Morning Star: Astrology for the week of January 31 to February 6, 2016

Sunday, January 31, 2016

This morning, the Moon is awake in Scorpio after a very long VOC passage through the final degrees of Libra yesterday. Her first aspect is a trine to Neptune at 3:58 PM which could make most of the day rather unambitious. We are more prone to relax than to power forward.
This is reinforced by a sextile from the Moon to Venus at 7:08 PM. Overall, the energy is easy. But, under a Scorpio Moon emotions run deep. And, with the waxing square from Mercury to Uranus, our minds are likely still spinning a little regardless of how relaxed the physical body may be.
At 10:28 PM, our last quarter Moon perfects between The Sun in Aquarius and Moon in Scorpio prompting us to recognize where changes need to be made in our lives and subsequently relinquishing our grip on the status quo. With that, there may be mourning, fear, and a feeling of being a bit out of control. All these can be agitating to our deep feeling Moon. But, the Aquarian Sun just beams it's icy glare and matter of factly says, “It is what it is.” As our earlier aspects from the Moon to Venus and Neptune encourage us to forgive, accept and let go.

The square from Mercury in Capricorn to Uranus in Aries occurs at 10:41 PM at 17 degrees Cardinal. This can equate to a sharp battles of tongues, nervousness, a tendency to be clumsy and accident prone. And, occurring between Cardinal signs, it is no light matter. Both entities believe they should be in control of the situation. Uranus in Aries is hell bent on revolt, revolution and change. But, Mercury in Capricorn is shouting at him to remember that even though change may be a good idea, we must also be mindful of our responsibilities and aware of how these changes (especially if made impulsively) affect the overall business of our lives. Whether this intellectual battle occurs within you or manifests in external conflict, the best advice I can give is to rise above any type of conflict that, in the end, isn't going to be resolved with a cutting come back. Wait out the catalyzing emotions and deal with them appropriately before you make a decision That way, your brain is clear, centered and better able to make the most effective decision instead of being poked and prodded until it merely reacts. Engage your higher intelligence instead of just popping off your shotgun mouth. As a peace-keeping Libra, that is my advice anyway. But, if you are in a situation where you need to verbally eviscerate someone, then...here you go. I just feel it's more effective to play smart than impulsive.
Let me give you an example of reacting impulsively and reacting smartly. Let's say you have a group of employees whose boss is abusive and has just laid the final straw on their tolerance camel. That camel's back broke in two. So, in a lull moment, one employee suggests, “You know, we should just walk out and leave him high and dry. What would he do then?” But, another employee responds with, “Why would you want to walk out now? We are not busy. I'd plan an mass exodus waaay in advance. I'd schedule about 50 people in the same time slot about a week from now..after all the dust has settled and this is forgotten. Then, when those 50 customers came trickling in..that's when I'd stand up and wave to surveillance cameras and blow a kiss bye bye. I mean, if you are going to to do it...go big or go home. Right? Plus, that leaves us all room to research a new job making sure our financial situation is taken care of before we go lighting fuses and end up causing collateral damage that affects us directly.” The impulse is to just make a swift and rebellious decision. The smart decision is to slow things down a little. Make an effective plan. Ensure your own protection and then follow through.
Of course the latter suggestion does carry an air of vindictiveness. The true “rise above” in that situation would be to decide that you no longer wanted to put up with your boss' abuse and, therefore, simply start looking for another job and leave after giving notice like a responsible adult while dismissing the call for smart assery and dramatics. That's the truly smart thing to do. But, what is life without a few flashbangs?

At any rate, I do encourage you to dismiss calls for vindictive acts of revenge. Instead, deal with your emotionally swirling body while you come up with a responsible plan to become more free and independent. There are sparks of brilliance that do come from Mercury/Uranus and they don't have to include plans for destruction. There are other options. Let the seething and tendency to self-punishment go and do what you need to do. Make intelligent decisions instead of the impulsive ones that run the risk of usurping you in the end. That's going to call for emotional control and forbearance which is delivered, without question, through the higher expression of the Scorpio Moon in conflict with the Aquarian Sun. I'm not saying that rising above and opting for an intelligent response is going to be easy. Oh, HELL no. It's much easier to just blow the thing to smithereens and walk away in a cloud of smoldering smoke. But, that isn't the path that will serve you the best in the end. Wait it out until you are thinking more clearly; but, note the sparks of brilliance as they come. They could come in handy later.
None of this late evening energy is very conducive to a restful night's sleep. Start preparing yourself for that in our early evening by cutting down on stimulant intake and unplugging from stimulating electronic devices early. This will help the mental body to wind down a bit and hopefully allow us to get a little rest even if the mind is still racing a little as we lay our heads on our pillows.

Monday, February 1, 2016

This morning, the Moon in Scorpio is conjunct Mars and we are either driven to kick today's work in the ass or we are still seething over the harsh verbal exchanges of last night. Usually sleeping on something makes a person feel better in the light of a new morning. But, in this instance, we could very well wake up mad. We may have fixated on this argument letting it roll around in our brains all night robbing us of sleep and by the time the light of day comes, we are more angry than when we laid down with it.
Use your potential anger as motivation to get started on making those changes you need to make in your personal life. Don't go giving that energy away to someone who doesn't deserve the hit to your karma. Put your head down and do what you need to do, instead.

That “put your head down” and plow through energy is backed by a Lunar sextile to Pluto at 7:21 AM. We are likely hungry and need solid fuel to meet the energy demands of this day. So, don't skip breakfast. Do skip more sugary breakfast foods that will leave you feeling flat by noon in favor of protein that will support you evenly through the morning.
By 10:02 AM, the Moon is sextile Mercury allowing an internal collaboration to occur that colors our decision making with emotionality. This energy can be used to develop a plan to get what you need by making long-term decisions that support the changes we are dreaming of.
At midday, the Moon trines Chiron softening and calming us to a degree. The real reason why this situation has upset us so much bubbles up into our sphere. These emotions are likely held close to our chests as they involve personal details that we may not be willing to share. The knowledge is for us, not anyone else. Know that it can cause a bit of eye leakage and if you did act impulsively and blow things up in the most recent past, this is where remorse is going to find you.

By 7:36 PM, the Moon is sextile to Jupiter Rx in Virgo putting a spotlight on and expanding wherever we are emotionally. We could feel really good about holding ourselves at bay. Or, we could end up picking ourselves apart for allowing ourselves to be catalyzed into doing something we now regret. It depends. Wherever you are emotionally, grows under this sextile. This aspect also calls for us to be mindful of details and to lean into simplicity and practicality. It's easier to walk away than to violently take out all your enemies; because, then there's all the work of figuring out where you are going to hide the bodies and then digging the holes and...well, things just are more complicated down that road. So, keep it simple. If you need to apologize, don't hesitate...even if you owe that apology to yourself.
Following the sextile with Jupiter, the Moon is Void until entering Sagittarius tomorrow at 10:50 AM.

