Jolinda “Josi” Case is a Spiritual Counselor who uses Tarot and Astrology (among other tools) as forms of divination. She is an avid and vigorous student of the esoteric. Josi has a great deal of experience in assisting people through major life changes such as death/dying/grief through counseling.

Josi’s main motivation is to empower others by assisting them to connect with and express their most true and authentic self. She also strives to give people the authority to feel comfortable in the pursuit of their personal Spirituality.

Josi’s formal education includes collegiate level degrees in Communications, Business and Psychology. She is also an ordained minister. In her free time (HA!), she writes a weekly column for her local paper (The Greenup Beacon), blogs on her site Shock Therapy and relaxes with her husband (“Ox”), three grown boys, two grandsons and pets (Prince, Mercury and Perseus).
 
Most recently, Josi has bonded forces with Dixie Vogel of A Fool's Journey to produce a monthly show they call Woo Woo Wonderful. The purpose of the live broadcast is to empower others with knowledge of Spirit and Mysticism.

Morning Star: Daily Astrology for December 26, 2014

This morning, we wake up to the Moon in Pisces creating a nice sextile with our Sun in Capricorn at 6:47 AM. It's a smooth but sleepy day that also holds potential for emotionality and maybe a little grumpiness. The reason grumpiness stands out to me is due to the conjunction with Moon to Neptune at 7:51 AM. The potential for this rises if you have to be up and functional this morning and can't laze around. In other words, we may need a nap but can't get one and that equates to a big lump of GRUMP under a Pisces Moon. Some may have to go back to work today. With the Sun sextile the Moon, we are down with that except we may not be firing on all cylinders because we are overcoming illness or just freaking worn out from the holidays. Those scenarios can also equate to an influx of grump.


However, if you don't have to go back to work or if you can spend the day in your pajamas watching movies or napping, then Moon/Neptune may be satisfied allowing you to have a pretty restful morning sans le grumpe. Music and art hold a particular appeal today. There is potential for soft gentle quiet. It would be a perfect day for snow and soup, if you can stay in. This Moon/Neptune person loves to watch a quiet snowy day from inside where it is warm with a bowl of soup.


By 8:47 PM, the Moon is in a hearty sextile with Pluto in Capricorn. Emotions deepen and there is a strong push to purge any lingering tears in an effort to overcome. We could discover that our grumpines from the day is rooted more deeply than we thought. We are groggy, but, there is more. Yes, today could be remorseful or, at the least, a little watery. Moon to Pluto helps us endure the heaviness of that potential.

The Moon meets Chiron by conjunction at 9:49 PM. That watery conjunction is met with more watery potential as the Capricorn Sun is softened by a sextile to Neptune in Pisces at 10:11 PM.

We may feel the need to open up and talk about how we feel as the Moon also meets Mercury by sextile overnight (2:05 AM). Choose someone you trust and respect if you need to pour your heart out. Talking under Mercury in Capricorn can be a serious affair. But, even our Capricorn energy is softened and more permeable to water today.


The key to the day is gentleness and a bit of well metered empathy for those around us. Leave the grumps alone. Chances are they are dealing with more than just a simple case of the blues and need space to process whatever it is. If you ARE the grump, be gentle with yourself and use the day to slowly pontificate the deeper reasons of why you are upset. Use the power of music to guide you in your explorations. And, if you cannot find the words to express yourself, then use a different medium for self expression such as painting, sculpting or whatever calls to you. Be easy with yourself and others. Don't be afraid to check out of the crowd for awhile and check in with yourself through some alone time. Prayer. Meditation. Naps. Day dreaming. Drifting. Floating. Leave room for that.
