Morning Star: Astrology for the week of November 28 to December 4, 2016

Monday, November 28, 2016

The Moon is Void in Scorpio for a large portion of the day. She enters Sagittarius this afternoon at 3:46 PM. Not much occurs in the realm of Astrology throughout the day, save a few minor aspects from the Moon.

We are in full blown releasing mode as we make our way to the New Moon in Sagittarius which occurs in the morning.

Tuesday, November 29, 2016

This morning we wake up to a fresh New Moon cycle with the seed of the New Moon in Sagittarius being planted at 7 Sagittarius 43 at 7:19 AM EST. The Sabian Symbol for this lunation reads as follows:

SUN AND MOON AT 8 SAGITTARIUS: In the cauldron of the universe the metals are forming. Irresistible determination to be. Infinite capacity for hard work. Crystallization of purpose and will out of experience.

Shortly after the perfection of the New Moon, Venus in Capricorn sextiles Chiron (10:14 AM). She then finds Uranus by square a few hours later at 3:20 PM. Meanwhile, the Moon in Sagittarius squares Neptune at 10:26 AM. The New Moon itself is within orb of a square with Neptune as the Sun continues to wax in this square until perfecting tomorrow night.
One interesting thing to point out here about the signs of Aquarius (ruled by Uranus and Saturn) and Pisces (ruled by Jupiter and Neptune). Both, at their highest, are unifying. For example, Aquarius is prone to gather people together in groups. Races. Classes. It scientifically divides things like plant and animal species, too. So, while there is unity there is still a sense of division and classification. That is not to say that Aquarius at it's highest doesn't recognize the need for co-existence of these groups. It does. It recognizes how one classification effects another and how the dynamic of interaction between groups effects the world/environment at large. However, it still recognizes the differences within the mix. Pisces, however, dissolves the edges of the divisive lines and puts everyone and everything in an interconnected sea. There is no separation of animal, man, rock or any other thing. The highest expression of Pisces sees (and feels) the connectivity of ALL things.
I think this is important to keep in the back of your mind as we traverse this day due to Venus' movements. Chiron in Pisces can represent many things. Our denied illnesses. Our illusory sense of division or even feeling as if you are lost in that sea...meaningless, unimportant and just a mere drop of water lost within infinity. It can represent matters of addiction, personal/collective bias, all the -isms (racism, sexism, ageism, etc) as well as a desire to heal that or set yourself apart from it. It can also represent an alluring desire for escape be that through suicide, use of chemicals/drugs or denial and what have you. Unfortunately, though, the matters that Chiron in Pisces represents influence the entire sea of existence. And, Chiron's issues here are often very illusive. Hard to grasp concepts that more often show up as a needling or sick/achy feeling in our very core rather than one that makes any kind of logical sense. The effect of Chiron in Pisces means if your neighbor is sick then so are you. If one drop of water is ill or not operating in an effort to support the unity of the whole then the whole sea is turbulent and/or fractured. The ripples this creates is infinite and draws to mind the importance of concern for the welfare of all people and matters of the Universe because directly or indirectly it does effect even the smallest droplet of water...even you.

Venus in Capricorn has an admiration for tradition. Maintaining and supporting a sense of culture that has been passed down from previous generations. Here, she is also concerned with matters of reputation, prestige and somewhat of a maintenance of the status quo. As she passes by Chiron by sextile, though the aspect is rather soft, there could be an increasing fear or sense of these things being lost, washed away, denied or forgotten. Then, as she squares Uranus in Aries, there could be an outcry for these divisive lines to be redrawn as folks declare “I am this or that and these things are relevant to maintaining my sense of culture.” This mentality helps foster a sense of identity for folks. Sort of like a sense of pride in regard to what it is that makes us unique and/or set apart from the sea. When in actuality, not to say these things are not important, they still denote a sense of division amongst us. It's then when we start fighting over who is right, what is best, what is wrong based upon these long standing principles of different cultures that are held at value by individuals and governing bodies at large.
One simple example of this that I find both humorous and annoying is the ongoing debate of wishing someone a Merry Christmas versus Happy Holidays at this time of year. I've noticed that when someone is in the throes of or whipped up in the disagreement over this they will wish someone one or the other with a sense of spite in their voice. Adamantly. “I'm going to wish you a Merry Christmas regardless of how anyone reacts to it because that's how I believe!” Ok. That really doesn't sound like you are wishing someone well to me. It sounds a lot like you are saying words veiled with spite. So. Yeah. That's what is conveyed here. Spite. “Have a Merry Christmas whether you like it or not!” And, don't think that the underlying nuance of your sentiment is missed either. Depending on inflection and tone you can slice someone open with words whose meaning should be warm and jolly and vice versa. As a matter of fact your non-verbal conveyances bear much more impact than your actual words upon a communication exchange. In the end, it matters MUCH less the words you use and MUCH more how you use those words. Honestly, I can think of nothing else more trivial than this. You are either sending well wishes or not. The words you use matter less than the sentiment behind them.
At the same time, Mars in Aquarius remains in mutual reception with Uranus in Aries. The push for unity by way of division persists. Different groups rise up and war with other groups for different reasons all under the pretense of freedom for one group or the other. It's like an autoimmune disorder or something as one part of the body human attacks the other. The higher expression of this recognizes the differences within groups of folks (or plant/animal species) and strives toward co-existence. But, in our anger or oppression we are often distracted with the maintenance of the divisions rather than bringing the groups peacefully and cohesively together. Holding the lines and barriers. Uplifting and pointing out the differences and divides. Never realizing or acknowledging that we all return to the same type of dust and vapor...eventually. We are all specialized cells within the body human.

I do realize this is a lot to take in regarding just a few Venus aspects. However, as Venus sextiles Chiron we are gently reminded of this “lost at sea” syndrome that we may fear the loss of things like tradition and culture. Then, as Venus squares Uranus, the easiest way (lowest expression) is to work to strive to maintain and uphold those differences honoring whichever one applies to the individual. While, the highest expression (and hardest to maintain, most likely) is to detach from them OR be willing to share them. A stronger Universal mentality supports sharing, understanding and mutual respect for the multitude of cultural traditions and beliefs. Part of me is convinced that the only way this type of unity may occur is through some sort of Alien invasion. Yes. You read that right. I'm at a loss in regard to what may unite humanity other than a threat from something non-human. I say that both with snark and seriousness.
I'm not saying that cultural history and tradition are not important. They are. We must know our past history, know the details of what built us, know our personal cultural “stain” so to speak. However. IF there is something about any of that which makes you prone to attack someone of another culture, push for segregation or oppression of other types of people, denounce or wound your connection to anything outside that group and/or deny or devalue something of importance to another group...then, there is an uncertain type of illness there that needs to be rectified. Simply put if maintaining your sense of culture and tradition means infringing upon the right to the same for someone else, then...something is askew somewhere. This is the part that needs to be released. Detach from the fear that something “different” may be a threat to what you know. Heart cells don't chide stomach cells for being what they are. I mean this type of cohesiveness occurs right in your body on a daily basis. As within so without. In the external world why do we do this to each other? That just makes the crevice bigger and further divides us for absolutely no reason since we all return to the same sea eventually in death. I'm right! You are wrong! Then we die and none of it matters. Pointless waste of all kinds of energies.
What's really interesting? Without your religious texts. Without your idols. Without your “sacred places” you are still you and likely still believe what you believe. You have still inherited the genealogy and history of what you've inherited. Physical representations of culture, religion and tradition can be stripped from you. But, the truth of who you are and where you came from still remains; because, no one can take that away from you.
You are unique and important. Just like everyone else. You are an individual but as an individual you are (like it or not) also a part of an integral and infinite sea of everything.
The New Moon herself offers an opportunity at a different perspective and fostering of a more inclusive world view (square Neptune). Then, Venus aims to test that a little. She asks, “Do you mean it? Even if it means taking away this and this and this? What is really important here?” And, it all occurs under an uncertain, emotional and foggy veil of Neptune. Will you continue to deny the fact that we are all one in favor of your sense of individualized or cultural pride? To the point that pride leads you to a martyr's death? Some will say “yes.” Others will soften and question themselves. Even more still, will be lost questioning who they are and who these folks around them are because nothing really seems solid or real. Some will struggle to find a foothold in their identity.

