Morning Star: Astrology for the Week of December 13 to December 19, 2015

Sunday, December 13, 2015

Early this morning (4:04 AM), the Moon in Capricorn met up with the Lord of the Underworld. Dreams could have held shadows, become nightmarish or revealed information from the deepest wells of our subconscious. By 8:03 AM, we find the Moon in square to Uranus in Aries sparking many out of bed early for a Sunday. Shortly after, she finds Chiron in Pisces by sextile (8:48 AM).

As the day moves forward, the potential for ambiguity waxes in with a Lunar square to Mars in Libra at (10:48 AM). This brings a struggle between leisure and the desire for socialization against responsibility. Our chores are important but so is our need for rest. Balance them out. Of course, Mars in Libra could have us procrastinating on both for so long that we don't end up engaging in anything until it's too late.
At the end of the Moon's travels through Capricorn, she meets Jupiter in Virgo by trine. The work we did accomplish brings a sense of satisfaction and pride. Or, the time spent in relaxation and with friends has helped us feel more stable and joyful. From here, the Moon is Void until entering Aquarius at 7:59 AM tomorrow.

Monday, December 14, 2015

This morning the Moon is VOC until entering Aquarius. From here, the Sun begins waxing into square with Jupiter in Virgo at 10:03 AM. The negative end of that is a series of over-blown egos, self-righteousness, boasting and self-importance. Folks could come on strong. On the positive end, when Jupiter in Virgo is expressed at it's highest, humility mixes with generosity while practical wisdom overlays a propensity for warmth.
Mercury in Capricorn is also waxing into a sextile with Neptune (2:40 PM). This softens Capricorn's typically harsh speech and brings compassion to leadership. Lies as well as making dreamy plans for the future are also indicated. It's a good day for creative thinking and good music to keep the work in harmonious flow.

Know forgetfulness could be a thing. Keys may be lost. Cell phones dropped in water...that sort of thing. Minds are a little unfocused and time may seem to drag slowly by.
At midnight, the Moon is in sextile to her traditional ruler, Saturn giving us stable emotional ground to rest our heads for the night.

Tuesday, December 15, 2015

This morning, our Aquarian Moon is in square to Venus in Scorpio. Our logical vulcan-like emotions do not understand the deep attachment we have to our possessions, values and loved ones. Love and deep desire typically have no logical explanation and this does not sit well in our emotional body today. This configuration also allows us to detach a bit from our obsessions giving them less power over us. Temptations and seductive attempts have less impact today. Unhealthy and consuming passions along with our of obsession to control and keep these things makes no sense to this Moon. We didn't own the thing to begin with. We are all free, says the Aquarian Moon. At the very least, this lunar movement could find it hard to foster a sense of comfort. There's a pea under your mattress or we can't sit our in favorite chair...that sort of thing.

Shortly after mid-day (1:20 PM), the Moon finds Uranus in Aries by sextile and our motors rev just a little. We are able to detach from more uncomfortable situations and look toward new and experimental concepts. Friends are a welcomed and we are inclined to engage in progressive or socially conscious group activities.
That energy continues as the Moon finds Mars in Libra by trine at 6:24 PM. Overall, it looks like a pretty arid day. Conversations flow. Ideas are birthed and exchanged. Collaborations are highlighted and intelligent dialogue addresses current issues. Plus, on a less serious note, it's a good evening spent with friends for light conversation and socialization without a lot of emotional pressure.

Things could even get a bit adventurous if the party continues into the wee hours of the morning. The Moon meets the Sagittarian Sun at 2:17 AM. Late night socialization on a school night? For shame! LOL! Grab your good times when you can, folks.
From here, the Moon is Void until entering Pisces at 12:45 PM tomorrow.

Wednesday, December 16, 2015

The Moon in Aquarius if Void all morning. This makes it hard for us to “get into” whatever it is we have ahead of us early in the day. We just kind of robotic-ally go through the motions.
At 12:45 PM the Moon enters Pisces which certainly doesn't increase our motivations but, instead, brings a strong emotional component back into our sphere.

The rest of the day the Moon waxes toward a conjunction with Neptune. We are tired. Emotionally sensitive. Maybe even weepy or emotionally foggy. Forgetfulness, again, comes into play as well as the possibility for confusion and lethargy. This conjunction occurs at 1:20 AM. We likely sleep deeply and maybe even go to bed early tonight.

Thursday, December 17, 2015

Waking up following a Moon/Neptune conjunction is not easy. However, responsibility is calling as the Moon squares off with Saturn at 5:14 AM. We begrudgingly pull our grouchy selves out of bed and enter the day. Afterall, we need to go to work in order to better ensure our finances so sayeth a trine from Venus in Scorpio to Pluto in Capricorn. It's time to mine the diamonds and build upon our resources. This is good energy to be responsible in matters of love and money. Pay your debts and send out your invoices for money owed to you. Plus, strong and loyal support can be found in our most trusted relationships at this time. Intimacy grows and if you play your cards right, so could the numbers in your bank account. Stick to your budget and spend responsibly. Keep your ears open for news about current economical matters especially those that deal with the IRS. It's also a good time to get a jump start on your taxes..yay...fun. Temptation becomes an emotional affair..by the way.

At 8:25 AM the Moon is in sextile to Mercury in Capricorn. Our speech is affected by our Mood. And the information we consume, in turn, affects how we feel. Creative plans can be delineated into practical steps. You may discover that dream you have can be achieved with planning and a bit of hard work.
By mid-evening (1:58 PM) the Moon is fortified, grounded, strengthened and deepened by a sextile to Pluto in Capricorn. Emotions run deep and we find deeper meaning in whatever we are trying to rebuild or newly construct. This is followed by a deep sense of satisfaction as the Moon finds Venus in Scorpio by trine at 2:40 PM.

