Morning Star: Astrology for the week of July 26, 2015 through August 1, 2015

This morning we wake up to the Moon in Scorpio leaving a square with Jupiter in Leo (1:56 AM). Mars is trine Chiron (4:06 AM). Uranus (4:10 AM) and Venus have turned retrograde (5:27 AM yesterday). At 5:16 AM, the Moon met Saturn in Scorpio by conjunction before reaching Void Status, which is where she will remain until entering Sagittarius at 8:26 AM.
The Moon's first aspect from Sagittarius is a square to Venus newly Rx at 9:50 AM. Then she makes a harmonious trine with our fiery Sun in Leo at 2:57 PM. Next up is another fire trine with Mercury in Leo at 10:27 PM. And, finally we wind out the energy of our Sunday with a Moon/Neptune square at 1:45 AM which should help us to sleep soundly in preparation for Monday.
What we have here is a set up for a fairly active day. The weather, in most parts, looks as if it is conducive for being outside and perhaps adventuring a bit. Uranus turning Rx may put a monkey wrench into some of those plans, though. Certain machinery may misfire; electric service may flicker and anxiety could also be a factor as the Lightning God's energy is agitated. Expect the unexpected and roll with it.

Overall, after the conjunction from Moon to Saturn wanes, the day is fairly light. It's a great day for going to the movies, theater or some other entertainment venue. An outdoor theater? Even better. Lay your heavier burdens down for the day and allow some space for play and recreation. Wear yourself out with it. Fun and laughter are good medicine.

Monday, July 27, 2015
This morning, the fog lingers a bit as the Moon wanes in square to Neptune and Mercury lingers near the same by inconjunct (7:06 PM). Yesterday's sunshine is met with today's pop-up thundershowers. I don't see it as that big of a deal...and neither is the Astrology of the rest of our day. The only other lunar aspect we deal with here is a liberating trine between the Moon and Uranus at 10:01 PM.

The mental body may be a little mixed up today due the inconjunct to Neptune. We could be forgetful, distracted and not really “into” whatever task we have before us. Uranus is still quivering a bit before he steadily starts moving RX so the trine to him from the Moon tonight may make our emotional body a little shaky. But, overall, this isn't a harsh day which is a nice way to kick off a new week.

This morning we wake up under a buoyant and active trine from the Sagittarius Moon to Jupiter in Leo at 9:38 AM. The sun shines brightly through our windows beckoning us to rise and shine. From here, the Moon is Void until entering Capricorn at 2:49 PM. This is a great time to make progress on unfinished projects or just enjoy the break from emotionality for a bit. It's not passionate. It's not emotionally pointed. Most of us are even keeled and just having a regular old day, which could be quite nice for a change.
The point of ease continues as the Moon in Capricorn creates a trine with Venus in Virgo at 3:45 PM and then begins waxing into a softening sextile with Neptune in Pisces (6:50 AM). Today is largely subdued. The evening is geared for unwinding. Yep. I'll take it. Moon/Venus in Earth by harmonious aspect is wonderfully grounding and the alchemy of gentle, pleasing work can be like a balm to your soul. This isn't fast work. It's slow methodical work that can also benefit from engaging our imagination/creativity in a practical and useful way. Set your pace on slow and enjoy the gentleness of this.
Wednesday, July 29, 2015
The pleasant sextile between the Moon and Neptune lingers in our morning hours. We are slow to wake up and it takes a little while for the fog to dissipate. However, as the day goes forward, the sky grows in heaviness with a Moon/Pluto conjunction occurring at 2:24 PM. The pressure to perform is on. Many are skeptical; because, they can “feel” this darkness creeping in. The gentle musical feel from the first of the week turns into something that sounds like “monster warning” music from some cheesy horror flick. Keep on keeping on until you have reason to truly be paranoid. Otherwise, don't let your fear of the unknown knock you off track. Moon/Pluto can be just as ferociously brave as it can be debilitated through paranoia. Keep your radar up; keep walking.