Between 11:00 PM and about 3:30 AM, the Moon tops off a lovely mini-trine between the signs of Sagittarius, Libra and Aquarius (15-17 degrees). She begins with a sextile to Mars in Aquarius at 11:00 PM. This is followed by a sextile to Jupiter at 1:21 AM. It ends with a lunar conjunction to Saturn at 3:17 AM. Yes. Moon to Saturn is quickly sobering. But, that sobering fosters a sense of emotional fortitude, truth and boundary that is uplifted by Mars and Jupiter. All of which begs and pleads to us for cohesiveness (Aquarius), justice (Libra) and truth (Sagittarius). The Sun will soon repeat these aspects.
All in all, it's a pretty interesting day. Likely active with many choosing to foster a new outlook on several different scenarios while others continue to question both themselves and the folks around them in confusion as the Sun keeps waxing toward Neptune. There are definitely emotional connotations to the day as well due the Neptunian influence that works to dissolve boundaries and divisive lines across the world. In other words, in the core of your existence, the pain of the world can be felt aching in your soul whether you choose to consciously recognize it as that or not.

Wednesday, November 30, 2016

This morning, the Moon in Sagittarius is square Chiron (9:18 AM) and subsequently trine Uranus in Aries (9:46 AM). Again we have the feelings of illusive pain, illness and a sense of disconnection coupled by a desire toward freedom of expression and backed by a sense of cohesiveness. All the while the lines of personal identity continue to blur as the Sun perfects in square to Neptune at 8:17 PM. TRUTH! TRUTH! UNITY! UNITY! Are chants that cry out but there is an underlying block to that which says, “As long as I don't have to let go of this and this in order to achieve it.” When the very things we are clinging to in resistance are exactly what widens the existing crevices.

By 11:09 PM, the Moon is conjunct Mercury in Sagittarius. Following this aspect, the Moon reaches Void status until entering Capricorn at 3:53 AM early tomorrow morning. We need (Moon) open and truthful (Sagittarius) discussion (Mercury). We need (Moon) to foster a deeper understanding of world culture and foreign affairs (Sagittarius) and bring a sense of collaborative dialogue to the table (Mercury). The night ends with us stewing on that note. The conversations/thoughts are ongoing and emotionally affective. But, a plan of action is yet to be fostered. We are just talking/thinking about it all here.
Prior to the Moon reactivating in Capricorn, Chiron in Pisces turns direct at 3:24 AM.

Thursday, December 1, 2016

This morning the Moon is in Capricorn. Her first aspect is a sextile to Neptune at 10:16 PM. What builds throughout the day, though, is the waxing trine between Mars in Aquarius and Jupiter in Libra. At it's most basic this is VERY windy. (Could be a good day to drag out the leaf blower). It can, at times, even feel aggressively windy but that is not the highest expression of this. The highest expression calls for justice, unity, recognition of differences but still a call toward cohesiveness.

As the Moon is being softened by Neptune, today's Mars/Jupiter trine is stellar for charitable acts and engaging in movements that support a social cause. There are few cautions. One is over-promising yourself or metaphorically biting off more than you can chew. Another is not realizing that talking about doing something and actually doing it are not the same thing. Think less. Do more. A final one is pushing a personal agenda instead of something that supports unity and cohesiveness. Neither Libra nor Aquarius are very personal. They represent “the other” and “the group” not so much just “you.” We move forward together or not at all, in other words. This is less about your personal agenda. It's more about inclusive forward motion and what you can physically do/change in an effort to support such.

Overall, if you can flow with the integrity and compassion of Capricorn mixed with Neptune, you can, in fact, accomplish a great deal today. Rigid schedules and time crunched deadlines do not support this. You do what you can as the opportunity arises without just trying to “fit it in your schedule.”

Friday, December 2, 2016

Today we move from yesterday's damp but arid conditions into something a little deeper and darker. The Moon in Capricorn finds Pluto by conjunction at 11:28 AM. She then finds Jupiter by square at 1:41 PM. She re-ignites the battle between the Gods. Control and manipulation become huge issues. The highest expression preaches less and models appropriate behavior instead. While the lesser of this energy fights for control over everyone and everything. It is justified (often self-justified) to the death.
Mentalities and mindsets are due to shift this afternoon as Mercury enters Capricorn at 4:18 PM. In the sign of Capricorn, Mercury will experience a retrograde period. In other words, he is going to be in the sign for a bit. His backward movement begins on Dec 19 at 15 Capricorn 08 (barely missing a conjunction with Pluto). He travels all the way back to 28 Sagittarius 52 where he finally turns direct on January 8 of next year. He is already in shadow as I type this.
The Moon is still busy following Mercury's entrance into Capricorn. At 8:37 PM she is sextile Chiron. A few minutes later she is square Uranus (8:58 PM). This again brings potential to be triggered and subsequently react impulsively. Whereas the higher expression has us softening with empathy and awareness while subsequently trying to foster a more intelligent and logical way to deal with what has occurred and continues to occur. It's an opportunity at self-conditioning in a way.

Due the current positions of Chiron and Uranus (semi-sextile) any time a planet makes an aspect to one, it almost immediately and/or simultaneously makes an aspect to the other. As each one of our “more personal” planets/luminaries (Venus, Mercury, Mars, Sun and Moon) pass by these bodies, we are tested a little more. The same issues crop up in different ways in an effort to bring acknowledgment to these Chironic issues. Then the instigating aspects to Uranus propel us to deal with them. The first few set ups like this were likely rocky. We probably did react in a knee jerk or wounded animal type of way. Yet as they continue, we are given a chance to see how our reactions could be refined, more wise, more inventive, more inclined toward our own sense of freedom and independence rather than left shaking our heads wondering “WHY does this keep happening to me?” I was reminded a few days ago that a definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results. I, in no way, believe this to be a comprehensive definition of insanity. But, it does apply. So, if you catch yourself asking why something keeps occurring you can rest assured that it is likely because your reaction to it, your attitude toward it or your boundaries around it need to be adjusted in someway. If the old way of coping isn't working, experiment with something new.

