Morning Star: Astrology for the week of December 26, 2016 to January 1, 2017

Monday, December 26, 2017

The Moon entered Sagittarius last night at 10:20 PM. This morning (9:18 AM), we find her squaring Mars in Pisces. This can manifest confused motivation or demotivation. Either way, it is not conducive of direct forward motion. Mars is in PISCES. Ok? So, this is not the Mars we know. How do you move (Mars) in the ocean (Pisces)? You float or swim. You do not run. You have to surrender to the currents and tides. Sometimes skitter sideways or do nothing at all. It will behoove you to remember you cannot fist fight Neptune. The more you struggle here the more quickly you will sink to the bottom. If our traveler Sagittarius Moon wants to get anywhere, she will remember and be mindful of the territory she is traversing right now. At the very least, this can kick off ambiguity in regard to what we need to be doing or feel like doing. Release and go with the flow.

Overlaying the entirety of this day, we have the building energy of Jupiter waxing into opposition with Uranus who is quivering in station preparing to turn direct in just a few days. What that means is Uranian energy is extra twitchy. Not only might we have demotivation and ambiguity to deal with, we may also have anxiety and just the mere sense of off the hook craziness that accompanies this waxing opposition that perfects at 1:31 PM. And, I have no better word to describe this set up than crazy. Like potential loose cannon crazy. Ok? Even better reason to kind of hold yourself at bay for now, just to see how this plays out.
There is potential for positive manifestation of this. But, remember the energy is all around you not just coming to you. So, expect some bolts to fly out of metaphorical (or literal) machinery. Thankfully both Uranus and Jupiter are still amicably within orb of Saturn. Grounding is accessible and highly suggested. As well as a sense of purpose and priority. Remember where it is you are trying to go even if you might not have a direct line of actually getting there right now. Still, hold that sense of “true north” in front of you as a reminder.

Of course, all the regular cautions apply in regard to the potential anxiety associated with Uranus. Many will feel itchy/twitchy enough without adding more stimulation or amped up chemicals in their body. Maintain a clear circuit. Drink plenty of water. Engage Saturn by way of boundary...likened to a Teflon coating allowing things to roll off your back instead of trying to hold them on your shoulders. You can move physically to offset some of the twitchiness. Dancing or some other type of fluid-like movement is recommended. Set your motivation to music (Mars in Pisces).
What we are being called to do is balance out the “rebel against all things” energy of Uranus in Aries with the more subtle and less direct movements of Jupiter in Libra. We have this “sudden knee jerk energy” countered with an ability to discern the “others point of view” and assess things like impact and collateral damage. We may see how waging a violent rebellion is not helping. We may be reminded that what we need to do is pull together instead of continually allowing ourselves to be fractured. We may learn the value of passivity and just being nice. We may learn that we can be our independent and unique selves (Uranus in Aries) and still surround ourselves with folks who lift us up and bring joy to our lives (Jupiter in Libra). You can maintain your sense of identity and still be appreciated and enjoy others. Yes. I promise you can.
But, yeah, overall it looks like a pretty wild ride when Jupiter and Uranus are facing off. Be careful out there. Many will be hyper aware of their surroundings today.
Unfortunately, what we end up with following the perfection of this big and important opposition is a lunar square to Neptune (5:42 PM) followed by Mercury Rx perfecting in 2nd sextile to the same (11:49 PM). Now. This looks rather emotional and potentially confusing. We have the opportunity to both be fed a bunch of lies or discover some that folks delivered to us at the 1st pass of Mercury/Neptune. There is a potential for washout however you look at it. Easy does it now. We are very, very sensitive and probably anxious and maybe even in shock. Take some alone time. Ground. Turn off the noise. Deal with your emotions and look for fact more than you play with fiction.
Later tonight and leading into tomorrow, the Sun in Capricorn finds Mars in Pisces by sextile. Plans can be made here. Ideas for addressing things. But, we realize we might have to be a little sideways or indirect about it. We know what must be done. But, we are going to have to do it “under the veil” to a degree.

Overall, this is definitely a Monday (and a half!). Things have potential to get more than a little crazy and unpredictable. That is going to take a toll on the emotional body. Tread carefully. Keep boundaries tight and radar up while realizing the shortest distance between two points IS a straight line but we are not exactly moving in a linear fashion right now. Engage “spotting” your target when you feel like you are spinning in circles to avoid needless dizziness. Realize there are tides and undercurrents to contend with...resisting or trying to fight that is just going to drain and frazzle you even more.
I feel as if we are able to get through this day without some type of explosion or something crazy happening with electrical and/or water systems; then, we've just witnessed some sort of miracle. Please be careful and aware out there while maintaining clear boundary and purpose. My suggestion is not to mirror the ugly you may perceive in the world but to counter that ugly with something that is more a true expression of yourself and one that promotes peace and togetherness moreso than violence and lashing out. I'm not saying that is going to be easy. There may be things that poke at you and try to get you to react violently or angrily. Don't let that control you. You control you. With that, we want to build a brighter future (Saturn in Sagittarius) not compound ourselves with future regrets.

Tuesday, December 27, 2016

This morning the water begins to dry up a bit. The Sun holds in sextile to Mars in Pisces. So, there is a little dampness there that calls for subtlety and grace. But by 3:32 PM the Moon is locked into a fire trine with Uranus while also in sextile to Jupiter. This is a “wildfire” set up. Yet, with the Moon also moving toward Saturn (conjunction at 4:12 PM) we need to work to keep this at a controlled burn. The ultimate truth bears the keys that can set you free. However, when it swings it's sword to cut away the chains it might hurt or the truth may be hard to deal with in the first place.

That fact is accentuated by the Moon also squaring Chiron just a few minutes after bumping into Saturn. Before you do anything, let that truth settle in. Notice what painful dust it stirs up and acknowledge/deal with that proactively. Echoes of the past are entirely possible here and these may not be welcomed memories. Remember, you are not there anymore. Maintain a sense of the present.
By 8:46 PM we are inclined to circle our friends about us in support as the Moon sextiles Venus in Aquarius. This brings more wind to the wildfire though so be sure to tend that carefully. Following this sextile, the Moon is Void until entering Capricorn at 10:13 AM tomorrow.

Wednesday, December 28, 2016

This morning we wake up to a Void Moon in Sagittarius. She re-awakens in Capricorn at 10:13 AM. She is very slim now...almost completely dark as she continues releasing and detoxing up until the New Moon late tonight (1:55 AM).

After the Moon slips into Capricorn, Mercury finds the Sun via conjunction at 1:48 PM shortly preceding Saturn's official square to Chiron in Pisces at 5:55 PM. The Saturn/Chiron square perfects at 21 Mutable 01. The Sun/Mercury conjunction occurs at 7 Capricorn 14. The Sabian Symbol for the Sun/Mercury RX (and eventually, the Moon) conjunction reads as follows (From Dane Rudyar's “Wheel of Significance”):
In a big living room flooded with sunlight canaries sing. The happiness that radiates from an integrated personality. Firm self-establishment in social comfort or respectability.

