Morning Star: Daily Astrology for August 5 2014

I'm looking at today's moon and I'm thinking there is a high probability around the possibility of tears and dropping veils (Neptune RX). This morning, we wake up to the Moon in Sagittarius (6:19 AM EDT). Her first aspect is a trine to Jupiter at 2:17 PM.

This isn't a depressive aspect. As a matter of fact, a Jupiter Moon in aspect to its ruler sounds pretty sweet. It can increase your optimism and pick you up. Jupiter does expand, though. So, if you find yourself in a depressive state currently, this aspect can blow it up and make it worse just as easily as it can make feeling good feel better.

At 6:19 PM, Moon finds Neptune via square. There are your tears whether they be tears of joy, laughter or sorrow. We are acutely emotionally sensitive right now.

Saturn in Scorpio also perfects in trine to Chiron in Pisces today. If you do find that you are tearful, purge every bit of that out (Scorpio) that you can in an effort to make room for healing (Chiron). Rest.

Tomorrow we are looking at a Fire Trine. Busy. Lots of potential activity. Yet, our drive is continually getting blurred as Mars moves toward his trine with Neptune (August 7).

Venus has about a week before she finishes up her stay in Cancer and joins our Leo party. Our kaleidoscope sky continues to morph and change. As our sky morphs and changes, so do we. As above, so below.

Change can breed uncertainty and fear. But, it can also breed opportunity. The same energy that can make you shake in your boots can also inspire and motivate you. It's the SAME energy directed differently and with some added direction and grounding. It is the need for grieving the loss of the old that prevents us from embracing and discovering the opportunities embedded in change.

Allow yourself space to grieve if you need to. You are worthy of your own care and attention. It is scary to admit vulnerability. But, I'm here to tell you, you aren't alone if you feel vulnerable. This is kind of a wide spread Universal thing right now. Fact is, none of us are made of stone and neither are we meant to act as if we were. We are not robots. We are not machines. And, even if we were, we would need routine maintenance...like addressing water leaks...to help us to function properly.

I keep thinking about how this manifests (Moon/Neptune) for me and how I deal with it. I have a Pisces Moon sextile Jupiter and square Neptune in Sagittarius. So, its a lot of the same Moon energy we have today but Moon/Neptune are reversed. Early Sagittarius Moon's bring this watery moon energy out for me every month. When I worked in the corporate sector, I could pretty much put money on the fact that on an early Sag Moon day, I'd be crying at some point at my desk right out in public (Neptune is also conjunct my MC).

One of my favorite things to do during these times is to drive to the lake. There is something about water and being around it that settles the emotional body. Drink it. Touch it. Listen to water's melody.

Nature is grounding. And, sitting under an expansive sky helps a person to gain perspective. Music, is also a non-option during these days as your mood can absolutely be swayed by what you are listening to.

Intuition and dreams are also kicking during these highly sensitive times. Bear in mind that intuition often manifests itself through the emotional body. You may feel anxious, nervous, mad, sad or any myriad of emotions and not know why. Again, grounding and perspective can bring that down to Earth

And, finally, when in doubt, Moon square Neptune is perfect for floating...drifting...daydreaming...and definitely NOT least of all...naps.
