Overnight, Mars completed
his opposition to Saturn just prior to the Cancer Moon making an
anxious square with Uranus. This all went down in a window of about 4
minutes between 2:56 AM EDT and 3:00 AM. We've been dealing with Mars
waxing toward this opposition for while. I'm glad to see it come to
an end. However, with the grand crescendo of that energy, the
collective mood is nervous. It feels a lot like backdraft to me.
Hopefully it passes without incident. Yet, I can't dismiss the
possibility of some ugly anxious-making stuff. At 5:32 AM, the Moon
makes a watery trine with Chiron and reaches Void status until
entering Leo at 8:13 AM.
The rest of the day, the
Moon spends waxing through Leo working toward a sextile with our
Gemini Sun which perfects tonight at 11:18 PM. We are prone to
assessing personal effects and discussing it with friends. It does
seem to get lighter following the release of pressures from
Mars/Saturn.

Our Fire Moon makes a
sextile with Jupiter in Libra at 6:57 AM. It's active and jubilant
offering a chance at both socialization and movement. The
active/social component is accentuated due the fact that Mars in
Gemini waxes toward a sextile with Uranus in Aries (10:40 PM). As the
pressure from Saturn continues to wane, Mars is out of the gate and
moving toward brighter days. The Moon births optimism and creativity.
However, she does square common sense Mercury in Taurus at 2:48 PM,
which brings her to ground for a moment.
The night goes out with a
fiery trine between the Leo Moon and Venus in Aries. Yes, the alley
cats will be wailing. Indulge in the pleasure of your choosing.

Early this morning the Leo
Moon is stabilized and given an agenda for the day by way of a trine
to Saturn at 4:24 AM. We wake up satisfied and spry for action as she
then moves in to create a trine with Uranus at 6:51 AM. This is a
good day for getting down to business, networking in effort to
achieve our goals and being physically active and/or creative. That
inclination repeats as the Moon finds Mars in Gemini by 7:15 AM. Get
up. Make a plan and run with it.
The “making a plan”
energy is backed up by an Earthy trine between Mercury in Taurus and
Pluto in Capricorn. We can really get down to the nitty gritty in our
efforts if we get started early. The Moon is Void after the sextile
with Mars until entering Virgo at 12:17 PM. Perhaps the last leg of
the Leo Moon brings us the plan and the inspiration. Then, when the
Moon jumps into practical Virgo, we get busy following through with
our plans. Progress can certainly be made steadily and without
skipping steps within this day. Many will be inclined to engage in
such and THIS astrologer encourages you to do so as we step out of
the last day of May. As the pressure of our First Quarter waxes in
tomorrow, you'll thank yourself (or should) for any progress you make
today. Don't be overly self-critical if you are not as far along as
you think you should be. Every step counts. Also, know if you want to
get to the bottom of something, suss out the root of fears/paranoia
or embark on deep study of some kind...Mercury in trine to Pluto
provides you the avenue for that. Then, when the Moon clicks into
Virgo, you can find practical use for that information.

Today offers a mixed bag of
treats. We begin with the First Quarter Moon perfecting between our
Mercury ruled signs of Gemini and Virgo. Gemini has many interests
and can be easily distracted by moving from task to task without
completely any of them. Virgo, however, has a more practical plan.
Yet the friction here will be between wanting to flit from one thing
to another as the Moon is bent on follow through.
However, Venus in Aries
waxes toward a fire trine with Saturn in Sagittarius at about noon
helping us to set personal goals and lead us to our own true North in
regard to how to address this day. We may wear down quickly, though,
as our industrious Moon waxes into an opposition with Neptune at 2:16
PM. It's been a busy few days. Maybe a little midday catnap won't
hurt a thing. I can't really think of a time when it ever did.
At 11:11 PM, our goals are
more deeply assessed and the emotional body restores as the Moon
meets Pluto by trine. This can denote deep and restorative sleep.
Focus on matters under the immediate surface or the ability to face
our own fears about how astutely we can progress toward our goals.

This morning, the Virgo Moon
makes a nice Earth trine with her ruler, Mercury in Taurus. This is
grounded, practical and has a plan! Just follow through step by step
with your business and don't try to take off running toward too many
things at once. Mars perfects in square to Chiron at 6:14 AM (watch
your toes and be careful around equipment with sharp/moving
parts...like lawnmowers!!).
The mood does become a bit
more dour as the Moon squares Saturn in Sagittarius at 11:22 AM. Hey,
Virgo, no one said you had to get it all done in one day. Progress is
progress! Keep stepping toward that long-term goal and don't be so
self-critical!
But...that throbbing
toe...that Mars/Chiron, remains a factor for the rest of the day.
This can show up as physical illness, injury, allergy, becoming aware
of bias or falling prey to matters of addiction. It could also mean
running up against chinks in the armor of our goals. Virgo Moon can
both prioritize and triage. If you are sick, be a good self-nurse
because your health needs to come first. If you are wrestling with
self-criticism and doubt, know that's your Chironic job. Deal with
what presents as needing dealt with. That's your job even if it is
not what you originally intended for this day. The Moon opposes
Chiron and squares Mars through the 5 o'clock hour before going
Void...what would Jimmy Buffet say about that?
The Moon remains Void until
entering social Libra at 8:05 PM and Venus meets Uranus overnight as
the Sun waxes toward Jupiter. Tomorrow, our Libra moon joins in....I
smell...a party! The work whistle has wailed. Shift from industry to
entertainment and enjoy!
