Morning Star: Daily Astrology for the week of July 12 to July 16, 2021

Monday, July 12

The Moon in Leo finds Venus (7:14 AM EDT) and then Mars (8:29 AM EDT) by conjunction this morning before falling Void. She rests in Void status until entering Virgo early in the morning (4:30 AM EDT) on the 13th. Meanwhile, Virgo's ruler finds Jupiter Rx in Pisces by trine at midday (3:45 PM).

Although first impressions would have Mercury trine Jupiter creating a loud and chatty day, with the Moon VOC while Mercury and Jupiter occupy water signs, I'd expect the influence to be much more subtle. This is quite the peaceful and low key set up that is best for listening over talking and surrounding yourself with pleasant sounds especially by way of music or even silence. The ambience of natural sounds fits well today as does meditation and prayer. The VOC Moon allows emotions to lay low and typically allows for the day to click by dispassionately. Thoughts may swirl. But, many are not prone to discuss them as of yet.

Tuesday, July 13

The Moon in Virgo wakes up early this morning. It's a good thing too, because Jupiter Rx in Pisces lights up all the chaos in need of her ability to create order as she passes by opposition at 7:00 AM. This opposition is a call to balance between rest and duty as well as imagination/creativity and production. Here, the nurse meets the patient. The fixer meets with that which needs answers and reality meets with that which is yet to be created.

As the day moves forward, the Moon dances (and likely sweeps and dusts) with her ruler Mercury in Cancer by sextile 9:05 AM. Whether we are dealing with messes in the emotional body or cobwebs in the corners, we are inclined to attempt to clean them up. The key is to keep it simple and aim for what feels better instead of perfection or worry. This aspect is also wonderful to use toward putting how you feel into words or creative venue.

The potential for creativity as well as "show and tell' events increases as Venus meets Mars by conjunction at 9:33 AM. This is a set up for a demure day in which we can share with one another from authentic creative or romantic space. The pit fall would be becoming short sighted and overly focused on ego centered concerns. Venus and Mars meet in Leo as both edge toward the 3rd Decan. The remainder of the day passes without any other major lunar aspects.

The Chandra symbol for the Venus/Mars conjunction as given by Elias Lonsdale for this conjunction reads as follows:

LEO 20

A black pearl hidden in an oyster.

Working very hard to find again what is lost, to get at what is conspicuously missing, it takes tremendous inner forces to restore the pearl. But most of all, you must vanquish your pride and acknowledge from the core of your being that going through this world without your deep soul intact is hell. If you seek, you shall find. If you ache, you shall come to a restored wholeness. But not without the suffering, the grief, and the facing of the void; initiation in the depths. It is a superb path if you have the courage and stamina for it. But midstream it is cauterizing, corrosive, and deadly; appearances are deceptive; nothing is as it might seem for a while. What matters supremely is guts and integrity.

Wednesday, July 14

The morning begins with the Moon in Virgo in a nice trine with Uranus in Taurus. This brings practical solutions to long standing problems and bestows us with the brilliance of common sense. The boost of the trine to Uranus helps bolster us through this day. Then, as the Luna rises on the East Coast she is gently lit by a sextile to the Sun in Cancer (9:47 PM). She will oppose Neptune Rx in Pisces overnight providing the potential for a bit of rain accompanied with restful sleep and vivid dreams. A trine to Pluto brings about her VOC status in the wee hours of our Thursday (2:45 AM). The night holds potential for deep restoration and rejuvenation on personal levels.

Thursday, July 15

The Moon in Virgo is Void as we wake this morning and with the Sun in Cancer moving in to trine Neptune early (4:49 AM) things don't look overly ambitious. We are dreamy and perhaps wish to linger in sleep.

The Moon awakens (no more ambitious than she fell asleep) in Libra around 10:30 AM. She can feel achy and lonely as Chiron in Aries stations retrograde at 11:30 AM. Chiron challenges our ability to navigate issues with anger, self-assertion, initiative and independence. As he stations, these issues are likely to flare on personal levels. With the Moon in Libra, this is not the time to be viciously assertive or violent but rather to attempt to find grace and employ diplomacy. We may feel or discover there are things we cannot do alone. But, here, we learn that we don't have to and that working together makes us no less integral individuals.

Emotional conflicts could occur in regard to our relationships and our family as the Libra Moon squares Mercury in Cancer at 10:10 PM. This can also bring about dealings with passive aggressiveness, avoidance or giving rise to not wanting to discuss how you feel because it is not socially appropriate or palatable. Navigate this by being fair and choosing your words carefully. Also be as discerning with your thoughts balancing out the positive and negative potentials while not playing favorites. Avoid saying “yes” when your heart or gut are screaming “no.” Keep the peace but stay true, authentic and fair.

Friday, July 16

Our Libra Moon is gifted with boundary, maturity, vision and a sense of social accountability by way of a trine to Saturn Rx in Aquarius at 6:33 AM. She is gut checked, though, by an opposition of Chiron in Aries newly Rx at 9:13 AM. This can raise issues of self-doubt or we could trip over triggers, Oppositions call for balance. This one calls for us to be diplomatic and accommodating toward ourselves so that we do not snap off the heads of others unjustly. Dealings with anger, self-assertion and inertia may again to come to the fore.

The rest of the day passes unencumbered of major aspect. Then, the weekend begins with a nice lunar sextile to both Mars and Venus in Leo helping us to realize personal, unique and creative solutions to what may have been brought to our attention within our Friday.

Our First Quarter Moon brings challenge to our intentions on Saturday morning (6:11 AM). This pulls in Pluto in Capricorn forming a cardinal t-square that finds outlet in Aries. As demons and shadow rise around us, the answer is most likely found in acceptance and awareness of the fact that it isn't them...it's you. There isn't anyone out there going to come and fix what is wrong for you. If you find yourself saying “Someone needs to DO something!” That's your cue to get started doing it. The rescuer you are looking for is you.