Saturday, December 3, 2016

Emotional bodies are at a little bit more ease this morning as the Moon finds Venus in Capricorn via conjunction at 5:17 AM. Here, she reaches Void status until entering Aquarius at 2:45 PM.

Meanwhile, Mars moves from his trine with Jupiter and enters a sextile with Saturn at 7:16 AM. This, coupled with the stellium in Capricorn, calls for us to get down to solid production. It isn't really recommended to start anything new under a Void moon. But, you can make progress on projects you have already started. Or you can wait to start something new as the Moon clicks over into Aquarius. Either way, we are fairly bent on production and achievement. Being able to feel as if you have accomplished something will help you feel more settled. With or without production, though, the sextile between Mars and Saturn calls for us to be accountable for our actions and to act with responsibility.
The rest of the day clicks by with only minor aspects from the Moon. This allows us to toil as we please without much distraction from the emotional body. It's fairly smooth and easy for the most part.

Sunday, December 4, 2016

Last night's “smooth and easy” continues into this morning. The first Lunar aspect we encounter is a sextile between the Moon and the Sun in Sagittarius. This uplifting and light. Joyful, even. And, considering the only other major lunar aspect we have is a trine to Jupiter at midnight, we may even be able to relax and just enjoy the day.
This set up is good for social gatherings. Circles of friends. It's breezy and fairly active. It's also a good day for sporting events (attending or playing). So, choose your venue, grab some buddies and enjoy.

Morning Star: Astrology for the weekend of November 26 and November 27, 2016

Saturday, November 26, 2017

Following an opposition with Uranus on Friday morning (8:53 AM) the Moon crossed over into Void status and stayed there all day. Meanwhile, Venus was quite busy with her conjunction to Pluto (6:47 AM) and square to Jupiter (8:46 AM).
At 3:02 AM this morning, the Moon clicked into Scorpio and now begins darkening very quickly. Our New Moon in Sagittarius commences her fresh cycle on Tuesday morning at 7:19 AM EST at 7 SAGITTARIUS 43.

The Sabian Symbols for this Lunar Event read as follows:

SUN AND MOON AT 8 SAGITTARIUS: In the cauldron of the universe the metals are forming. Irresistible determination to be. Infinite capacity for hard work. Crystallization of purpose and will out of experience.
JUPITER AT 17 LIBRA: Retired sea captain in uniform watches ships sail away. Vicarious or mellow participation in life. Transfer of activity from physical to mental; or self-involvement in the past.

Until then, though, the Moon is purging, releasing, clearing, wrapping up and absolving her current phase. Early this morning, Mercury is inflamed due a fiery trine with Uranus at 8:38 AM. Minds and mouths are busy and without filter. For some, this can equate to symptoms equivalent of those found in ADHD. At it's highest, it's supports straight truthful verbal discourse. Rapid fire swapping and sharing of ideas and inspiration. There is certainly room for brilliance to wax in. I'll tell you, though, in order to mete out this energy effectively, you must remain cool and grounded. Once the adrenaline starts surging or once your body is polluted with chemicals, this becomes harder to manage. Scorpio Moon feels incredibly deeply. And, holds a lot very close to her chest. However, with Mercury in this kind of condition, it's as if you have this big puffed up balloon of thoughts and ideas which we may try to keep to ourselves but Uranus provides the “poke” that sends that puffed up balloon sailing and expelling everything it previous had pent up. Can be good for clearing the air and finally being able to find the words to express how you feel. Or...someone's rapid fire and thoughtless mouth could really send you toward more negative feelings. It all depends. Of course, it doesn't help matters much that just prior to the fire trine, Mercury perfects in square to Chiron (3:22 AM). Triggering. Also, something that can pop that ever building balloon.

For best results, again, grounding and attempts at NOT adding more angst to the situation (lowering intake of caffeine, stimulants and reducing your risk of over stimulation due to media intake and the like) are paramount. IF you can do that, then this aspect plays out much more smoothly.
If nothing else, today is wonderful for detoxification and clearance efforts for more than one reason. First, this is what waning moons are for. Second, Scorpio Moon greatly benefits from it and can be quite stellar at doing so. Either way, there is a chance at pressure release. It's like letting the air out of a fully inflated balloon all at once and watching it sail wildly all around the room until everything is expelled. It can bring relief. But, unchecked it can also bring hurt feelings and spewing off the cuff with things you don't really mean. Those latter possibilities decrease if you can maintain an air of optimism, future mindedness and keep the intention of clearing the air and having truthful and open discussions instead of just mindlessly shooting off your mouth. Yes. Mindfulness is very important here. Thinking independently is also greatly accentuated as well as pulling folks together under the umbrella of a common social and/or philosophical cause. Words, thoughts AND emotions matter today. Make sure you are well tuned into yours. What needs to be avoided is the potential for mindless group think. It would be really easy to be whipped up in a frenzy and it would be really easy for someone else to also do this in a not so great way. But, as the negative exists so does the positive. As much as the potential for a negative mob mentality exists, so does the potential for positive and liberating movements. Does that make sense? We can come together due fears and shadows and loose our collective minds. Or, we can come together over things we are deeply concerned about and make sincere unifying progress while opening the door wide to collaboration and fostering of new solutions. Both potentials exist. The power of your choice as to how to use it is what matters. Most likely the truth of what you've been holding inside you is likely to come out for better or worse. Which, in a sideways manner, makes today wonderful for observation if you are curious about the truth of who you are dealing with.
Remember, the sign of Scorpio is bent on extremes. It can go really, really good. Or really, really bad. Many will forget the middle ground. But, Jupiter in Libra BEGS us to remember.

Either way, the events of today are likely to wear us out. At 9:48 PM the Moon trines Neptune and we are ready for retreat, quenching of dry throats and perhaps a little bit of fantasy by way of escape. We've heard enough. Said enough. Now all that rests and stirs in the emotional/intuitive body.
It's a busy day overall. The chance for unsettled weather is high both in the external world and internal world. We will be ready to shut the door on it all by nightfall.

Sunday, November 27, 2016

This morning we wake up to ambiguity as the Moon in Scorpio squares off with Mars in Aquarius at 6:24 AM. It's like a clash of ice with very hot water. At the right temperatures, that can be explosive. A veritable shock to both systems (ice and heat). Done gently though and eventually the whole mixture reaches a common and more comfortable temperature.

When Scorpio and Aquarius bump heads, it's typically a fight over logic versus the emotional. And, that's a lot how this square plays out. To ease the tension between the two, balance logic against emotional awareness. Know that some things just don't make sense. Realize some “why's” don't have answers. Realize that how you feel DOES directly affect what you do. And, then, look for a commonality that the two can share. Give them a common cause to fight or stand up for. Find the fulcrum, the common ground, instead of dwelling on the impasse.
Around midday the Scorpio Moon gets much more comfortable due to tandem sextiles to Pluto (11:09 AM) and Venus (4:49 PM) in Capricorn. This brings depth and structure to the emotional body which allows it to settle significantly. It helps to know what is true priority in your life. What is really important. What it is that supports you and reliably feeds you back as much energy as you put in. What is WORTH it, in other words. Deeply expressed gratitude fits well here as well as leaning into tried, true and trustworthy connections.