The Sabian for the Sun/Mercury/Moon conjunction reads rather optimistically. It feels warm and when you consider sunlight and canaries you can't really help but to think of yellow and brightness...all indicators of joy. With Mercury Rx, this surely comes from inside us. A self-fostered sort of comfort within oneself that radiates outward bringing warmth to our surroundings with it.
Believe it or not, Saturn is here to help us with his harsh square to Chiron. What he is doing is bringing boundary, awareness and stability to our more deeply invasive pains. Fostering and radiating joy and comfort within oneself for the mere sake of it IS an effective coping mechanism (as well as owning/acknowledging these elusive pains/illnesses to begin with) and that's exactly what Saturn wants us to do. Sagittarius is a Jupiter sign that does equate to joy, generosity and warmth at his highest vibration. While Saturn lingers in Sagittarius suppressing and disciplining the sign of Jupiter, we have to learn to create these feelings ourselves. Sometimes, in order to do this, we must take ourselves to a quiet place out of earshot of the rest of the world. Create boundary so we can hear our hearts speak truth to us once more without outside interference. Know this is not a bursting forth of joy that has us running around the room. It's a quiet warmth. A comfortable inner glow. A humble joy.

Most typically, a Sun/Mercury conjunction signals a time of a busy mind, rapid communication, possible mental over-stimulation. But, if we take Mercury's retrograde cue here, we can envelop ourselves in silence in an effort to offset the spinning brain. Bring stillness to the chatter and take just a moment to delve deeply inward. Meditation, of course, works well here. As well as just sitting quietly with the TV, radio and electronics silenced. Seek not more information at this time. Instead, seek inner peace and quiet solace. Emotion follows thought here. The Moon officially finds Mercury by conjunction at 11:47 PM.
If you can manage to find that quiet peaceful space inside of you, it's only going to help you later as Mercury Rx next finds Mars in Pisces by sextile just after midnight. With a quiet and peaceful mind (Mercury) you can easily roll over into dreamland (Mars in Pisces). With a busy and worried mind you can toss and turn all night. Too many distractions and we could become accident prone or start acting out or trying to numb our pain instead of acknowledging it. Controlling and directing one's own thoughts is a chore for Mercury Rx in Capricorn. You have full license to berate yourself with worry or to throw a big leash on that brain and tell it where it needs to go.

Finally, at 1:55 AM, our New Moon in Capricorn blossoms at 7 Capricorn 59 depicting the same Sabian Symbol as the earlier Sun/Mercury conjunction and, perhaps, even illustrating this need for self-fostered joy, well boundaried and responsible relationship with our pain and a self-directed brain/perspective/inner language as an activity not only for today but ripe for future intent as well. Who knows what is true or what is the best perspective anymore. It is now our jobs to declare our own truth and choose our own perspectives instead of being slain by the constant barrage of potential fabrications coming from the outside world. Inside of your heart, you know what is real, what is important and what is true. Quit allowing yourself to be distracted by the latest trending story that may tell you otherwise.
Overnight, Uranus stations direct at 2:36 AM. It's time to move forward with this intrinsically fostered awareness and personal wisdom.

Thursday, December 29, 2016

This morning the Moon lingers in Capricorn in a leisurely sextile with Neptune in Pisces. This is soft and a bit subdued. But, the fog deepens and darkens as the day moves forward the Moon finds Pluto in Capricorn via conjunction at 7:13 PM. Softer feelings have opportunity to deepen and swirl here. Emotional manipulations and acts of control creep out of our closets. Stare the demons down and dissipate them with light...oh, it was just your sweater hanging over the chair and not a real demon.
As the night progresses, the Moon squares off with Uranus newly direct at 2:21 AM. This can catalyze anxiety and nervousness or bring us just the right kind of illumination at just the right time.
Whatever Moon/Pluto and Moon/Uranus brings to us, it grows under a lunar square to Jupiter at 3:08 AM which is quickly followed by a lunar sextile to Chiron in Pisces at 3:18 AM that ushers our Capricorn Moon into Void status. She will remain Void until entering Aquarius at 8:30 PM on Friday night. A loooong Void of Course Moon gifts us with another opportunity at quiet contemplation. Don't forget your inward fostered joy and peace intentions from yesterday. Continue to employ those exercises which help us to develop such.

Friday, December 30, 2016

This morning, the Moon remains Void as the Sun waxes into a softening sextile with Neptune at 6:25 PM. The boss is tired. It's time to prop up our feet and perhaps have a nice relaxing sip of wine to help us unwind. Loosen your tie. Unbuckle your shoes and relax.
The Moon re-awakens in Aquarius at 8:30 PM.

Saturday, December 31, 2016

The sky is fairly quiet on this New Year's Eve. There are no major lunar aspects but only a pure hopeful Aquarian Moon to guide us through our day. Light. Airy. Free and surrounded by friends. These are the cravings du jour.
Our early morning hours are colored by a sneaky inconjunct from Jupiter in Libra to Chiron in Pisces. So, there may be some inner stirrings to contend with. But, for the most part, it is a quiet day.
I would say it is mostly arid with a pure Aquarius Moon. However, we do have a waxing conjunction from Mars to Neptune in Pisces to contend with as well. This perfects overnight at 1:53 AM encouraging us to stop. Sleep. Dream. Float.

Yet, the movement does irk Father Neptune. There may be nightmares to contend with wrapped up in this night. Drunken brawls are also a high possibility. I've a feeling that small gatherings of true and trusted friends are best on this night. That way things have less of a chance to become volatile or spin out of control. We could see some trouble with matters of water, gas (as in home heating systems) and general confused motivation and lethargy.

Sunday, January 1, 2017

Happy New Year! New Day! New Month! If you are reading this on this day, pat yourself on the back for you have officially survived 2016. Grab your lighter and burn that calendar year to ash. We have a fresh new page to scrawl upon.

This morning the Moon remains in Aquarius and is uplifted by a sextile to her current ruler Uranus in Aries. We are slow to wake up most likely due last night's Mars/Neptune conjunction. Mars remains tight to the Sea God throughout the rest of the day. However the arid nature of Uranus offers us an opportunity to lighten up and dry out a bit. This is exacerbated by a warming air trine from the Moon to Jupiter in Libra at 12:39 PM. Then, stabilized by way of a lunar sextile to Saturn at 1:05 PM.
The rest of the day, this stable, airy and potentially very joy-filled optimistic Moon works toward a conjunction to Venus in Aquarius at 3:00 AM.
This is much lighter than most of our previous week. Folks want to be hopeful and optimistic about the brand New Year knocking on our door. Put to practice your deliberately fostered and self-made joy. Allow yourself to be hopeful. If you can do that, you will sail lightly through this day. The energy is also ripe for making wishes.

