Don't get too hung up on how I titled
this Moon. I mean no Biblical implication. What I see coming as a
Revelation is more about each of us on an individual level than
anything else.
Let's have a look and see if I can
explain what I mean. First, leading into this final eclipse of the
season, we had both the Sun and Mercury square off with Jupiter. Each
aspect bringing forth more and more information into the collective,
yes. But, even on a deeper level than that, if you were using the
power of the retrogrades for introspective purposes, you likely
gained a little more insight into yourself. That's largely what
retrogrades say to me for the most part. It's a time of
self-reflection and introspection more than an outward venture. That
does not mean that progress cannot be made. I've witnessed that to be
untrue too many times first hand. However, it is a time in which we
can look at our own past and experiences and learn from them while
also gleaning maturity and wisdom that can be put to use as we
continue to move forward.
Our guide for this Partial Solar
Eclipse is the High Priestess. The most simple observation I've had
from dealing with this card is that there is always more going on
that meets the eye. The High Priestess is intuitive and unwritten
language more so than she is dusty books with directions in regard to
how to access and commune with divinity. She delivers an unspoken
type of knowing while also offering us a chance to peer behind the
veil in an effort to glean a deeper understanding of ourselves and
the world around us. That knowledge is not automatically given. You
kind of have to...do exactly what the retrograde planets call us to
do. Get quiet, introspect/reflect and get in really good tune with
yourself.
To emphasize this “behind the veil”
feel, we also have Jupiter waxing back into trine with Neptune while
the New Moon itself sits at the apex of a Yod between the
Pluto/Neptune sextile. Those three in any kind of mixture is some
mighty powerful mojo. Alright? And then we have the fact that Saturn
and Uranus are in trine, also. That too...powerful stuff.
So, what we are looking at here is over
a month of being pulled toward introspection amongst challenges on a
personal level and an uncertain atmosphere within the collective.
Many...and I do mean...MANY have spun out in frustration in response
to this Mars retrograde in play with Uranus. That is another factor
that has catalyzed an opportunity for self-knowledge in regard to
what triggers certain emotional responses and how we handle them kind
of from a position of auto-pilot. The auto-pilot responses being the
curiosity presented with this. As in, once noted, a person can be
quite prone to ask themselves where that knee jerk response came
from...ultimately finding it in something connected with their early
life or even in the behavior patterns of their family.
Yet, the retrogrades have taken us even
deeper than what Mars has done. Mars being an imperative factor,
though, as he does rule our very first sign in the zodiac. Plus,
bearing importance as he lingers around the South Node (past Mars
history on personal and collective levels) as well as in square to
Uranus. Uranus' operation is to bring wisdom, clarity and
consciousness to Mars as an end result while also catalyzing change.
In other words, the Mars Rx, Uranus, Chiron in Aries and the factor
of the SN are all meant to show us how we might trip ourselves up
right off the jump and help us to learn to refine our actions to a
more effective end. Meanwhile, at these early degrees, we also have
Saturn holding us to accountability. And, also still weighing in as
traditional ruler of Mars in Aquarius with Uranus holding space in
modern rulership.
Saturn calls us to accountability. With
his retrograde, we reflect upon past experience, work accomplished in
the past and test the sustainability of structures we have
constructed in our lives thus far. We can evaluate all this rather
soberly as long as we take a position of accountability and boundary
in it. It is that realization of accountability and consequence in
the realm of past action that (even if connected to regrettable
outcomes) shows us that we do have some power in the situation,
itself.