Tuesday, February 2, 2016

This morning, the Moon wakes up in Sagittarius at 10:50 AM. This does help lighten our mood a little. There are no major Lunar aspects in the meat of this day. However, the Moon does perfect in square to Neptune overnight at 3:25 AM. So, we may feel better in the early part of the day but as night creeps in it could bring tears. Or, it could simply bring a good night's sleep. Or both.
The Moon does make minor aspects to Pluto, Uranus and Mercury throughout the day. So, we haven't completely forgotten what has happened over the last few days. But, we aren't inclined to do much about it other than ponder.

Overall, I'd say the day goes rather smoothly with a lot of stuff going on for most folks under the surface...brewing. Take advantage of emotional break; we have a slew of busy and emotionally colored energy coming to our sphere tomorrow.

Wednesday, February 3, 2016

This morning we wake up under a waning Sagittarian Moon as Mars in Scorpio meets Pluto in Capricorn by sextile at 5:45 AM. There is tremendous power and endurance in this aspect that will help us move mountains if we need to. You can accomplish a lot in our early morning hours.
Our Solar body is calling for a hard days work as it hangs in sextile to Saturn in Sagittarius for most of the day, officially perfecting at 1:18 PM. Meanwhile, Mercury in Capricorn met Chiron in Pisces by sextile at 7:36 AM giving us an opportunity to come up with a plan to more effectively deal with our triggers, addictions, denied or numbed out pains. Remember, idle hands are the devil's workshop. Keep yourself busy.

By 2:31 PM the Moon is conjunct Saturn and sextile the Sun. We are sober and willing to create our own rules whether or not they adhere to the rules that are already established. We are ready for a change so that we can ditch some of the cumbersome loads we are carrying around on our shoulders. We are less likely to stay in oppressive and dominating situations and more inclined to strike out own our own toward more independence and freedom. So, if you are in one of those types of situations, this is the day in which you may decide to check out of it. Sagittarius does not like to be caged. Aquarius does not like to be told what to do especially when those directions are framed with, “this is what is expected of you and it's the way we've always done it.” No. Aquarius is ready to experiment with new methods that bust apart the debunk traditional ways of doing stuff. This is rebellious energy. But, it is responsible rebellious energy that has purpose. We aren't just bucking the rules because we feel like it. We are bucking because the rules that have outlived their effectiveness and it's time to change. It's that simple.

That call to experiment with new methods and to create a more independent structure that allows for more personal freedom is enhanced by a trine from the Moon to Uranus at 7:59 PM. Emotional intelligence increases and we try to be a bit more logical in our decision making without letting a momentary emotional situation cause to do something we may regret. Eyebrows are raised in observation and study in a rather Vulcan-like manner. We realize the decisions we make from here need to be well thought out and socially conscious. Networking or seeking the advice of an expert in some situations could provide us with additional information we need. We are definitely encouraged to pull out of the situation for a longer range view and to bear in mind the impact of our decisions on our future while assessing the potential for collateral damage.

Later tonight, the Moon squares off with Chiron, reminding us of where the “hurt” is...where the personal sickness lies. Address those needs appropriately.

Thursday, February 4, 2016

This morning the Moon is preparing to reach void status immediately after checking in with her current ruler, Jupiter in Virgo, by square at 5:04 AM. This aspect wants us to ask ourselves, “are our future plans simple enough to follow through with? Have we assessed all the details? Are we doing something that will serve us in the end or are we just making a needless mess.” We are reminded to keep things simple and practical without blowing everything all out of proportion.
Right now, we should be focused more on deconstructing instead of rebuilding just yet.

From here, the Moon is Void until entering Capricorn at 7:45 PM. There isn't much that goes down today aside from a bit of contemplation and a blessed break from high emotionality/sensitivity. However, I've named the aspects for tomorrow and Saturday as a “Royal Flush.” Now, in terms of poker, this is a really good hand to be dealt. But, that's not necessarily what I'm talking about.
Let me see if I can explain. The aspects over the next few days are numerous and powerful. The Moon, our emotional body, is directly involved in all of it. But, under a very, very dark Moon what we are being called to do is take charge in regard to what needs to be flushed out of our emotional body while flushing out anything that may be poisoning us or hindering us at the same time. For example, self-doubt...flush. Fear of what others may think...flush. Forsaking yourself and your needs, sacrificing yourself in situations that drain you instead of support you...flush. Bad habits such as poor eating, time wasting, beating yourself up for things you cannot change...flush. Negative/toxic attachment...flush. Let go. Detox. Call things to an end that need to be ended. And all this is done with the background knowledge of what is best for business...the business of your own life, that is. Spend today pontificating what needs to be flushed from your life. And, make plans to flush it away in the next few days. Take out the trash...which is an ironic statement to make since Thursdays are actually trash days in my neck of the woods. But, yeah, it's a lot like that.

Friday, February 5, 2016

This morning we may feel a little draggy, subdued or emotional due a sextile from the Moon in Capricorn to Neptune which perfects around lunchtime (11:25 AM). I personally like the mixture of Earth and Water via sextile. It is just grounded and creative enough to manifest something tangible. It also helps us deal with emotional waters without drowning. Wood floats and we are imbibed with a life preserver of sorts that will carry us safely down river.
Later tonight (and growing in intensity throughout the day) desire becomes a focal point as Venus finds Pluto by conjunction at 8:12 PM. Now, coming from the sign of Capricorn, this could very well be an obsessive desire for material possessions or even control over employees and loved ones. And, with the Moon entering this conjunction at 1:01 AM, it becomes an emotional affair. The best way to handle this aspect is to make wise and well calculated investments in your future. For example, if you run a business, this could be a good time to invest in an expensive piece of office equipment that will help your practice. It's is not a good time to go into debt over frivolous purchases. You are going to want to invest in something that will return dividends and feed your into your acquired wealth. Not rob you of necessary resource.

That holds true for matters of the heart too. Don't invest your heart in a toxic waste dump. Invest in what holds potential to support you back and that which has a chance to grow into intimacy. Know temptation will be high as this is a rather lusty and growling with craving aspect. Bear in mind your “bottom line” and the assess the impact upon your future.
From here, the Moon waxes into a square with Uranus at 2:52 AM. This is followed by a sextile to Mars at 3:22 AM...so sleep could be elusive, again, tonight. The mind is racing. The emotional body is a little nervous and anxious. And the physical body wants to freaking MOVE and do something about it right now! Chances are this will all subside at daybreak. So, hold steady and find something to occupy your brain and ease your anxiety instead of getting caught in a midnight doomsday thought loop. Again, let go more than you try to desperately hang on.

Saturday, February 6, 2016

The “royal flush” energy continues into our Saturday. But, now, we are prone to look toward practical solutions to whatever situation we are in instead of just stewing and torturing ourselves. The Moon finds Mercury in Capricorn at 10:40 AM. Then, she moves on to find grounded and practical “keep it simple” Jupiter in Virgo at 10:54 AM by trine. Mercury follows and enters this trine himself at 1:46 PM. We are called to make long term and supportive plans while being mindful of the details of such.

