Morning Star: Astrology for the week of October 25 through October 31, 2015

Sunday, October 25, 2015

Our subdued Void Pisces Moon Saturday is over. This morning we wake up to the Moon in Aries creating a nice stabilizing trine with Saturn in Sagittarius at 7:48 AM. This is good news. Mercury and Venus are fairly active today. It will be nice to greet their energy from an energetic but stable position. At 11:30 AM, Mercury creates an inconjunct with Chiron in Pisces. This is followed later in the day by a conjunction from Venus to Jupiter (4:04 PM) and an opposition from Mercury to Uranus (7:00 PM).

I'm getting visions of the cartoon marketing character “Mr. Clean” when considering these two aspects. Venus conjunct Jupiter is indulgent and relaxing for the most part. But, consider their current placement in Virgo. How would someone with an appreciation of Virgo relax? With a good book, perhaps? By checking things off on their to do list? By organizing and cleaning their space? That is relaxing? For me it is. I have Venus in Virgo. Cleaning brings a certain type of inner peace and comfort to me. But, that is not the only way to use the energy. You can indulge in whatever pleasure appeals to you but I recommend keeping it practical. You know? Indulge in a piece of cake if that is your cup of tea; but, don't eat the whole dang thing. Don't over-indulge, in other words, to the point that you make yourself sick. Another way this can play out is bringing joy (Jupiter) to service (Virgo) and benefit (Jupiter/Venus) from being practical and orderly. Your Virgo skills pay off here. You see? We reap and enjoy the fruits of the final harvest. Indulging for Venus in Virgo could also include buying new school supplies. Pens, notebooks, books...or even just visiting the library are practical comforts this placement enjoys. Finding comfort in the “everyday” and the “routine” is also a nice way for this conjunction to play out. Small pleasures. Practical comforts. Joy in the simple.

Mercury is in brand new territory, now, having left his shadow and finishing his 3rd square with Pluto last week. Now, in opposition to Uranus in Aries, the Me/We continuum is re-ignited and brought forth into the equation in a new way. Uranus in Aries is the monicker of self-reliance and independence. Sure, it can be the angry rebel, the furious inventor, the catalyzing force of change. But, his highest main objective is to encourage us to cut the cord on our dependencies as much as we can. Examples of this? The tiny home trend (which makes Venus/Jupiter in Virgo do joyful back flips) that allows folks to operate without the weight (dependency) of a mortgage. Solar energy and other ways to become independent of public utilities is another agenda this placement pushes. It's also in charge of progressive social groups and motivated individuals who are determined to bring change to the world (some with wonderful intent, some with subservient agendas...but all change pushers just the same). So, what does an opposition to Mercury bring to the equation?

On a positive level, collaborating with others in an effort to foster creative change through brain storming and friendly exchange of ideas is a wonderful way to express this energy. What doesn't work so well is putting too much emphasis on the opinions of others to a degree that it debases your ability to think for yourself. This opposition can also pack some nervousness and anxiety. However, if you've leaned into the wonderful practicality brought by Venus/Jupiter and taken full advantage of the grounding potential brought by Moon/Saturn, you'll handle that potential with much more ease. Inspiration can bring nervousness in a good way through anticipation.
Yet, if you allow the Venus/Jupiter energy to steer toward the negative...becoming overly critical (of self or others) or overly selfish in regard to your own agenda then the opposition of Mercury to Uranus could spark arguments. Channeling the positive expressions of each, though, can spark fresh new ideas for the future in which we collaborate while maintaining an air of decorum within the discussion so as not to debase the original purpose.

At 11:28 PM the Moon is in square to Pluto in Capricorn. If we've managed the energy in the meat of the day to it's highest, then this square can provide insight into the depths of our problems at hand and give us opportunity to apply some of the solutions we obtained during collaboration. Yet, the negative swing of these energies could turn us into blood thirsty control freaks under Moon/Pluto. Paranoid. Greedy. Plus, the way we handle today's energy has a tendency to trickle and flow over into our tomorrow. So, work diligently to keep your feet on the ground and err toward the practical. Retain your ability to think for yourself but don't be afraid to collaborate with others in an effort to gather more information that may be applicable to your situation. Clean and organize your external space and allow “as without; so within” to play out in your personal sphere as that “clean, organized and practical energy” enters and affects your body, mind and spirit. Mercury and Uranus produce electrical current. Be sure you have your “wires” well insulated and grounded to make an effective circuit. There's plenty of opportunity to do that today.

It's also a good idea to really focus on grounding today due the fact we have a Full Moon waxing in due to perfect on Tuesday morning. Emotions are growing along with the blossoming Moon that is coming to the sign of Taurus. Get thy feet firmly on the ground. Literally, even. Like take your shoes off and let your feet touch the ground.

Monday, October 26, 2015

Wakey, wakey! Rise and Shine! Another Monday is calling! Loudly! This morning we wake up to the Moon in Aries conjunct the Lightning God, Uranus at 6:58 AM. The alarm clock rings clearly and loudly shocking us out of our slumber. Time to get up and go! Yes, anxiety and headaches are possible. But, so is a fire being lit under our collective arses to get up and do something.
This aspect also re-ignites the waning opposition of Mercury to Uranus which perfected yesterday. The Moon opposes Mercury in Libra at 8:26 AM bringing punctuation to the importance of yesterday's grounding/organizational efforts (or non-efforts). You'll definitely feel the difference this morning.
After this early morning opposition to Mercury, the Moon is Void until entering Taurus tonight at 2:08 AM. So, how we start the day does bear importance because the echoes of that “start” resound dully throughout the rest of the day. We are poked by a cattle prod early. How we handle it depends on how well we can absorb and process that collective “shock.” Don't forget, the main thing is not to get overly excited. Ground it out.

In the most practical sense, if you can escape the potential of anxiety and headaches, this is a great day to get a running start on projects that have frayed ends. Nip and tuck. Sew and stitch.

Tuesday, October 27, 2015

The Full Moon blossoms this morning at 8:06 AM in the sign of Taurus. The Sun/Moon opposition occurs at 3 Taurus/Scorpio 45 and is dubbed “The Full Frost Moon.” This officially heralds the end of the “harvest” in most parts of the Northern Hemisphere. Night is overtaking the daytime. It's time to turn the dirt over and let it rest until next years' Spring planting. Overlay that metaphor onto your life. What did you grow? What did you learn? What brought bountiful harvest and what efforts fell flat?
Venus, the Moon's ruler, in opposition to Chiron punctuates this assessment allowing us to take a clear and practical look at our shortcomings. Where can we put forth better effort? Where are we wasting our care giving and serving energy? How are we hurting ourselves by being overly self-critical? Are we over-doing in our “helping” because we believe it will fill some empty hole inside of us? Or are we completely filled up so that it trickles over giving us extra to share? Only you can answer that question. But, the answers to those questions are hugely informative on a personal level.