Paranoia can definitely be a thing as well as obsessive thinking or getting stuck on a thought loop through a sneaky inconjunct from Mercury to Pluto at 11:20 PM. Some of those paranoid “inklings” could be valid as a shocking Lunar square to Uranus enters our late overnight hours at 1:52 AM. If there are really monsters outside your door then do whatever you need to do to deal with that. But, don't let imagined fears or out of control paranoia keep you awake all night...though, that is a possibility too. The night is bright under a nearly full moon. Don't let her light play tricks on you.

Today starts out under an umbrella of ambiguity. We've got plenty of work to do in our official jobs; but, there are priorities that need to be addressed at home, too. The Moon opposes Mars in Cancer at 7:25 AM. Which responsibility are we supposed to attend to first? It can feel like standing in two worlds at once while both are calling for your attention. Balance it out. Working to provide income for your household IS meeting your household responsibilities. The dishes can wait. However, immediate needs of family/children attain priority over daily grind work. Let your chips fall where they may.
Some of this ambiguity evens out as we move forward into our day with a super supportive sextile from the Moon in Capricorn to her current ruler Saturn in Scorpio. Whatever you decided to focus your energies upon can be accomplished with diligence. Serious headway can be made here in the area you choose. We are well grounded and responsible engaging in our life as if we own it...which is good. Because, we do.

After the sextile to Saturn, the Moon is Void until entering Aquarius at 5:41 PM. The Moon is at its fullest point as we enter our nighttime hours. The Full Moon perfects in the morning at 6:44 AM at 7 Leo/Aquarius 56. Individuality meets social consciousness. We see how our unique talents can help in group activities. We let go of potential selfish and single sided thinking in favor of the long view for our culture at large. We see what individual changes need to be made in an effort to engage in the New World opening before us. This Full Moon falls in the sign of hope, friendship, social networks and wishes. Shower yourself with some of that. Let shimmering Moonlight trickle over you and across your window sill. This is a SWEET Moon to pull out all your spiritual equipment for a good cleansing and recharging, if nothing else. It's great for gathering in groups for mutual support and exchanging of ideas in social circles with a common agenda. This is the Come Together and Make a Wish Moon, to me and the Full Sturgeon Moon in everyday language. This is the time of the year that native tribes focused on fishing as sturgeon patterns were often conducive of a bountiful catch. Whether you are the fish or the fisherman, you are gathering with folks of your tribe. The Sabians for this Moon are as follows:
For the Sun at 8 Leo: Proletarian, burning with social passion, stirs up crowds. Leavening of the inchoate materials of a new order by a forceful vision born of repression and misfortune. Revolution.
For the Moon at 8 Aquarius: Wax figures display beautiful gowns in store-windows. Need for public presentation of virtues and life standards. Exteriorization of value, that may be shared with others.

So, there may be efforts made out there to stir folks up. But, mostly, we look at the act dispassionately and are unaffected...mannequins have a tendency to react like that. If faced with a rousing speech, retain your ability to think for yourself. Don't follow the other lemmings off the cliff even if that is traditionally what everyone else does. Boundaries up, game face on and remember it has no meaning until you ascribe meaning to it.
Friday, July 31, 2015
The Full Sturgeon Moon hangs like a sparkly umbrella over most of the day. Emotions are logical..nearly Vulcan in manner. But things are due to become a bit more personal as Venus Rx crosses back into Leo at 11:27 AM. Plus, the Moon is waxing into an opposition with Mercury which is due to perfect at 10:27 PM. Who is that lion over there roaring and making such a racket. Has he no decorum? You don't have to shout and carry out dramatics in an effort to accomplish what you want, do you? Surely this Moon understands that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few so why is this person over there whining about being shafted when it's clear that it was necessary collateral damage? Or is there a social outpouring with cries of injustice?

