Sabian symbol for the New Moon at 16 Libra : After a storm a boat landing
stands in need of reconstruction.
Sabian symbol for the ruler of this lunation, Venus Rx in Scorpio, 10 Scorpio: A fellowship supper
reunites old comrades.
Libra. Refined. Graceful. Gentle close
lipped dimpled smile. Intelligent. Relationship oriented. Negotiator.
Mediator. Judge. Dancer. Makeup artist. Home decorator. People
pleaser. An ability to create facade. Anti-thesis. A double edged
sword. Etiquette. Manners. An ability to lead without shouting
orders. Passive. Peaceful. Indirectly assertive. Socially adept.
Fair. Equal. Takes on a detached and not immersed emotional stance.
Logic. Exchange. Equality. Appearances. Sweet and polite...until she
is not.
The ruler of tonight's New Moon is
retrograde in Scorpio. What that movement is doing is exorcising
toxins and bringing them into our awareness to let us know, this is
making you sick. This is not fair to you or someone else. This is not
a logical expenditure of your time, energy. This is where you are
giving away too much and receiving back very little if anything. This
is robbing you of pleasure, peace and comfort.
Venus in Scorpio in retrograde is the
exorcist. Folks with this natal position can have a tendency to draw
the worst out of folks and...they don't even have to try. How things
go from there is totally up to how the native perceives it and what
they decide to do in response. It varies. I've seen natives who
literally exorcise demons in the literal sense. Their presence
provokes a purge of toxin. What was exorcised, just like a demon, has been robbing its host of resource and quality of life. It was making the heart sick and unhealthy. It needed to be exhumed and purged.
Under this sky, what's being exorcised
are the things that are poisoning us to a degree that we are losing
sight of what power we have in our lives. We are losing grasp of what
is valuable.Held captive in a dystopian society. Venus will show us
that there are better choices and why changing the set up is just a
good idea in terms of our quality of life. She is also going to rip
away at things we cling to in an unhealthy manner. Show us where we
are resentful, neglectful, greedy, envious, projecting and making
excuses. She will show us our addictions. Where we need to be more
authentic. She will point out the ways in which we are disrespecting
ourselves and sacrificing our self worth. Where we need to realize we
have choice and power while showing us how our choices and power are
currently being manipulated for someone else's gain. How we are being
exploited and taken advantage of. She will reveal to us the
relationships that are sucking the joy and serenity out of us. We
will see who is using us and who truly values us. While also showing
us which relationships are feeding us nicely and need to be
appreciated and strengthened in return.
In the next two weeks, many folks will
be prone to pull out their scales and start weighing matters of worth
against matters of effort and payback. We will find those scales to
be off kilter. And, hopefully, take action to commandeer a more well
balanced set up in whatever area of life we are weighing for worth.
Yes. This is going to involve our love
relationships, friendships and connections with the “other.” But,
that is not the only place in which the dynamic of relationship
exists. Whenever your energy is interacting with something else, you
are having a relationship with it. Relationship covers your
interaction with everything including your relationship with your
self. Your relationship with “concepts” such as money, work,
media...everything that we come in contact with. And, we come into
contact with a lot during the course of just a day.
For example, you are driving to work
and need gas for your car. So, you stop at a convenience store. The
minute you walk in the door and to the counter to greet the cashier,
you've begun a temporary relationship. You are in relationship with
whomever is in the store. In their vicinity, their actions can affect
you and vice versa. That's what relationship means. And, any
well-weathered Libra will tell you that all boils down to your
relationship with yourself. A healthy interaction is dependent upon
the presence of healthy values and strong sense of self-worth from
anyone entering one. Can be just one leg of that union for the
relationship to thrive. It needs to be both or the dynamic becomes
dependent and unhealthy. Not worth the resource we invest.
The Sun is not well placed in Libra.
These folks can spend a lot of time creating their identity based on
what others expect or what they think others will find pleasing
whether they consciously realize that or not. It takes Libra a while
to find, accept and appreciate who it is they really are. It takes
them a little longer to realize they may have to displease others
sometimes to maintain their sense of self. And, for Libra, that's a
big deal. Solid and healthy personal boundaries in our relationships
helps us to maintain our individuality instead of becoming lost in
it. Saturn rules boundaries and it loves the sign of Libra. Little
softness for his grouchy ass and some strong backbone for Libra.
Saturn helps Libra say no. She needs that.
However, Libra matures toward the
conclusion that it is not fair to suffer in discomfort and hide who
they are just to gain the approval or acceptance of someone else who
has no problem being exactly who they are. Libra finds their balance
once they find themselves. If it is not fair, Libra is not having
any of it.
As for any Libra who has a Solar Return
this year? You will find that releasing negative attachment and
learning to appreciate and respect yourself as thematic all year.
This is your job. Fix your heart. Balance your relationships. Assess
the equity of give and take. Find and maintain your sense of self
respectfully instead of being who you think someone expects you to
be. Your Uranus to Sun opposition was sent to help you prepare for
this. Cutting you loose. Setting you free. Forcing you to be more
independent. Embrace that. Your relationships will improve after the
unhealthy crust falls away and heals. Let it go. Romance yourself
this year. Look to where you have true connection. Shower and
fertilize what you want to grow in your life. Let the rest go.