At 1:32 PM the Moon is sextile to Neptune bringing softening to our Full Moon. This creates clay...in metaphorical land. Wonderful shape-able clay that can be used to create just about anything we want. The energy brought forth from the Full Moon brings what is deeply inside us out into tangible reality. Regardless of what that inside out product looks like, the energy from Neptune will help us smooth out the rough edges and shape it into something we can eventually use. Of course, emotion and creativity are called for in that exercise. Put your hands in the mud. Shape it. Mold it. Create in the tangible world.
By 11:16 PM the Moon is in rich trine with Pluto. The potential of expression and creation is accentuated. Our creation is taking solid form. The Moon is also waxing into trine with Jupiter in Virgo (3:50 AM). Such grounding, uplifting and supportive Earth energy is on hand. Taking advantage of that includes getting real. Smoothness. Diligence. Practicality. Grounded efforts with sustainable results. Cutting through the bullshit and getting down to the true business at hand are the ways to go. Overcoming fear and dealing in the realm of reality. And...by the way...it's a really good day for sex magic. It's a really good day for sex, period, and indulging in pleasures of the body and of the tangible. Manifestation is also entirely possible. Fertility is likely high. It's the deepest of the deep and the highest of the high when viewed from a stable emotional position. Act on the massive grounding support of the rich dark Earth energy accessible here. It holds tremendous healing and regenerative potential.

All in all, I see a lot of mud in today. In the real world, we could hear of actual mudslides. Why? Remember this metaphor? “It's time to turn the dirt over and let it rest until next years' Spring planting.” Well, Mother Nature already knows this. Deterioration will become apparent with the Sun in Scorpio and Pluto re-tracing the final few degrees (for a third time) he has to go before he exits his shadow and officially enters brand new territory. Decay is brought to focus. Jupiter's involvement shines a spotlight on the fistula while the Moon stands strong in assessment from her knee deep position within the mud. It's all real. The effects are tangible. What will you make from it? Will you allow it to embitter you? Will trial make you stronger? Will you learn from your mistakes? Scorched Earth has the potential to eventually be wonderfully fertile ground. What has happened has happened. All that is left for us to do is fix what is in dis-repair and heal as we continue to move forward...through the rich full moonlit swamp.

Wednesday, October 28, 2015

Nighttime is chased away in the swamp by daylight this morning. The Moon in Taurus meets Venus in Virgo adding to the Earth Trine energy an appreciation for helping others, making order out of chaos, sorting through via triage and remaining practical (7:23 AM). Motivation follows desire as the Moon subsequently finds Mars in Virgo by trine at midday (11:21 AM). We aren't moving quickly. But, we are moving steadily...bringing completion to tasks one at a time. Step by step. Trudge by trudge. Progress is slow but sturdy.

Follow the momentum. From the trine with Mars, the Moon is Void until entering Gemini at 2:25 AM.

Thursday, October 29, 2015

We move from yesterday's slow plodding clean-up into today's potential for overwhelm. We wake up to the Moon in Gemini opposing Saturn in Sagittarius. It's a long hard journey ahead. There are many tasks requiring your attention. There is a part of you that wants to rush in and tackle them all at once. There is another part of you that wants to throw a blanket over it and pretend it isn't there. There may be a third part that just wants to melt into the ground in tears and exhaustion because it's just...so...much.

Deeeep breath. Find your truth. Find your faith. Find your patience. And, put all that to work. Deal with what is right in front of you first. Then, move on to the next thing. Then, the next thing and whatever. But, don't worry about the next thing until you deal with the thing at hand first. Pull your focus in on what needs to be dealt with first. Keep your long-term goal in mind but be able to pull yourself into the step you are in right now in order to get there. Remain flexible and practical. Remember where our “benefics” are (Venus and Jupiter) in Virgo. Take everything and put it in order according to priority. Line it out instead of letting it all pile on top of you.

The Moon moves from her opposition with Saturn into a square with Neptune in Pisces at 2:11 PM. Boundaries blur. Rules bend. Compassion comes with boundaries while some boundaries are blurred by compassion and empathy. Perspective shifts. Gray and uncertain areas appear. Questions arise. Dizziness and a general feeling of depressed malaise is entirely possible. On the same note, blockages could be dissipate. Or confusion could meet with stabilization. The veil is not even paper thin. Reality is completely transparent. The Moon subsequently waxes into square with Jupiter overnight (5:49 AM). Whatever Saturn/Moon/Neptune brings...it grows exponentially under the cover of night.

Friday, October 30, 2015

This morning a sextile from Uranus to the Moon right after dawn fosters a sense of hope and potentially, inspiration (8:04 AM). We still have the brief sense of potential overwhelm to deal with but our give-a-damn breaks just enough to enable us to handle it more effectively.
By early afternoon the Moon is in square to Venus in Virgo (12:49 PM) reminding us to steer away from fickleness and steer toward the practical. Keep sorting. Keep up the triage. Keep dealing with one mess at a time instead of trying to tackle everything at once. Help where you can. Ask for help when you are in need. Remain humble and focused.

Airy Mercury and Earthy Mercury energy continues to mix and swirl as the Moon in Gemini next finds Mars in Virgo (3:24 PM). Again, motivation follows desire. Don't just think about fixing something. Get busy doing it. Whittle down your options.
Meanwhile, the Sun perfects in trine to Neptune in Pisces today (5:06 PM). We are dreamy, creative..perhaps a little sleepy, even. Subdued, at least. Softened. Intuitive.

By late evening, there is wonderful opportunity to reach out to friends and sink into some social pleasures. A few drinks. A few ghost stories. Good music. The Moon finds Mercury in Libra by trine at 10:52 PM. From here, she is Void until entering Cancer at 5:08 AM Halloween Morning.
The veil of reality is still holding transparency. Would be a good night to really entertain ghosts, spirits and dwellers of the Netherworld if you are into that type of thing. Tis definitely the season.
Meditation. Hypnosis. Sleep therapy. Drifting around in graveyards or out in the misty night like a vaporous creature yourself. Haunting. Costume wearing...ah, just in time...are all also wonderful expressions of tonight's energy. It's deeply, deeply feminine, though, and that energy expands as we reach Halloween.

Saturday, October 31, 2015

Happy Halloween! Today, rich feminine energy seeps forth through the Earth. We are greeted this morning by the Moon in Cancer waxing into a glorious water trine with the Sun in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces. This flowing, intuitive, deep and enriching water trine flows over the entirety of the day allowing us to get in tune with our most deep inner stirrings.
It is imaginative. It is creative. It is intuitive. It is feel more than it is “know.” It is ethereal more than it is “tangible.” It is mysterious and subdued. Alluring and comforting. Soft, yet powerful. Flowing. Don't fight it. Surrender to it. Sink deep or float...but don't resist following where the flow takes you.

It's a perfectly bewitching night. So, if you are good at being witchy....(wink, wink...haunting giggle)

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of October 18 through October 24, 2015

Sunday, October 18, 2015
This morning the Moon in Sagittarius made a nice sextile with the Sun in Libra. From here, she is Void until entering Capricorn at 2:53 PM.
Mars and Jupiter are still huddled up in Virgo while trining Pluto. Venus is pulling out of Neptune's orb but may still be a little drunk.
What this means is we will have this energy to work with, without the power of the Moon until our late afternoon hours. The first aspect the Moon makes today from Capricorn is a sextile to Neptune in Pisces at 4:26 AM on the morning of the 19th.