Welcome to 2017!

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of December 19 to December 25, 2016

Monday, December 19, 2016

This morning, the Moon resides and is active in Virgo. However, the first major astrological event of the day is Mars' entrance into Pisces at 4:23 AM. This is followed by Mercury's Rx station at 5:49 AM. He starts his back peddling at 15 Capricorn 08. It's as if he reached Pluto's dark doorstep and stalled out in fear. Not that I blame him. But, the two do not officially meet here. Pluto currently resides at 16 Capricorn 32. The two meet by conjunction in January of next year after all of Mercury's retrograde business. Mercury will retrace his steps all the way back to 28 Sagittarius 52 before he starts moving forward again on January 8, 2017. He exits his shadow on January 28 and lingers next to Pluto the next two days.

On January 28th, we also have a New Moon in Aquarius. Due Mercury's current condition, I would suggest waiting to set any New Year intentions, goals or resolutions at that New Moon. Apparently, 2016 has some business to wrap up prior to officially handing over the scepter to 2017. So, be thinking about (and re-thinking, re-scripting) intentions/plans until then. But, don't set them in stone until the Aquarius New Moon. Or, you can draft them at the Capricorn New Moon on December 29 and then offer the revised version at the Aquarius New Moon.
Mars' entrance into Pisces brings a shift in motivation. We move from pushing and warring in regard to issues of social justice and technology in Aquarius (not to mention thinking more than actually doing) and waft into more subdued and less direct movements. Mars here is not a forthright warrior. However, what you observe him doing will allude to his true motivations. Energy is somewhat lax here and will be skewed as Mars sinks into Neptune, eventually meets Saturn by square and Chiron by conjunction. He also sextiles Pluto from here. Basically, Mermen don't kick box. They don't wrestle. They are more lovers than fighters. Mars in Pisces can be the peaceful warrior. The one who martyrs himself. Or, the one who operates with a hidden agenda but his actions eventually give away his true intentions. While Mars is here, it is advised that we move more slowly and gracefully. We are swimming, not jogging and you cannot fist fight Neptune. He will just wear you down to point of exhaustion. So, some subtlety is called for. Fluidity and flow releasing control to the tempo of the Universe rather than trying to physically push our way through as there are strong undercurrents to contend with from time to time. Float more than force, in other words. This is good energy for dancing, sit-ins (as far as protests), prayer vigils and...naps.

These two movements together (Mercury Rx and Mars into Pisces) allude to a period of slow down and potential demotivation. I'd suggest going with that instead of trying to rush about and fight the energy. Mercury retrograde (at least at his station point) is likely to bring hiccups in regard to machinery, communication devices (such as phones), weather, travel and other things forcing us to slow down. Might as well take the Universal cue and don't allow ambition to usurp your safety or sanity. Easy does it. Deliberately slow down and take your time. Today being the best day to start.
Hopefully, last night, you followed the advice from Sunday that encouraged you to do a little prep work for Monday morning. Making sure your keys are where they should be and that you have everything lined out so it is easy to find. Maybe you even prepared yourself this morning by getting up a little earlier than usual; though, it will be VERY tempting to sleep in. Even if you are running a little late this morning, I still encourage you NOT to rush out in a panic. Take your time. Your safety is much more important than your timeliness.

The Moon in Virgo is opposed our Sea God, Neptune at 6:24 AM packing grog and fog...plus potential at confusion and lethargy. She lingers in this drunken state until meeting her current retrograde ruler (Mercury) by trine at 4:59 PM. While the influx of Earth here can help us grab a bit of traction, I caution you to remember Mercury is still pretty wobbly and wonky. It's still not advisable to just take off running. Make every step mindful, deliberate and purposefully placed. Stick to your plan but slow down and address what needs to be addressed still allowing yourself plenty of time to get to where you need to go.
By 7:41 PM the Moon is trine Pluto. More grounding is accessible. However, this could bring out the worry-wort tendencies of our Virgo Moon. Instead of wringing your hands in fear make a plan to fearlessly address the issue.
At 2:20 AM, the Moon quickly sobers up due a square to Saturn while also meeting Uranus by inconjunct AND opposing Chiron. The truth hurts. But, knowing it makes us wiser.
I see the potential for vehicular accidents this morning. Illness could be a factor (with fever, even as Mars enters Pisces). Perhaps some wicked weather and at the very least schedules overturned due various reasons. It is definitely Monday. And many will pass off today as a more than typical one.

Tuesday, December 20, 2016

This morning we wake up to the Moon perfecting in Last Quarter (square the Sun in the last degrees of Sagittarius) at 8:56 PM. This occurs at 29 Mutable 38 calling for flexibility, priority assessment and separating fact from fiction to some degree. The waning Moon calls for sweeping out of the previous Moon phase in preparation for the next. That makes this Lunar Movement excellent for things like detoxing, cleaning, decluttering and smudging/energy clearance efforts. Let go more than you hold on and remain flexible. Sagittarius season comes to a quick close from here.
Following the perfection of the Last Quarter, the Moon is Void until entering Libra at 9:40 AM (so, a very brief “rest” on that front).

The Moon remains without major aspect. Meanwhile, the Sun prepares his grand entrance into Capricorn at 5:45 AM. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALL YOU LOVELY GOATS!
Mostly, today is more settled than yesterday with a little lingering of Mercury Rx aftermath. It's still indicated to take your time and to leave room for unexpected interruptions in your schedule along with communication/technology/machinery hiccups.

Wednesday, December 21, 2016

We've a Cardinal sky this morning a far as our luminaries are concerned. The Moon resides in Libra as the Sun has entered Capricorn. Again, we are without major aspect through the day with the first major connection from the Moon coming through a square to Mercury Rx in Capricorn at 2:05 AM tonight.
Mostly we muddle through sharing niceties along the way and cleaning up whatever messes the first of the week may have left behind. The Moon inclines us to grin and bear it. It is mostly a humdrum kind of day in which we are left rolling past events around in our heads as we attempt to prepare for future ventures at the same time. Tomorrow, however, is rather Astrologically eventful as our Moon in Libra starts making connection with other planets also residing in Cardinal signs (Pluto, Uranus and Jupiter). Saturn will be her support through tomorrow as she holds in sextile during the meat of the day. We will need to pull out our highest qualities of both Jupiter and Saturn in order to traverse this effectively.

Thursday, December 22, 2016

Late last night, likely while most were sleeping, the Moon in Libra found Mercury newly Rx by square (2:05 AM). This morning, our pretty and smiling Moon meets up with Lord of the Underworld, Pluto by the same at 6:36 AM. This can birth paranoia and fear or at the very least make us a bit negatively inclined as we start our day.

