What we say. What we think. What we
believe. These are very powerful things. Love is powerful. Anger is
powerful. But those three aforementioned things are the paths we take
to interpreting something as love or anger. If allowed, all three can
also become unconscious. Meaningless. Thoughtless thoughts. Wordless
words. Belief on autopilot with no desire to continue to grow and
learn. Stagnant. Yet, in their meaninglessness...they still hold
power. Particularly at this Moon.
You may, or may not know, but the signs
of both Scorpio and Cancer are some really fertile. Right now,
Jupiter in Scorpio catches the North Node in Cancer by trine while
each receive a jolting “spark” of life and initiative from Uranus
in Aries. Meanwhile, Mercury is in his retrograde shadow. What is
spoken or cast as word/thought/belief right now will be revisited in
our upcoming weeks as he stations retrograde. Still yet, the words
and intentions you sow now...whether on purpose or thoughtlessly will
take root.
Our guide for this lunation by way of
Tarot is the Ace of Pentacles. It reinforces the fertility of our
current time. Be clear. Be concise. Be specific. And, be sure. What
you plant will grow. May it be and so it is.
There are some big changes coming to
our energetic field that are captured in this chart. Jupiter will
enter Sagittarius during this Moon's cycle. Uranus has already
re-entered the sign of Aries (11/6). And, in this chart...both of
those bodies are in direct contact with our North Node who has just
entered the sign of Cancer. Jupiter finds the North node by trine and
South node by sextile. As Uranus unsettles them both by square. At
first glance, it looks like making a global screening of emptying the
contents of one's vacuum bag. For better or worse. Everything that
has been sucked up is now being dumped out and put on public display.
Those things we tried to rid ourselves of. Those things we tried to
sweep away and simply discard. Perhaps the coins we accidentally
swept up between the couch cushions are re-exposed allowing us
another chance to capture their value instead of merely throw them
away. Perhaps we dump out garbage and value that we didn't even know
we had.
However, with Uranus involved, it's
less likely this is a voluntary dumping. It's more like the bag blows
open unexpectedly. Recreating if not exacerbating the mess that it
originally contained.
We are also quite personally sensitized
at this Moon as both luminaries are trine Neptune. This is emotional
sensitivity as well as physical sensitivity with potential of very
permeable boundaries in the way of picking up on the emotions of the
collective or its germs/allergens. Which means...in the metaphor of
the vacuum bag, we are VERY sensitive in light of the dumping of the
contents and likely to react on a visceral level. Sneezing in
response to the dust for example. Add to that the water trine of
Jupiter and the North Node in Cancer and...well, you end up with a
lot of emotions...a tide that will continue to build all the way to
the Full Moon in Gemini. Perhaps beyond. Edit...likely beyond.
The thing about it is, we've
collectively spent much of the year frustrated in our efforts and
then stuck in dissatisfaction as both Mars and then Venus hit their
retrograde cycles. We've learned a lot about what doesn't work and
lot about what we don't want on an individual level. In that, though,
we have also found what little gems of appreciation we can muster and
found what ways are effective, as well. Now that Venus stations to
turn direct, we can begin to claim or reclaim what it is we truly and
deeply desire. Now that Uranus returns to Aries, we have a chance to
employ all that we learned while Mars retrograded in Aquarius. Aim
for what you want. Do what you know works. Experiment with new
methods. Learn from failure and missteps. Mourn what may be gone
forever. Bring it all home. If a mess is made, you don't have to like
it. Yet, it will still need to be cleaned up. Your part of it anyway.
The sextile from this Moon to Pluto will help you get elbow deep in
the nitty gritty of it. Those dark corners that fear keeps you from
cleaning routinely, won't be as fearsome now.
Mars and Venus will align in amicable
trine during this Moon cycle. They have been at odds off and on
during Venus' retrograde pattern. But, here they fall on the same
page both in Air signs. Due that, there may be a lot a talk about
what we want and what we should do but very little action. Those
words will be revisited as will our intentions as Venus turns direct
in the same time period that Mercury stations retrograde.
As we vow to reclaim our power and
march forward toward our desires, we will also be tasked with
reviewing our personal histories. We will look at these stories we've
crafted about our lives and tweak our perspective while lending new
wisdom to them. Then, as Mercury retrogrades back into Scorpio, we
will see how those stories may have bore effect in shadow and in our
thinking about power in general. We will be mentally thrust into the
depths of our own psyche and challenged to emerge more wise by the
end of it. But, there is some mental rewiring that is due to take
place following this internal rewiring of a year full of a wave of
backward patterning. As if we were hooked and drug back into our own
past and forced to look at it honestly and in depth on both
collective and personal levels. That was kind of the point of it all.
Yet, here, at this New Moon...something
valuable emerges. A chance to plant a seed in the richness of the
ashes. A chance to begin changing the paradigm and collective thought
patterns. But, that chance begins internally within each of us. It
has already began, actually. It's only the mind that is left to
change. The heart and methods we embark on to go after what it is we
desire has newly been turned inside out already. It has likely be
simplified but deepened in importance.
Jupiter in Sagittarius is so different
than Jupiter in Scorpio. There is a tremendous shift held in that
change of signs. Have faith in that fact. But, there are also
tremendous shifts as Uranus moves from Taurus and back into Aries.
Fire, again, rises in the collective. And we are more wise in the
ways it should be used toward our own benefit rather than our
continual self-destruction which is something that Jupiter in Scorpio
can become overly enchanted with. But, not Jupiter in Sagittarius. It
wants to grow, flourish and roam free and unencumbered in order to
savor the full palette of flavors the entirety of the world has to
offer. It loves good humor and good will. After traveling in Scorpio,
faith has been tested, horror glorified and shadow given front stage
and center.
In Sagittarius, Jupiter is finished
torturing himself. With Jupiter in Sagittarius we gain both hope and
wisdom. And with Uranus in Aries, we are not short on initiative.
There is unsettling energy present at
this Moon, though. Most certainly as Uranus continues to hold in
square to the nodes and Jupiter lights all that up by trine. But,
sometimes, the unsettling shakes things loose just enough that change
can be made toward a more positive direction. That's kind of how
Jupiter wants us to steer things but his message from the end of
Scorpio is quite heavy, watery and in trine to Chiron, still, even
hauntingly painful. That heaviness meets with abrupt disruption from
Uranus. Thing about it being, this is enforced change coming from
Uranus. It's not something we choose. But, if we have discovered
where our individual power is and have aligned our personal
priorities we surely can take advantage of the opportunity as it
presents. We realize that we may have no power in the enforced
change. But we have whole power in the ways in which we choose to
respond to it. And, choose wisely we should. Uranus in Aries and Mars
in Aquarius is upper level expert in terms of engagement. Don't allow
outside forces to dictate your next move. Breathe through any surges
in adrenaline and choose your next act deliberately and with
intention in response to anything that comes unbolted during this
Moon cycle.
We have to remember there is a lot of
water here. There is some confusion and Mercury is still in
retrograde shadow. Some things are not as they appear and will
clarify themselves as we move forward. But, if you know the truth in
your heart and can maintain control of your own actions without being
catalyzed toward an unconscious response by way of allowing yourself
to be provoked by someone else and what have you? You stand to
benefit greatly. Look for what emerges. Then decide if you want it to
grow. If so, feed it. If not, plant a different seed. You are allowed
to do that too. The ground is fertile and waiting.