Meanwhile, the Sun finds Uranus by sextile at 11:39 PM and we are more prone to welcome and embark upon positive change rather than keep doing things the same old way that only serves to screw us up in the end. We are temporary pioneers, inventors, experimentalists and our methods are rather scientific and logical. We are ice. Cool. Even handed. Confident. Willing to strike out on our own and if we have a tribe that's willing to jump on our wagon, then great. If not, it doesn't matter because the wagon is moving anyway. It's time for change. It's time for hope to re-enter our sphere. It's time to finally cut the rope on the anchors we don't need so we can sail toward calmer waters.

That rope cutting comes rather matter-of-factly and without delay as Venus squares off with Uranus at 5:03 PM. Oppressive and abusive relationships are under threat of being completely severed under this sky. Controlling manipulative tactics are obvious and we are fed up with them. Patience flies out the window and our sword swings cutting negative attachment cords with purpose. Venus says, “fuck this shit.” In other words. And, hopefully, by the end of the day...after two days of royal flushing...we will be ready to declare a plan anew under Monday's New Moon in Aquarius.
The trine from Mercury to Jupiter, the sextile from the Sun to Uranus and the square from Venus to Uranus all occur under a Void Moon. So, it's all rather dispassionate. We can set our emotions aside for a moment and explore logical solutions to our current situations. It is what it is and this is what I'm going to do to change it or adapt to it or totally dismiss myself from it. Those are the types of things we are thinking. The Moon is Void until entering Aquarius at 1:00 AM. Once that shift occurs, it's time to take action and bring those pontificated plans into reality.

The heart, mind and ego run the risk of being battered this week. Truly, there is a lot going on in the sky. Note what needs to be changed. Decide what you are going to do about it and rise above any call to just go along to get along and instead, don't be afraid to set yourself apart from the crowd. There will be other outliers on the fringe trying to do similar. Buddy up with them if you need to and collaborate for ideas. But, realize, in the end, you are going to be the only one who can make the most effective decisions in regard to the business of your life.

Our New Moon is going to give us chance to launch these plans. Bear in mind we are aiming for a very fresh, very clean slate. However, immediately after it's perfection on the 8th the Moon is Void. So, I would encourage you to set your intentions early this month (After 1 AM on Sunday the 7th and prior to 9:40 AM on Monday.)
The Sabian for Monday's New Moon hints at incoming information that may help you make a more effective future decision. It reads as follows: SUN AND MOON AT 20 AQUARIUS: White dove circles overhead; descends, bearing a message. The blessing every effort by the “Holy Ghost” of revealed significance. Exaltation of all individual efforts. Celebrity.
When you trip over a realization of “Oooh, I never really thought of it like that before”...then know that is this New Moon talking to you and presenting you with a point of view you need before moving forward any further.

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of January 24 to January 30, 2016

Sunday, January 24, 2016

This morning, the Moon is still active following her blossom in Leo last night. Here, I got to see her beaming in a sparkling sky over top a blanket of snow. Gorgeous.
Today, though, our Leo Moon is a bit prickly and impatient. She meets with Mars in Scorpio by square at 11:12 AM. Ambiguous is the word I give this aspect and it is typically applicable. However, it also can pit what we want to do against what we are obligated to do or have us performing under emotional pressure. Mars is still moving tediously slow through Scorpio...wearing a bit of a groove behind him. However, he has not entered his retrograde shadow as of yet. This will occur when he crosses 23 degrees on February 18. We still have a few weeks to go.

All things Mercury, however, are likely going to be kicking up dust today and tomorrow. He stations direct on Monday. So, his energy is currently agitated and a little screwy. His third conjunction with Pluto occurs on the 29th bringing closure in whatever area he has been transiting in your chart. It is likely that a chapter finishes or a door slams shut in these areas. For example, my Dad was told he needed extensive dental work which would cost upward of $2000 at the beginning of this retrograde. I begged him to get a second opinion before jumping on that. He did. He ended up getting a more simple procedure at a much lower cost (from a local established dentist instead of the new sparkly chain dentistry place). His final follow up appointment is at the end of this week. See? A chapter closes. Life goes on and we are off to the next “thing.”
But, we can most likely experience some Mercurian “hiccups” over the next few days such as travel problems, wonky electronics, confused communications and the like. Take things slowly in this area and realize the untangling is on the way. I'm mentioning this now because the Lunar/Mars square is agitating, as I said. And, Mercury at a station point can certainly exacerbate agitation. Poor frustration tolerance is likely a thing.
At 3:26 PM, our emotional body does settle a bit and receives nice grounded support from a trine to Saturn in Sagittarius. From here, she waxes into a trine with Uranus at 9:52 PM. Saturn and Uranus are separated by 3 degrees in a fire trine right now. The Moon is going to drift through these degrees in our evening hours linking up these two power houses. This energy looks at rules and “social norms” as objectionable options. Which means, we see your rules and we may or may not follow them. Saturn trine Uranus is independently regulated. It doesn't just follow rules because they are there. It is a law unto itself and calls its own shots even if those “shots” don't align with what has always been deemed as acceptable. It is also not adherent to the status quo of “this is how things have always been done.” Saturn trine Uranus looks at that statement and says, “Well then, it's time we tried something new or downloaded an upgrade, don't you think?” IF it is inclined to be nice that's what it says. It might just pop off with “I'll do what I want; screw your rules. I'll decide what I can and can't do.” What this energy will do under an independent Aquarian Sun is make it really hard to bark directions at someone because they are going to buck it. So, yeah, don't be trying to boss folks around. But, what it will also do is give you license to do things differently, try new and uncharted ways of doing things. Dismiss being told “you can't do that” in favor of “you don't know until you try.” It is also going to bring undeniable intolerance to rules and societal norms that are lopsided and waaaaaay past their expiration date...which is a good thing, in my opinion. Understand, though, this is not “a rebel without a cause” energy. This is a rebel WITH a cause and with an end objective...there is a purpose behind the whole breaking the rules thing. That purpose is mainly colored by the belief that it's time for “these rules” to change or be dismissed entirely. I like this set up a whole lot says the lady with Uranus trine Saturn separated by 1 degree in Air in her natal chart. Break the status quo. Shatter that glass ceiling and don't trip over being told you “can't.” The proper response to “you can't” is “watch me.” Go get em, tiger.
Following the trine with Uranus, the Moon is Void until entering Virgo at 10:47 PM on Monday. Yes, that is a 13 hour VOC Moon. You read that right (and on a Monday, no less).

Monday, January 25, 2016

The Moon is Void in Leo for most of this day giving us quite the feeling of “meh” for most of the day. We hit a dull gong emotionally. No one is really emotionally reactive making this a good day to putter around tying up loose ends. However, we cannot forget that Mercury is still busy. He turns direct in Capricorn at 4:44 PM. I'm not really sure many are going to care about that until the Moon passes into Mercury ruled Virgo at 10:47 PM. Aside from having to deal with potential Mercurian misfires, this day passes in a rather blasé manner.