Thankfully, a windy trine from the Moon to Venus in Aquarius occurs less than an hour later (7:24 AM) helping us to blow away our fears and shift our attitude to a less dour position. This aspect favors breezy and enjoyable rather than stuck in the muck of emotionality.
The lightness offered by the Moon/Venus trines overlays the conjunction of the Moon to Jupiter at 1:31 PM which expands and punctuates the emotional body. Whatever emotion we choose grows. Choose the good ones. Joy. Love. This movement is great for lunch gatherings with friends and other amicable groups. Holiday themed jaunts definitely fit the bill as most will be inclined to good cheer. Laughter is extremely contagious here so spread it about liberally.

The Moon/Jupiter conjunction coincides with a lunar sextile to Saturn in Sagittarius (2:00) and an opposition with Uranus in Aries (2:32 PM). Now, the only hiccup about this is that Uranus is stationed preparing to turn direct on the 29th. So, his itchy energies are a bit exacerbated. Other than that, with Saturn in play, this is a very stable and joyful lunar set up. Rudeness, however, does not fit the bill and any inclinations toward that are going to be met with repercussions. Surprise gifts or “no thank you needed” charitable acts fit wonderfully here. Random acts of kindness warm your heart and the hearts of witnesses/recipients starting another sort of contagion that folks would line the block to catch.
There could be some antsy energy that accompanies the Moon/Uranus opposition. To help offset that, sheer down on the holiday treats and avoid pumping too much caffeine into your system. Remain well grounded and humbled with joy and you really cannot go wrong here.
There is definitely opportunity to start this day off on the wrong foot. However, the Universe keeps throwing the opportunity to feel better at us. You can linger in dourness if you want. But, the day plays out much more enjoyably if you dump that dank cloak quickly and get out and about sharing, rejoicing and celebrating with folks whose company you enjoy.

Following the opposition with Uranus, the Moon is Void until entering Scorpio at 9:33 AM tomorrow. We go out on a bright note. Then, in the morning, we dive into deeper emotional matters.

Friday, December 23, 2016

This morning, the Moon is Void in Libra until crossing over into watery Scorpio at 9:33 AM. We are not as socially inclined as we were yesterday. We are ready for more intimate affairs. Something more quiet. More subdued. More personal.
At 2:26 PM, the Moon meets the fresh Capricorn Sun in a lovely sextile. We can really get down to business here. This is well grounded. Well boundaried. Plus, it packs the punch of endurance. If you have last minute chores to do or wrap-up business to attend to this energy is supportive for such. But, it is a quiet and focused kind of toiling.

At 4:26 PM the Moon is trine Mars in Pisces. A lovely water trine that encourages us to float more than we force. It's great for naps. Leisurely activities. Dancing. Escaping by way of music or entertainment. Making whoopee. Regardless of how you look at it, it is relaxed and flowy. This is where we melt.
This energy feeds into the next water trine we encounter in our early, early hours of tomorrow morning by way of Moon/Neptune (4:58 AM). Loosen your tie. Put on your comfy clothes. Relax. Sink into quiet pleasures. Surround yourself with the alluring and seductive sounds of your choosing. Take it easy and rest. Tomorrow morning is stellar for lingering in dream a little bit longer than usual.
There is a chance for emotional tides to rise here. The best offset of that potential is self care. Lean into those activities without guilt. Drift away from your problems this evening and focus on feeling better if you need that. If you are lucky enough to have access to a hot tub, this energy is begging for such.
Mercury is rewinding, though...so be careful in that hot tub unless you want to land in 1986..

Saturday, December 24, 2016

This morning we are inclined to laze around in bed a little longer than normal due the dawn coinciding with a watery Scorpio Moon trine to Neptune. It's cool. Sleep in. Linger a bit. There is no need to rush.
By 10:59 AM, we may decide to start our day as the Moon sextiles Mercury in Capricorn. This provides a little Earth. Enough to give us a bit of traction. But, can also bring forth memories of past holidays. Do the ghosts of Christmas past bring you joy or despair? Either way, remember they are in the past. You can re-create those memories to a degree. Or, you can choose to create better. Either way, this aspect is quite reflective. How your frame that perspective is entirely up to you.

The rest of the day, we may feel more than a little inclined to break with tradition. Saturn is strongly waxing into trine with Uranus. This fiery and somewhat rambunctious trine officially perfects at 7:15 PM. I have this set up in my natal chart but in air. Let me tell you something. I have a tendency to look at most rules as optional. I'm not all about “the way things have always been done” (as my set up also includes my Mars). I'm definitely not about following the rules just because. I am accountable for what I do. But, I also consider myself as my own authority. I'll make my own rules, thank you very much. I like new making new traditions. I like going against the “common grain” to a degree. I GREATLY enjoy being my own person. Those types of inclinations come along with this trine. So, yes, it's wonderful for creating new traditions. It's wonderful for shaking off the dust of expectation. It's wonderful for finding new solutions to old standing problems or creating new methods of operation in general. However, it is not energy that adheres to being bossed around. So leave folks to their own and worry about where you can make positive and sustainable change in your own life instead.
Santa has an upgraded sleigh and has a brand new bag this year. Maybe...just maybe...instead of flying around the world in one night he sits at home in his comfy chair at the North Pole and sends drones to down your chimney with your presents. Ya never know. Either way, this is mature, responsible, wise and innovative all at the same time. Responsible innovation. Deliberate construction of hope. And much, MUCH more.

The perfection of the Saturn/Uranus trine is overlaid by a lunar sextile to Pluto at 7:25 PM. The stench of past mistakes and deals run amok can surely compel us to try to do things a little differently. This also packs bravery and tenacity allowing us to plow through any unfinished business. At it's worst, it packs paranoia and greed. At it's highest, though, it is quite sexy and alluring. Indulge in intimate relationships. Bravely face new ways and new days.

Sunday, December 24. 2016

Brace yourself. Are you ready? Because today looks wonderful! No, I'm not kidding. No, you didn't read that wrong. Come on! Let's take a look at it!
Overnight the Scorpio Moon met with a bit of discomfort as she squared off with Venus in Aquarius at 2:23 AM. Following that, there was brief water trine with the Moon to Chiron in Pisces at 4:00 AM. From here the Moon is Void. Yup. Lights out.
However, Venus is the planet of the day as, from Aquarius, she will trine Jupiter as we wake up (8:23 AM). Then, she meets her current ruler, Uranus in Aries, by sextile around lunchtime (11:36 AM). Last but certainly not least, she sextiles Saturn in Sagittarius at 1:33 PM.

Now. Emotional bodies are less reactive and quite subdued. However, Venus comes to this day packing many pleasantries making it a stellar type of period for social gatherings, visits with friends/family/tribe, exchanging of gifts (go figure) and just a general laissez faire type of comfort. It's actually a good thing that emotions are turned down. No one is really heated up about much. Sure, it might not be some wild and crazy party. But, it does offer a chance at community, celebration and just a nice relaxing and enjoyable time. I'll take that. Check your worries at the door. This day was made for pleasure however you would like to find it.

