Morning Star: Daily Astrology for the week of June 28 to July 2, 2021

Monday, June 28

The Moon in Aquarius is Void all morning. She slips into the ethereal and dreamy waters of Pisces at nearly 2 PM making our Monday feel like almost like the "Day that wasn't". Both rulers of Pisces (Jupiter and Neptune) are now retrograde. Mercury continues through his post-Rx shadow. Venus in Leo finds Jupiter in Pisces by inconjunct around 5:30 PM. The Moon finds Jupiter, also, by conjunction just a wee bit later. This is a watery and gentling kind of mixture that doesn't birth the kind of ambition that work week Mondays typically demand. It is creative and compassionate with a high chance of fatigue and emotionality. We are encouraged to be gentle with ourselves and others as many will be tasked with exploring emotions overlooked in the busy of life or previously denied/escaped.

With Neptune retrograde, not much will likely be hidden. But, the Moon makes no further major aspects in this day leaving room for examination of treasures left on the beach and allowing for floating through the deeper waters of emotion and intuition.

Tuesday, June 29

Clarity could begin to dawn as the Moon moves into sextile with Uranus in Taurus 2:48 PM. This presents us with the fact that the simple answer is usually the best. Then, at 11 PM, the Moon makes an uncomfortable square with Mercury in Gemini. This can create friction between what we know and how we feel or cause the same between conversations with family or friends. There may be some difficult conversations to be had here which makes the Moon's conjunction with newly retrograde Neptune in the morning (8:25 AM) quite likely to be emotionally themed. There is also potential to oversleep here if you work a typical 9-5 on the East Coast. So, if that is your situation, maybe take a few extra minutes before retiring tonight to ensure you set your alarm and get what you may need together ahead of time.

The Pisces Moon in square to Mercury and then conjunct Neptune can also be indicative of weathery conditions such as rain or wind. In many areas across the US, rain is severely needed. So, while we can hope for that potential, be aware that with Mercury in an Air sign there is also the potential for windy or fickle happenings overall.

Wednesday, June 30

After the Moon's early conjunction to Neptune this morning (8:25 AM), she moves on to make a grounding and regenerative sextile to Pluto Rx in Capricorn just before lunch time. From here, she rests in Void status until entering Aries at 9:22 PM. Our last day of June passes by just as lethargically as the week began. But, usually the transition from Pisces and into Aries is a swift wake up call. That could make it difficult to sleep tonight but if we take advantage of the down time during this 3 day passage of the Moon through Pisces, we can be ready to get at it on our first day of July if necessary.

Thursday, July 1

Our first day of July bursts energetically into our sphere with a nice trine to Venus in Leo at 7:23 AM. However, if we have been overly selfish, immature or unaccountable for our own actions, the calling onto the carpet to answer for ourselves could occur as Mars in Leo find Saturn Rx by opposition around 9. Typically, Saturn Rx calls us to self-accountability but from Aquarius, this could also be a calling for social justice that takes a personal tone. The key in that is to balance our own initiatives with a need for community in a way that considers the welfare of the many over and above just a few. It also calls us to be personally responsible for falling within the guidelines of laws and social structures unless we are willing to take the consequences otherwise.

At 5:11 PM, our last Quarter Moon perfects from the sign of Aries with a square to the Sun in Cancer. This pits feelings of anger or ambition against a desire to maintain an healthy atmosphere of safety and nurturing for our families and those we love. Last Quarter Moons are a time of final shedding and relinquishment in preparation for the fresh beginnings birthed by the incoming New Moon. Here we may be looking at ways we can individually reform how we deal with matters of anger and aggression for the sake and welfare of those we care for. Or, we may also be able to assess how these emotions are impacting our overall health. Aries Moon needs to be active but Cancer Sun can have a tendency to hole up in its shell. Therefore, this Last Quarter Moon could call us to emerge in effort to take care of some uncomfortable situations when we would rather be hiding under the covers.

As Mars hangs in opposition with Saturn for the most of the day, a sense of duty and responsibility are likely to over rule any need to keep our heads stuck in the sand.

Before the night is over, the Moon will make amicable aspect to both Saturn Rx in Aquarius and Mars in Leo. This makes taking care of the uncomfortable business worth while and makes for an ability to rest once our chores or tasks are complete. By 10 Pm, the Moon is conjunct Chiron in Aries. This gives us full frontal view of our shortcomings or can also show us where we have built effective coping mechanisms for feelings of inadequacy or around our ability to deal with our own inertia or anger.

Friday, July 2

Early Friday morning (4:40 AM) gives us a fiery trine between Mars in Leo and Chiron in Aries. This is gently moving forward while employing our individual sense of style and flair. It can also show us that healing can occur.

By Noon, our Aries Moon is comforted and supported by friends and siblings by way of a sextile to Mercury in Gemini. This is a time to talk honestly and openly about how we feel. It also allows us to get honest feedback and perhaps begin to plunk together missing puzzle pieces left over from Mercury's recent retrograde cycle. Finally, weather could again be a factor but there is less chance of things being wet and better chance for things to be quite hot and dry. Definitely remember to stay hydrated.

Just after midnight tonight, the Aries Moon will square off with Pluto in Capricorn. This is an aspect that can cause shadow emotions to emerge, a desire to control or even create an atmosphere of greed or abuse. However, it can also fill us in (though rather forcefully) on ways in which trauma, conditioning or mental health issues have played a role in our own poor behavior choices while also offering us a chance at personal reform that leads to more effective end.