Tuesday, January 26, 2016

Today we move to from yesterday's dull gong into a rather active Lunar day. We start the morning off with a comfortable and stable Earth trine between the Moon in Virgo and Venus in Capricorn at 4:51 AM. We start off on good footing. However, by 2:53 PM, the Moon is in opposition to Neptune threatening to make things a little foggy, confusing or even emotionally washed out or tiring.
What happened? We had a solid agenda this morning but by early evening we are all washed up!

With this set up, I do recommend going with the flow. Yet, within this flow, we should be more inclined to be the observant beach rather than the waves themselves. Watch for what washes up on your shores. Watch for what is washed away or eroded. Don't draw any conclusions just yet. We are merely observing and noting the emotional impact. In case you haven't guessed, this isn't an activity that requires much action. Just stillness and observation. Practice catch and release. Acceptance and forgiveness. Boundaries up, though. You are likely to be quite emotionally permeable. Hallmark commercials could make you cry, for example. Be careful who and what you surround yourself with in the interest of your own well being...and that includes building proper boundary against physical illness. Wash your hands. Drink plenty of water (pop some Vitamin C while you are at it). Rest when you need it and reduce your exposure to germs if you can. If you need to call a time out in your life, do so.
By 11:13 PM the Moon is in a deep sextile with Mars in Scorpio and finds Saturn in Sagittarius shortly after by square at 1:34 AM. A bit of energy is restored in our later evening hours but that energy meets with sobriety and, potentially, depression (or dissatisfaction) overnight. Moon/Mars years for fulfillment but Saturn/Moon is a jerk sometimes demanding things like delayed gratification. Easy does it now. It's going to be ok. The calendar is just kind of drunk and gave us a Monday on a Tuesday. Take your disappointment to bed and get some rest. There is potential for the air to clear considerably in our tomorrow. Yeah. We are going to kick tomorrow's ass.

Wednesday, January 27, 2016

This morning we wake up to a sturdy Earth trine between the Moon in Virgo and, both, Mercury (4:11 PM) and Pluto in Capricorn (5:57 AM). Mercury is direct now and waxing into his third conjunction with Pluto in recent weeks. This occurs on the 29th. But the two are magnetically connected today and the Moon is going to give us a window of access to the energy. It's time to incorporate what we've learned from this retrograde and start making executive decisions in regard to our long-term futures...delineating one step at a time. Where do your plans need to be tweaked or adjusted? Stare into the bare bones of it all and decide while researching for possible ways to do so. We are a bit industrial under this aspect. All business. Not much fluff. However, traction is certainly accessible. Most of us have a pre-set agenda going into this day and are determined to not be knocked off track.

Here's the thing, though. As our day progresses, the Moon opposes Chiron (11:06 AM) and then meets Jupiter by conjunction (7:11 PM). There is a high chance in the morning for us to take ourselves way too seriously. We are busy bees buzzing around taking care of business. We could be so steeped in our business of taking care of business that we end up stubbing our toe on something under Moon/Chiron. Now, this can be as literal as actually stubbing your toe. Or, it could be that an emotional trigger is tripped and we fall on our faces due that. Either way, I encourage you to not take it more seriously than it truly is. Maintain your ability to laugh at yourself and ease up on the whole “do it now or die” thing. That's going to help swing the incoming Moon/Jupiter conjunction in a more positive way. Otherwise you run the risk of martyring yourself and blowing a situation way out of proportion. Humor, though, can ease the situation. Triage. Realize that “chironic” themed event happened to bring something into your awareness...a potential “weak spot” that will need to be shored up or a “thing” that trips us up all the time without us noticing it much. NOW we notice it. You can't fix what is broken if you don't know where the break is. You know? Accept and plan to deal with it more effectively in the future. Don't let it derail you.

Following the conjunction with Jupiter, the Moon is blessedly Void giving our emotional body a bit of a break until entering Libra at 10:00 AM tomorrow morning. Be sure you are not looking at the situation too closely. I mean, note the details, but know that Mercury waxing toward a Pluto conjunction can cause us to fixate or obsess a bit. Retain the ability to pan out for the bigger picture. Incorporate the eyesight of the Eagle zooming in and out when appropriate.

Thursday, January 28, 2016

This morning the Moon is Void in Virgo until entering Libra at 10 AM. The first aspect she makes is an uncomfortable square to Venus in Capricorn at 11:13 PM. Emotionally we are inclined to leisure and socialization. But, Venus in Capricorn is all business. Leisure ain't gonna come until you get these chores done, in other words. Take care of your responsibilities...yeah, I know you'd rather not. Stop procrastinating and putting it off. Put your head down and just get it done anyway. You can grumble about it all you want. But, in the end, you'll be more satisfied to have accomplished something.

Friday, January 29, 2016

Today the wind is at our backs in the morning with a trine from our Libra Moon to our Aquarian Sun at 3:56 AM. This is followed by a supportive sextile between the Moon and Saturn at 2:14 PM. There's plenty of room here for checking things off that ever growing to do list. There's also room for collaboration, negotiation and networking. Take advantage of that.
At 6:12 PM, the skies begin to darken a bit under a square from the Moon in Libra to both Pluto (6:27 PM) and Mercury (6:12 PM) in Capricorn. How much can you trust the folks you were cutting deals with this morning? That might be an important thing to consider. Paranoia could creep up on us and that feeling of fixation and obsession is growing.

In some cases, that paranoia may be warranted. There's likely a feeling of “the other shoe preparing to drop.” And that smelly sneaker is due to fall out of the sky as the Moon opposes Uranus in Aries at 8:35 PM. Breathe through the “what the fuck?” Respond appropriately to whatever situation this spawns instead of just allowing the knee jerk reaction to take over. Following this potentially catalyzing emotional explosion, the Moon is Void until entering Scorpio at 10:51 PM. Meanwhile, the plot thickens as Mercury does officially find Pluto at midnight. Some of these “emotional explosions” could very well kick starts some plots for revenge. You know, though, the best revenge is to survive whatever is thrown at you in an effort to knock you off course. You've got plenty of time to plot and seethe. The Moon is Void for over 12 hours again before entering also potentially seething Scorpio. This entire set up reminds me of the quote, “holding onto anger is like grasping a hot coal.” Whatever “this” is for you, is it worth burning up over? We are under a waning Moon, remember. This is time to let go and release not hold on and seethe until your insides burn up. Focus on how you are going to endure and thrive despite “this” instead of focusing on plans for insidious world domination and destruction. K? If you let the actions of someone else determine your next step then you might as well just hand them over the steering wheel of your life. Because, in essence, what you are doing is allowing yourself to be controlled. Perhaps blowing up and doing something destructive is exactly what they want you to do. You gonna allow yourself to be set up like that? No. Don't fall for it, sweet pea. Take this VOC Moon break and use it to decide your next step instead of just feeding into re activeness and impulsiveness.

