This morning we wake up to
the Sun's entrance into Virgo (6:38 AM) as the Moon squares Neptune
from Sagittarius (9:09 AM). Wow. Just writing that makes me want to
go back to bed. The grog doesn't last all day, but it is a “slow to
rise” morning which is quite alright for a Sunday in my book.
By 10:38 AM a bit of oomph
is brought to the day by a nice fire trine from the Sagittarius Moon
to Mars in Leo. This isn't a working aspect. It looks more playful to
me and conducive of outdoor sports, theme parks, child's play and
other fun busy-ness. Hopefully, if you have plans for outside the
weather holds up. With the Moon squaring Neptune and the Sun waxing
into opposition to the same, the chances of dry weather are slim. You
can always drop your adult fashioned rules and play in the rain if
that happens.
The rest of the day the Moon
spends waxing into trine with Venus Rx in Leo (2:10 AM). This looks
like a pretty fun and potentially relaxing day. Opportunities to get
out and about may abound even if the weather is a factor. I encourage
you to lean toward having fun and indulging in a bit of relaxation if
you can. The sky is certainly supportive of such. Welcome the
incoming harvest season and enjoy this last month of Summer before we
switch gears into the richness of Autumn.

This morning we wake up to
the Moon in square to Chiron in Pisces (6:24 AM) and in trine to
Uranus in Aries (6:35 AM). This doesn't appear to be a particularly
harsh day. But, you know, it IS Monday...so. The square from the Moon
to Chiron and the subsequent trine to Uranus looks as if we may
become re-acquainted with our triggers and given opportunity to free
ourselves from them.
There is also opportunity
for sickness here, though. The Moon squares not only Chiron but also
Mercury (6:04 PM) at the end of the day before reaching Void Status
for a full 6 hours. I'm thinking potential allergy flare ups, sinus
problems and possibly a headache or two.
I do like the trine to
Uranus, though. It is active and free. But, it could also be
indicative (supportive) of seeking the advice of an expert or doctor.
So, if you do find yourself ill, don't slack on getting the treatment
you need. Then, as the Moon goes Void tonight rest and allow your
body to recuperate. The Sun is in Virgo, remember? So is Jupiter.
Being mindful of matters of your health brings benefit. Stock up on
your Vitamin C and take some while you are at it. The kids are back
in school providing a nice swapping ground for germs. Take the
necessary cautionary measures to protect yourself. Wash your hands.
Drink plenty of water. You know the drill.
The Moon remains Void until
entering Capricorn at 12:22 AM.

Overnight the Sun and Moon
danced in a lovely grounding Earth trine (3:35 AM). Then, early this
morning the Moon in Capricorn repeated her dance with Jupiter in
Virgo (5:45 AM). I love this, frankly. We could use some nice solid
Earth energy and today, we are gifted with a very solid and
supportive trine. The energy is grounded and practical. Our feet are
planted solidly on the Earth. Smooth.
At the same time, the Moon
is also waxing into a nice sextile with Neptune in Pisces (3:32 PM).
Know what happens when you have a lot of Earth and just the right
amount of Water? You end up with a shape-able clay or mud. Today
would be excellent for pottery work. Or, if you'd like to shoot that
up into a the metaphorical, this malleable tangible energy could be
supportive of manifestation...bringing concepts from the Air and down
to Earth in physical form.
We also experience a waning
Yod between the Moon in Capricorn, Neptune in Pisces and Mars in Leo
in our late evening hours (between 3:30 and 7:40 PM). Mars sits at
the Apex of this Yod. Aiming for manifestation while imbibing the
same with a touch of our personal creativity..our own little flare,
is highly encouraged. Extra bonus points are delivered if we are
using recycled materials or just working to give old projects new
life. The signs of Capricorn and Virgo are highly resourceful. We are
encouraged to use the materials we have on hand rather than spending
$50 to buy supplies to make a handmade item you could realistically
buy for much less. Suffice to say, common sense is a big boon under
this energy as well. Keep it simple.
The Moon is also waxing into
conjunction with Pluto in Capricorn (11:33 PM). So there is certainly
depth to this day. As always with Pluto, there is the chance for
power plays and subservient measures. But on a personal level the
conjunction can also be powerfully restorative. Our will to survive
is strong. We have the ability to dust our pants off and get up to
give it another try if we need too. And, we are highly encouraged to
do so.
In earnest, today is quite a
good mixture of energy. It's like a calm plateau that allows us to
really get down to business while remaining practical and
responsible. Not too dusty. Not too wet. There is just enough fire to
motivate us without burning us up. Stuff gets accomplished under this
sky regardless of what other craziness may or may not occur out in
the world. Maintain your focus (which is supported by Moon/Pluto) and
really dig into your “task at hand” whatever you choose that to
be. You could make great strides of progress here. Get comfortable in
practicality. We've got more of it coming our way.