You can earmark this day for just about anything you would like except for starting something new (unless it is in the early evening) or engaging in something that requires emotional influence. Emotions are largely subdued and it's hard to “get into” what we have planned for the day. But, toiling? Yes. Tidying? Yes. Resting? Yes. Social affairs are not contra-indicated but they may lack luster in the early part of the day. “Meh” illustrates it nicely. Sometimes a boring day ain't so bad to have.
It's also a good day to eat cake...because it's my birthday!

Monday, October 19, 2015
This morning we wake up to the Capricorn Moon in square to Mercury in Libra at 6:15 AM. This can cause friction between information and emotion as they are currently at cross purposes. Perhaps we are trying to figure out an amicable way to address a work issue. Perhaps we are trying to work but our friends keep blowing up our phone. It could be that we need to engage in something but we are having trouble making up our mind about what to do first. Maybe we are procrastinating or trying to over-perfect while getting swamped in the details.
At it's worst, this energy can cause arguments or even manifest as nervousness, anxiety or headaches. To use it at it's highest expression, be mindful of your overall plan and sort the details out responsibly and diligently. Deal with your emotions before you deal with the information. Be responsible in your speech and don't over fluff...keep true to the facts even if the facts may not be readily welcomed. You can still deliver them with a smile. With Mercury in Libra, the expression you “reflect” on your face is just as important as the words coming from your mouth. Be wary of projection with planets in the sign. But, also know when to recognize when it is a good time to mirror someone's behavior or counter-balance it (anger counter balanced by love or love meets love, for example). But...lots...and I do mean LOTS depends on the presentation. If you want, you can strategically choose the mask you need. Also, know that things smooth out and get revved up as the day moves forward. So don't allow this aspect to trip you up too much.

By 8:38 AM, the Moon is in trine to Venus in Virgo. This is steady eddy Earth energy that can be just as smooth as melting chocolate. What Capricorn and Virgo can do together is suss out the details of a workable and far reaching plan. One of the main focuses? Caring for your health (Venus in Virgo) in the interest of your longevity (Moon in Capricorn). Getting organized or buying new organizational tools (Venus in Virgo) to help with the “business of your life” (Moon in Capricorn). There is also a call to get down to the nitty gritty details of what needs to be done while clearing out anything that may serve as a distraction to what you are trying to do. Streamline. Organize. Make your work space clean, comfortable and make it easier on yourself to find what you need when you need it.
Just don't go all control freak about that. The Moon is also due to meet up with Pluto by conjunction at 3:13 PM. That could bring control in as a factor. It could also mean we are looking at things too closely or becoming obsessed over the details. We could also feel overwhelmed with the amount of clean up we have ahead of us after Venus' recent washout.
There is no need to be overwhelmed. Look at the situation practically and know that you will have the energy to get stuff back together through the Moon's trine to both Jupiter (5:51 PM) and Mars (7:27 PM) in Virgo later today. Small precise diligently paced steps toward a larger goal are key. Jot down the end goal and delineate the steps you need to get there. All the while, we are tossing out things that are not conducive to that end goal and cutting away distraction. Obsession and a desire to control every little thing are distractions. So, steer Moon/Pluto's energy toward focus and endurance instead.

This is mountain moving energy right here. Serious strides forward can be made if you know where you are going. Having a goal or something to shoot toward is of great importance otherwise you could run around chasing your tail most of the day. Set your goal, long term or short, even if that goal is only “I'm going to clean this kitchen today!” And, yeah, par for the course, with a stellium in Virgo the energy is always there to clean something. As without, so within. External organizing, cleaning and sorting helps the emotional body follow in tow. There isn't much space for floating around in this day. Work to keep your feet firmly on the ground while fostering common sense and practicality. No fluff...at all.
We end this day with a lunar sextile to Chiron at 11:47 PM followed shortly after by a lunar square to Uranus (12:26 AM). The lunar square to Uranus can be emotionally catalyzing...shocking even. However, if you've maintained a sense of grounding (which is blessedly gifted through these magnificent Earth trines), then you'll be able to greet this catalyzing energy more effectively. Cleaning and sorting could open room for epiphanies of inspiration through this square. It could be something that brings new and inventive approaches (Uranus in Aries) to long standing problems (Moon in Capricorn). But, we are going to have to reach for the grounding in the atmosphere to swing it that way. Know some may have trouble sleeping tonight, though, for various reasons...anxiety and nervousness being one of them.

Tuesday, October 20, 2015
This morning we wake up with the Moon still in Capricorn and waxing into square with the Sun in Libra to create our First Quarter Moon. The pressure is on, basically. This aspect perfects at 27 Cardinal 08 at 4:33 PM.
If you got down to business yesterday, this square is going to be managed much more easily. However, if you are procrastinating or waiting for someone else to do the work you are really going to feel pressure here. The Sabians for this first Quarter Moon read as follows (From Dane Rudhyar's book, The Wheel of Significance):
For the Moon at 28 Capricorn: The aviary of a rural mansion filled with singing birds. Enhancement of personality by familiarity with spiritual values. Joying in the significance of things; or mental confusion.
For the Sun at 28 Libra: A man in deep gloom. Unnoticed angels come to his help. Spiritual sustainment given to him who opens himself to his full destiny. Slow realization of betterment. Unsolicited help.

Ok, given that this Quarter waxes in all day we are likely to feel the pressure pop as it perfects. Sometimes, things seem insurmountable and impossible to manage. Maybe you weren't procrastinating but just have waaaaaaaay too much on your plate and don't know what to do with it all. You've whittled things down and toiled...but still, there is an overwhelming amount of stuff left to do and you aren't sure how you are going to manage it. There are missing answers, perhaps. Bear in mind that as soon as this First Quarter perfects, the Moon reaches Void status until entering Aquarius at 9:39 PM.

With the Sabians mention of “angelic help” and “spiritual values” this Lunar movement would be great for listing out all the unresolved stuff you have and metaphorically handing it over to the Universe to deal with...surrendering it. With all this energy in Virgo, we are very to be “ DIY fixers” right now. However, there are some things that need to be fixed whose solution may be elusive at this point. Don't be afraid...dear Virgo, inclined, to ask for help either from friends of the Earthly or Ethereal type. Admitting you need help may be the hardest part in that. If you do toss the remainder of your unmanageables up to the Universe to deal with, then subsequently foster a sense of trust that it will deal with them accordingly. Remain open to accepting help and watch for it arrive.

Wednesday, October 21, 2015

Overnight we were steadied by a sextile from the Moon in Aquarius in sextile to Saturn in Sagittarius (2:50 AM). From here, the Moon makes a windy trine with Mercury at 6:13 PM.
This is a great day for collaboration and socialization. Thoughts can be exchanged at a rapid pace and analyzed dispassionately for the most part. It's a great day for hanging out with friends. But, chances are your brain and your ears could be tired by the end the day. Falling leaves are whirling and swirling in the wind, today. A nearly tribal call stirs beneath the wind that beats for a sense of responsibility in our storytelling and history making wrapped up in sense of social consciousness.

