Sabian for 9 Leo: Glass blowers.
So much Leo. An excellent energy to
remind of us of last year when the eclipses and the North Node were
in this sign. This year, we are traveling with the North Node in
Cancer and the eclipses have just ended...for now. They return in
December.
Soon after this New Moon emerges,
Mercury turns direct in the sign of Cancer. Our mental review is
ending. We've swam personal emotional territory and likely had a
chance to revisit the land of memory. Expect, though, that things
will be a bit wonky in the Mercury department as he stations to turn
direct.
As a matter of fact, we have a few
planets changing direction in August. Jupiter and Uranus both are
currently sitting near their station degree. Jupiter will turn direct
on August 11 at 9:27 AM at 14 Sagittarius 30. Uranus will station
retrograde on the same day at 7:23 PM EDT at 6 Taurus 37. Jupiter in
station has a tendency to raise the volume. Whereas an Uranus
station can feel a lot like a Mercury retrograde which will be
interesting as this is also the same day Mercury (now direct)
re-enters Leo. He is nearly out of his retrograde shadow. And, unlike
his passage initially through shadow, he will now find Uranus by
square on August 16, the day after our Full Moon in Aquarius.
What's interesting about the lunations
while the Sun is in Leo, is that Venus is present at both. Here she
is within 4 degrees of a conjunction to the New Moon. That lunation
occurring at 8 Leo 37 with Venus occupying 4 Leo 59. All three of
these bodies are within orb of a square to Uranus (the Sun/Moon
square to Uranus wanes while Venus' square waxes). Venus will
officially find Uranus by square on 8/2 at 6 AM. She finds Jupiter by
trine on 8/8 at 4:28 PM. Both these aspects are likely fairly
“potent” as Jupiter and Uranus are each vibrating in their
stations.
For the square from Venus to Uranus
what we are going to uncover are things we feel are no longer
tolerable and in need of change. Now this can be like finding a pea
under a mattress. Or, tripping over matters in our personal lives
that are likely have their own kind of history that in many ways
we've outgrown. It could be that we have historically been tolerant
of something and find that dealing with it just keeps getting more
cumbersome until we finally decide to cast it off. Maybe we finally
get sick of dealing with that little glitch in our vehicle that makes
things just the right amount of annoying that we decide to sell the
thing and buy a new one. Maybe we have been putting up with something
in a relationship that has just drained us dry of any comfort or
satisfaction. So, we cast that off too. The thing of it being, there
isn't anything about that square that is going to be comfortable and
it will be at our choice to cast out the cumbersome, reform things so
that they are a better fit for us or simply cast it aside in favor of
our freedom from it.
Right before the Full Moon in
Aquarius...following Venus' square to Uranus and trine to Jupiter,
she makes a conjunction with the Sun at 21 Leo 11 lighting up the
Sabian: A carrier pigeon.
The symbol for the
carrier pigeon is about homing instincts, communication and the long
journey home which is interesting to note because the symbol that
represents home (the Moon) will be all the way over in Aquarius
perhaps creating a feeling of being a stranger in a strange land or
even have us feeling isolated. Whereas the symbol for this New Moon
Glass blowers represents our breath and the human ability to
“Breathe life” into a creative a project. Taking what is inside
us and directing it purposely toward the creation of something new in
a creative, playful and perhaps even romantic way.
Taken on the
whole, it would seem that August is a lot about change and it's
unfurling. The best approach is to take it one step at a time and to
be centered within ourselves by way of our breathing and what we are
able to take from our past experience in an effort to create. Some of
it may feel risky or as if we are gambling with our hearts to a
certain degree. That's Leo too. Taking the risk to obtain reward. A
reward that is wholly possible as Venus trines Jupiter as he stations
direct...a transit that puts luck on our sides.
Yet by the time we
reach the Full Moon, we may have a newly created treasure by our
sides as depicted by the Sun/Venus conjunction. But, many will likely
feel quite far from “home” or far from a feeling of a safety,
comfort and security. And, we long to return to that. Sad thing
being, there is much about the world now that is unrecognizable in
comparison to what we “remember” home to be. We cannot go back to
that place and time. And, furthermore, safety and security in truth
were not contained within it. These are things we can recreate the
“feel” of by employing new methods, detaching from the false
security and slayings of nostalgia while facing and accepting the
“need for change.”