It was hard enough to get out of bed this morning. We toiled in the midst of the day. Isn't it time for a break and bit of reward for our ambitions? Indeed it is time to begin putting away our work toils and prepare to embark upon a bit of relaxation. While in the process of doing so, protect and be wary of your triggers and the potential for emotional leakage as the Moon finds Chiron by conjunction at 6:23 PM. Look to soothe your aches with gentle loving care while refraining from blowing emotional situation out of proportion as the Moon waxes toward an opposition with Jupiter (3:42 AM). Aim to feel better instead of worse. Because Pisces Moon's are so sensitive they do feel certain emotions more acutely than any other type of Moon. Mainly because they not only bear the impact of their own emotions but often are afflicted by the emotional nature of others for better or worse. Try to look on the bright side and look at things from a wide and practical perspective. Don't allow yourself to get “sucked in” to emotional matters that, in reality, have very little to do with you.

Friday, December 18, 2015

Today we experience our First Quarter Moon at 10:15 AM. This pits tension against our Pisces emotional body and our Sagittarian egos. What is it that conflict between these two? Religion vs Spirituality? Knowledge versus the unknown or misunderstood? Wisdom versus compassion? Adventurous travels versus the need for a nap?
Pisces and Sagittarius do answer to a common traditional ruler, Jupiter. So, perspective, practicality and an aim toward the service of others with generosity pleases both signs. This is also good energy to dream or foster creative vision toward the future.

The First Quarter (which can at times create a sense of emotional crisis) occurs at 26 Pisces/Sagittarius 22 with the following Sabians:

Sabian for the Sun at 27 Sagittarius: The sculptor's vision is taking form under his hands. Mastery of formative intelligence over substance. Sure characterization and understanding. Permanent expression.

Sabian for the Moon at 27 Pisces: The harvest moon rises in translucent autumnal skies. The power of creative visualization by which great Dreamers transcend outer reality. Complete dominance of circumstance.

Bring form to your dreams. Construct YOUR OWN reality and allow that which pulls your ship under to dissolve and disappear. From here, the Moon is VOC until entering Aries at 4:27 PM...calling the “dreamers” to wake up and get moving. The Moon then begins waxing into trine with Saturn in Sagittarius bringing emotions to ground and calling us to take responsible and diligent steps forward. Put your creative plans/dreams (and the intentions you set under the New Moon) into practical application. It's time to get started. That “push” deepens under tomorrow's sky.

Saturday, December 19, 2015

Our Aries Moon is hungry today. Be sure to feed the warrior well. And, also be observant of the potential paranoia that can accompany our Mercury/Pluto conjunction at 1:54 PM. Some may find themselves cursing like a sailor while others are delivering staunch orders in leadership leaving those receiving the order little option. A warrior must answer to his commander even if he is unsure of the entire agenda. If there is trust between worker and leadership, this task is less taxing. However, if employees are suspicious they are less likely to accept orders unless they know the whole plan.
It's a good idea to research what you are asked to be engaged in by the powers that be. Emotional control could be a factor as the Moon also squares off with Pluto at 5:19 PM.

With this set up, some of our deepest emotional fears may come to the surface. The best use of this energy is to be brave enough to face that potential and to begin preparing back up plans in the event they do manifest. However, the energy can be quite forceful and have subservient motive.
There is a chance to hear powerful speeches from leadership today. Ones that demand order in the ranks or even one's that expose problems that need to be addressed in an effort to keep the entire organization from crumbling. Some will be grasping at straws and fighting to maintain the status quo while others will be ready for change and excavation.
With the potential for force also comes the strength. There is a strong sense of resolve in this day. The problem with that is when your resolve goes head to head with the resolve of another. Stand your ground but don't discount the importance of being proactive in analyzing the psychological concepts being brought forth from both yourself and others.

Either way, conversations are anything but light and emotions are highly effected by this fact as the Moon squares off with Mercury at 5:42 PM. We could be inclined to grit our teeth at times. And, believe it or not, long held secrets could actually emerge quite quickly today. Make sure your mind is not cluttered with paranoia and greed as you make plans to engage and be wary of the potential for injury (specifically broken bones and maybe even a few knocked out teeth) if engaging in athletics or sports. Car accidents could be quite deadly under this sky. So be sure your attention is engaged acutely. Focus is certainly accessible.
At the end of the day, we are done with being bossed around, told how to feel and told how to think. We are ready to bust loose from those shackles and opt for taking action of our own accord...independently. Have you ever heard that song, “Take this job and shove it” or seen the movie Falling Down? Because both these media concepts come to mind under the energy of this sky. Or, do you remember the part in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation where the crazy cousin kidnaps Mr. Griswold's boss because he shorted them on their Christmas bonus? Yeah..crazy impulsive revolts like that are entirely possible.

Instead of leaning toward impulsiveness, breathe through the adrenaline surge and rise above the immediacy of the situation. Bear in mind the long term effects of your actions and don't be afraid to step out of your place as a cog in the wheel if you discover that is what is best for you. In the most mundane, be willing to try something new. Be inventive in your engaging approach and experiment with new ways to handle folks who try to control your mind or emotions. That new way may be to simply tell them to “fuck off” for some. For the Uranian-inclined like myself, this is pretty much old hat. I do caution you against pre-emptively blowing things up if you begin feeling the prickly anticipation brought forth by Moon/Uranus. Anxiety could be a thing. Don't respond in and emergent manner to something that is truly not an emergency. Reducing your intake of stimulants around midday will help quell the chance for anxiousness in the evening.