This morning may be a bit
uncomfortable as the Moon waxes into sextile with Chiron (11:26 AM)
while also waxing into square with Uranus (11:26 AM). I see lots of
switches in position in an effort to obtain a sense of comfort.
Nervousness and anxiety could be a factor. Or, we could learn from
what didn't work in the past and employ newly fostered methods. That
is an excellent way to wrangle Moon/Uranus. Just refrain from
impulsiveness. Convert the itchy to motivation instead. Don't be
afraid to look at things differently. The energy to support that is
present too. The cattle prod of Uranus can even produce EUREKA
moments. Did you go to bed with a problem you didn't know the
solution to but were rather obsessed about? Because, if you managed
to lay it down and let it simmer you could wake up with the perfect
genius solution this morning.
Mercury is also waxing into
a delicious sextile with Saturn in Scorpio (12:08 PM). Talk about the
ability to suss out the details. This is a ridiculously intelligent
set up. It's practical, methodical, grounded and can visualize a
project from the roots up and the inside out. Take advantage of that.
Steer yourself away from negativity and toward determination.
On top of this strongly
practical mental energy, the Sun in Virgo catches up with Jupiter for
a conjunction at 6:03 PM imbibing us with needed confidence, new
perspectives and the ability to take the long view in many areas of
our life. Mercury is caught up in the details and this aspect allows
us to pull out a bit so we don't miss the forest for the trees.
Even though the morning was
a little shaky, things even out as the day moves forward and many may
find themselves feeling quite good. The Moon also waxes into a
practical supportive sextile with Saturn (2:02 AM) overnight while
also trining Mercury in Virgo (3:20 AM) . We are thinking clearly.
Optimistic, determined and solidly grounded. Nice!
Following the trine with
Mercury, the Moon is Void until entering Aquarius at 4:04 AM.

If you don't have something
nice to say, just hush. Welcome to Mercury in Libra. Welcome to the
doorway that leads to another Mercury Retrograde. The winged
messenger enters his shadow tomorrow in preparation for that. I could
give you a million reasons why I don't like Mercury in Libra. But,
the main one is due my own Mercury placement (in Scorpio in the 9th)
that is VERY “tell it like it is” and Mercury in Libra is
anything but that. HA! Sorry, I don't like it and you can't make me.
No offense meant to anyone who has the natal placement. I'm talking
about the energy in general not so much it's natives. It's fickle.
Indecisive. Overly cerebral and way too accommodating and WAY too
worried about what others think for my liking. Others may enjoy the
demure niceties. But, I don't.
When used appropriately,
it's not a bad placement at all. Those who have matured the natal
placement are wonderful examples of this. But, placing the energy
over the entire world that contains folks who don't know the pits and
downfalls..eh, I'll pass. The most infuriating thing about it, to me,
is the hinting. I'm intuitive. I can tell when someone is leading me
with their conversation but not coming outright and saying what it is
they really mean (and an unrefined Mercury in Libra is stellar at
this). Thing is, even though I KNOW what a person is hinting at, I
refuse to bend to it or acknowledge it because I favor things being
direct and open. And, I'm quite upfront about it. “I can tell you
want me to do something but until you come right out and say it, I
ain't doin it. Period.” So, yeah, that's my struggle with Mercury
in Libra. You know what I mean? It can be as simple as someone
saying, “I'd really like some ice cream” hinting to you to go get
them some. I'll hear, “I'd really like to some ice cream” and
say, “Cool. Go get you some.” But, if you come right out and ask
me, “Hey, would you get me a bowl of ice cream?” I'm quick to
say, “Sure!” Of course the scenarios are often more complicated
than that. That's just an example. Don't try to make me guess at what
you are getting at because I won't.
I'm also not really adept to
the exchange of niceties and light casual conversation. Don't waste
my time. And, if you think what I have to say isn't nice, I really
don't care. I want conversations with depth and meaning. There needs
to be some meat to it or I get bored and disinterested very quickly.
So, yeah, there's all that. It is just not my cup of tea. But, others
may enjoy the pleasantries and charming nature of the placement so
don't let my whining and complaining deter you from that.
Back to today in general,
the morning finds the Moon in Aquarius at an inconjunct to both the
Sun (10:44 AM) and Jupiter (9:52 AM). That looks quite inspiring to
me. Then, Mercury switches signs at 11:45 AM.
By midnight, the Moon is in
an uncomfortable opposition to Mars in Leo. We may want to do a
particular thing but we are also feeling socially responsible so our
plans should meet with that call. There is a bit of a tug of war
between the desires of “me” and the agenda of “we” if you
will. Balance it out. Mercury in Libra can actually help smooth this
irritation over...as much as I hate to admit that. But, yeah, it can
help to assess all sides of the equation and come up with a nice
accommodating medium or at least a well negotiated compromise.
Overall, the astrological
weather is breezy with just enough fire to keep things active. Earth
is present to deliver grounding and forward moving traction. The
meteorologic weather may follow in tow making this quite a pleasant
day. Enjoy and take advantage of that. The tides are due to rise as
the Moon continues to build over the next few days though few will
have inkling of that under this sky. It kind of sneaks up on us
later.