Interestingly, the Mercury retrogrades
all take place in fire this year. There was a retrograde in Aries
that gave us all a chance to review the ways we engage, initiate,
deal with our anger (or not) and to rethink/reconstruct the whole of
that dynamic or merely see it from a new perspective. But, in the
chain reaction of retrograde planets recently, Mercury was one of the
last (save Uranus) to actually turn retrograde. Almost as if the
other retrograde planets led us to this reconsideration of self as a
whole. Interesting part of that being...Uranus and Chiron are
actually going to review their previous signs briefly. Still holding
in semi-sextile and both still “playing” with Mars. So, there
will be more opportunity to bring what was once unconsciously
“hurting” us (Chiron in Pisces) and bring it to stronger
awareness. Our growing awareness then feeds into Uranus Rx into Aries
which, once again, helps us bring more personally gleaned wisdom to
the table in regard to how we engage, initiate, feel motivated,
inspired and how we deal with anger to the fore.
The “Big Revelation” that I speak
of is actually a spotlight that is shone on matters of “self”
more so than something that is revealed within the collective.
Though, something happening within the collective that bears affect
upon the whole in some way (or even more than one thing) is not
completely out of the question. The bigger and more relevant issues
delivered to us under this sky are very personal and very direct hits
that could come to us in a way that are difficult to put into words.
So, remember, if you feel like you must be connected to every little
blip in the radar that comes across your TV or computer screen 1) the
reason behind why you feel the need to be overly engaged in that is
something to look at 2) the reason you feel helpless to be of
assistance is another and 3) your reaction to it is actually the big
deal here among with a whole array of other personal things over and
above the circumstances within the collective that may have catalyzed
it to begin with.
Pluto and Neptune have been within orb
of a sextile and is found so in every chart of every person who is
alive at this moment on the planet. The two represent generational
issues (conditions of life that we are all born into) while their
aspects to our personal planets depict our connection to these
generational issues. That last part has a wide variance. But, if you
have something in aspect to one or the other, then that planet
aspecting one also, in some way, aspects another.
These two are the very essential
building blocks within the houses that metaphorically “built”
each and every one of us. Cornerstones, in a way. At this Moon, we
are given the opportunity to consciously assess how we have
incorporated those cornerstones into the building of the “whole”
of us. Things that have affected us since we made our entrance into
this existence and likely didn't even realize it. With that, we are
also given chance to make these facts more conscious and subsequently
choose our actions more wisely in light of what they have to reveal.
All that information is the what the
High Priestess represents. We don't have to look behind the veil.
But, doing so helps us achieve a more firm understanding of ourselves
and, in turn, hands us the reigns to make adjustments/foster a new
perspective all of which can lead to better quality of life for
ourselves. That, in turn, trickles out into the collective making us
stronger as unit. Because...that is how this works. As above, so
below. As within, so without. The biggest thing you can do to help
the condition of this world is to fix what is broken within yourself.
That's how you become the most effective in anything, really. And,
those weak spots, unconscious spots...those ways we essentially
defeat ourselves before we ever even get started is what we have the
opportunity to view under this Moon and through the next two weeks to
the Full Moon in Pisces (which, I think looks delicious, btw).
All that being said, I've heard a lot
of fantastical stuff about this Moon. And, a lot of it is just that.
I'm not saying it isn't a powerful lunation. I'm saying it is not
going to solve all the worlds problems. It is not going to shoot us
all up to a new dimension of consciousness. It is not some magical
gate that we walk through that solves anything on a collective level.
When you wake up on Sunday the world is going to be a lot like you
left it on Saturday. Ok? The only thing due to change is YOU. And
only if you decide to do this deep self-consideration, confrontation,
healing and acceptance within yourself. If you do it will continue to
become more clear is our ability to tap into the truth of ourselves.
What that does is help us more consciously engage in the world than
we did before...IF WE CHOOSE! Not everyone will. But, those who take
the time to get good and centered in themselves while striving toward
really healing/accepting the parts within that need it, will be the
ones who actually begin to really make a impact on how we all move
forward from here. Yet, many will be left behind in that. Stuck and
hardwired. Slain by unconscious anger/engagement mismanagement (as
well as emotional mismanagement) and fear. We grow or we stagnate.
What continues to grow eventually overtakes what becomes hardwired, rigid and
unable to adapt to an ever changing world. Essentially...it all
starts with you. It really is just that simple.