The rest of the evening, the Moon makes inconjuncts to Venus (6:23 PM), Jupiter (11:49 PM) and Mars (3:04 AM). This cluster in Virgo is now packed between 11 and 16 degrees. Venus and Jupiter are almost close enough to Uranus to make a second inconjunct and create a Yod, but Mars is already close enough. He sits at the apex with Moon in Aquarius and Uranus in Aries forming the base. If you have planets between 11 and 16 Scorpio, you have a 2nd Yod in this set up with the Finger pointing at the Moon.
How do you use a Yod? Work the energy in the base sextile to it's highest expression in order to guide/operate the Apex planet. The base in this equation says, the way we feel about innovation, change and freedom (Moon/Uranus) subsequently directs our actions (Mars). The higher we can push our emotional intelligence (Moon/Uranus), the more able we are to bring practicality to our motivation, engage in the clean up or serve the collective (Mars in Virgo). The more socially aware and conscious we are (Moon/Uranus), the more we are willing to pitch in to help fix things (Mars in Virgo). On the converse (negative pole) the more emotionally reactive (Moon/Uranus) we are, the more self-critical and immobile, due our obsession with perfection, we become (Mars in Virgo). On a really simple level, in this instance? Mixing Uranian and Virgo energy is like Spock teaming up with Yoda. Let those two modern day archetypes roll around in your mind and figure out how those two would come together and make something happen.

For a less theatrical and more practical take consider this: If, in change, you can see opportunity; then, you can present your best efforts to serve that change. It makes me think of a person who has been a nurse for a very long time. Now, at the hospital where she works, they are introducing a new computer program. If, the nurse can see that this technological change can become a tool which she can use to better serve her patients; then, she can use the technology (change/Moon/Uranus) to enhance her service skills (Mars in Virgo). However if she becomes nervous, anxious, rejects or rebels against the change (Moon/Uranus), she could miss the opportunity to expand her skills and abilities (Mars in Virgo). She could quickly fall behind in her currently evolving field. See how that works?

Thursday, October 22, 2015
Early this morning the air crackles beneath a sextile from the Moon in Aquarius and Uranus in Aries. The Yod has fully blossomed calling us to hold our duty to service (Mars in Virgo) at the forefront as we imbibe that duty with a push toward social service (Moon in Aquarius) while using our own unique approach (Uranus in Aries). There is no need to make this a debate over what needs to be done. The only call here is to get started doing something to help. It's not too hard to figure out where you need to put your best efforts.
By 5:20 PM, though, Mercury's perspective is darkened and deepened by a third square to Pluto in Capricorn. There could be mind control tactics in place or forceful words exchanged. Paranoia may become a factor as well as mental obsession. The worst of the worst? Our polite Mercury in Libra may slip and drop an F-bomb or two. That fact makes me smile but for some it could be offensive or embarrassing.
The best way to swing this square is to foster a sense of focus. Use this energy to squeeze the negative thoughts right out of you. Release them instead of letting them swirl around in your head. You could also dig deeply into any issues you may be dealing with while researching for answers. Investigation to either support or dissipate your paranoia is possible. Conversations between folks of power and deals with the Devil can also be made under this sky. Most folks will be holding information quite tightly to their chests, though. I suggest reading a good mystery novel in lieu of selling your soul. But, it is also an EXCELLENT day to tweak your scary Halloween costumes and/or décor. Tonight would also be a good night for a horror flick. Double bonus if you get to the theater early enough for the cheap seat matinee. This makes our Sun at the end of Libra very, very happy. Friends and a good deal! Sweet!
Our Day of Thor comes to a close with the Moon in Aquarius making a nice air trine with the Sun around midnight. This is the Moon's last check in with our Sun in Libra. By the time these two bodies make direct contact again, the Sun will be in Scorpio.
As the Moon in Aquarius kisses the Sun in Libra goodnight and goodbye, she reaches Void status until entering Pisces at 1:19 AM.

Friday, October 23, 2015
Wow. At first glance, this day looks pretty eventful while also being quite deep and intense. WELCOME TO SCORPIO SEASON! Ok, the Moon is in Pisces this morning so the waters may rise in the realm of emotions. Intuition is kicking. “Swampy” is the word the Universe is giving me right now in relation to this.

Venus found Pluto by rich decadent trine at 3:39 AM. I have a love/hate relationship with Venus/Pluto. And, that's pretty much par for the course with these two in aspect. There is both a magnetic push and pull associated with the energy. This is rich and Earthy. We may unexpectedly run into old friends or past lovers. But, the aspect isn't forceful so this could actually be a good thing. Relationships can be restored and repaired under this aspect. Existing strong relationships are imbibed with tremendous power that enhances intimacy. And, we may just be able to attract exactly what we've always dreamed of attracting under this sky. However, this sky is not just all about reaping the rewards (Venus in Virgo) of the efforts of your hard work (Pluto in Capricorn). There is more going on than just this. Venus trine Pluto is an important component of this sky though, so don't forget that no matter what else is going on your deepest desires are swirling and swirling. Are you attracting or repulsing? Are you afraid of getting what you want? That's repulsing. Or, are you willing to do your part in obtaining the stirrings or your heart? That's attraction. Alluring is strongly alluring these days.

Mars opposes Chiron (ouch) at 4:47 AM. Hearts are restored (Venus/Pluto) but our physical body may be hindered, in pain, sick or washed out. There is also a chance for triggers to be tripped which kicks up our ire. Mars in Virgo is a Mercury/Mars aspect in and of itself. Be wary of clumsiness and distraction that can result in true physical injury with The Trickster and The Warrior in play. To best swing this opposition, balance out the two sides. Recognize where the pain is (Chiron in Pisces) and work to nurse it back to health (Mars in Virgo). Fevers due illness are also possible here. So are stomach and digestive issues (ulcers, stomach flu, etc). Whether you suffer from physical illness or from the pains of remorse, worry and regret, treat the sickness accordingly. You can anesthetize the pain a bit but don't ignore or deny its existence. Treat the underlying cause instead of just trying to mask the symptoms. Get to the root of the problem.
By 6:36 AM, the Moon is in square to Saturn (if you've noticed, we haven't even made it to sunrise yet). This square can be ridiculously depressing. However, used at it's highest, it can be very grounding and assist us in forming emotional boundaries. It is definitely sober and that's kind of disappointing to Moon in Pisces. Yet the grounding potential brought forth by Saturn, here, could be the traction we need to start our morning. It could also be the aspect that keeps us hiding under the covers too. Not in fear but in withdraw. Pisces Moon likes the peace, solitude and quiet found in the dark.
By midday, that pull to withdraw and seek solitude may increase as the Moon in Pisces finds Neptune by conjunction (1:18 PM) just before the Sun dives into Scorpio (1:47 PM). Gosh this has the potential, weather wise, to be a dark, potentially stormy and gloomy day. That sounds pretty sweet to me. But, for some, it may work only to increase the tendency toward depression. Please be easy with yourself if you are suffering under this sky.