The Sun and Moon both meet up with Uranus by minor aspect throughout the day. So there can be a little twitching. Unusual or awkward social interactions. A lingering anxious feel. But effort given over to finding what is true and stable is well spent and brings a nice sense of grounding and ease to the day.
At 8:56 PM the Moon finds Chiron by trine and reaches Void status. This is very quiet and following the interaction between the Moon, Pluto and Venus can lead us to delving into effective coping mechanisms in an effort to heal our aching souls.

The Moon remains Void for most of Monday. She enters Sagittarius at 3:46 PM tomorrow.

Morning Star: Daily Astrology for the week of November 21 to November 25, 2016

Overview

On the whole, the week looks fairly Mercurian to me. Mercury is a busy body as he sextiles Jupiter, then bumps into Saturn and finally trines Uranus. I've a feeling folks are going to become increasingly vocal and more than a little self-righteous. Yes. I know. We've had this for awhile. But, what I'm saying is that the volume is likely to increase (Mercury sextile Jupiter), as well as the policing of what is said (Mercury conjunct Saturn) and the audacity to say it anyway (Mercury trine Uranus). This is compounded by the fact that Jupiter will also square Pluto this week. This aspect packs self-righteousness for sure. Right to the death, it is. It also has the potential to bring forcefulness.
At this point, to me, things feel quite angst riddled. This week the vocal tone raises as do the consequences for the choices one makes in regard to how they express themselves.
There are ways to use this energy effectively. But, anyone who has ever delved into effective communication knows, it is hard to exchange and discuss ideas in an effort to meet resolution in the midst of a shouting match. If, in fact, you have to scream to be heard; then, the bare essentials within the dynamic of effective communication is broken.

Meanwhile, our benefit (Jupiter) lies in Libra. To look at this placement in isolation, it is unbiased, open to discussion, gives everyone their fair turn on the floor and weighs and measures facts against more emotional appeals. It bears in mind the importance of trusted connections and worthy allies. It is honest in relationships and treats others with kindness, generosity while also expressing gratitude liberally. Unfortunately, though, this week our benefit is over-shadowed by Pluto in square. What this means is Jupiter's spotlight is falling upon the shadows within Capricorn. We are likely to not only see the shadow side of Libra but also the dark side of Capricorn.
Our other “benefic” planet, Venus, is with Pluto in Capricorn this week. That placement (Venus in Capricorn) taken in isolation is mature love and grown up values. Venus in Capricorn honors responsibility and integrity. She admires fortitude and is a gentle benevolent leader. As she is conjunct Pluto and square Jupiter this week (soon, I might add, to square Uranus), what she has the opportunity to do is negotiate between the Gods. It won't be something she has chosen to do. It won't be something she will likely enjoy doing. And, we could very well see her patience tried and tested as she is tempted and seduced toward the “darker” natures herself.
So. Instead of the progressive verbal discourse that we need, what we are likely to see is a metaphorical battle between the Gods that can only be assuaged by the more positive powers of Venus in Capricorn and Mercury in Sagittarius. The collective will be talking, regardless if they are making their point or engaging in actual communication---telling it like it is (Mercury sextile Jupiter). Some of us will likely be called on the carpet for what we've said (Mercury conjunct Saturn). While others vehemently and adamantly hold to and demand their right to say it (Mercury trine Uranus).

How to stir the pot (mix the energies)

We could just as easily USE this energy, though, in ways that make positive differences. Instead of just talking, we leave room for listening. Instead of just using our voices to make loud obnoxious noises, we sing. We pray. Instead of fearfully staying in our homes and avoiding others, we reach out and make connections. Bravely walk out your door and spread good cheer and charity. Hey, if Tiny Tim can do it, so can you. We stop arguing over right and wrong and just do right. Right where we are. In our homes. In our schools. In our jobs. With our families. With our neighbors. Wherever you can make the most impact with your warmth, do so. You defeat darkness with light. You defeat hate with love.

It may help to remember the key words of these planets that are being influenced by Pluto (including Pluto himself). For Jupiter, we have benevolence, humility, generosity, gratitude, charity and joy. For Venus, we have love, admiration, adoration, partnership and comfort. For Pluto, we have rebirth, reform, power, survival, intimacy and endurance. Those are the more positive key words. Now, lets mix them together in more beneficial ways in an effort to get cues in regard to how we can positively mete out this energy. For Venus square Jupiter, an abundance of generosity, mature gentle leadership that brings people together, an appreciation for fairness and equality in leadership, charitable acts based in humility and joy stemming from the qualities of personal integrity and fortitude. For Venus conjunct Pluto, the undue power of mature and responsible love. Return on investment potential. Appreciation for the gentle and appropriate use of power by leadership which maintains a genuine concern for its people. Survival through caring. Simply, the true power of enduring and undying love. For Jupiter square Pluto, open discourse between people of power. Fair negotiations in regard to proper uses of power. Meetings between those in leadership positions bent on open discussions that lead to the positive reformation of governing and business factions. Benevolence and honesty. Extreme acts of generosity and benevolence. Self-replenishing joy. Humility and grace in the face of darkness and oppression.
Now, as for what is happening with Mercury. As we know, Mercury in Sagittarius at it's lowest is a preaching know-it-all loud mouth. However, at his highest, he is very wise, quite well-educated and holds himself to standards that are set forth through his philosophical or spiritual belief system. At his highest, he is open to new ideas and doesn't just grab the nearest podium and start demanding that everyone else on the planet has it all wrong. He does not discriminate. He is open, generous and inclusive in his speech. He doesn't need to shout. The truth doesn't need to be shouted; it just needs to be spread. He is mindful of his audience and keeps his teaching on point and with purpose. While Mercury is in Sagittarius messages travel. Sometimes like wildfire. So, it's probably a good idea to make sure you know what you are talking about and mean exactly what you say and/or publish.
You are free to speak your truth. You are also free to bear the consequences of such. There have been plenty of stories in the past week of folks losing their jobs or being run out of their positions for saying/doing unthoughtful and inflammatory things. I suspect we will hear more of that in our week to come. I, also, am by no means, telling you to keep your mouth shut. Definitely not. What I am saying is make it count. Make it worth it. Make it true and make it inclusive not exclusive in an effort to unify and educate instead of deepening the crevice in the divide. Speak with gentleness, humility, grace and kindness. Don't be the madman frothing at the mouth screaming. Once you allow the circumstances of the situation to drive you to that point; then, what you have to say falls on skeptical and deafened ears. Your credibility is shot and your effectiveness unfurls. Don't be the person who tries to reason with a madman either. A conversation cannot be had when folks are merely screaming over top one another. Don't waste your precious time or energy on that. Know where the power of your inclusive and truthful words will make the most impact. If you feel that place is social media, then fine. But, I encourage you also to have these open discussions with your neighbors, your friends...taking all this outside the political arena and bringing it back down to grass roots efforts at kindness, charity, sharing of information and group education. Don't just talk about what we need to do to make this world a more peaceful and gentle place. Get to doing it. Make it real. Remember that you, as an individual, have power. You have power in your choices. Power in your ability to effectively communicate. Power in the use of your money. And, power by way of your access to information.