The Moon remains Void as Venus takes center stage for most of the day. She likes it there. Allow her to twirl and be enchanted by her as a muse. At 10:20 PM the Moon crosses over into Sagittarius. She remains without aspect until tomorrow morning. So there is a wonderful chance to go to bed all wrapped up in joy and bliss. And you know what? It's about time.
I definitely encourage you to take advantage of the bright spots we have wrapped up and hidden within this week. Share. Love. Hug. Slow down. Remember what is really important. Let the rest slip away.
Happy whatever holiday you want to make it to you and yours. May peace, love and fellowship come directly to you all wrapped up with a pretty bow.

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of December 12 to December 18, 2016

Monday, December 12, 2016

As the Moon was Void in Taurus last night, the Sun was quite busy. Of course, we would have felt him waxing toward Uranus via trine for most of yesterday...as well as felt him waxing into square with Chiron. These aspects perfected at 1:56 AM EST and 2:58 AM EST respectively. Both Uranus and Chiron reside at 20 degrees of their signs (Aries and Pisces). The highest call of this aspect pattern is awareness. With Sun trine Uranus...especially happening in the signs of Sagittarius and Aries, we may yearn for more freedom or more independence. Any hindrances to that become intolerable and we become quite prone to rebel against restrictions. However, that sneaky and uncomfortable square between the Sun and Chiron, pushes it's way through to show us, “Hey, THIS is where you are blocking yourself. This is where you are holding yourself back. THIS is something you need to be aware of because you keep stubbing your toe on it.” And “This” varies from person to person perhaps including things we don't even want to admit to ourselves. Or, may remind us of painful events from our past (that we've tried to forget or deny) whose after effects still infect how we operate today. In other words, in our quest for more personal freedom and within our efforts at pure self-expression, we discover a few pitfalls or blocks that may be hard to rectify with ourselves but the awareness of which (once accepted and self-forgiven) can truly operate to HELP us wriggle free.
Given that the Moon is Void as these aspects officially perfect, we are given a bit of an emotional break in an effort to attempt to logically look at this stuff outside of overblown emotional interaction (even though the things it may poke at give rise to emotional states in our past and show us how that may need to be dealt with more effectively). Then, as the Moon clicks over into Gemini (7:42 AM), we may try to put some of the stuff this dredged up into words or be prone to talk it over in an effort to make more sense of it.

This is all going to play into our Full in Moon in Gemini on Tuesday night. We are given opportunity to release and/or bring these Chironic issues into stronger awareness since that lunar event does come within orb of both Chiron (by square) and Uranus (by sextile). The trickiness with that is due the fact that we also have a Cardinal T-square overlaying all the sextiles and trines in Fire and Air. This t-square is held by Jupiter in Libra, Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn finding outlet in..you guessed it...Cancer. Meaning, an awareness of your emotional body (Cancer) is going to be punctuated here. How well you can handle your emotions? The level of your emotional intelligence, the effectiveness of your coping mechanisms and your ability to nurture and care for yourself in regard to what you need all comes strongly into play.
The Moon reactivates in Gemini at 7:42 AM this morning. She makes a lovely air trine with Venus at 5:23 PM. This is light and comfortable...though perhaps a bit chilly since Venus in Aquarius loves snow and ice..and wind chill. She's weird like that; but, referred to as “The Ice Queen” for good reason. There is beauty in the crystalline. This aspect helps us become more comfortable in what it is that makes us unique.

Later tonight, though, emotionality and wetness become factors as the Gemini Moon squares off with Neptune. With the trine from Venus, we may have deliberately set ourselves apart from the crowd and now feel lonely or isolated. The mush of Neptune reminds us...we are more alike than we are different my friend. It can also give rise to emotional confusion in a way that is kind of likened to vertigo. Things were so clear and crystalline earlier and now...watershed. What the?
Or, it could be that we spent the day chatting it up with friends and what have you and by the time this square waxes in, we've had enough. We are tired. All talked out and ready to just dissolve into the ethers of sleep and dream.

Tuesday, December 13, 2016

As the Moon moves away from her square with Neptune this morning, she begins waxing into an uplifting trine with Jupiter in Libra. We are once again chatty and inclined to touch base with trusted friends. Many are curious and most are prone to politeness. This trine perfects at 1:25 PM and is great for random acts of kindness which pay off for you too as they work to lift your spirits. Friendliness and niceties are exchanged like breaths of fresh air.

However, it also coincides with a lunar opposition to Saturn at 2:04 PM which reminds us we still have lots of work ahead. There are still plenty of dark spaces that need to be rectified even under the brightness of Moon/Jupiter. Yet, we are actively working on it.
By 4:18 PM, the Moon is sextile progressive and rebellious Uranus while also squaring Chiron (4:26 PM). Those aspects are waning but still quite strongly in force as our Full Moon in Gemini culminates at 7:06 PM at 22 Sagittarius/Gemini 26.

The Sabian Symbols for this Lunar Event read as follows:

THE SUN AT 23 SAGITTARIUS: In New York, Ellis Island welcomes the immigrants. New openings that come to all who are willing to risk self for the sake of greater selfhood. Reorientation. Presumption.

THE MOON AT 23 GEMINI: Three fledglings look out proudly from their high nest. Conscious self-establishment in the soul and its threefold nature. Innate self-confidence. Superiority of real being.

Just after midnight, our Gemini Moon meets Mars in Aquarius by whipping air trine. Sleep may be an elusive thing tonight due this (and the mere fact of the Moon's fullness). There is plenty to think about and plenty out there stirring in the collective emotive body. Following this trine, the Moon is Void until entering Cancer at 7:09 AM.

Wednesday, December 14, 2016

The Moon wakes up in Cancer this morning. This is where the tides begin to rise. This is not what I would call a comfortable Cancer Moon phase. Which makes it even more imperative to be astutely aware of how to handle your own emotionality and your ability to cope in more high emotional circumstances. This Moon will be at odds with most of our sky.

Today, though, is spent mostly in watery landscape colored by a waxing trine from the Moon to Neptune in Pisces which perfects at 10:18 PM. We are prone to retreat. Quiet. Escape. Rest.
I suggest you go full lean into all that. For tomorrow the emotional system is pulled tightly as we try to rectify all that we find ourselves at odds with. You are going to want to be well rested in preparation for that.

