed.
Sounds pretty nice, eh? Well, to me,
this day does look pretty nice. It's upbeat while remaining on task.
It is freely expressive without being overbearing. It is cooperative
and open to new experience. It encourages you to be you as you
subsequently support others to do the same.
Tomorrow is our Full Moon in Leo. There
is very little friction that occurs between now and then. The Moon
does oppose Mercury at midnight. The rest of the trek toward this
Full Moon looks pretty smooth to me. The big call under tomorrow's
sky will be to let go of more selfish and immature behaviors. Take
what has happened in the recent past and use it as fodder to grow
stronger and more resilient. Stand true in “who you are” while
finding your place in the bigger picture at the same time.
Instead of allowing old wounds and
triggers to prompt you to do something you normally wouldn't, work to
protect those triggers and heal the events that fostered those wounds
to begin with. Don't let them steer your ship without your permission
anymore. They too are a part of you that needs just as much care and
attention as any other part. Love the whole of you all while striving
to improve and become more self-mastered. Encourage the same for the
people you come in contact with. Be the cheerleader and supporter of
optimism and new perspectives. Help others find their own trajectory
and source of hope for the future. Keep your own candle lit
generously helping to light the candles of others.
That, my friends, is what the sky is
calling us to do under this waxing Moon. Go get you some of it!