There is power in grace and humility. There is power in compassion and fortitude. There is power in numbers and inclusiveness. Though, this is not paraded power. This is thoughtful power that cares about the impact of its usage upon others. It will be very tempting at times to be drug down by the weight of this week. By some of the things we read/see. What's going to help you feel better is leaning into that which gives you joy and sharing that self-fostered joy abundantly. Stand your ground and keep gently spreading and disseminating support and encouragement for others. Be the gentle and fair leader. Be the one who doesn't allow the news or other publishing entity to dictate their reality or priority. Dismiss yourself from the rhetoric and use the power of your choices, words and your wisdom liberally. It doesn't have to be loud. It just needs to be effective, generous and truthful.
Now, here we go. Step by step and day by day through the week ahead.

Monday, November 21, 2017

This morning, the Moon is Void in Leo for about an hour following the perfection of the Last Quarter Moon at 29 degrees of Leo and Scorpio at 3:34 AM. The Moon enters Virgo swiftly at 4:35 AM. Then, at 4:23 PM, the Sun shifts into Sagittarius.
The day is quite uneventful for the most part. Folks are trying to lighten up; but, many are tired, emotional and just feel wrung out to dry. The Virgo Moon perfects in opposition to Neptune at 10:08 PM and gently ushers us to bed. We snuggle in deeply as the Moon finds Venus by trine later into the night (3:36 AM).
For the most part, the day toils on as our Sun switches signs bringing a different emphasis upon how we choose to exert ourselves. We move from dark and brooding, quiet and lurking in the corner, Scorpio to something a little brighter and a little more optimistic for a bit in Sagittarius. However, emotions remain a factor quietly within the day itself due the waxing opposition of the Moon in Virgo to Neptune.

The Moon is now waning and releasing. This week is excellent for efforts aimed at decluttering and finishing up outstanding business or projects. It's good for reverting inward and seeking personal solutions while also adhering to practices of energetic clearing and personal detox. The Moon is in the sign of Virgo whose principles can be found in the Hermit card. There is a lot of chaos out there. It may be a good time to retreat and get quiet in an effort to hear your own truth. Shelter yourself and pay attention to what truly matters to you rather than constantly exposing yourself to being told what should matter.
Tonight, the opportunity at sound rest is present. Take advantage of that. We could all use it.

Tuesday, November 22, 2016

This morning we wake from the graceful trine with the Moon to Venus to a grating square between the Moon and Mercury in Sagittarius (9:32 AM). Yes, we isolated ourselves. Withdrew into solitude. But, now, we can hear the screaming in the streets. It's disruptive and catalyzes angst. It's hard to put how we feel into words. Emotion and thought meet with discord.
From this noisy square the Moon moves toward an empowering trine with Pluto (10:38 AM). Focus is regained as the distractions wane and we bury into the work ahead of us.
By noon, we stare down the path ahead and sigh as we realize how far it is we still have left to go. The Moon squares Saturn in Sagittarius at 12:42 PM. If the ultimate end goal is worth it, it's distance away from us becomes less important. We shoulder the burden and burrow back in realizing every single inch of progress counts and matters. This aspect is cumbersome and potentially depressing. But, it is a fleeting mood that we can push through.

As the square between Saturn and the Moon perfects, Mercury is also waxing toward Jupiter. At it's highest this is deliberately fostering a more optimistic point of view. It is informative, truthful, inclusive and can even be celebratory. At it's lowest...it's just loud and preachy. Remember, the truth doesn't have to be loud. It doesn't have to be screamed. It just has to be spread. Though, do expect the volume to increase under this aspect. Check yourself. Is it wise? Is it truthful? Is it helpful and informative? Is it inclusive and generous? And, I encourage you to do this assessment since by this time tomorrow, Mercury (the things you say) meets with Saturn's consequences by conjunction. Think about what you are saying and realize the potential blow back that may follow your words. We are looking to be effective here...not just stir the pot or put our ignorance on display. Though, the latter has great potential. Use this aspect to re-align your perspective. Be nice to others for no reason. Be nice to yourself and in the ways in which you speak to yourself. Allow yourself to pinpoint the promise more than you linger on the perceived threats. Expect plenty of impromptu speeches. Use the power of Virgo to separate what is true versus mere rhetoric. You'll be able to tell the difference in your gut.

At 8:22 PM, the Moon opposes Chiron in Pisces and reaches Void status. She remains Void until entering Libra tomorrow at 2:43 PM. There is plenty of time for all of “this” to resonate within the emotional body.

Wednesday, November 23, 2016

This morning, the Moon is Void in Virgo. Prior to her movement into Libra, Mercury finds Saturn by conjunction (1:44 PM). This is where consequences are dealt. Truth is discovered. Decisions are made. And, thoughts turn serious and become very goal oriented. Be aware of the power of your words. Be aware of the power of your thoughts. Be responsible for both.

After the Moon clicks into Libra, she begins waxing into sextile with the Sun in Sagittarius (6:56 PM). This, is a bright spot. A light airy but warm spot where we can reach a point of understanding and togetherness if we try. Apologies and thank you's can be exchanged here. The tone is serious. But, the thoughtfulness is likely sincere.
This energy carries us through our evening hours of today. It's good for light celebrations. Gatherings of friends and family. Just know that many will likely be walking on verbal eggshells. Afraid of what they can say to whom and about what. It's a good night to lay down the sword and just enjoy good company.

Thursday, November 24, 2016

This morning the Moon is still rather light as she moves through Libra. By midday, she meets a motivating sextile with Mars in Aquarius. This is very supportive of socially minded gatherings, charitable efforts, circles of friends and acquaintances in an amicable way. Decorum is, of course, called for with the Moon in Libra. But, sometimes, a little decorum can be nice. What's important is both the Moon and Mars in Aquarius at their highest works to bring folks together more than drive them apart.
But, you know, what's an American Holiday without an elephant in the room, right? We get everyone together. We eat a nice meal and then the Gods decide to officially declare war. Jupiter officially squares off with Pluto at 5:31 PM. Of course, this energy has been building all week. But, the fun part of it is, today, it comes home to roost right next to your turkey because the Moon and Venus both decide to get involved.