Thursday, December 15, 2016

And, so, the friction begins this morning as the Moon stands off with Mercury in Capricorn (also in shadow) at 5:25 AM. Many will be prone to contemplating smashing their alarm clocks this morning. Fine by me. I hate alarm clocks. But, yeah, we'd rather reside in our comfy abodes than be drawn by Saturn to engage in the world at large. Yet we realize we have responsibilities that we must meet. Doesn't mean we are going to like it. But, big Momma Moon takes issue this morning with the barking voice of responsibility and authority. In a literal sense, this can create conflict between matters of home and work. Disputes between Mom and Dad and a need to bring more balance to the whole work/home life dynamic.
Yet, the conflict here exacerbates as the Moon also meets Pluto by opposition at 9:38 AM. Here, threats are possible. Emotional control and/or manipulation efforts come into play. Fear is used as a control tactic and it's not like you are not aware of what is happening. Remember, the only thing truly under your control is you and no one can really make you feel anything unless you voluntarily give them the license to do so. Be aware of someone using your fears against you and use this opportunity to stare down those fears and do what you need to do anyway.

Emotional states are exacerbated and enlarged as the Moon squares Jupiter at 2:08 PM. Do a perspective check. Is this thing really as big as it feels right now? Wherever you are emotionally grows and expands exponentially. So, yes, there is room for euphoria here. But, we are still under Pluto's influence so there is also room for paranoia and fear to blossom. The best use of this energy has us pulling ourselves up and out of the doldrums by reaching out with kindness to our fellow persons. Being nice when you don't feel like being nice. Being generous when you may feel as if you cannot afford to be generous. When you engage in such that IS an act of bravery in and of itself and THAT TOO has potential to spread like an exacerbated contagion just as much as any darker set of emotions.
By 4:37 PM the Moon is agitated by a square to rowdy and rambunctious Uranus in Aries. At it's lowest this is high anxiety and a feeling of twitchiness. At it's highest it is the birth of emotional freedom. Meaning, you choose how you feel and no longer allow that to be dictated to you. You detach from the rhetoric of the world and decide on your own what needs your attention and what does not while telling the rest to find it's way to the door.
To offset the potential at anxiety, remember to reduce your intake of stimulants (by way of your mouth or your eyes). Drink plenty of water. Remain well grounded and know when and where you may need to declare a personal time out. Avoid impulsiveness and instead learn to breathe through the adrenaline rush and rise above the catalyzation toward action so you can effectively respond to emotionally poking or surprising events instead of just react to them.

It's a quite trying and potentially argumentative day. With Mercury in shadow, some of the things we are dealing with both collectively and individually will likely be revisited. So, even though you may think you are making a final decision about something...chances are you will be called back to this table to look over the details a few more times before it is officially “stick a fork in it” done.
The key is to remain grounded and “unfuckwithable” (meaning beholden to a strong emotional fortress or boundary). So, whatever you need to do to achieve that...do it.
Quickly after the square with Uranus, the Moon trines Chiron in Pisces (4:51 PM) encouraging us to acknowledge elusive Chironic issues and lean into effective coping mechanisms which, in this instance, could most definitely include self-isolation or withdraw. Following this aspect, the Moon is Void until entering Leo in the morning. It's a good time to retreat into your shell and indulge in space carved out for personal healing efforts. We've the rest of the evening to metaphorically lick our wounds.

Friday, December 16, 2016

After last night's personal retreat, we feel more rested this morning. It was a wicked backlash kind of Thursday. Over now.

We have a day of a pure Leo Moon which encourages us to dip into what Leo loves best. Joy. Gently. Humbly. Shared. A small spark of warmth under an icy cold sky.
We may reminisce about warmer more youthful days. We may incorporate something from that childhood into our current holiday. That feeling. That warm glow of innocence. No one gave it to you. It originally came from you. Find it. Bring it out to play today.
Joy. How do you do that? Do you remember? It's the best gift.

Saturday, December 17, 2016

Overnight, the Moon opposed Venus in Aquarius at 3:23 AM. Now we find her twirling her way into a sextile with Jupiter in Libra (5:51 PM) followed quickly by a trine to Saturn in Sagittarius (6:24 PM). This is buoyant but also stable and comes with the feeling of a more mature, more solid sense of deliberately fostered joy. Some may use this to put a personalized touch on their heartfelt gifts to friends and family. Some may use it to sign and send their holiday cards. It's enjoyable and warm regardless of how you look at it. The seeds of joy we planted yesterday are growing and multiplying. We light hopeful candles...

Then, our infectious feelings of joy spread as the Moon in Leo dances with saucy Uranus in Aries at 7:57 PM.
This is a good day. A whirlwind of warmth in the midst of an icy cold season. A soft glow surrounds us. Let it in. However, that looks for you. Encircle the hearth.

Sunday, December 18, 2016

The glow we fell asleep with continues to burn this morning as we up under a warm fire trine between the Moon in Leo and Sun in Sagittarius (7:27 AM). Good cheer continues.
At 11:56 AM the Moon comes into opposition with Mars in Aquarius causing a bit of friction and ambiguity. We may find ourselves set apart or at odds with a particular group. Feeling as if we don't fit in or don't align with the group's agenda. Remain true to yourself while accepting others as they stand...walking away if you need to.

Know that such friction can work to spoil what was otherwise an amicable gathering...if you allow it.
Following this opposition, the Moon is briefly void until entering Virgo at 12:52 PM. The inner Hermit emerges and the gatherings begin to dwindle. We retreat to our cottages ready for a bit of reprieve.
Tomorrow is a new day in many ways. Mars' time in Aquarius is finishing. He enters Pisces at 4:23 AM Monday morning. Meanwhile, Mercury stations retrograde at 5:49 AM. Call it an early night tonight. But, only after you have shuffled things about so that your morning routine goes off without a hitch. Mercury Rx will be working against you in the AM. So, make sure you do what you can tonight to be efficiently and all Virgo prepared while allowing yourself more time than you may typically require to get where you need to go tomorrow morning. With Mercury acting all crazy and the Moon in Virgo opposing Neptune as the Sun rises, there's bound to be something...

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of December 5 to December 11, 2016

Monday, December 5, 2016

This morning we wake up to an Aquarius Moon leaving a trine with Jupiter in Libra (midnight) and an overnight sextile to Saturn in Sagittarius (1:36 AM). She then moves on to a conjunction with Mars at 3:50 AM and sextile with Uranus at 6:24 AM. Following these movements she is Void until entering Pisces at 11:32 PM. As I type this, I have one thing in mind. Standing Rock. Children, this is a dispute over sacred indigenous land and clean water rights. But, it is also much bigger than that. It's about the water quality of our entire nation and how it is under threat from corporate greed all undercover of a veil of “progress” and other lies. I'm a sideline player here. Attempting to educate folks in my little neck of the woods. Weeding through the bureaucracy in an attempt to let folks know, this is NOT just an indigenous issue. It is indigenous people working to protect all of us that inhabit this country and this planet. Today is Standing Rock's evacuation date as we head toward a First Quarter Moon at 4:04 AM on the 7th that perfects between the signs of Pisces (Water) and Sagittarius (Government/World). What happens this week in regard to Standing Rock is going to be a big deal to ALL of us. There are many ways each of us can support this movement. Financially. With our presence. By spreading awareness/education. By caring. Praying. Writing letters. Making calls. It's important. With the sign of Aquarius in play by way of both Mars and Venus (enters Aquarius on December 7) plus the added push of Uranus in Aries this IS the time to make progress on issues of social reform and for collaborative movements. Plus, Mars' ingress into Pisces on December 19 (Water Warrior) is equally important here. So, be aware. Be involved. Be active. If you cannot be physically present, know the quality of the water in your very own backyard is just as important. There is a local job for you in that arena, too. Of course, there are many other issues that are likely to crop up in regard to a call to large collective grassroots social movements. But, this movement is the one I'm watching this week, for sure. This is not the time for denial or sleep. Wake up. Get involved in the world around you. Come out from under your bed and be heard. Overall, this is a week for activism, unity and grassroots efforts aimed at positive social change.