You see, the New
Moon in Leo is about you. All these planets (Sun, Mars, Venus, Moon)
make this lunation highly personal. But, by the time we get to the
Full Moon in Aquarius, we realize we are integral to the whole. But,
life as a whole, is not all about us. We are whole and unique diverse
individuals, ok? But, we live in a “collective.” Meaning, no
person is an island. No one gets their way 100% of the time. And,
you, even though an integral part of the collective, ARE NOT the
center of the entire Universe. The world does not revolve around one
person but we are at risk of taking things too personally and
allowing our ego needs to runs the show as we muddle our way through
Leo season with a packed stellium in the sign. It's hard to see
beyond matters of “self” in those times. And, the thing is,
“self” has been something highly accentuated lately as Mercury
ran retrograde through Leo and Cancer in his attempt to help us
rewire things like how we express ourselves, how the interpretation
of our earliest experiences and memories bore impact upon how we
express ourselves and how we gestate/incorporate and interpret
emotional/intuitive/instinctual information....all while Saturn (our
experience, our history, our foundations/structures) dissolves into
the SN calling us away from more punitive, restrictive and hard lined
disciplinary actions and more toward the NN...acting in compassion,
nurturing, creating, supporting, care and feeding way. Meaning, we
are being led from a punitive and disciplinary approach toward a more
heart centered, accepting and nurturing one. In that, the ways in
which we may have learned in the past to address things (Saturn) may
now meet with what is deemed as “Failure” or “ineffectiveness.”
Some may feel this in their core as becoming ineffective (Chiron in
Aries) or may begin to feel as if their efforts are not being
heard/validated due a feeling of a sense of duty to continue to
perpetrate the “customary, disciplinary, punitive, restrictive”
to which we are used to. But, what is so often missed is the ongoing
influence of Neptune by way of his sextile to Saturn and trine to the
NN he gives us opportunity to creatively reshape things in a more
compassionate way. But, that cannot come without surrender to the
“dissolution” of the old (Saturn) along with acceptance (Neptune)
of the fact that the old ways of doing things (Saturn) simply are no
longer effective (Chiron in Aries).
This is an
opportunity to jump the track especially if you feel locked into a
certain set of habits and routines that are causing misery.
So, essentially,
at this New Moon we are given the opportunity to rebirth ourselves in
light of what we have learned thus far. Problem being, what is going
to be illustrated to us through the next two weeks is how our
personal “fixed” behaviors may run amok within the collective or
may actually be setting us up for failure (Chiron). Our “auto”
responses particularly those that are linked into personal past
experience (likely even built by the same) and those that are linked
into issues of anger (resentment, depression, spite), feeling a need
to compete, needing to seen/validated and issues that impact our
feelings of vitality and individuality are in need of reform
because....again...they are bearing impact upon the collective, upon
ourselves in negative way and because these were built in our
personal history and “historical” ways are failing. What happens
is perspective gradually shifts (timely enough with Jupiter's station
in August) away from being “all about you and your needs” and
toward “the needs of the many” and what creative gifts we each
have that can help contribute to a more healthy universal existence.
Then, when Uranus shifts to Rx, we have a chance to go back and
assess what changes we plan to consciously make in effort to build a
stronger sense of personal security and we increase our personal
wisdom about how our initial values and the way we value ourselves
may have contributed to our very base operations and how we are
rooted in certain behaviors. This increases personal wisdom and very
often catalyzes us out of our comfort zones in effort to start
incorporating this wisdom in an effort to build new standards of
behavior for ourselves. Now. The changes that we perceive with that
are not easy to undertake. They are deeply rooted and it's a slow
walk with Taurus in laying new neural pathways and creating new
personal patterns. We may stumble in those change efforts and lose
our patience in the implementation. But, the key is tenacity. The
stubbornness of Taurus turns to deliberate willfulness because the
changes we perceive as necessary have the promise of being richly
rewarding to ourselves and also beneficial to the collective that we
reside within. What we discover in the Rx is the incentive toward
change. And, that change will likely be found in the fact that the
“current” situation catalyzing the need the for change is no
longer tolerable, cumbersome, heavy, makes us feel stuck and we are
ready to cast those peas out from under our mattresses so that we may
find comfort once again.
So, in essence,
much of this is about you. What you want. What you value. What you
deem as important and how you go about creating a life that allows
you to express yourself in authentic ways. However, what we will
perceive as time moves forward is how all that “about you” then
extends outwardly an impacts the collective. We will be given a
chance to assess whether or not we like that or are comfortable with
the results we are generating “out there” or if we may need to
alter/change things up. BUT WATCH FOR THE AUTO-RESPONSES and know
that is the most relevant part of the next two weeks. Don't allow the
knee jerk reaction but do assess what your initial inkling toward
response is and decide if you want to keep doing that by assessing 1)
is it effective 2) is it a true illustration of who I am or am I
merely reacting due my past experiences 3) am I honoring/respecting
myself with this action 4) what is my motivation and does that align
with my goals?
