Full Moon in Gemini 2017

The write up for this Full Moon was written in January of last year for my book "By the Light of the Moon." I'm telling you this because I have not read it since and when I wrote it, I had literally no inkling of where we would be or what the world would look like in this day. None. But, when I went back and read this to see if it was still applicable, to edit if necessary or tweak where needed, I found nothing that needed to be changed. Please...do not take that as brag. I cannot take credit for barely anything that I write. All I know to tell you is that it comes through me but not from me. If that makes any sense at all. It makes more sense to me as this year has moved forward and I've come to a place that I feel like I can trust (which, is actually a big deal for someone who has a lot of Scorpio particularly on Mercury to be able to say) the source from whence it came.
Find your faith. Hold on to it. Pray. Take your claws out of whatever your problems are. Turn them over. Find and feel that higher power because even though I cannot tell you how or why or even what that is...it is just as real as all the ugly you see "out there." Remove yourself and your worry out of the way. And, let it do its job.

For the Sun at 12 Sagittarius: A flag becomes an eagle; the eagle a proud chanticleer. Again we see what flies internally externalized through the flag and eagle. In this instance, though, the Eagle soars outward announcing his victory. This can be a very lucky symbol but it definitely points to increasing and building mastery. We flow from the abstract to the concrete and separate ourselves from the collective further illustrating and defining the personal.

For the Moon at 12 Gemini: A slave girl demands her rights of her mistress. Here we have the desire to speak up against unfair oppression. We step out of our imposed roles and demand our equality and personal freedoms. This is a brave girl. Her actions could actually lead to her death or torture. But, could death and torture be worse than the torture endures now by being enslaved? She will have to make that call. Speak up for yourself. Demand your own freedom. Incorporate and announce a ZERO tolerance policy for ignorance such as racism, sexism, ageism, enslavement and prejudice. Enough.

For the Moon's Ruler, Mercury Rx at 29 Sagittarius (Mercury stations RX TODAY!!...at 29 Sagittarius 18): Perspiring fat boy eager to reduce is mowing a lawn. Persistence. This little guy is working hard to better himself. He is doing double duty here. Completing a chore and perhaps earning money while also bearing in mind the more positive ramifications upon his health. That's important to consider when doing any job. We often don't consider our health within our employment venues. Perhaps, we should. Good pay and wonderful benefits matter little when you are so stressed it makes you sick. Plus, the benefits he will find in becoming more fit are added incentive to keep at it.

Delineation

When I first looked at this lunation, I thought “shape shifter.” Would you look at all that Neptune? That's a lot. Not only does this Full Moon create a mutable t-square with the Sea God, Jupiter is also in exact trine. Honestly, it looks pretty magical to me. But, I am accustomed to Neptune. Earth and Fire folks may have a hard time adjusting to this.

Mutable t-square: This demands flexibility. The outlet for the t-square is in Virgo which reminds me of the health connotations found in Mercury's symbol. It's true, we may have a blossoming of illness under this Moon. Because of that, be a good Virgo and employ proper protective measures in regard to your health and well being. These include hand washing and ensuring that you are loaded up with immunity supportive vitamins and what have you. Definitely make your self-care your first priority before you consider anything else.
Yet, there is so much more going on here than just the chance at illness. We also have Mercury (the ruler of both Virgo and Gemini) turning retrograde in the same house as the Sun. Due that, this lunation may have a tendency to bend reality. Information is confused. Minds are blurry. Memories are foggy. And, Gods help us...where are our keys?
Folks could be misrepresenting themselves or our perspective of them could be skewed. We are all just Neptuned, man. Nothing is at it seems.
Virgo can help with that, of course. She can help us become more grounded and definitely encourages us to try. One methodical step at a time. If we withdraw like the Hermit (quiet alone time does appease Moon/Neptune) then we can worry less about what is askew in the outside world and look for our own inner truth, instead. Virgo is also astute in separating information. She can sort and organize things more efficiently than any other sign in the zodiac. So, in the midst of all this uncertainty and flux, remember Virgo. Triage. Prioritize. Heal the sick and serve all; but, pull yourself to shore first.

Mercury newly Rx: The fact that we have so much energy coming from Neptune is going to make this Mercury station even more confusing than typical. Again, nothing is as it appears. Logic and reason do not exist. Nothing you knew is true anymore. So, be entertained by what you see but don't take it too seriously. We are at risk of all things Mercury going sideways, here. This includes travel, communications and the weather. Plus, our brains are fuzzy and the intuitive/emotional systems are overrunning logic. Due that, it feels a lot like trying to navigate through a dark room we've never been in before. We can't see. Noises/echoes seem amplified. We have to rely on the sensation of touch more than usual. Listen less to what your mind says. Listen more to what your internal guidance system tells you. Listen to your body. Learn to read and incorporate those cues. Watch body language from speakers and presenters to get a more clear picture of their agenda. Their presence and their words may be veiled or misunderstood. Ask for clarification when in doubt. But, rely more on what folks don't say rather than what they do say. Better yet, rely on your guidance systems more than what you hear/see in this physical world.