The tug of war between our
Moon in Aquarius and planets in Leo continues this morning as the
Moon opposes Venus Rx. We want what we want but does that fit into
the social agenda? Again, balance it out with the aid of Mercury in
Libra and reach out to grab the assistance of the incoming sextile
from the Moon to her current ruler, Uranus in Aries, that is waxing
in due to perfect at midday (12:56 PM).
Yes, our give-a-damn may
break a little in regard to whether our actions or motivations are
socially acceptable or not. We are driven to uniqueness,
inventiveness and freedom from meeting the expectations of others
even if the mental body is inclined to be overly concerned about it.
Emotionally we are less concerned about it and are able to foster a
bit of detachment in regard to the opinions of others.
The day does grow heavier as
we move forward due a waxing and sobering square from the Moon to
Saturn in Scorpio. Be sure your heart is in the right place and stay
on center. But, know it is a bit stressful and potentially
depressing. The Moon is Void after this aspect perfects at 3:03 AM
until entering the watery realms of Pisces at 4:52 AM tomorrow. Find
the leaks in your boat under Moon/Saturn and seal them up tight.

Release. That is what a Full
Moon calls for. Culmination. Letting go. And, occurring in Pisces
this could be quite an emotional ordeal especially given the fact
that an opposition to Jupiter (11:09 AM) occurs immediately prior to
the Full Moon's perfection. There is potential for things to get
wildly blown out of proportion. So, scale it back if you can and
maintain proper perspective. Be mindful of the details but don't get
swamped by them.
The Full Harvest Moon
perfects at 2:36 PM at 6 Pisces/Virgo 07. The Sabians for these
degrees are as follows:
For the Sun at 7 Virgo: In a
palatial harem bright-eyed women laugh happily. Early stage of
development of individual soul, with full yet binding
life-protection. Freedom from responsibility or restraint.
For the Moon at 7 Pisces:
Fog hides the shore; but on a clear rock a cross rests. Concentration
of values amidst the chaos of outer living. Clear light of high
realization. Acceptance of life's limits.
Hmmm. I find the Sun's
sabian a little triggering for some reason. In a harem? Happy and
laughing? Oh, so you enjoy being a sex slave? WTF? But on the other
side of this with the Moon's sabian the picture becomes a bit more
clear. Here we have women who have become accepting of their lot in
life and have found a way to be happy within those confines. All the
while, the Moon admits that in every life there are likely
limitations and certain “cross” to bear. Ok. I'll buy that. Just
don't be so complacent that you miss the fact that you can take
control of your own situation. Sure, there may be sacrifices that
have to be made. You give up the cushy red velvet pillow your harem
master supplies in favor of freedom..which often does have a price.
The question is, are you willing to pay it? I'm not the complacent
type. But if the sacrifices you have to make in order to get out of
the situation you find yourself in are too much for to you pay then,
well, snuggle in and accept something as your “lot” if you like.
I just have a hard time swallowing that on a personal level. It is
true that we all have a certain “cross” to bear and realization
and acceptance of that can make all the difference. I can work within
my personal limitations..I'm just not really keen on enforced
limitations. But, that's my thing.
This Moon is a lot about
acceptance of where you are right now. You are here standing directly
on the X. Whether you choose to stay on that X or make plans to move
forward are up to you. Sometimes the realization and where we are and
what we are and are not capable of becomes quite a deflating and
emotional affair. If you find yourself in that position I greatly
encourage you to express and purge those emotions in an effort to get
them outside of you and into the open air where they can dissipate.
Holding on to them will poison you. So, get it all out. In some
instances, this is going to happen without effort. Regret, remorse,
guilt and what have you may pour out of us. This is where the
emotionality sneaks up on us. Be easy with yourself. We are reaping
what we've sewn. They don't call it the Harvest Moon for no reason.
So, if you aren't getting the fruit you wanted then quit planting
those seeds in sour soil, you know? But, yeah, it's quite a personal
checkpoint.
Withdraw. Meditate. Sleep.
Seek solitude. Deal with your emotional self accordingly. Listen less
to what the world is telling you and lean into what your Soul is
saying. The best answers are found there not in the opinions of
others. Purge dirty and gunked up emotional waters and allow yourself
to be detoxed of their poisons. Once your waters are clear again,
things will begin making more sense. But, you've got to deal with
that muddy water first. And, it's purely an inside job that takes on
extreme personal nuance. Intuition, symbolism, dreams and music hold
the keys right now. Pay attention. And if your “cross” becomes
too heavy to bear...let it go. At least for now.
The Moon meets Neptune by
conjunction at 6:21 PM and the waters are rushing out of the dam.
Feelings can become chaotic and confusing. However, a restorative
sextile from the Moon to Pluto in Capricorn is on the way to provide
assistance overnight (1:46 AM). Sleep on it. It's going to be
alright. This too shall pass and we will survive it. Have faith in
that. Just don't try to squirrel this stuff away in an effort to
maintain appearances. Get it out in the open once and for all.