And that is the
general gist of the sky right now. We are being called to
self-reflection so we can discern what changes we need to make on a
personal level in effort to re-birth ourselves as a deliberate and
true self-expression instead of ankle chained to what we were
conditioned to be or how we expressed ourselves in a world that no
longer exists or is changing itself.
With that, in our
intention setting, we are being guided by the Tarot Card Justice. Ah.
So, the sky has geared toward matters of emotion and core essence and
is pulling how we individually express ourselves to the fore by
placing a lot of emphasis (stellium in Leo) on “self.” And, at
the same time, we are collectively healing our abilities to be
assertive, effective and feel perceived as integral and effective
solitary individuals. But, Tarot says, to balance that by delivering
Justice to us. In that, we are likely shown the logical results of
our past actions. We get what we get in the results depart whether we
like it or feel good about it or not. It is what it is. But. At the
same time, we are also given the opportunity to perceive how our
“auto” responses may set us up for personal failure while also
being given a clear viewing of how those actions bear impact upon the
collective and to assess whether or not that even makes sense.
On top of that,
Justice calls for us to pay attention to the heavy. Justice often
reminds me of the “heart weighing” against a feather. If we are
over-burdened in any given area of life, then we will be called to
balance the scales in some way. Think of something you
dread...something that has grown cumbersome and feels as if it sucks
the life out of you. How can you tip the scales to lighten your load
and free your heart of the heavy weight? How can you rise above your
emotionally driven and core constructed actions to see the logical
answer?
Justice
is also often a leavening. Or leveling the playing field. It takes
everyone from their caste or class and puts them on equal ground.
Everyone is the same regardless of their social status, prestige,
bank account or ability to put an emotionally themed “spin” on
their case. The facts are the facts and you either acted justly or
broke the law. And, Justice puts NO ONE above the law. However, it's
important to remember these are Universal laws not necessarily the
one's written and enforced by mankind. These are the laws of cause
and effect, karma and the echoes of the intentions behind the energy
we exert coming back to us.
Now,
just the words “karmic justice” can send shivers down an
accountable person's spine. But, chances are if that strikes fear in
your heart you are doing better than most because those that are
accountable care about the consequences of their actions whereas
those who are unaccountable for themselves can never even perceive
that they are doing things to screw stuff up. Those are the ones that
will be wailing at the sky and placing blame on everyone around them
for the doling out of Justice as it finds them. It will be
entertaining to watch because as Jupiter turns direct the ones who
have seemingly been “winning” and “on top” may experience a
reversal of fortune. So, if you've spent the last few months
fatiguing yourself with the rhetoric of a pompous egotistical
braggart? Pull up a chair and shut your mouth and watch as their luck
begins to fail at Jupiter's station. Well rounded advice would have
you minding your own path and your own business but sometimes? It's
nice to also watch a pompous loud mouth idiot who is pushing for
their own personal gain only..fall on their face. Because...you know,
I'm human like that and so are you. So, yeah...eyes in your own lane
but keep a check on the periphery for entertainment purposes. Also,
ensure you are maintaining your ability to laugh at yourself because
as Jupiter stations with a bunch of stuff in Leo we could be prone to
take ourselves a bit too seriously. Remember, you can laugh.
Justice
is also about truth and many are adamant that the truth is what they
want. But, in the words of the infamous character Jack Nicholson
portrayed in a “Few Good Men”...”You can't handle the truth.”
Sometimes the truth of a situation will flat out piss you off before
you are able to accept it and then move forward in light of it. And,
there are also times in which the truth is withheld from the public
at large because it is strongly believed by those in power the masses
“cannot handle the truth” or will “revolt or be unsettled” in
light of it. So, not even in for a millisecond must anyone believe
they have all the information and know all the truth because it is
often obscured, splintered, made publicly palatable or even hidden.
That fact is going to rise in relevance as Jupiter turns direct and
heads toward another square with Neptune. Also remember that what is
crowned as “truth” has a tendency to change as we experience
personal growth, glean wisdom and/or our perspective changes. We may
be called toward personal perspective changes as Jupiter turns around
and we will also be called to employ what it is we have learned thus
far by putting it into action and using it to help direct us on our
journey forward.
So.
To follow the advice of Justice, we are seeking out the areas of our
lives that need a better balance along with making decisions based in
logic and reason without allowing our emotions to be manipulated
toward a certain end. We are also balancing matters of self against
matters of the collective or the “other” and attempting to create
a system that is supportive of all in a just manner and without
regard to whatever labels, castes or classes in which folks are
socially assigned. We are looking to find the heavy and looking
toward ways we can bring leavening or lightening to those areas so
that when weighed against a feather our hearts can be just as light.
It's time to breathe life and vitality back into ourselves and our
lives. Go forward seeking balance and a greater sense of personal
freedom/lightness.