Ok. For the most part, we are looking at a Void Moon most of the day. That is not to say that nothing is due to occur. What it means is that the emotional body is rather latent and what DOES occur will stir less of an emotional reaction than it would if the Moon were active. That also doesn't mean we won't feel anything. It means we are numbed, temporarily, as events unfold. It can, indeed, be like experiencing shock. Yet, those emotions don't exactly go away. They can absolutely lay latent and come gushing out as the Moon reactivates...in Pisces, no less.

Tuesday, December 6, 2016

This morning we wake up to the Pisces Moon sextile Mercury in Capricorn at 8:29 AM. This is good for facilitating communication and enhances our ability to convey how we feel or what we need. However. It is imperative to remember that Neptune is involved here. While this is the very thing that brings us closer to our intuitive and compassionate bodies, it also makes deception, veils and false promises a strong possibility. Remain grounded. Yes. Listen to your intuitive/emotive body and allow that energy to come through in your communications. But, know the lesser of this energy is out there. Engage discernment. Fact check. Ask for clarification when you need it and, subsequently, check that the messages you are delivering are being received as intended. Be responsible (Capricorn) for what you say (Mercury). Get it in writing...and notarized or something.

Mercury is in shadow right now, too. You can expect certain themes from this time period to be repeated in the near future. Listen for echoes. Mercury officially sextiles Neptune on December 10 at 3:26 AM. His building energy as he waxes into this aspect accompanied by his “slowed” motion as he prepares to turn retrograde are going to lift Mercury up in prevalence this week. Not to mention future weeks as he pushes toward Pluto only to turn retrograde a little over a degree away from an exact conjunction on December 19.
Another important aspect waxes in within the confines of today. Mars in Aquarius marches into sextile with Uranus in Aries at 10:30 PM. Mars and Uranus have been in mutual reception for some time. Now, their powers are officially “locked in.” This is not a harsh aspect. As a matter of fact, at it's highest it is ingenious, precise, future-minded, acts on behalf of the collective, is actively engaged in peaceful grassroots efforts in support of positive change that is beneficial to all. Mars/Uranus is a mixture that is extremely powerful. However, it is not the easiest energy to control.
At it's worst, Mars/Uranus is dangerously explosive, uncontrollably impulsive, erratically violent...a loose cannon. On crack. And, pissed off. The last thing it wants is to conform to any damn thing or be told what to do...or controlled. This makes it even harder to manage. Adrenaline pumps. Bodies want to respond quickly. We feel as if we are in an emergent situation. Breath stops. Energy wants to just explode out into random directions. Volatile. Wildfire.

However, once you can harness the adrenaline. Breathe through the rise in pulse. You can direct this energy. It is electric. It should be treated as such. You know how that goes, right? Grounded. Well insulated (boundaries) and...speaking of throwing a toaster in your bathtub...
Electricity and water don't necessarily mix well. Don't we have a whole lot of Neptune going on in this day too? Mercury waxing into sextile with Neptune. Pisces Moon. That runs into the Sea God himself at 4:36 PM, just a few hours prior to this electrical movement finds critical mass.
Used appropriately and this is a glorious sky. Used with negative intent and it becomes horrific. Says the girl that has a Neptuned out Moon, Mercury in Shock Therapy (in Scorpio 11th house) and Sun/Mars/Uranus all conjunct. I know a thing or two about managing this energy. And, failing at managing it, too. Oddly, you will find that what is beneficial for one is also beneficial for the other.

Saturn. At his strongest. I'll be darned if there isn't plenty out there to be had, too. A mixture of Jupiter to Saturn by way of Saturn in Sagittarius AND through transit as Jupiter from Libra is within orb of a sextile. Not to mention Pluto power by way of Capricorn and channeled through Mercury. Grounding. Integrity. Boundaries. Fortitude. Purpose. Determination. Focus...yes, even with all this Neptune.
Eat well. Drink plenty of water and while you are at it be grateful that you have clean water to drink!!Refrain from over-ingesting stimulants. Breathe. Touch the Earth. Be compassionate but maintain clear boundary. Be wary of over-stimulation by way of technology as well. Find that quiet inner place. Wall it up around you and operate from there. We are all a little more sensitive, a little more reactive and a little more prone to being cattle prodded into mindless action today. Don't allow yourself to succumb to that. Act (Mars) mindfully (Uranus). Speak (Mercury) with purpose, integrity (Capricorn) and compassion (Neptune). Think (Mercury) about collaborative (Uranus) compassionate (Neptune) purposeful (Saturn) movements (Mars). To fully beneficially engage this, you must remember to PAUSE. Breathing is equally important. Do it on purpose. Even if NOTHING happens, know that many will feel as if they are waiting for that final shoe to drop...on edge...sensitive...reactive...wild eyed...impulsive. The same coping techniques apply. Saturn.

Our Tuesday ends as our First Quarter Moon begins. This perfects between the signs of Pisces (Moon) and Sagittarius (Sun) at 4:04 AM...a few hours before dawn on Wednesday. This occurs at 15 Mutable 14 and includes a sextile from the Moon to Pluto that perfects at 4:52 AM.

Sabian symbol for the Moon at 16 Pisces: In a quiet museum an art student drinks in inspiration. Subjective source of strength around all manifestation. Communion with accumulated race power. Deep, vibrant realization.

Sabian symbol for the Sun at 16 Sagittarius: A calm ocean; a motionless ship; lazily soaring seagulls. The moments of pause which sustain and presage change. Alert readiness to act or distress at not knowing what lies ahead.