Know that if you are suffering from illness you have not failed! It's not that you have not swung this energy appropriately or done something wrong. Sickness sometimes just happens, you know? The only thing you will be doing wrong in this equation is failing to pay heed to the needs of your physical body and, instead, punishing yourself either physically (by not resting, for example) or emotionally (by becoming swamped in the isolation). If you are sick, don't become Typhoid Mary. Stay home and take care of yourself. You can afford that service to yourself instead of beating yourself up for what you cannot physically achieve right now. Be pro-active in your own self-care. All people who are able to provide the highest level of service to others know this. You must give yourself the same consideration you would give others or your ability to serve sours.
By 11:08 PM, our emotional bodies have a chance at restoration with a lunar sextile to Pluto. Supportive grounding, endurance, emotional forbearance and fortitude are delivered here. We may just survive after all.
The day ends, though, just as deep as it began. However, there was a chance to rebuild, restore and treat our wounded areas. This, of course, is solely an inside job. Hopefully you took the opportunity. This is by no means easy work; but, it is definitely worthy work.
Overnight the Moon continues working opposing Venus at around midnight and subsequently Jupiter at 2:42 AM. Overcome swamping emotions by seeking practical comforts. Sort out the facts and details of the situation while examining your emotions attached to each. But, you've got to calm the heck down to do this. This also calls for a balancing between want (Venus) and need (Moon). Let loose of any martyring or self-victimizing tendencies you have. Instead of wringing your hands in worry, put them to work finding solutions. If you are sick (mentally, emotionally or physically), get thyself treatment.
How all this activity is handled will determine how Moon opposite Jupiter is experienced. Whatever we are feeling grows. Keep that in mind as we traverse this day. I'm seeing the potential for drug overdoses in this mix either by accident or deliberately. Of course, this potential exists EVERY DAY, but the sky delivers quite a toxic set up for it to be “thing” today. Be mindful of your addictions; because, they certainly could make you sick. If you are physically sick already, take the proper dose of medication and be mindful of what you mix together ESPECIALLY if you are taking OTC cold/flu remedies and herbal supplements. Check for potential adverse interactions. Please, please, please be easy with yourself today. We are certainly plunging the deepest of the deep here. With the dawning of Scorpio season, I would expect nothing less. The Universe wastes no time in pushing us into the deep end this year.

Early this morning, the Moon lights up the waning opposition between Mars and Chiron between 6 and 7 AM. From here, the Moon is Void until entering Aries at 2:23 AM. We are left to quietly address our personal dis-ease. Again, be proactive in your self-care whether that care needs to be directed at your physical, emotional, logical or psychic body---or the whole of you. Either way, whether you are sick or not, today should be earmarked as a day of rest and restoration in preparation for the more active Aries Moon we will encounter tomorrow and Monday. Noting where the periods of rest occur within the Universe is just as important as noting the active times or getting heads up about potentially volatile times. Usually the opportunity to rest is delivered exactly when the Universe knows we will need it. So take the heads up and catch up on some rest and relaxation...healing and restoration...as the window opens wide for those opportunities today.

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of October 11 through October 17, 2015

Sunday, October 11, 2015
This morning we wake up to a really dark Moon in Libra. She entered the sign at 4:46 AM. Her first aspect is a check in with Mercury (newly direct YAY at 7:13 AM) while also moving over the North Node, BML, Nemesis AND Juno who are all snuggled up in the early degrees of Libra. Our relational Moon is assessing absolutely everything that ever had to do with relationship. The ability to balance stuff that combines energy it into a united force instead of an antagonistic one is at the forefront of many minds. We've been slammed around enough in the review to be hyper aware of it by now? Right? Venus RX. Eclipses that involve the NN in Libra then a freaking Mercury Rx in the sign itself to boot. Oh heck yeah. The principles of Libra have been trampled over for months before we ever even got to Libra season. These were messages the Universe was intent on delivering and quite a few have gotten the message whether that be in terms of relationships with themselves, their romantic partners, their enemies, their work mates, their wealth or lack thereof, their children, families....whooooooosh across the board.

Why. Because we are expected, collectively, to know more about this stuff. Our aim over the last few years in terms of “heeding the call of the Universe” has been pointed at the sign of Libra and all that she is about. So, tell me what you've learned. And tomorrow, become prepared to proceed into future relationships with this new knowledge and awareness under your belt. Bring it to the negotiating table with you since that is where many will find themselves over the course of the next few days. Exercise what you've learned. Burn the peace pipe. Bury the hatchet. Or cut ties completely and move on. The scenarios will vary. But, this is the blind scabbard of justice that falls in the 3rd Decan of Libra. Either you make the cut or you don't. Either you learned from the review that just passed by in front of your eyes or you doom yourself to repeating the same mistakes. Your choice. If you've not spent time honestly assessing yourself, your value system, tweaking and discovering what it is in your subconscious that keeps tripping up in relationship and seeing where you can be a better partner and choose better partners or NOT. Either way, you are starting again from wherever you are.

Shortly after the Moon leaves Mercury, she finds Saturn by sextile. We are stable and supported emotionally as the Sun finds a trigger point from an inconjunct with Chiron at 9:56 AM. Ouch. Yeah we know that little trigger is a part of what makes us who we are. We are painfully and acutely aware of that fact, thank you very much. Dear Universe, that means you can stop pointing it out now....but, HA, that ain't going to happen just yet, sweet pea. The Universe is sending Jupiter to shine a spotlight onto that Chiron soon enough...soon enough. So, take this little check in as a personal reminder that those little trigger points aren't going anywhere. Remain aware of them and continue trying to operate in the world effectively with them instead of denying them.
But, overlaying all this is the bubbling strength and restorative power of Jupiter in Virgo waxing into trine with Pluto in Capricorn. This is a big deal folks. Lots of restorative energy in that. Lots of benefit wrapped up in it for those who know how to use power responsibly and for those who reach out generously and honestly in efforts to serve others. Hello, day of the Underdog. Hello, day of the unsung hero. Feel like doing the right thing has gotten you mostly nowhere? Well get ready to feel like you've been boosted upon someone's shoulders while the crowd cheers your good efforts; because, lots of folks are due a day like that..having held themselves true through the collective storms we just came through. You'll see.

By 11:50 PM the Sun is in opposition to Uranus in Aries bringing more emphasis to the Me/We continuum and checking in on the intelligence we've acquired on that journey. Can you be independent and free and still make partnerships? Yep. You sure can. In the right partnerships for the right reasons. Without surrendering your own identity in the process. Without forcing yourself into some kind of socially acceptable mold. Yes. Yes, you can and not only CAN you but YOU SHOULD. That's part of the message we were to pick up on with the Nodal transit along this axis. Be sure of who you are and gently assert that as you enter into relationship. Be wary of the impact of your actions upon others. Realize, yes, you can do it all on your own but you don't always have to. Sometimes the answer to a problem is not to rush in and beat it to death but to find the compromise...the balance point...the fulcrum that evens things out. The fence always has two sides. There is always a cheek to turn; a chance to handle things more gently than forcefully. Opportunity to compromise...if everyone can get over themselves long enough. Detach from their ego a little bit (Sun opposite Uranus) and realize their point of view isn't the ONLY point of view. You know?

Monday October 12, 2015
This morning, emotions run deep and there is energy out there that will have some reaching out desperately grasping for straws. The Moon in Libra is in square to Pluto in Capricorn at 7:20 AM. The lower end of this energy will prompt a person to reach out with passive forms of control...emotional manipulation, temptation and what have you in an effort to hold on. The well developed and aware energy user will realize this is an opening of the black hole that you need to throw all the trash into prior to making a fresh start. It's wide open and swirling...finish throwing that stuff in. Keep purging and purging and plunging those depths and get all that over and done with. A new door waits at the end of this day. We all know that. Clean out the space for it.