Jupiter trine Neptune: As mentioned before, this is a highly intuitive and creative mixture. But, wow...that's a lot of water. A lot of deep and very stirring waters. There will likely be tears for various reasons spilled at this Moon. The weather will likely be wet...as in...maybe we should build an arc. Or an igloo if it's snowing. However, this is also another indication to lean more into intuitive information than concepts of logic. Grounding is essential, folks. This sky is a swiftly churning sea. Many, especially those uncomfortable in emotional/intuitive waters are going to be sensitive and emotional. By all means employ proper boundary and dismiss yourself from the chaos if needed to re-discover your center. Mercury is Retrograde in Sagittarius. He is recalibrating his compass to ensure he is still going in the right direction. Chances are, your internal compass may need your attention too. Get quiet and still enough so that you can hear what your inner voice is telling you and redirect when/where needed. Quite literally though...my gosh, I can't say this enough...there is a lot of confusion here. The ground is shaky. What we have known to be true seems to dissipate in thin air. Reality dissolves into spiritual ethereal fog. Nothing is certain. Nothing seems real. But...that being said, it also feels like absolutely anything is possible. Dreams are vivid. Visions are astute. Did we transcend the Earthly plane for a bit? For forever? Are we even real? Pinch yourself to be sure. We've been desensitized to a lot of things. Here, we feel everything. To the degree that so much feeling could, indeed, lead to numbness.

Saturn conjunct Pholus near the Galactic Center: So this little fact is likely to be largely unnoticed. However, it does bear significance. The Galactic Center is a black hole. Pholus is a centaur who compromised his integrity in an effort to “go along to get along” and ended up making a big mess of things. I always see his bottle of wine uncorking and spewing all over the place. This adds to the Neptune factor. The bottle “pops” and it's contents come spewing uncontrollably out. Things spiral seemingly out of control. Grab on to Saturn and hold on tight!! Grounding. Truth. Boundaries. Grab a floatation device.
Maybe, the black hole sucks our entire Universe in it? Maybe it just feels like that? I'm not sure. But, the constellation that includes the GC looks like a teapot. There's a tempest in there right now for sure!

Mars opposite Uranus: Ok. So Neptune unleashes the gaseous fumes and we are handed a match. There is wonderful potential to blow yourself up here. Shoot yourself in the foot or worse. The best bet is to hold steady until this veritable storm passes. We don't want to lash out violently in our confusion. This not to the time to be impulsive or rash. No. We must think higher than that. We must use this adrenaline to ensure our survival not blow ourselves up. Have I told you to hang on to Saturn yet? Grounding. Accountability. All that. BUT, more importantly this is also the rock of faith.
He helps with this aspect too as Mars meets him by sextile. Overall, though, this looks delusional (due Neptune) and reactive (Mars/Uranus) which can lead to volatility that quickly spirals out of control. Boundary yourself up very, very securely. Leash yourself up to a deeply rooted tree and let this confusing hurricane run its course. That's a metaphor, of course. I hope. Hold steady and shelter in place. Use your anger intelligently. I can't wait to see what Tarot has to say about all this.

(from the deck "Legacy of the Divine" by Ciro Marchetti")

King of Cups
Imagine that. Actually...imagine EVERYTHING and put it to good use. The King of Cups comes in to let us know to we must be master and commander of the seas. Your imagination can certainly run amok under these skies. We must know how to direct and put these waves to use. If you find yourself submerged, don't forget to follow the bubbles. That's right. Come to surface and get some air. Give yourself space. Don't let yourself be overrun by fear and worry. Take the lead. Teach them how to fish and how to surf.
Our typical navigational tools may not be working correctly. We may need to be imaginative, flexible and employ other means in an effort to navigate. Those with water heavy or Neptune heavy charts are going to be our leaders through this. Those laden in Earth can help us build an arc or feel more grounded. We must learn to ride the tides and become adherent to the concepts of flow. Those well practiced in maintaining clear boundary, empaths, creatives and dreamers are going to weather this storm the best. These folks are used to water. Not everyone is. They will be needed for support and guidance. Just remember, you can't save a drowning man if you are drowning yourself. Self-care must be your first initiative. But, if you can manage to get “in the flow” this beautiful nightmare turns into the sweetest of dreams. Quite literally, anything is possible. Any thing you dare to dream up. So, make sure you are pioneering that ship purposefully. Put the power of your creativity and imagination to work for you. Use your intuition and empathy as guides. Take a deep breath and dive into the waves without fear. Hold tight to concepts of faith and realize most of life is a transition from one plane to the next. This just happens to be A VERY BIG all encompassing transition.
Power is given to the peaceful. The PEACEFUL. Not the loudest panicking doomsday preaching schmuck in the room.
Also, due the fact that there is such a blend of water and fire under this Moon, the concepts of Temperance should also be in play. Temperance relates directly to Sagittarius energy and advises us to bring balanced mixture to the two elements. Action matches emotion. You will need to be at the helm on both those ships. Direct the emotional/intuitive waters first. Then the actions you will need to take become much more clear.
Prioritize. Triage. Treat the sick and serve all without leaving yourself out of that mixture.
The King of Cups is weathered and matured. He keeps issues of social responsibility at the fore. He cares for all people. ALL. Problems do arise when we are prone to dam emotions up or deny them. At this lunation, they come gushing forth. Directed to the appropriate audience through the appropriate venue and you could, in fact, appeal to on a core level to wide swathing audience that can “feel” what you are trying to say.
The King remains grounded, though. The waters flow around him but not over him. To some degree, he has learned to detach from them a little and rise above. He feels the emotions; but, he observes and studies them instead of allowing them to overwhelm or unseat him. He is in control of them..not the other way around. Good thing to remember.
Our first task is to get right with ourselves. Then, we can go forth, direct and engage in the world. Yet, the personal issues must be addressed. Emotions will be undeniable here as the tides rise, memories waft in and confusion emerges. Once you shore that up, you are sailing instead of drowning.
Invictus by William Ernest Henley comes to mind. I'll put my fist up and shout, “Power to the Peaceful!” one more time and leave you with this.

Invictus
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole
I thank whatever gods may be
for my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced or cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody but unbowed.
Beyond the this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace o the years
finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.