At 9:23 PM our demure Libra Moon is in square to her current ruler, Venus in Capricorn. Then, the Moon squares off with Pluto (10:17 PM) as she also conjuncts Jupiter (10:21 PM). Within the mix of all these energies coming in at once, decorum dies. Manners go...swoop...out the window and no one is comfortable with it at all. The light is going to be awfully bright to offset the shadows creeping out of the corners. With this mixture in play, there is nothing considered “out of bounds” or “off limits” in regard to how low a person can go with their ugliness. However, the same energy that creates this type of atmosphere can also be used to bring ease to the situation. It's much easier, though, to dive to “ugly's” level and wallow with it. So, meting this energy out positively calls for patience, diligence and a genuine concern toward your fellow person or groups of persons.
At any rate, tonight's mood (while the event was built with good intentions) is trying. Smaller and more private gatherings are probably better than huge obnoxious parties or affairs. Use the energy to share your wealth. Volunteer. Donate excess. Make a solid reprieve for welcomed, trusted and true relationships. Give yourself plenty of space to breathe if you need it. And, don't pressure yourself into thinking everything has to be perfect.
At just around midnight, the mood has a chance to settle a bit as the Moon waxes into sextile with Jupiter in Libra. The meat and later evening of the day can be tedious territory. But, if you can grin and bear it, you'll feel better for it when you lay your head down to sleep. Whereas, if you allow yourself to fall prey to the forcefulness of this energy; then, you may lay down with regret.

Friday, November 25, 2016

I personally think it's rather interesting that Venus is conjunct Pluto (6:47 AM) on this consumer based holiday of Black Friday. There is wonderful opportunity to go into debt here. However, there is also wonderful opportunity to invest in things that really matter. Things that will grow exponentially and return an equal amount of wealth in exchange for the care you put into it. Intimacy has a chance to deepen and grow under this aspect. So does the chance to run into old lovers and past romances as you are out grabbing up holiday deals. This, indeed, is a shopping day for the ghosts of Christmas past.
Yet, there will also be snake charmers. Looking to hypnotize you into giving away your hard earned wealth. Be mindful of where your valuables are. Where your money is and who you are giving it to. Make sure you are getting what you paid for and they are truly selling what they say they are selling. With the Moon sextile Mercury in Sagittarius, the salesman will have a certain amount of verbal charm. So, yeah, there's that.

However, investment power is yours as well as the ability to charm. Moon in Libra sextile Mercury in Jupiter (5:29 AM) is mannerly, joyful, nice and complimentary. Venus in Pluto has spending power and knows how to use it. You can make amends here and strengthen worthy connections. You can deepen intimate relationships and open the door to honest communication within those relationships. You can do that at the mall or in your living room. Location matters very little.

Morning Star: Daily Astrology for the Week of November 14 to November 20, 2016

Monday, November 14, 2016

This morning, we wake up the Full Moon in Taurus officially perfecting at 8:53 AM. Following this opposition, the Moon is Void until entering Gemini at 8:24 PM. So, the * POP * occurs; then, the echoes of that reverberate through the day. I think the perfection of the Full Moon will bring some relief. Last week was fairly wild. And, that wildness seems to be ongoing as the Moon kept growing and growing, finally resulting in the Super Full Moon we saw rising last night. Now, essentially what a Super Full Moon means is that the Moon is positioned at it's closest point to the Earth in it's orbit called perigee. The term “Super Moon” was coined by an Astrologer not an Astronomer.

It does seem as if every time we turned around this year there was one BIG IMPORTANT LUNAR EVENT after another. To the point of exhaustion almost. Of course, I follow the Moon and think that all her movements are significant. However, this particular full moon IS very close to Earth. If the sky is clear Luna will be beaming quite brightly. It will likely be a beautiful sight to see; but, not so conducive of also being able to see the Leonid meteor shower...which is quite unfortunate. But, yet, there is still plenty sparkling in the sky to see. The meteor shower peaks on the 17th as the Moon is waning. So, there may still be chance to see or wish upon a shooting star or two as the week moves forward. I merely think that aside from looking at our ephemeris and charts, that it is important to also go outside and actually LOOK at the sky. I think it's pretty amazing not to mention grounding and humbling. Laying in my own yard as a youngster is what kick started my love of Astrology and Astronomy (yes, you can love and respect them both). At any rate, real time observation is just as important as speculation, in my opinion. It only deepens your connection to what is happening all around you. We need to take time to acknowledge our connectedness to the Universe particularly in times that feel so divisive.

The Sabian Symbols for this Full Moon read as follows:

THE SUN AT 23 SCORPIO: Placid white rabbit metamorphoses into a dancing elf. Revelation of unexpected vital urges latent in all beings. Great creative potentialities. Capacity for self-maintenance.

THE MOON AT 23 TAURUS: A jewelry shop filled with the most magnificent jewels. Abundance of permanent spiritual values; or social display of traditional racial achievements. Profusion of inner gifts.

To me, it feels kind of crazy to consider that we only have one more Full Moon in the calendar year 2016. But, it's true. The last one comes on December 13th, the Full Moon in Gemini. The Full Moon in Cancer occurs in January of 2017.
This Full Moon creates a Fixed t-square with Pallas in Aquarius. The t-square, of course, finds outlet in Leo. What it offers is a chance at release, grounding and assessment of priority and value. It also offers us a chance to assess the current groups and circles of friends we are associated with to discern if all still aligns with our core agenda and values due the t-square with Pallas.
Pallas in Aquarius is HIGHLY intelligent. Both, the asteroid and the sign, are known for higher minded abilities. Yet, this is not really a huggy lovey thing. It is very clear. Quite detached. Yet, does collaborate with like-minded folks in groups and alliances making this a wonderful opportunity to assess your connections in that regard. Are you able to be you (Leo) in these groups and still find acceptance? Does the mindset of the group or the agenda of the collection of folks still align with what you (Leo) believe in? Do you feel connected here or do you feel as if you are set apart? All these are up for re-consideration. If you feel it is time to exit a group or collaborative effort, it doesn't have to be made personal. However, if you continue in these groups that you feel no longer seem aligned with you or feel as if you have to hide or squirrel away parts of yourself then that becomes a self-compromise that in the end does effect the work you intend to do within that group and the work the group does itself. So, it's not personal per se; but, it does bear individual impact thus becoming an assessment important enough to lend a moment or two of your time.

We've plenty of time to assess all this under the Void Moon that covers most of our day. As the Moon enters Gemini, she begins waxing into square with Mercury in Sagittarius (2:56 AM). There is plenty of room for philosophy and discussion. There is certainly more than enough to think about. That “busy brain” feeling could indeed lead into another night of restless sleep. So, as hard as it may be, I again suggest limiting the amount of external mental stimulation to which you are exposing yourself. Rest is very important. Collectively we are on edge enough without just looking for something else to stir us up. We need our sleep in order to make well-balanced decisions and remain healthy. Definitely be mindful of that.
At 3:26 AM the Moon is in a windy trine with Mars in Aquarius. Again, not exactly a settle in and rest type of aspect; but, white noise machines or even a fan blowing may help to soothe you into sleep. None of this is likely to totally offset matters of grogginess tomorrow, though. The Moon does square Neptune tomorrow at 10:54 AM bringing the grog, fog and potential increase in emotionality. That fact alone makes getting rested as much as you can tonight even more important.

