This morning we wake up to
the Moon in Aries making her way to an early morning conjunction with
Uranus (7:48 AM) following a conjunction with Mercury in Virgo to
Jupiter (5:05 AM). My first thought in regard to this was, “Oh,
that looks combustible.” And, yes, it does. But, it can also
provide for optimism as we wake followed by a willingness to try
something new or break with routine. Or it could be that the morning
routine doesn't go as planned...which the latter mentality can help
to ease. Good humor is called for. Humility and an ability to laugh
at yourself. Take more time to get where you are going than usual to
accommodate for the potential of the unexpected. Following the
conjunction with Uranus, the Moon is void until entering Taurus at
5:20 PM. By the way, Mercury/Jupiter and Moon/Uranus is also good
energy for seeing an eye specialist...which is what I'll be doing
today. It's also good for discussing details and looking for brighter
ways to enter our future through collaborative and cooperative
efforts. Social welfare activities are highlighted as well as a round
table discussion of expert opinions.
By noon, the Sun has found
his way into Virgo calling a halt, officially, to Leo season. We are
now transitioning toward the harvest. The dog days of summer are
ending. Labor Day, the last official holiday of Summer in the U.S.,
is right around the corner. Signs of autumn will soon begin to
present. Aside from the changing seasons, collectively we are also in
a transitional period as we are now officially in eclipse season.
Many will be able to pinpoint distinct changes in their lives between
now and the Autumn Equinox at the end of September.
At 5:40 PM the Sun newly in
Virgo and the Moon newly in Taurus dance in a lovely grounded Earth
trine. This is wonderfully grounding and allows us to chunk out the
rest of the day easily and comfortably. This is followed by a slew of
minor aspects that color in the subtleties of our evening hours. The
Sun sesquisquare Pluto (personal depth), Mars sesquisquare Uranus (a
bit of restlessness), Moon sesquisquare Venus (yearning/hunger), Moon
inconjunct Mars and Saturn (a hesitation or resistance or
blockage)...a chain reaction of nuance that carries us all the way
into tomorrow morning. According to Linda Goodman, a sesquisquare
“often represents behaviors that are often stimulated by
subconscious longings.” So, in the settled feeling of this
afternoon, there is much stirring internally. Typically, minor
aspects such as these go by largely unnoticed. However, with so many
occurring in such a close time frame, you may feel these nuances
stirring in your gut and/or permeating the energy of your evening and
morning. Explore them.

This morning, the Taurus
Moon finishes the minor aspects she began yesterday. Following the
tandem inconjuncts to Mars and Saturn (who perfect in conjunction
tomorrow), she melts with Neptune via sextile (11:32 AM). This has a
relaxed and leisurely feel to it. Steady but comfortable. Some may
feel inclined toward an early evening nap. And, if you can manage
that, why not?
By 6:44 PM, the Moon is in a
rich trine to Pluto in Capricorn. Cravings run deep. Yearnings are
strong. It would be a good night for a decadent dessert after a
hearty meal.
The Mars/Saturn conjunction
finds us early in the morning. Tonight, however, we will likely feel
this energy waxing in strongly. Physical energy may feel heavy and
encumbered. People carry big burdens and responsibilities on their
shoulders. And, to be quite frank, Mars/Saturn is fucking harsh, man.
It's one of my least favorite transits ever. The secret to it though
is to navigate step by step with personal accountability and
responsibility in mind. We are leaving deeply embedded footprints
behind us. We will want to place them on purpose and be responsible
for our actions moving forward. Acting erratically and irresponsibly
is going to get us called on the carpet by someone. Happening in
Sagittarius, you could very well end up in court to hear the official
judgment. So, whatever you do, do it with consequence in mind. You
can build good consequence for yourself or get called out for the
irresponsible stuff you do. It's really up to you. It's going to feel
like you are wading through mud either way. Pace yourself and aim
true.

As I mentioned yesterday,
the Mars/Saturn conjunction perfects early this morning (7:27 AM).
Nothing like waking up with a couple of blocks of concrete on your
shoulders to carry around all day. For real, the morning feels heavy
and the path ahead seems very long and arduous. Ride it out. This
doesn't last forever. But, remain in a sense of accountability of
your actions in an effort to weather this leg of the trip out. Be
mindful of your obligations. Expect most folks to be grumpy and a
little dour today.