At 6:21 PM the Moon is opposed Uranus, just as the Sun was last night. This is where we do a check in with our relational emotional intelligence. Have we cut off the possibility of partnering completely and decided to become the lone wolf? Or, have we garnered a bit of relational expertise through all this mess. Can you be engaged in relationship without losing yourself emotionally? This transit will fill you in. Do you care too much about what others think and about how stuff may or may not affect them? Do you care too little? Balance it out.

Our New Moon in Libra waxes in at 8:06 AM and provides us with opportunity to incorporate all that we've learned through this sideways Venus Rx/Eclipse/Mercury Rx ordeal and come back to the relational table to employ what we've learned. Or not. They are your mistakes to repeat if you choose. But, know that learning what was important, leaning toward partnerships that support you as you and being an equal part of such partnerships (which includes involving your true self that you discovered with all those fun times of transits in Leo) is kinda the point of this New Moon.
This New Moon wants us to recognize the good and supportive relationships that we have and to sheer away the ones that aren't so wonderful. Venus falls in the first Decan of Virgo where she is prone to meticulously prune things away that don't support our strongest growth. So, as we prune with Venus using one hand as we extend our other hand out to accept the support from the sources and relationships where we find it. And, in that cutting away and subsequent acceptance and reception we find the fulcrum...the balance part of Libra where we can compromise without cutting our nose off to spite our face. Where we can be ourselves and gather folks who encourage us to be ourselves around us while we offer up to them the same. Reciprocity or bust. With an assload of learning experience just flashed before our eyes in an effort by the Universe to drive that point home.
20 Libra and the Sabian for this New Moon-Old rabbi sits contentedly in room crowded with books. Interest in permanent rather than transient values. Accumulation of ancient wisdom brought to use. Competent service.
Yep. It's a lot like that in the school of love and relationships these days. What reference books do you have at your personal disposal? After the perfection of the New Moon in Libra, the Moon is rightfully worn the heck out and reaches Void status for a little rest. She remains Void until entering Scorpio at 5:39 PM tomorrow. Needless to say, this New Moon is likely to be quite a personal and rather quietly resolved affair. It can be an agreement quietly reached with yourself even if it eventually will ultimately affect how you deal with others in the future.

Tuesday, October 13, 2015
This morning we wake up to a Void Moon in Libra as Mercury makes another sextile to Saturn in Sagittarius. Sober and emotionless realizations are made here. In the dark. In the quiet. In the morning. Not many are willing to talk about them though.
The Moon awakens in the primordial depths of Scorpio at 5:39 PM. Emotional intensity grows. But, um, let me tell you something...if you are in a romantic love relationship that grew closer through all this Venus/Libra/Eclipse mix then this little check in from the Moon in Scorpio to Venus in Virgo (3:14 AM) is going to be, or has the potential to...really pack the bow-chica-mow-wow. Ahem.

On the other end of that pendulum lies the potential to absolutely cut yourself apart for presumed relationship failures. Don't waste your time on that. We are not walking backward here. We are walking forward now. Learn from the past. Honestly assess where you have room to improve your chances for intimacy. Entertain no other alternative. Dismiss Venus in Virgo's tendency to cut themselves apart because Scorpio can make those cuts excruciatingly deep. Discard your disdain over your lack luster love life and don't take it out on the rest of the world. Please. Just. Fix it. Don't wallow in it or make it worse. We get to start over in this arena. Don't miss the opportunity.

Wednesday, October 14, 2015
Wow. The fact that things have been a bit emotional and wonky really catches up with us this morning. What a great day it would be to get to sleep in. Possibly foggy. Rainy. Curl up on the couch and pretend to be reading a good book while you are secretly napping kind of day. Slow and easy. Don't fight the flow. Sink into the drag a bit. Enjoy the depth of the day. The Moon is in trine to Neptune at 8:25 AM.

By 6:23 PM the Moon is a bit more motivated to forward motion as she checks in with Mars in Virgo by sextile. Nice aspect there. You can see the very depths of the mess that has to be cleaned up and you've got the drive to get busy doing it. Scorpio and Virgo energy works beautifully together. One bringing the mess and all the gunk to the surface. The other sorting it out and cleaning it all up. Both are resourceful and know how to survive with the meager supplies they may have on hand. Both are tough as nails too. Put this energy to good use, folks. Clean something down to the bare bones. Make it an all out emotional upheaval and detox if you have too. But, sort the details of some kind of mess out (literally or metaphorically) to best express this energy.

More support in such an activity comes with a sextile from the Moon to Pluto in Capricorn at 7:51 PM. Emotional strength, forbearance, integrity and fortitude is on hand to assist us with whatever we find ourselves involved in.
Next up is a root strengthening serum delivered like an inoculation from Jupiter in Virgo. Speaking of which, ya'll getting the flu shot? Because, if you are planning to, now is the time. If not, never mind. But work to pump up your immunity either way. Flu shot or no it's time to stock up on Vitamin C and start being mindful of your health and how your daily routine supports that or not. Your health plays largely into the legacy you are able to leave behind...wouldn't you say? So, it's worthy of your attention however you decide to deliver it.

Thursday, October 15, 2015
The Moon finds Chiron by trine at 5:14 this morning. From here, she rests in Void Status all blessed day. Meanwhile Mars find Pluto by trine. You talk about an opportunity to move mountains in regard to getting work done. This is aspect you need right here! And without swamping emotions to distract you? Heck yeah.
I don't recommend starting anything new. But, if you have stuff that you need catch up on now is the time. Gather all your outstanding projects and blow through them one by one. You'll have the energy to carry you far in this regard. You get double bonuses if you use this tremendous energy in an effort of service toward others or to help yourself or someone else rebuild. Power, under this aspect, is fully restored. Enjoy the heck out of that. Because you are really going to feel the power surge over the course of the next few days when the Moon wakes back up.

Friday October 16, 2015
The Moon entered Sagittarius, ready to head off on a new journey, at 5:19 AM. But, I'll be darned if she doesn't trip over a block in the road right out of the gate. She meets Saturn by conjunction at 10:07 AM. Do we really need to be reminded that we have to behave ourselves on this trip? Can we not just run off and have fun and adventure? Um...Saturn says no. We need to go over the ground rules first.

But, then, as we pick ourselves up from our stumble we look around and see our friends coming to join us on this trip. Yay! Folks to talk to and share the journey with emerge as the Moon meets Mercury in Libra by chatty and exuberant sextile at 3:15 PM. Whee! Field trip!

Oh, but wait a minute, did we leave the coffee pot on? Did we pack our toothbrush? Did we miss an important detail? Were we a bit too excited and perhaps maybe a little too idealistic in regard to what this trip was all about? The Moon meet Venus by square at 7:18 PM while meeting Neptune by square only minutes after (7:35 PM). There's a bit of shaky uncertainty mixed in that mutable t-square which finds outlet in Gemini. If you are surrounded by friendly social contacts and are able to maintain your curiosity about the trip itself...then really, who cares if you forgot your tooth brush. Call someone you trust to check in on your house while you are gone. It'll be alright. Sit back and enjoy the ride. Don't worry too much. Have a little drink and relax and quit taking things so seriously. Saturn's well in the rear view by now.
Venus officially opposes Neptune at 10:53 PM. Something we value or cherish could disappear. We could be love drunk. Or, gifts could appear out of the clear blue sky. We could be at risk of over-idealizing matters of Venus. Perhaps one of the negotiators at the bargaining table under the New Moon in Libra was trying to pull the wool over our eyes. We didn't see it until...just now. Only the Universe knows which end of that stick you'll be handed. What we have is a perfectionistic, particular and, sometimes, critical Venus in Virgo opposing the Lord of all that dissolves and swirls together in an endless vast sea, Neptune. Compassion is brought to our hearts and criticisms soften. Forgiveness and acceptance are both possible here. But so is a complete heart breaking emotional washout. The potential for veils to drop or be constructed in matters of money and love exist under this opposition...both of which meet their demise through heartbreak eventually. We can get all swept up or completely swept away.
Lets sleep on it. Shall we? Better than drowning in that mix at any rate. Our hearts are tired. Let's let them rest or at least wring them out and hang them up to dry.