Wednesday, December 7, 2016

If you read my forecasts from day to day, before we get started here you might want to check in with Tuesday for a review.
This morning we wake up under the pressure of our First Quarter Moon which is followed by a Moon/Pluto sextile at 4:52 AM. From here, Mercury meets Mars by minor aspect as the Moon forms an inconjunct with Jupiter (8:00 AM). Next comes the more harsh aspect of Moon in Pisces square Saturn at 9:06 AM. Sobering and potentially depressing; but it does, also, bring access to dry land and truth. I'm not saying those truths won't be harsh. Most “truth” is cumbersome to deal with as Saturn resides in Sagittarius. But, it's real. Grounding efforts and boundaries mix well here as well as gathering emotional support. Perspective is equally important.

Following this square, Venus breezes into Aquarius. Values shift. Then, the Moon meets Chiron by way of conjunction at 12:58 PM. Here she is Void until entering the warrior sign of Aries at 5:17 AM.
That Moon/Chiron conjunction sends the Moon into Void status like a dull gong. There is a lot stirring. Plenty to think about. Plenty to consider before the Moon wakes up in the morning. It all swirls and stirs and stews throughout the rest of the day and into the night.

Thursday, December 8, 2016

This morning, we are awake. The Moon has entered initiating Aries and is waxing toward a sextile with Venus newly in Aquarius at 7:03 AM. Venus in Aquarius brings appreciation to all things Aquarian and Uranian. She appreciates collaborative social efforts and causes. She values concepts of community and tribes. She frolics in independence, freedom and higher intelligences.

We are going to need her. From here, the tension begins to exacerbate between the signs of Aries and Capricorn. At 6:44 PM the Moon is square Mercury. The clash is between establishment and innovation. A need for initiative meets with rules and regulations. Arguments can ensue as conversations become heated. As well as a rise in resistance to what we are being sternly told. Or, the message from upper level leadership, quite simply, pisses us straight off. Mind and emotion are at a stand off here. Proper self-assertion and accountability are what should be our guiding lights in handling this.

Friday, December 9, 2016

Paranoia and emotional control efforts dawn this morning as the Moon in Aries squares off with Pluto in Capricorn at 8:53 AM. At it's highest, we face down our darkest fears and bravely engage. We feel the deep cravings in our guts and proactively push toward its satiation. At it's lowest, it is violent, forceful, controlling and slimy.
At noon, we are actively whipped up in a fire trine between the Moon in Aries and Sun in Sagittarius. Fuel.

A few minutes later (12:17 PM), the Aries Moon stands off with truth, justice, balance, equality, peace-making (at it's highest), passive aggressiveness and avoidance (at it's lowest). The warrior is sent to congeniality school. Then, our warrior is reminded of his truest purpose by way of a fire trine with Saturn in Sagittarius. Hold on to that compass...that guiding light of faith...that purpose, that truth. Because, this day keeps going. Pace yourself.
The Moon finds revolutionary Uranus at 4:25 PM just as the Sun in Sagittarius joins Jupiter in Libra by sextile (4:40 PM). Sparks are flying. We are moving and shaking. A veritable collective wildfire that seems to seer the edges of consciousness. Then, at 8:07 PM, the Moon in Aries goes to war with an entire tribal entourage by way of a sextile to Mars in Aquarius. Yet, following this aspect, the Moon is Void until entering Taurus tomorrow morning at 7:42 AM.
Tomorrow, it is likely that a footprint in personal and collective history will be made. With a stomp. Be fueled. Be active. But, also be purpose-filled, mindful, well grounded and personally accountable to manage today's energy best. The answer, across the board, is Saturn.
Meanwhile, Mercury finishes perfection in sextile to Neptune at 3:26 AM.

Saturday, December 10, 2016

Consequence comes home to nest as the roosters start crowing at 6:52 AM. If you acted purposely and maintained a sense of wisdom, perspective, inclusion, self-control and direction over the course of this week, you'll know it. If not, you'll know it, too. This is where the stomp on the timeline of your personal and our collective history is made. I hope it is deliberately and purposely placed. Either way, accountability is more than a thing today. Being aware of YOUR journey. Sharing your truth. Astute aim and purpose. It all culminates here...in this moment. The hammer falls...the arrow flies...authority slams.

At 7:42 AM the Moon reactivates in Taurus. Heals are dug in. But, emotions are stabilized. For a minute. Long enough to catch our collective breath before our cow Moon squares off with Venus in Aquarius at 1:38 PM.
Our Moon is ruled by Venus. But, this movement pits want (Venus) against need (Moon). This is not the Venus that Taurus knows. So, yes, there is some discomfort there. It pits what we individually may need (comfort, stability, leisure) against what the collective (Aquarius) wants (Venus).
The call to stabilization is going to win out here, I believe. But, following this square there are a slew of minor aspects that work to color in personal nuance to the situations at hand. Then, finally, the Moon does begin to soften and subdue as she sextiles Neptune in Pisces. Overnight, stabilization continues with a trine from the Moon to Mercury in Capricorn at midnight. This is followed by an empowering and “rise from the ashes” type of Earth trine between the Moon and Pluto at 9:55 AM tomorrow.

Sunday, December 11, 2016

As Mercury moves away from his sextile with Neptune, blurs in communication begin to dry out. Facts rise to the surface like driftwood. Last night's Mercury/Moon trine helped with this. It brought common sense to the table as well as quelled and stabilized the emotional body. This morning we wake up to a powerful Earth trine between the Moon in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn at 9:55 AM.
The Moon is then gently poked and prodded by Jupiter, Saturn and the Sun by way of inconjunct. At 5:01 PM, we are poked a bit more and reminded of our biases and trigger points by way of a lunar sextile to Chiron.

Meanwhile the Sun becomes increasingly revolutionary by way of a waxing fire trine to Uranus in Aries. The problem with that is the Taurus Moon. While very sturdy and wonderfully uplifted in this sign, this Moon doesn't typically “compute” revolution....not to mention change. But, this fire trine is ALL about it. This becomes exacerbated by the Moon squaring off with Mars in Aquarius at 11:05 PM. Our Cow Moon isn't so comfortable with any of this. But, if you can give her an incentive and something of value to aim for she can better access the powers coming from her current ruler, Venus in Aquarius. From here, she is Void until entering Gemini at 7:42 AM on Monday morning.

On a low end, this energy is anxious. As in, folks with anxiety issues could sincerely feel an uptick in that today. Adrenaline rises once again right as we are sitting down for a piece of rich chocolate cake...dammit. That is NOT comfortable. But, it can use it's powers to push for comfort, stability and the higher motives of Aquarius. I wouldn't want to stand off with a bunch of pissed off and hungry bulls united against a common cause...would you? Nah. I think I'll side with the bulls...thank you very much. Or get the hell out of the way.
Shortly after this Fire trine finds full force, the Sun also squares off with Chiron in Pisces and we become hyper aware of all these previously denied personal issues, biases, addictions, illnesses that are blocking us on our journey. Let the awareness happen. Incorporate it into your self-knowledge. But do not let it stop you. More importantly, disallow it's sickness and pain to continue to control you. Develop more effective coping mechanisms instead.