Today the Moon in Libra is Void just about all day. She doesn't enter Scorpio until 10:51 PM. This gives us plenty of time to look at our personal situation from different angles and suss out the details of what we need to do in the near future. It's a good day for a physical break and one in which not many are going to be prone to talking a whole lot. Plans are kept under wraps for now as we re-arrange the steps we need to take.

Sunday is quite busy with an active Moon and Mercury waxing into his third square with Uranus. Wind things down. Tie up loose ends or just take today off for meaningless toiling. But, by all means, get your feet well under you and prepared for whatever the last day of January has in store while remembering we are to be letting go more than we scramble to hold on under our Last Quarter Moon. Take advantage of the opportunity to rest up a little.

Morning Star: Astrology for the Week of January 17 to January 23, 2016

Sunday, January 17, 2016

This looks like a fairly lazy day. We wake up to the Moon in Taurus. Her first aspect is an ambiguous opposition to Mars in Scorpio (1:54 PM) quickly followed by a sextile to Neptune (2:29 PM). Mars is closing in on his trine with Neptune which perfects tomorrow. Assertive energy is subdued. Direct aggression is awash. Ambition is napping. I suggest leaning into this. However, if you do have tasks you need to complete, you can set your work to music for inspiration and promise yourself a nice indulgent reward for the progress you make. Both these techniques are effective in increasing Mars/Neptune productivity under a Taurus Moon.

Venus in Sagittarius is also waxing in square to Jupiter in Virgo. This perfects tonight around midnight prior to the Moon meeting Pluto by trine at 3:33 AM. Tonight is certainly earmarked for indulgence and relaxation. Some may even be prone to over-indulge, which I do not recommend with Jupiter in Virgo. Instead, we should remain practical and mindful of simplicity. We can manage to eat a few cookies instead of the whole package, right? Well, under Mars trine Neptune and Venus square Jupiter we could easily eat the whole package before we know it and end up with a belly ache. So, indulge but mindfully and in moderation. Pay attention to your cravings, as well. What are they trying to tell you? What is it you really need? Temptation can tell you a lot about yourself.

The Moon trine Pluto craves richness and fulfillment along with physical satisfaction. So, whatever you choose don't just indulge in it. Savor it. Slowly. Bit by bit. Morsel by morsel. Incorporate the use of all of your senses to completely absorb the experience. Notice taste, texture, smell...every little nuance.
Venus square Jupiter is also good energy to prepare yourself for the week ahead. If you are a weekly 9-5'er this is a good opportunity to plan meals for the incoming week. Do laundry and get all your ducks well positioned and prepared for the week ahead. Gift yourself with preparation.

Monday, January 18, 2016

The Moon lingers in Taurus this morning as Mars officially finds Neptune by trine at 6:01 AM. By 7:48, our emotions are gentle with a sextile to Chiron. The rest of the day we have a nice “down to Earth” feeling through two subsequent Earth trines. The first comes with a trine from the Moon to Mercury RX in Capricorn at 9:04 AM. This is followed by a Lunar trine to Jupiter in Virgo at 4:16 PM.
We likely feel pretty grounded which will help with the Mars/Neptune energy. It's a gentle, practical day in which anger is subdued while physical energy is imbibed with grace. We are encouraged to go with the flow while still remaining centered in our tasks of the day. But, all this happens at a plodding pace. Don't try to be in too much of a hurry. With grace, timing, creativity and foresight a lot can be accomplished.

Maintain your sense of humor. Keep your expectations practical and gently dance your way through this day. Know that you may feel a little lethargic. Remember music can be motivating. Stay well hydrated (you'd be surprised how much of a difference this makes in regard to energy levels under Mars/Neptune) and remember, there is no crime in nap time.
Overnight, Mercury will sextile Chiron (1:31 AM) as the Moon finds the Capricorn Sun by trine (1:51 AM). Following the trine with the Sun, the Moon is briefly Void until entering Gemini at 4:14 AM. This energetic set up provides nice support for solid night's sleep. Take advantage of that. Overall, Yin energy rules the day.

Tuesday, January 19, 2016

This morning we wake up to the Moon in Gemini. Today, she will link up the square between Saturn (13 degrees Sagittarius) and Neptune (8 degrees Pisces) by first squaring the Lord of the Seas at 6:11 PM and opposing Saturn at 2:55 AM. It's a give and take kind of day. One in which we are likely distracted or emotional while being called to deal with the reality of “it” all at the same time.
Most of the morning flows fairly easily. But, by early evening, many could feel washed out at best. It is a good day for creativity and bringing art projects to life. It's also a good day for building dreams and/or leaning into acceptance and forgiveness. The last few days has been mostly about what you crave. Now the energy shifts to what you are mentally obsessing about. Pay attention, there are personal messages in all this for you.

Remember we are on our way to a Full Moon at the end of the week. This means that emotionality is becoming more heightened and sensitive as the week moves forward. This evening, we are likely quite emotionally sensitive and moods can steer toward negativity fairly quickly. Be easy with yourself. Find the reality of the situation while delineating a plan to make things better if need be. Boundary work is also a good idea. Be mindful of what and who you surround yourself with. Don't carry burdens that aren't yours. Again, stay well hydrated to help with energy levels and mood in general. Balance work and rest, responsibility with leisure and reality against imaginative possibility.
Typically, Moon in Gemini is rather social. However, in her current condition she may be more prone to withdrawal into her own inner world. Tomorrow, things are set to lighten up a little for our Moon in Gemini. Today, though, looks to be one of those “wet blanket” kind of days.

Also, be mindful of where you allow your brain to wander. Mercury, our current Moon's ruler, is waxing away from Chiron and toward a square with Uranus that perfects tomorrow after the Sun exits Capricorn and moves into Aquarius. The Moon is going to check in with all these players tomorrow too swiftly incorporating all the information that Mercury Rx is stirring up into our emotional body. Be mindful of triggers and re-think how you address your personal pain. Know that some stuff will bubble up in an effort to bring denied or numbed pain/aches back into our awareness so that it can be deal with effectively...not for punishment purposes. You can't help the aches if you don't know where they are, in other words. This is a very personalized affair. What bubbles up for you will vary from what bubbles up for your neighbor. However, there is nothing wrong with stepping in to support one another through whatever may be happening if you are able. Again, though, be mindful of boundaries. Don't bite off more than you can chew or volunteer to carry around more than you can handle.

Also, entering this week, I've heard a lot about water problems. Water line breaks, boil water advisories and all that. Know that under Mercury/Chiron, stuff like this has the potential to trickle into this week as well. It doesn't make you paranoid to pick up some bottled water just in the event something like this enters your world.

Wednesday, January 20, 2016

Today, our mood has a chance to lighten and brighten a little under a Lunar sextile to Uranus at 9:25 AM. We are able to detach from heavier emotions and dry out a little. Mars energy is returning as he waxes away from his trine with Neptune. Plus, Solar energy shifts as the Sun moves into Aquarius at 10:27 AM.