Saturday, October 17, 2015

There is a bit of ambiguity in the mix this morning as the Moon squares off with Mars conjunct Jupiter in Virgo at around 8:30 AM while squaring Chiron and sextiling Uranus all at the same time. (HA! Piece of cake! Good morning to ya! Grab your coffee.) Did we overeach? Over step? Over promise? Over do? Over expect? Were we too confident? Here's where we find out. The best thing to consider is whether you were putting forth your best efforts regardless of the results you are shown within this day. Did you try your best? Honestly? Then that's all that really matters. Ok. Seal that in your psyche right now. If you missed your mark that's alright. There will be time to try again just don't forget to learn from your mistakes and scale back a little if you need to. See? Look outside. The world ain't ending today. There is time to choose differently.

The outlet for this t-square is, again, in Gemini who's ruler is walking across relationship issues for a third time. Practice what you've learned. Pull all your options out and look at them. Feel your emotional attachment to each choice. Assess that while still holding the stuff at arms length...not too tightly. Balance this out. You can do that. Adjust your aim. Your perspective. Your approach.
A sense of purpose and a sense of direction are going to carry you far in this day. Feel free to take advantage of that if you can.

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of October 6 through October 10, 2015

Sunday, October 4, 2015
This morning we wake up to the Cancer Moon in sextile to Mars in Virgo (7:01 AM) and in trine to Neptune (10:09 AM). I don't know what it is like over on the left coast of the US, but in the East, the seas are pretty mad. For the last few days the surf has been violent with waves cresting up to 11 feet. On top of that, from what I understand, the rip currents are deadly while the tide is so fierce it is eroding the coastline. Of course, this is aside from all the flooding also up and down the East Coast. Poseidon is pissed. Or so it would seem.

Even more interesting? NASA has discovered the existence of water on Mars. This information was released last week correlating with Mars in Virgo waxing into opposition with the pissed off King of the Sea which is due to perfect on October 6. Matter of fact, Tuesday is shaping up to be a busy Astrological day. We will get to that in a minute. But, it does appear that Neptune is taking his anger out in a furious cleaning frenzy. Of course, he's tearing up jack in the process. Somebody give him a Quaalude or something, my gosh. A state of emergency has been called in South Carolina this morning due the fall out of his rage. At any rate, this morning we will likely hear more about the assessment of what is going on along the East Coast. I'm hoping this is the end of it and it may be in this area. But, Mars is still agitating Neptune for at least the next two days. We may see the results of his anger pop up in other places, gas explosions, chemical spills/leaks, more flooding and torrential rains...all that and more.
On a personal level, the best way to use this energy is to relinquish your anger. Take your internal confusion and flux and direct it toward something productive instead of destructive. As much as external waters are violently churning there is probably a lot of internal water (emotions) churning as well. As above, so below. As within, so without. It really does work like that.
Today is an excellent day to get any such churning under control. The Moon in Cancer checks in amicably on this waxing opposition between Mars and Neptune. Plus, the Last Quarter Moon perfects this evening prompting us to continue releasing, relinquishing and letting go. As we let go, we have opportunity to open up space that once contained these dirty infectious waters and refill them with calmer cleaner waters. Detoxing works whether are you detoxing your physical or emotional body. I recommend both, particularly under this Cancer Moon. This set up is perfect for sweat lodges, hot yoga anything that mixes raising one's body temperature enough to sweat. Dance furiously. Play music passionately. Turn your bathroom into a temporary steam sauna. Get hot and get wet in whatever positive way you can think of. That's much better than being so angry that all your energy is diffused into that fact alone. If you need rest, take it without apology.
We may see an uptick of joint pain due to arthritis exacerbated by wet weather. Fevers due to colds, allergies or other bacterial/viral infections. Some folks may be less angry and more wiped out feeling as if all their energy has been completely drained from their bodies for one reason or another. All this is a grand set up for potential distraction. Some folks aren't going to be able to or are going to be so wrapped up in the hot/wet that they aren't paying attention to what they are doing.

Mercury in Libra is still Rx until Friday. Meaning, he is preparing to station, again. Meaning his Mercury Rx potential for bullshit will be heightened AS THIS MARS/NEPTUNE OPPOSITION WAXES IN. Are you listening? Be careful out there and vow to be the conscious warden of your own care taking starting today...like right now, what are you waiting for...while releasing anything that might stand in the way of you effectively doing that. Today is the easy check in. Get a feel of how to handle this energy and hang on to that thought as we move forward into this week.

The Last Quarter Moon perfects at 5:07 PM. This puts our Solar and Lunar energies at odds falling between 11 Cancer/Libra 19.
The Sabian for 12 Cancer: A Chinese woman nursing a baby haloed by divine light. The promise to all humans that the divine may take birth within their souls. Personality integration. Illumination; or frustration.

The Sabian for 12 Libra: Miners are emerging from a deep well into the sunlight. Depth of participation in the world's work. Whole-souled giving of self to service; or inability to bring self to effort.

Do you see the two extremes in both these symbols? Illumination vs frustration. Whole-souled giving vs inability to bring self to effort. How do you stay on the high road here? How can you swing this to the positive extreme? Don't. Let. The. Darkness. Win. Period. Whatever you are experiencing right now fight with all your might to keep your candle lit. That is our main job. Hold steady. Protect the light inside you and don't let anything that is happening outside of you extinguish it. Otherwise, you risk becoming your oppressor, attacker, violator. Come out of the darkness, miner. Turn your face to the light. Otherwise, the darkness wins.

Speaking of darkness, the Moon finds Pluto by opposition at 8:14 PM. In literal world, I'd advise you to batten down the hatches and protect the home front. In the metaphorical, remember, it's not kill or be killed. It's purposeful survival. It's control yourself or allow yourself to be controlled. The waxing square from the Moon to Uranus (7:05 AM tomorrow) will help us assess whether our emotions are free from outside influence or not. Take control of yourself without running over folks in an effort to push your own agenda. Let them be. This is about you.

The same destructive, subservient, vindictive energy we feel coming from Moon/Pluto can also be used for survival and emotional regeneration...fortitude, endurance, grit, tenacity, etc. Every fence has two sides, says our North Node, Sun and Mercury in Libra. Pick your side wisely. You do have a choice. Be prepared to deal with the fact there will be others on the opposite side of the fence allowing this energy to make them batshit crazy, to be blunt. Batten down the hatches and protect the home front. Radar. Up. Don't let the darkness win. Be a good neighbor. Don't just watch for the helpers, jump in and be one.

