Morning Star: Astrology for the weekend of June 10 to June 11, 2017

The crescendo of the Full Moon has occurred. Jupiter has now turned direct in Libra. And, to some degree, it does feel as if things have settled down a bit just in time for the weekend. This morning, we wake under a waning Capricorn Moon. Most of the day, he moves toward an opposition with Mars in Cancer (3:51 PM). This pits our Mom and Dad energy at odds or puts seductive spice between them (watch the pictures and videos for the underlying theme here). We may feel ambiguous about what we would like to do making it hard in the end to really get into anything. The motivation from Cancer is often felt as a homebody-like feel while Capricorn has work to do in the public. Responsibilities and, perhaps, public appearances at a time when one would rather just stay home and tend to things there.

The linking factor between these two energies is, of course, the Moon who rules Cancer and transits Capricorn. We will do what we must. Perhaps meeting over dinner about business matters would be best or just balancing the dynamic between work life and home life to a degree that is more personally fulfilling may be the key.

Either way, our boss Capricorn Moon energy does relax shortly after this antagonistic energy perfects. She meets Venus in Taurus by trine at 4:43 PM and is reminded...it's the weekend. You are allowed to have a day off and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

The morning may be fair for production efforts. But know as you handle outside and wordly responsibilities, you may just be wishing you could go home. Balance it out. A little of this and a little of that. Then, reserve some time this evening to relax and unwind. Moon in opposition to Mars can cause disagreements and conflicts in motivation. Yet, Jupiter remains in Libra and is now direct. Employ mediation prowess to negotiate to an agreeable for all parties as best as possible. Plus, it is also a good day to manage at home responsibilities such as routine maintenance, clean-up and repairs. This is being both accountable and a homebody thus mixing the energies nicely. Getting the chores done early in the day, carves out room for relaxing in that comfortable space tonight.

This morning our Capricorn Moon meets Jupiter in Libra by square at 10:15 AM. At about the same time, she meets Neptune by sextile (12:19 PM). This can feel fairly good, actually. Relaxed. Leisurely...the boss Moon may stay in her robe and house slippers allowing her to just leisurely enjoy the morning and early evening hours.

Yet, as the day grows dark, the mood responds with similar. The Moon meets Pluto by conjunction at 9:23 PM. Other than playing out as typical Monday Morning dreads, this can have responsibilities weighing heavily on our shoulders. It can also exacerbate fears, nightmares, attempts at emotional control/manipulations and subservient side-winding in general. To best offset that you can use the power of Moon/Pluto to go deeply. Face your fears. Square off with your nightmares and remember the only thing you really have the right to control is yourself. Yet, if you find you are desperately grasping for straws in an effort to direct others, it might be a good time to assess the “why's” or the motivations behind that which can certainly be effectively done with Mars in Cancer.

Cue the seductive "bad boy"

The day goes out without further major aspect to the Moon. So, the depth, sensuality and potentially seriousness of Moon/Pluto carries us into our overnight. This can be sexy, tempting and seductive as well as controlling and fearful. Use the energy deliberately so that it doesn't end up using you. The Moon remains active in Capricorn until squaring Uranus in Aries tomorrow evening at 2:46 PM.

For the most part, the weekend could create some rather amorous goats. I mean, Capricorns are leaders and go getters. But, they need loving too (and are typically quite fond of it). This set up could bring the right amount of spice to table that rouses that kind of attractive and alluring energy up under this Capricorn Moon.