In our afternoon, hurt feelings could, again, take center stage with a Lunar square to Chiron just as our mouths are unleashed under a square from Mercury to Uranus at 1:27 PM. Remember what I said about elusive pains being brought to our awareness so that we can deal with them. Yet, the knee jerk reaction is just going to be to tell the person that tripped our trigger or the object we stubbed our toe on to straight up fuck off. With Uranus, what we are being called to do is rise above and suppress the knee-jerk reaction in favor of a more intelligent and mature response. That is quite taxing on a person's patience...let me tell ya. In dealing with it, breath, believe it or not, becomes very important. Breathe deliberately through the catalyzing stimulation and choose your response deliberately. Hold the pain away from you a bit for perspective and don't just react to it. Take time to intelligently respond.

Also, with Mercury in square to Uranus, we are being prompted to try new tactics. The “old ways” just aren't working anymore. We are called to think independently instead of jumping on the nearest band wagon. We are prompted to experiment with new methods and different perspectives. We should look to free ourselves instead of continue self-hobbling. Again. A very personalized affair.
Things (personal habits, for example) that need to change are going to continue becoming harder to ignore and, eventually, unbearable. This stuff is going to come acutely into our awareness and we could very well be looking at it in exasperation saying, “Something's gotta give/change here.” In that, my coping methods may not work for you and your methods may not work for me. It's important to assess where you might be tripping yourself up and be willing to change your tactics. Also, make sure you are adding to a conversation if you have something to say instead of just blowing hot air around pretending to be the expert on everything. Timeliness/punctuality is also a “thing” with Mercury/Uranus AND Sun in Aquarius. Keep a check on your watch.
By late evening, the Moon is in square to Jupiter in Virgo. We could feel picky and critical. The antidote for that is to steer yourself toward practicality, optimism, humility and generosity while finding blessing in the simple daily stuff. It's also a good time to adjust daily routines and rituals so that they are more supportive of your life.

The mind is likely a very busy, potentially nervous/anxious, place today. Thoughts come at a rapid fire pace. This bears impact on our emotional body as the Moon is answering to Mercury right now. Scale back on stimulants and write down inspiring thoughts and brilliant ideas to come back to later. Explore options and possibilities instead of getting caught in the “I can't” trap.
Also, this week bears the potential for icy conditions. And wind that chaps your more delicate parts...nose, mouth and what have you. So, take whatever precautions you need to in an effort to deal with that potential.

Thursday, January 21, 2016

Overnight, the Moon made an uncomfortable opposition to Venus in Sagittarius at 3:02 AM. From here, she is Void until entering moody Cancer at 8:29 AM. We are likely to really be able to feel the Full Moon building by today. This means, emotionality is heightened. We are hungry. We are seeking comfort. I highly suggest you keep yourself well fed and and make your personal sense of security a priority. Nesting is just a good idea.

Taking things slow and easy is also indicated. The only major aspect the Moon makes today is a trine to Neptune that waxes in at 10:54 tonight. Solar energy is not going to understand over emotionality. On a solar level we are more prone to be a little cool. But, emotional waters are stirring whether it makes any sense to us or not. So, don't neglect what needs to be addressed on that level even if it doesn't jive with logic.

Friday, January 22, 2016

The Moon remains active today as emotionality continues to build under a waxing Moon. Nighttime skies are probably pristine. Icy crystal clear making the stars shine even more brilliantly. But, it's also probably pretty cold in a lot of areas too. Hot chocolate and homemade hearty soups/stews are stars of the show these days.

Overnight the Moon danced with Mars in Scorpio by trine. It was a good night to sink into physical pleasures and entertain intimate needs. Today, though, thoughts run deep and there is a potential for paranoia under Mercury's second conjunction with Pluto that waxes in our early morning hours (5:07 AM). Many are seeking comfort as the mind scours some serious business.
The Moon sinks into this Mercury/Pluto configuration with an opposition to both around lunchtime. Intuitive abilities are kicking ass. If something doesn't “feel” right exit the situation quickly. But do be mindful of what fears are bubbling up in your personal sphere. Personal demons have the potential to rear their heads under this sky. Stare fear right in the face and defend your home territory like a strong Momma Bear should. Even with the potential for fear and paranoia, there is also a strong call to survival and personal protection. Listen to your instinctual body. Adjust your perspective when/if necessary and make personal comfort and security a priority. Deliver onto yourself what you need, in other words.

A Lunar square to Uranus breaks our give a damn and offers us an opportunity to detach from the depths a little at 2:33 PM. Again, assess what needs to change and be proactive in adjusting it. Also know this aspect carries the potential for re-activeness. So, if you let your fears get the best of you in the early part of the day you could find yourself popping loose at the seams by late afternoon. Lean into the detachment and logical power of our Aquarian Sun while taking appropriate measures to ensure your personal safety. Don't forget to breathe through catalyzing circumstance so that you can intelligently respond instead of just react.

As our night creeps into our sphere, we are ready to retreat to our caves and lick our proverbial wounds under a Moon/Chiron trine at 5:08 PM. Proactively addressing your needs pays off with a lift in our moods due a sextile from the Moon to Jupiter at 1:22 AM. Dreams are likely filled with symbolism and we could start feeling a bit better with rest as the night moves forward. Following the sextile with Jupiter, the Moon is Void until entering Leo at 2:22 PM tomorrow evening.

Saturday, January 23, 2016

The potential “pop” of the Full Moon looms in this day. However, this morning we have plenty of time to settle all that a little bit under a VOC Moon that lasts all morning and a good bit of the afternoon. However, there is a chance for a bit of selfishness to enter the equation in the later part of day.

After the Moon enters Leo, Venus leaves the fires of Sagittarius in favor for a more grounded type of energy in Capricorn. We are prompted to become responsible for our desires and take matters of money and love seriously. At the same time, though, emotionality becomes a personal affair. In that, we are called to recognize our individual needs that may differ from that of the collective. We are called to step out of the sea of people as a singular entity while recognizing our unique needs.
The Full Moon officially crests at 8:47 PM at 3 Aquarius/Leo 29. We've had a week of personalized circumstance and introspection. It's time to unleash our individuality onto the world. In that, we are not naked and afraid. But, self-accepting and unashamed. Separate yourself from the pack for a minute and recognize what individual talents you have to contribute and foster a sense of personal pride in that. At the same time, look at your friends and neighbors and allow them room (while giving them acknowledgment) to do the same. Recognize your individual role in the collective. You are important and unique...just like that person and that other personal over there. There is room on this planet for everyone and we all have different but important contributions to make. What are yours? Offer them up with pride and leave room for inclusion of the talents of others. We are being called to refine and acknowledge personal talents that assist in the various groups we are engaged in. A week of self-discovery leads to a day of stepping into the spotlight of what we've found.

The Sabian Symbols for this Lunar event are as follows:

SUN AT 4 AQUA: A Hindu pundit reveals himself suddenly a great healer. Supremacy of the unsuspected faculties hidden deep within. Conscious utilization of divine potency. Revelation of self.

MOON AT 4 LEO: Elderly man gazes at moose head on club room's wall. Self-development through the culture of masculine activities. Subservience of individual to social pattern of behavior.