Shortly after the
Mars/Saturn conjunction, though, the Moon trines Venus in
Virgo...which is pretty nice. This allows us to assess the details of
our plans and perhaps even clear away a few blocks. Weeding and
pruning the weeds on the path ahead of us. Reaping a bit of reward
for efforts expended thus far and giving us this wonderful sense of
grounding. There is also an ability to foster an appreciation for the
simple everyday blessings and a sense of gratitude. This eases the
harshness of Mars/Saturn just a bit. But, we must remember, like
Jupiter, Venus doesn't operate in Virgo like she typically does.
Venus in Virgo is very practical and not overly adorned. She likes
clean, simple and useful. So, this aspect could be what prompts us to
buy the supplies or tools we need to finish our jobs. Or, it may just
help us relax into the mundane feeling of routine. Sometimes routine
is nice to fall into, you know? When things just chunk along as you
planned them too? Yeah, that can be nice.
By 9:22 AM, the Moon is
softened and poked a little by a sextile to Chiron. Then, in our
early evening, she finds Mercury (2:06 PM) then Jupiter (3:38 PM)
both by trine. Venus led us into routine and helped us latch on to
the mundane tasks ahead of us. These subsequent Earth trines help us
to plan the rest of our way out of the forest. We are pleased with
the small bits of progress we've made throughout the day. Even if our
steps seemed small and encumbered, they left solid progress behind
us. It was a tough job. But, you did it. Now, schedule and plan out
the rest of them. You got this.
Following the trine with
Mercury, the Moon is Void until entering Gemini at 7:40 PM. Latch on
to the grounded feeling of this afternoon and hold on tight. You are
going to need it to revert back to in the days that come.
By 10:12 PM, Venus is in
opposition to Chiron in Pisces. Ouch. There is a hollow ache there.
Possibly a trigger tripped. An uncertainty, perhaps...self-doubt or
criticism, even. Instead of picking yourself apart find the root of
your insecurity and care for that wound. Then, as our Last Quarter
Moon perfects just before midnight, let it go. Release the grip on
your fears and insecurities. Rest your weary and potentially
overworked brain. Let go...let go...let go..

The atmosphere is markedly
changed from the beginning of the week. Moon in Taurus can be grumpy
and stubborn, yes. But, at least it's fairly emotionally settled.
However, our Moon in Gemini is unpredictable due her incoming
interaction with all the other mutable planets. Today will call for
focus and flexibility.
At 12:30 PM the Moon is held
accountable under an opposition to Saturn that is quickly also
followed by an ambiguous opposition to Mars (1:35 PM). Keep your
target in your sites and hold steady. Remember where true North is
and stay diligent, responsible and steady on your path.
By 2:06 PM, the Moon squares
Neptune and you are really going to need that compass because the
path ahead of you fills with rain and fog. Slow down and move steady.
Expect that emotional waters may rise. Folks are sensitive and you
are more susceptible to the mood of your environment. Boundary up.
Stay hydrated. Don't drive further than your headlights can
illuminate. Again. Slow down.
Mars (as well as Saturn) is
waxing into this same square as Neptune. So keeping your sense of
direction might be difficult. However, you can always revert back to
the plan you drafted under Mercury/Jupiter to remind you of your next
step. Or, shelter yourself on the roadside until the storm passes.
The tiring and ambiguous square between Mars and Neptune that
threatens to wash away the road ahead of us through mudslide or flash
flood perfects at 2:57 AM. This is also an aspect that can bring
restless sleep or even nightmares. Be easy with yourself here and
remain flexible.
Friday, August 26, 2016
This morning, the slush and
uncertainty of Mars square Neptune burns off slowly. We are pretty
sluggish and may feel a bit like we are wading through mud this
morning. However, a midday sextile to Uranus from the Moon helps to
free us up a little. Tenacity and taking things slowly pays off. At
least emotionally we are likely to feel a bit better. We can see a
light at the end of the tunnel. Gods and Goddesses, help me. I hope
it's not a train.
At 4:12 PM, the Moon in
Gemini squares off with Venus in Virgo. We are dissatisfied with
ourselves to a degree. Not pleased with the progress we've made thus
far. Thinking we should be further ahead on this road than we are.