Monday, October 5, 2015
This morning the ground is still soggy and the emotional body is unsettled due the square between the Moon in Cancer and Uranus in Aries perfecting at 7:05 AM. However, the Moon is blessedly Void from here. All. Day. She doesn't enter Leo until 4:32 AM tomorrow morning.
Emotional hangovers ring like a dull gong in our bellies and heads. Numbness could set in. Take the day slow and easy. Do only the minimal necessary to get through this day and conserve your energy. Tomorrow is busy Astrological day.

Tuesday October 6, 2015
Early this morning the Moon passed into Leo (4:32 AM). Her first aspect is a nice grounding trine to Saturn in Sagittarius. We wake up a little more emotionally stable, which is a good thing.
At 7:57 AM, the Moon is in sextile to quivering Mercury Rx in Libra. Emotional conversations are re-visited. Messages from the past are possible. Childhood memories could float to the surface of our awareness. We may even run into folks from our past...friends, neighbors, enemies, old lovers. Echoes are entirely possible.

Meanwhile, the Sun is darkening and deepening in temperament due his strongly waxing square to Pluto. Eyes are narrowed and personalities come on strong. Efforts to control others are in place. Some will succumb to the temptations of greed or abuse of power. The strong will overcome these temptations and hold themselves true. Face off with yourself and your fears. Be brave. Don't be weak kneed and succumb to the darkness. There is true power that can be used for your own betterment here. Don't let the world use it against you. Be the pillar of strength.

At 6:58 PM, wobbly Mercury in Libra is stabilized by a sextile to Saturn in Sagittarius. Keep your eye on the prize. Hold your aim steady. Assume control of the steerage in your head while keeping your perspective pointed to the long term. Keeping your feet firmly planted in the right now. Plot the path forward using wisdom gleaned from past journeys.
The washout energy between Neptune and Mars has been building all week. It perfects tonight (10:53 PM) bringing hot/wet strongly into the equation. Review the tips for that in Sunday's write up and keep applying them. Let go. Surrender. Forgive. Detox. Sweat. Sleep and rest if you need it. You cannot fist fight Neptune. He can, however, be seduced...so...

There is quite a bit of mental pressure mixed with diffused efforts and calls to service all wrapped up in this day. It can feel like trying to climb a slippery slope. Back up and get ready to punt. Re-assess. Re-boot. Deal with yourself and wait this out.

Wednesday, October 7, 2015
Today, the Sun might actually peek out from behind the clouds. We wake up to a nice sextile between the Moon in Leo and Sun in Libra perfecting at 7:41 AM. The rest of the day, the Moon spends waxing into trine to Uranus (5:11 PM).
The sunlight is bright enough for us to assess the damage incurred the building energy of Sun/Pluto and Mars/Neptune. It feels like one of those days where the weather is nice outside but there is something hollowed and subdued within us that may keep us from enjoying it. Solemn. Perhaps quiet. But, hope is still alive and stirring. After the trine to Uranus, the Moon is Void until entering Virgo at 3:51 PM tomorrow.

Thursday, October 8, 2015
Grab your mop bucket. Your broom. Your favorite clean up tools and get ready. Don't act like you don't see the mess. Don't sweep it under the rug. Today, we need to start cleaning that crap up. Like REALLY cleaning it up instead of working hard to cover it up so it looks pretty. Hide it and it's going to start to smell and rot. Don't be afraid to look at it. Get rid of it.

The Moon is still Void as we wake up this morning. But, as she rests, Venus enters Virgo (1:30 PM) and exits her shadow. Venus isn't really sure what the hell just happened but she is ready to start helping to fix and clean it up. She looks over her shoulder at the Moon and says, “Hey. Wake up. We've got work to do.” The Moon wakes up in Virgo at 3:51 PM. She meets up with Venus by conjunction at 4:01 PM and their assessment of the work ahead feels cumbersome due a waxing square from both to Saturn in Sagittarius. The Moon hits this wall of responsibility at 7:19 PM. Venus waxes into this up until perfection on Saturday. Yep. It's a long road ahead. Littered with “Test of Faith” boulders. Some may choose to walk that craggy road with crosses on their backs.

You are better off laying your cross down or at least simply wearing a small replica around your neck than purposefully martyring yourself through this. Carry the broom, instead. You don't have to hang yourself on a cross or beat others over the head with it to adhere to the tenets of your faith. Come off your pious high horse and get in here and get your hands dirty. Help with the clean up wherever you may find that mess. Flailing over there in your own bullshit is just going to make your mess bigger. Please. Anybody else tired of the self-martyring show? Enough. And our Astrology echoes this sentiment through Jupiter, Mars, Venus and the Moon in Virgo AND through Saturn in Sagittarius. Quit playing the victim in your life. Roll up your sleeves and get busy dealing with what needs to be dealt with. The REAL ROOT issues or get...the...heck...out...of...the...way.
Clean everything. Inside. Out. Organize. De-clutter. Re-purpose. Wipe the slate clean. Focus on what you can do to help whatever situation you are looking at. Help, not enable. Help, not exacerbate. Help...not wallow.

Friday, October 9, 2015
Ok, this morning we are either feeling wiped out or washed up. The Moon in Virgo is opposed Neptune at 6:54 AM. Waking up happens very, very slowly. Under a veil of fog and potential emotionality. She does receive a bit of fuel from Mars in Virgo at 10:06 AM which could clear our fogginess a bit and bring the ability to methodically deal with whatever we have to deal with forward.
Then, at 10:49 AM, holy Heavens of Mercy can I get an Amen, Mercury in Libra turns direct. Oh, we still have to endure him retracing his shadow. His energy will be a pain in the ass for a couple of days as he starts wobbling forward but...he...is...direct. Hallelujah.

As the evening moves forward we may begin to feel a little better. The Moon meets Jupiter by conjunction at 5:24 PM and Pluto by trine at 6:12 PM. Bask in the restorative power being delivered by the waxing trine between Jupiter and Pluto. There is extraordinary strength in that but it is all about practicality, self-control, a willingness to dig deep and survive and a certain deep well of knowing wrapped up in faith and wisdom. This is not just a passing air of luck. This is making your own luck. This is the strength that you pull from somewhere deep, deep inside you and then subsequently APPLY. And we are going to need to collectively dig deep and find that wellspring. That window isn't being opened coincidentally. We are going to need it. Start digging in and figuring out a way to tap into it today.
Later tonight, the Moon opposes Chiron and then reaches Void status at 4:17 AM. She remains Void for the entirety of our Saturday.

Rest is the call of the day. Things are likely very, very quiet..almost eerily so. We are also being called toward getting serious about matters of Venus. She officially squares off with Saturn today at 8:32 PM. We aren't all emotional about it. We just realize, again, that resources are pulled tight and we have a lot of clean up work ahead of us. Toil in all that. Shore up your finances. Solidify your relationships. Be the responsible caretaker of your heart, valuables and loved ones. Use today to get those messy ducks in a row and contemplate your plan. There is a New Moon coming. A fresh start. A new beginning is right around the corner. Think about how you would like to enter that gate. Keep releasing anything you don't want to carry forward with you. Leave no stone undusted.