Morning Star: Astrology for the Week of January 10 to January 16, 2016

Sunday, January 10, 2016

This morning we wake up under a Capricorn Moon leaving her trine with Jupiter in Virgo (3:34 AM). By lunchtime, she is conjunct Mercury RX and ready for a short rest (VOC) before entering Aquarius at 3:23 PM.

The first aspect our Aquarian Moon makes is an itchy awkward square with a slow moving Mars in Scorpio (10:32 PM). Mars is moving quite slow these days because he is preparing for a retrograde trip. Which, on a personal level, out of all the Rx periods, I hate Mars' the most. As a Libra person (including Mars) you would think I would enjoy this. But, I most certainly do not. Nope. Not a bit. Thankfully, we still have some time before we have to worry about it too much. Mars has not even entered his shadow yet. He is just moving rather slow. He doesn't even make it to the sign of Sagittarius (where he will station Rx) until March. He enters his shadow on February 18. Then, he stations Rx at 8 Sagittarius on April 18. Finally, he stations direct on June 30 at 23 Scorpio. He exits his shadow on August 22.
Today we only have to deal with a brief square from the Moon to Mars which is just agitating enough to catalyze arguments and disagreements especially between those who may be power hungry and those who are more socially conscious. On a personal level, it could merely catalyze a bit of ambiguity or an uncomfortable situation in which we have to do something that we would rather not.
The best way to navigate this energy is to first and foremost, remember it is brief and temporary. The discomfort will wane quickly. Also, rise above conflict and realize not everything is worthy of spilling blood. Don't make it bigger than it needs to be. It doesn't always have to be kill or be killed. There are other options that Mars in Scorpio does have a tendency to miss. Realize we all have to do stuff we would rather not from time to time. Do it quickly and efficiently without procrastinating. Get it over with instead of standing around bitching about it which only serves to delay the process and make you more resentful over having to do it in the first place.

Monday, January 11, 2016

This morning we wake up still under the influence of the Moon in Aquarius. However, she is quite stable this morning due a waxing sextile to Saturn in Sagittarius at 12:35 PM. We are calm, cool and collected. We are well prepped to meet this Monday and do whatever it is we need to do.
Overall, it looks like a pretty calm day...which sounds nice to me. The Moon is not overly swamped with emotions. Aquarius Moons just don't have a tendency to get all tore up about the little stuff. Plus, the Moon is well supported starting the day off with a sextile to Saturn followed by a nice sextile to Venus at (5:59 PM) and a sextile to Uranus at 8:09 PM prior to going Void.

Take advantage of this day. With the emotional body settled and well supported you can focus on the tasks you have at hand. Or, if your work is all caught up, this looks like a pretty good day to just relax a bit. There's just enough supportive energy in this day to allow us to effectively engage in whatever we decide. Things go quite smoothly. So, take advantage of that since it is NOT a typical thing for a Monday.
Aside from that, we may be a little dry today but that is due to change. After the sextile with Uranus the Moon is Void until entering Pisces 6:54 PM tomorrow. So, today is excellent for getting a good run and go on new projects and toiling on them all the way through tomorrow (nearly) without much distraction. But, tomorrow night? We may have worn ourselves out by then. Again, take advantage of the ability to make some headway today.

Tuesday, January 12, 2016

As I mentioned in yesterday's write up, the Moon is Void in Aquarius for much of this day. She doesn't enter Pisces until 6:54 PM tonight. Under this Void Moon we can handle projects we started yesterday rather dispassionately. We are mindful of the checks and balances and most folks will be fairly subdued. It's a nice emotional break prior to a potential emotional storm that sits just on the horizon under our incoming Pisces Moon.

Shortly after the Moon enters Pisces, Venus trines Uranus at 7:11 PM. Now, I see the potential for a stroke of unexpected luck here. In the US, the news is all aflutter over the growing PowerBall jackpot. This Astrologer is going to buy her ticket under Venus/Uranus for tomorrow night's drawing. Yes, I can get down with investing about 10 bucks on a chance at a little over a billion dollars. That's a manageable and well calculated risk.
Other than that, though, Venus trine Uranus sets many hearts ablaze. We could crave weird things. We may want to reach out and socialize or merely try something new. It's the tendency to be impulsive that usually upsets a person's apple cart under this sky. So, try your best to refrain from that. However, if an unexpected but welcomed opportunity presents itself...you've briefly measured the potential for return on investment and for all intents and purposes this looks like JUST the opportunity you've been waiting for then, don't hesitate to jump on it.

Love is free and uninhibited under Venus/Uranus. This isn't a day to try to keep it locked up or controlled. Let her dance with wild abandon and freely be the muse she loves to be. She's just coming off a repressive conjunction with Saturn. So, let your heart move about freely and joyfully. Doing so will have your emotional body frolicking in tow. However, self-denial and repression are going to have a different type of emotional impact. Now is not the time for that. Now is the time for Venus to be unleashed and free to explore new things and experiences.
The window for an uninhibited Venus is short-lived. Her next aspect is an uncomfortable and potentially emotional square to Chiron tomorrow night. So, again, take advantage of this energy while it lasts.
My big advice for tonight is to get everything laid out in preparation for tomorrow morning before you go to bed. Check that your alarm is set if you have to get up early and do everything you can to arrange things so all you have to do is get up without having to think about it too much. Don't stay up too late if you have business to engage in tomorrow. Make it as easy on yourself as you can by engaging the foresight of preparation. You'll thank yourself for it tomorrow. I promise.

Wednesday, January 13, 2016

This is the day that the waters begin to rise and things start getting a bit wonky. Wednesday starts out innocuous enough with a Lunar trine to Mars in Scorpio at 3:56 AM. This is a very intuitive aspect and it could pack some potential for pretty active dreams due the timing of its perfection. Who were you making love to in your sleep? What deep desires are bubbling and stirring as you awake this morning? What will satiate your hunger?
Speaking of waking, that might be hard to do. We may prefer to stay lingering in our dreams or perhaps even over-sleep as the Moon finds Neptune by conjunction at 8:17 AM. It takes effort to drag ourselves out of bed. Some may be struggling with a new onset of illness, even...waking up with the sniffles or a head cold. In other areas, wet weather and foggy conditions could be a factor in our early morning hours. It's just a draggy kind of morning where many could be distracted, tired or emotional due various reasons. Slow down a little bit.

Tonight, the Moon squares off with Saturn at 4:07 PM as the Sun finds Jupiter in Virgo by trine at 5:50 PM. Ok. There's a little bit of a push and pull here. What I see (or actually what I'm hearing right now) are words that say in one way or another, “I deserve better than this.” And, you know what, you may be right. Moon square Saturn at it's most raw is grumpy and depressed. Sun and Jupiter together can have us putting ourselves on a pedestal while thinking our pay off for effort given thus far has been largely overlooked. What I would encourage you to do in order to meet this energy the most effectively is to come to a sober realization. This is how it is. Right now. But, there are things I can do to make my situation better. Plus, there are things I can do to help others in their personal situations. How can you expect anyone to be willing to help you if you are never there offering assistance yourself? Refrain from self-exaltation and lean into some humility, practicality and simple generosity toward your fellow man. That is going to make our current Pisces Moon feel better and, in the long run, it's going to help you feel better about yourself too. Otherwise, the energy of the day can run toward bitterness rather quickly.