Tuesday, November 15, 2016

Today is largely about Mercury and Mars. The Moon is in Gemini having entered the sign last night. She aspected both Mercury and Mars through the night giving us a sense of impending brain spin. That spin is due to occur under today's sky as Mercury in Sagittarius and Mars in Aquarius officially meet via sextile at 12:23 PM. This follows the Lunar square with Neptune at 10:54 AM. We may be emotionally weary and while the sextile between Mars and Mercury is not harsh or forced, it is busy. Have you ever ingested so much caffeine in an effort to wake up that your brain feels totally wired but your body is about to fall over at any minute? Yeah. It can be a lot like that. However, it can also show us in times of emotional weariness and misdirection, there are beacons of truth and support that can be found. After the assessment made at yesterday morning's Full Moon, we should know exactly which shoulders we can lean on if needed. Also, which ears we can trustfully bend in an effort to air our grievances or talk through how we feel and meet with acceptance and support. There ARE voices of reason out there in this chaotic world. Seek them out and realize you will know them because they help you feel better not worse.

Emotional boundaries, though, are of great importance as the Moon squares Neptune. Many may feel emotionally wrung out and may simply need some time alone to recuperate. Don't neglect that if it is needed on a personal level. Do know there are plenty who are not interested in spreading fear and hate even if they seem to be getting drowned by all the more dramatic speeches.
At 6:36 PM the Moon's affect brightens a bit due a windy trine with Jupiter in Libra. We can feel better here. But, Jupiter does expand. Bear in mind perspective, scaling back if need be in regard to emotions that may become over-blown due to over-stimulation or fatigue.
By 9:35 PM the brief optimism brought forth by the Moon/Jupiter trine gets squashed a bit as the Moon opposes Saturn in Sagittarius. The voices die down. You are left alone to contemplate things on your own which can bring forth depression or even a feeling of oppression. Yet it is wonderful for emotional boundary efforts. Feel free to limit your exposure and be diligent about adhering to your deepest emotional needs here.

Overall it is a back and forth kind of day. Gemini at it's lowest is fickle switching moods as the wind blows. But, at it's highest she tries to bring reason to the emotional body and enjoys being able to talk about how she feels. She is curious and light for the most part. But, in days in which she has to deal with both Neptune and Jupiter during a catalyzed brain spin coming from Mars/Mercury, it can be downright exhausting...talking until your throat is sore and your brain is numb. Which, in some instances, that may be exactly what we need. To feel heard. To finally just let it all out (how we feel) into the open air in attempt to make sense of it all. Just know there will be a lot of that going around today and much of it will be emotionally flavored. Many will likely be quite exhausted word-weary by nightfall. Your individual Mercury and Moon placement becomes important here. For example, I have Moon in Pisces and Mercury in Scorpio. I may not be involved in the discourse. But, I assure you, I will be listening, yet, subsequently dismissing myself from the entirety of the thing when it starts to feel like “too much” and, surely, at times it will feel like that to more folks than just me.

Wednesday, November 16, 2016

This morning the Moon still resides in Gemini. She met Chiron by square early (5:59 AM) which may have pushed buttons and tripped emotional triggers. What we say and how we discuss certain topics could be influenced by personal bias, pain, fatigue, sickness and/or ignorance/misunderstanding. It is good to be aware of that. Lean astutely into effective coping mechanisms.
By 5:59 AM the Moon is sextile Uranus which lightens the mood quite a bit. There is potential to gain emotional wisdom/intelligence here and even foster a bit of hope within that process. A bright spot. At it's lowest, it can feel anxious. Uranus has a tendency to pack that too. But, if you've kept your boundaries strong and dismissed yourself when needed to repair and recuperate; then, the chances toward anxiety are lessened helping you to better be able to engage in the high end of this energy.
Following the sextile with Uranus, the Moon is Void until entering Cancer at 7:58 PM. Take advantage of the lessened emotional impact and allow yourself to detach a bit. Tie up loose ends and finish projects. Or, just relax. No crime in that.

As the Moon clicks over to Cancer, her home territory, emotions become something to contend with once again. Emotional awareness and knowing how to self-nurture and support others without smothering or expectation is highlighted. We seek the comforts of home and deliberately fostering that nurtured and well-protected feeling is greatly accentuated. Gather you ducklings for a good wholesome home cooked something and offer yourself reprieve in the comfort of your shell tonight.

Thursday, November 17, 2016

This morning there is a tug of war between “want” and “need” as the Moon in Cancer opposes Venus in Capricorn. Many will be emotionally inclined to want to stay in their shells but Venus is telling us to heed our responsibilities. Well. I'll tell you something. Your FIRST responsibility needs to be directed at self-care. If you are not well then your work in the end will suffer. Sometimes Capricorn planets need to be reminded of such. Taking care of yourself is just as much of a job as meeting deadlines and being productive. Balance the opposition out; feed your Moon and focus on need before you worry about ambition. Not that Venus is typically ambitious anyway. But, in Capricorn she does appreciate an honest days work and relishes in well earned accomplishments. Self-care counts as work. Otherwise, balance inner work with outer work and this opposition becomes much easier to finagle.

At 11:05 AM the Cancer Moon meets Neptune by watery trine encouraging us to go with the flow. Venus, too, will soon be encouraging us toward the same as she waxes into sextile with Neptune which perfects on the 19th.
Cardinal Moons, at times, are bent on control. Here, under this water trine, we are encouraged to let go of the need to control what is happening and float where the seas may lead us. Sure, that's tough...especially with Mars and the Sun in fixed signs. Even Venus in Capricorn can be fixed in schedule and control. But, the ability to “go with it” has it's place just as much as regimented routine. Today is the proper “place” for flow moreso than force.
By 7:51 PM the Cancer Moon squares Jupiter in Libra. Remember, Jupiter expands. So if you have pushed yourself too hard throughout the day that feeling becomes exacerbated. If the “feels” become too much, call a time out. (Seems as if I've said that a lot in this week). Remember our benefit right now falls in Libra (Jupiter) and Capricorn (Venus). Making and upholding trusted and true connections is important. Though, many are dead set toward burning bridges. I'd worry less with disconnect and worry more about where we feel true connection and support. But, that's just me. I've also burned a few bridges in my time so if you assess that as needed I'm not the one to try and stop you. Just don't make a permanent decision based on a temporary emotional flare...that's all.

At 9:40 PM the Moon opposes Pluto in Capricorn and here comes that nasty desire toward control again. At it's lowest this aspect is insidious, quite frankly. Emotionally manipulative. It uses guilt as a weapon and what you care about is sometimes hit with veiled threats. The better use of this energy comes by way of emotional purge and astute awareness of one's own shadow along with acknowledgment of why we may feel so compelled to cling or control. With an opposition, too, there is very often a stand off between energies. Meaning, we may actually encounter friction from the outside world or even meet with potential of invasion on the home front. Step up protective measures if need be but know when it comes to controlling emotions the only person you have reign over is you. This aspect can also breed paranoia and fear. These are things that must also be dealt with on a personal level. Do you want you need to do to care for yourself and to feel secure without allowing that to boil over into being bossy, manipulative, violent or demanding.
Also? Know that intuition is kicking with the Moon in Cancer also waxing in trine to Sun in Scorpio (perfects tomorrow at 5:03 PM). Unfortunately, some of this “impending sense of doom” kicked into high gear under Moon/Pluto may actually be relevant. Tomorrow is definitely a mixed bag of surprise and confusion. Address your fears appropriately.