Easy now. You are lucky to still be on your path if that's where you
found yourself. Many are standing around in mud or got completely
washed away. Instead of picking yourself apart, note the things...no
matter how small...that you did right. Then, start clearing away
debris or fixing your tools so you can start hacking away again.
The tension between the
Mercury ruled signs of Virgo and Gemini continues as our night moves
forward. The answer? Sort it out. Start whittling down your enormous
task list by process of elimination. Is it really important that I do
this? Can this task be streamlined? Can I ask for help with this
chore? Prioritize putting things in order of importance and crossing
off the time wasters. Cut out distraction and needless detail in an
effort to regain focus and direction as the Moon squares off with
Jupiter at 6:10 PM and Mercury at 8:31 PM. And, keep that task list
and your timeline flexible. Again, this is eclipse season. The
unexpected is going to happen and your schedule needs to be bendable
enough to accommodate that. And, in times of flux, it pays to keep
reminding yourself of your direction, goals and priorities. Keep your
compass calibrated. With Mercury in shadow, too, we may have to
re-write our agenda more than once. It's alright. There are
alternative routes and potentially some doorways that open on those
detours that push us right through the portal we need to fall into.
Following the square with
Mercury, the Moon is Void until entering Cancer at 11:07 PM.
Saturday, August 27, 2016
This morning feels better
than the last few days. The Moon in Cancer meets the Sun in Virgo by
supportive sextile at 7:08 AM. This is a nice mixture of Earth and
Water. Moon in Cancer knows what it needs and the Sun in Virgo is
ready to go fetch it. Virgo and Cancer energy work wonderfully well
together. Virgo reaps the harvest and Cancer turns it into a table
set for a Queen.
The relaxed and easy feel
permeates into our evening as the Moon in Cancer relaxes with Neptune
in Pisces by trine at around 6 PM. Then, we are ready to lean into
practical creature comforts as Venus finds Jupiter by conjunction at
6:29 PM. Yes, children, it's time to relax and treat yourself. Float.
Indulge. Can't you make some cobbler out of the late summer berries
you picked earlier in the day? Sure you can. Delight in simple
pleasures and give yourself permission to relax.
Overnight the Moon opposes
Pluto in Capricorn (1:39 AM). Yes, you can sneak into the fridge for
a little late night snack. No one is watching. Go ahead. Don't be
afraid.
Sunday, August 28, 2016
The morning is largely
uneventful as the Moon moves away from her deep opposition with
Pluto. Her next aspect doesn't come until 5:42 PM this evening. Here
she meets with discomfort as she squares off with Uranus in Aries.
This aspect at it's lowest produces anxiety and carries the potential
for the unexpected. Remind yourself of your priorities. Detach from
overly fearful or swamping emotions and handle whatever needs to be
handled with a cool head and steady hand. Reduce the risk of anxiety
by cutting down on stimulants and sugar early in the day. Stay well
hydrated and eat solid not fluff.
Keeping your body well
centered and steady certainly pays off as the Moon finds Jupiter by
sextile (11:55 PM) and Venus by the same at 2:23 AM. Pull out your
agenda and adjust as necessary. But, remind yourself of where you are
going and why it is important. If priorities have changed, tweak your
plans to accommodate. This is supported by a lunar sextile to Mercury
at 2:24 AM. Following this sextile, the Moon is Void until entering
Leo 4:12 AM tomorrow. But, not before Venus catches Mercury and
passes him in Virgo at 2:33 AM. If the night sky is clear tonight,
you should be able to see Mars, Venus, Mercury and Jupiter glimmering
up there. If you squint or grab your binoculars, you may even have a
chance to glimpse Saturn.
Over the next few days the
sky shifts quite a bit. Venus slips into Libra tomorrow. Mercury
turns Rx on the 30th. And on September 1, not only are we
on the cusp of eclipse season, we are in it fully fledged. The last
few days of this waning Leo Moon should be spent on flushing out the
lunar cycle that is passing and getting ready to assess the
unexpected doors that swing open as the eclipse perfects. Get your
feet underneath you. Remember what it is you feel is important and
remind yourself of where you want to go. Then, look for the wormhole
that might...just might...magically drop you there. Realize, there
may also be a few pitfalls that look like opportunity too. You are
going to have to be on top of your game to be able to tell the
difference. So, yeah. Say a little prayer and get ready for all that;
because, ready or not! Here it comes!