The good thing about Libra season is
that it is a bit emotionally detached. Decisions take time because
she weighs all points of view and options. With Libra, everyone is on
level ground. In her courtroom, it doesn't matter if you are rich,
poor, male, female, from Iowa or the Moon...either you committed a
crime or you didn't. The facts will show us the truth not your
emotional plea. Libra doesn't want to see that mess and gives it no
favor in her search for true justice. Once she has assessed all the
facts and evidence, Libra will deliver her ruling and dole out
consequences. You get what you get whether you are heaving in sobs or
not. You were right or wrong. You did this or that and here is the
proof. Here are the results of that. Not my fault if you don't like
them. You did it. Not me. Can't figure out how to share custody? Ok,
we'll just cut the baby in half then. That's fair. Right? K, if you
don't want me to get the sword it might be a good idea to figure it
out then. That, my friends, is Libra. Fairs fair. Goose/gander and
all that.
In the business and financial realm,
Libra season is typically expressed by way of impartial balancing,
too. October is the month to gather your business data and financial
information for the year. You look at what the company invested in.
What profit was gleaned. What marketing strategies worked and
diagnose any issues with your clients. Adjustments are made where
necessary in order to know how to direct the investments of resource
for the following year. When Libra balances the books and finds out
that the business took a loss because the marketing revenue
investment did not deliver a return, it's not going to matter if she
likes the lady she works through at that marketing firm. Its just
business. She'll invest elsewhere. Maybe meeting up with the lady
from the firm for lunch every now and then.
At this New Moon, with the emotionally
detached and non-biased view of Libra during a Venus in Scorpio
retrograde, we are called toward balancing the books off our own lives.
Venus reviews what she invested through time, energy, money, love and resource
in her history. She pulls out her scales and weighs that against what
she received in return. And then, she adjusts accordingly.
Mars in Aquarius echoes the detachment
and analytical theme. Aquarius, the scientist, is driven to know,
discover, invent, pioneer. In order to do that, he conducts
experiments in his lab analyzing results. This has nothing to do with
emotions either. This is brain work.. This happened or that happened.
These pieces fit together or they don't. This ability to detach in
regard to Mars means the sky is delivering us the ability to step
aside instead of being sucked into manipulative or dramatic efforts.
We can rise above more base expressions of Mars and pioneer new
advancements. Aquarius, like Libra, doesn't care for the emotional
displays and definitely is not going to allow their own emotions to
have control. He's part robot part alien anyway. Sweat, anger,
getting swept up in emotions and being unwittingly controlled by
others is totally a human thing. He's not going to sweat in labor or
emotional turmoil. He will invent a more efficient and less messy
way. Plus, he's in new territory as of today. We can take what we've
learned in regard to matters of Mars as this retrograde ends and
apply that as we move forward. We can power toward our goals as we
now look to balance the books of Venus.
Our ruling sabians tell us that damage
has been done. But, the storm is gone. It's time to assess what needs
to be done. What is broken and in disrepair. Is it fixable? Or do we
need to begin again. Which is the most efficient investment of
resource? Venus says, look to who is standing next to you through
this. Does it make you feel better or worse to be around them? Are
you satisfied when you go to bed at night? Are you satisfied in your
life doing the things you do or not? If your answers are all positive
to those questions, keep up the good work. Use this energy to reward
yourself gently. Feed what brings you pleasure, satisfaction and
comfort. If you aren't comfortable...are not happy...do not think you
have any worth, are lonely or feel like everyone around you is just
out to make you miserable or for just what they can get from you then
this is New Moon and this Venus retrograde is your chance to change
that. If you need help, reach out for it. But, mostly, it's time to
stop relating to others and learn to relate and appreciate yourself
instead. Quit seeking in your dating app. Start seeking in yourself.
Stop trying to pleasing to others and try to operate in a way that is
pleasing to you. Stop reaching out for love and start choosing what
and whom is truly worthy, appreciative and reciprocal of what it is
you have to give. Your love, attention, time, efforts all that is equivalent to energetic currency. Assess your current investments of
it. In a non-emotional way, assess their return. Balance your books.
Once you start valuing yourself and allowing yourself to expend
energy only in things worthy of you, the energetic attraction
vibration that you send out magnetically begins to draw others who
value you and worth to your life. As long as you continue to devalue
and forsake yourself, that vibration will continue to attract in
folks who may be looking to only use you and manipulate your low self
worth. You don't have to let that dynamic continue. It can be
changed. But, only by you. Nobody you meet is going to be able to
restore that for you nor should they be expected to be anymore than
you should expect yourself to be anyone else's source of self-worth.
Our guide for this New Moon is the 6 of
Swords. In regard to intention setting this guide tells us that its
time to move on. We are transitioning to a new place leaving darker
days behind. Things may feel uncertain. Change is change and it's
hard to predict how that goes. Yet, we've learned from the place we
were and can apply those lessons as we move forward. We are allowed
to seek and expect better for ourselves. We are allowed to leave
sorrow behind. And, we are allowed to grieve loss even if what we are
grieving wasn't really healthy in the first place. We are also
allowed to decide when its time to say goodbye for our sake and the
sakes of those who are important to us or perhaps dependent on our
well being such as our children. When we choose to take care of our
own hearts, we model what's healthy for our children. When we model
healthy boundaries and fairness, they learn from that too. And, if we
continually let them see us sacrifice ourselves in order to gain
approval or when they see us allowing ourselves to be continually
manipulated and abused...they learn from that too. Main point being,
if its making you sick literally or metaphorically, it's time to move
on to better things. It's time to cut your losses and find something
more worthy. It's time to search your heart for what is most
important to you and to feather those connections as you leave the
rest behind. What are you leaving? What are you looking for? Tell it
to the boatman. Give him your dime. In exchange, he will take you
where you say you want to go. Make sure you give him clear
instruction. Which means, you kind of need to know exactly what it is
you are looking for. Figure it out. Take your time. And, then, go. Take your dear sweet time but don't procrastinate. Start now but remember Libra doesn't rush.