Friday, November 18, 2016

As I begin to type this, I am already feeling the anxiety. Definitely not a good sign. Ok, let's look at this thing.
This morning we wake up to the Moon square revolutionary and potentially shocking Uranus in Aries at 7:10 AM. Yeah, that's enough to kick start the morning with anxiety. Couple that with the fact that Mercury is also waxing into square with Neptune in Pisces (11:04 AM) and what you end up with is upset and confusion. Routines/schedules are not likely to go as planned. That could make us anxious, sure. And, then in our rush, we are distracted due Mercury/Neptune which could lead us toward being accident prone. So, number one rule....SLOW DOWN. That will be the hard part. Because the morning starts off feeling rushed and quite unsettled. Breathe. Triage. Breathe.

I don't want to predict catastrophe. I don't LIKE to do that. But, I do see the potential for it today. I also see that potential coming through decorated with lies and skewing of information which only has the potential to make it feel worse. Now, this could be a globally impacting thing or merely a highly personal thing. Either way, it will draw upon your emotional intelligence, your ability to stay calm and cool in the face of uncertainty AND your ability to separate truth from fiction. I encourage you to draw no conclusions based on the supposed facts that may be presented to you today. Weigh and assess the information and put out fires where need be. But, don't expect any of it to make much sense “in the moment.” Again, deal with the anxiety. Breathe deliberately and slowly and remain VERY mindful of each step you take forward while being willing to slow down within that process. Rushing is your worst enemy today.

What is going to help, though, is this waxing trine between the Moon in Cancer and the Sun in Scorpio (5:03 PM). Again, the line of logic we are getting is unclear and the truth may, in fact, be blurred or veiled deliberately. Or there could even be a chance that the information given was confused. Ask for clarification if you feel that may be the case. But, if we remain settled and grounded this water trine points our intuitive body toward acknowledgment that something is askew. It may not lead us to answers. But, it can be trusted. Though intuition can be misinterpreted, it does not lie. If it feels “off” (even if you can't logically explain why to yourself or anyone else) chances SOMETHING IS OFF in some way. You should trust that feeling more than you trust what someone may say to you in regard to it. Overall, it is watery. It is not linear. And it's not likely to make much logical sense. Follow and heed your radar.
Following the trine with the Sun, the Moon reaches Void status until entering Leo at 10:15 PM tonight. The feeling of something being “off” rings like a dull gong. It's an unsettling day. Lean strongly into emotional wisdom, slow down and listen to what your intuitive body is telling you. Shelter and protect is job number one.

Saturday, November 19, 2016

The Moon's transition into Leo does help to dry up some of yesterday's watery feel. However, her first aspect is an ambiguous stand off with Mars in Aquarius. We may feel at odds with what is perceived as a collective movement or agenda. We may wonder how we fit into that plan or if it fits with us to begin with. There is friction between collective action and personal identity here. It makes me think of the potential for “mob mentality” in which you ditch what is “true to you” just because you were whipped up into a frenzy with the rest of the crowd. Don't jump on any band wagons. Remember to think and act for yourself and lend your efforts only to those groups that align with your core beliefs. It kind of hurts to say that. I think we should be drawing together instead of drawing lines. But, sometimes, the lines and boundaries are important. This is one of those times.

It's one thing to involve yourself in a passionate collective movement that desires to bring about change in an inclusive and positive way. It's entirely another to take to the streets and loot and pillage. Ok? It's one thing to peacefully protest or voice your opinions and totally another to be violent and severe. It's very important to resist becoming the ugly that we may see in the world right now. There will likely be raging and roaring this in this day. There could also be chance to truly participate in a positive inclusive forward moving push but you are going to have to be able to tell the difference between a positive collective movement and one that just whips you up and into something that is not conducive to your overall goals. Mercury is still in square to Neptune even if it is waning. Facts are foggy and truths are veiled or misconstrued. Please try to remember that. Violent mob mentality IS NOT the way we want to go here. Conscious efforts to bring positive and inclusive change into our world is the better expression of this energy. But, many will feel conflicted in the whole of that.

By 6:01 PM the opportunity for positive verbal discourse comes forward as the Moon in Leo meets Mercury in Sagittarius by trine. This is opportunity to clear the air and get your facts straight as long as you bear in mind the need for proper clarification due 1) remember Mercury waning in square to Neptune and 2) the Moon's inconjunct to Neptune as this aspect perfects. Public speeches are likely emotionally colored due these aspects. But, we also have the fact that Neptune at this very second is quivering in his station preparing to turn direct at 7:05 PM. So his energy is extremely prevalent.
To add to the prevalence of Neptune, Venus perfects in sextile with him just prior to his forward motion at 6:04 PM. I see a softening coming from leadership here. Which could be a good thing. Pleas for compassion, understanding and acceptance are likely to be heard. I wish I could tell you why. But, it seems as if this started picking up steam on Thursday evening and doesn't really stop rolling by today. It seems to start with the feeling of dread on Thursday that is followed the sudden unexpected punch in the gut and confusion that comes in on Friday. By today, we are still all trying to make sense of “it” whatever “it” happens to be.

At midnight, there is some reprieve to be found by way of a lunar trine to Jupiter in Libra right after midnight. Knowing who you can trust makes all the difference; because, there is going to be quite a bit that feels wonky and untrustworthy at the end of this week.
Emotions do have a chance to stabilize as the night moves forward and the Moon meets Saturn in Sagittarius by trine at 3:37 AM. Grounding is not only necessary but essential.

Sunday, November 20, 2016

This morning past events still linger in our awareness but we do feel a bit more stable due to last night's Moon/Saturn trine. Today, though, the Moon makes a different sort of trine that is less settled and more forward moving. She trines Uranus at 12:09 PM and it may be hard to tell the church bells from the ringing bells of freedom. No one wants to be tied down or feel trapped today. Many will deliberately wriggle free from restraint and routine. Being physically active within the day will help offset any chance at anxiety. It's a great day to volunteer in social causes. It's a great day to just break free from the pack and do your own thing. It's also a good time to surround yourself with members of your tribe. What it is NOT good for (not that I think any day is good for such) is telling folks what to do. We are called to declare our own emotional independence and, at the same time, work to increase our emotional intelligence. Helping where you can and feel drawn to help, again, is a wonderful expression of this energy.

This aspect carries us through the day. The next Lunar aspect comes by way of the Last Quarter Moon which perfects as the Moon in Leo squares the Sun in Scorpio at 3:34 AM. Try to remain flexible and not so singular in your thinking. Last Quarter Moons are for flushing out emotions and finishing up loose ends in preparation for the new incoming Lunar Cycle. This one just so happens to occur at the critical final degrees of each sign. A HUGE EMOTIONAL PURGE IS CALLED FOR AS WELL AS ATTEMPTS AT PERSONAL RECTIFICATION. So steer yourself toward that end. Following the perfection of the Last Quarter, the Moon is void until entering Virgo at 4:35 AM. Under that Virgo Moon, the Sun will switch signs and enter Sagittarius at 4:23 PM. This transition will allow a brief lightening before the Sun starts bouncing off Neptune and Saturn. Make the big emotional FLUSH and prepare to feel some ease as a result.