Not only is there a potential for depression that turns a wee bit narcissistic, but there is also the potential for hurt feelings and disappointment as Venus finds Chiron by square at 7:26 PM. So, there is a bit of an ache wrapped up in this too. Well...Moon in Pisces carries a certain illusive ache with it all by itself. But, Venus square Chiron doesn't help matters one little bit. Many may feel hobbled or hindered. But, with the right perspective we could discover a tunnel that leads out of that hole and foster an opportunity to look at the situation differently. That potential lies in the ability to remain humble and of service to others while finding gratitude for the small and simple. Know that “ache” is going to feel really real and in some instances the pain of today will be acutely felt. So, be easy with yourself and others. Try to foster a sense of humor about it (if at all possible) and take yourself a little less seriously.
Venus in Sagittarius has big expectations. Par those down a little and don't be so generous that you end up putting yourself in a hole. Charity begins at home. You can't pour from an empty cup and a constant desire for immediate gratification along with a poor frustration tolerance are factors that will put you in a position of disappointment. A little gratitude fostered for daily simple blessings will go a long way in easing the discomfort of this day. Whining that you are not getting your deserved cut is only going to make you feel worse. What can you do to help the situation aside from lamenting over it? It is what it is. What will you do about it?

By 9:13 PM, the Moon is sextile Pluto which can deliver a sense of personal restoration and a recognition of your own powers of endurance and fortitude OR have us steeped in greed and desperation. Look. It's one of those days that has the potential to launch itself on the wrong foot or out of the wrong side of the bed. Manage the best you can while realizing it is just one day. Do what you can while giving yourself recognition for your accomplishments and forgiving yourself for where you may have fallen short. Then, power down tonight and get well positioned for a little bit of a better day tomorrow. Things always look better after a good night's rest.
Overnight, the Moon will conjunct Chiron (1:22 AM) and square Venus (1:55 AM).

Thursday, January 14, 2016

I'll be interested to see what plays out weather-wise today. Mercury is quite active. We begin the day under a Pisces Moon. But, the bigger news is Mercury Rx conjunct the Sun at 9:05 AM. This occurs at 23 Capricorn. Shortly after, the Moon in Pisces opposes Jupiter Rx in Virgo (10:14 PM). A little while later, the Pisces Moon sextiles Mercury Rx and the Sun subsequently linking up a trine between Mercury Rx/Sun and Jupiter Rx all lined up at 23 degrees in Earth signs. And, oh yeah, guess where the nodal axis is...under the Moon and Jupiter Rx. So, yeah, this looks like the set up for a fairly interesting day in several ways. If you have personal planets at 23 Taurus (give or take a few in either direction) what you have today is a beautiful kite in your chart, by the way. Nice.

For the public at large, I smell hints at the incoming eclipse season. Watch what is bubbling through your world right now and take note. There is a chance that something you encounter today becomes a bigger issue in the near future. It could be a bigger issue in a good way or a bad way. Don't judge it just yet. Merely note it. Record it in your brain as you move forward. Chances are, if you are paying attention, you'll notice what you need to notice. If you need additional direction, look to where the nodal axis is transiting in your chart. That's the area of life you should be watching for clues.
As weird as this sounds, I'm getting catfish symbolism from looking at this set up. Let me see if I can explain. A catfish can lie at the bottom of a lake underneath a veil of sediment and be very easily invisible. Undetectable as he is lying there motionless. However, if he twitches...even just a little bit, the sediment at the bottom of the lake begins to stir making a small underwater dust cloud. If he keeps stirring and moving at the bottom of the lake, it can eventually make the whole body of water completely muddy. Today, look for where that catfish is starting to stir. For more on catfish symbolism, go here

Interestingly enough, the Moon is Void after her sextile with the Sun at 11:32 AM. So our observations can take place during a time when we aren't necessarily wearing our feelings on our shoulders. Then, the trine with Mercury to Jupiter officially perfects at 9:16 PM just prior to the Moon entering Aries at 9:49 PM. Premonitions and spot on intuitive hits are such a big possibility today. Listen to what messages you are receiving from that realm today. Turn the volume down on everything else if you have to. But, definitely listen to what that little inner voice is trying to tell you.
Then, sleep on what you've observed today. Tomorrow looks fairly active. You'll want to be rested enough to engage. So, let this pot simmer for awhile.

Friday, January 15, 2016

Today we wake up under an Aries Moon who is fairly well positioned for a day in which quite a bit can be accomplished. We are busy bodies as we rush about taking care of what needs to be taken care of and driving our car forward as best we can. It's obvious the blur and haze of the Aries Moon has faded. Now, the Moon waxes toward a “dirt under your tires” traction grabbing trine with Saturn in Sagittarius which perfects at 7:22 PM. Reality blessedly comes back and a lot of folks are going to feel as if they have truly just woken up from a dream. The last few days were kind of like that.
Today, though, we are moving forward (even if it isn't at a hair on fire pace) diligently and with a sense of purpose. Even if that purpose is just to regain a sense of routine.

Overall, things probably go as planned today. We are active and have grabbed a bit of traction. This, my dears, is a good thing. There is a bit of tension that begins brewing overnight as we prepare to enter tomorrow's First Quarter Moon. Get your chores (responsibilities) all in good order so you are well positioned to deal with whatever that may hold.

Saturday, January 16, 2016

Somewhat latent emotions were likely brewing overnight as the Moon squared off with Pluto just after midnight and met Uranus by conjunction at 2:16 AM. This morning, though, we awaken to a rather comfortable trine between the Moon and Venus in Sagittarius. These two have both recently been sent through the metaphorical “wringer” in the recent past. This meetup feels nice for both of them. And, it's likely to feel good to most of us, too.
Eight minutes later, though, Momma Moon meets Mercury by square. This can cause conflict between the emotional body and the logical mind. It can also cause disagreements, headaches and friction between how we feel and how we think. Sometimes the decisions that are best for the “business of your life” are not the most comfortable decisions. This aspect will bring that fact to your awareness. Be honest with yourself and make the best decision regardless of the level of difficulty.

At 6:27 PM our Aries Moon squares off with our Capricorn Sun creating our First Quarter Moon. This occurs at 26 degrees in Cardinal. And, typically, First Quarter Moon's are pretty stressful. Challenges present. Conflict arises. That damn catfish is stirring up more dust. The key is to get Capricorn and Aries energy to get along. This can signify areas of work in conflict with areas of your personal life. Your ambitions versus your ability to meet your responsibilities. Fighting/bickering in the work place. Yes, we could hear about some disgruntled employees today..or bosses. Remember, you are the boss and CEO of your life.