Uh huh. This is the feel of the day. Selfish acts and whining of “what about me” are met with an icy Aquarian glare that slides right down the pointy nose on their face. Flailing is ignored and frowned upon. When you compose yourself, then you may rejoin the group and not before. So, go clean up your act and come back when you do. Your high emotions are not making sense and are a bit too self-centered to serve anyone. Believe it or not, it's not all about you and your opinion. There's a bigger picture here and that's the point that this Moon drives home. The needs of the MANY not just the needs of “You.”

Saturday, August 1, 2015
Welcome to a new page on the calendar! This morning, we wake up under a sparkling sextile from the now waning Aquarius Moon to her current ruler, Uranus in Aries (3:12 AM). The “come together” vibe continues. However, there are a few veils cast across the morning by an inconjunct from Moon to Mars at 10:52 AM and an inconjunct from the Sun in Leo to Neptune in Pisces at 2:24 PM. There could be a bit of ambiguity in regard to which activity we would like to embark on. On top of that, we could be a little lazy and subdued due that sneaky Sun/Neptune aspect. However, a lunar opposition to Jupiter in Leo at 3:16 PM beckons us to venture into open terrain. Unfortunately, that venturing is met with a heavy Lunar/Saturn square at 3:50 PM. Adventuring may hold no joy as we are burdened with responsibility and emotional sobriety. So, today is a catch 22. Darned if you do. Darned if you don't. In my opinion, that just equates to “might as well give it a shot.” Trying and failing is better than never knowing.

It's a great day for piddling or tinkering with no set agenda. Instead, follow how you feel and heed those messages. Feel like you need to get out? Then, get out. Feel like you want to bury yourself in isolation? Then, bury yourself in isolation. Heed the emotional call you are receiving without guilt. But, know there is more ambiguity and demotivation coming to our atmosphere early tonight through an opposition from the Moon to Venus at 6:03 PM. From here, the Moon is Void until diving into Pisces at 6:37 PM. Plus, Saturn is quivering in station, due to turn direct and start moving back out of Scorpio at midnight tonight. Sober and subdued. Potentially depressed. Emotions are a thing.

Responsibility weighs heavily across the sky. And, then, it all dissolves or gets washed away under the incoming Pisces Moon. Catch and release. Let the waves wash in and take what they may while searching the beach for the treasures they leave behind.

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of July 19 through July 25, 2015

This morning we wake up to the Moon in Virgo. Her current ruler, Mercury in Cancer, is in trine to Chiron. When I first saw this aspect, I thought of the word “fluid.” Makes sense, given that it is a water trine. But, the sense I received was a bit more than that. It was fluid in movement, fluid in speech, fluid in release. Take that as you will. To me it is a hint toward the majority of the day. Time flows and the general aim is toward rest, recuperation and efforts toward healing. As I woke up this morning, though, I didn't want to speak. Silence was a blessing. This is how this trine could play out for some...quiet, healing and contemplation.

The flow continues as the Moon opposes Neptune at 3:45 PM. This looks like the perfect set up for a Sunday afternoon nap. At the very least, it's good for a bit of lazy self-indulgence. There is not much ambition found under this sky. Tears could flow.
By midnight, we are working our way to being restored to full power under a sturdy Moon/Pluto trine. Sleep is deep but psychologically probing. Watch for symbolism to appear.

Monday July 20, 2015
This morning we are awake and active as the Moon in Virgo meets Mars in Cancer by sextile at 7:31 AM. This provides enough Water and Earth to make our movements gentle and, yet, solid. Coordination is precise; we feel alert.
By 3:36 PM, though, the Moon is in a prickly opposition to Chiron which could cause hurt feelings or regret. We've got time to sort out the details and put everything into order of priority through a lunar sextile with Mercury in Cancer at 11:04 PM. With Venus in Virgo, many are behaving themselves. The roar of Leo has subsided a bit and we become more introspective in matters of Venus. More practical. We simplify and may be prompted to clean up our act a bit under this sky. At the same time, our tastes may become very particular. If we ordered a sandwich with cheese then a sandwich without cheese is not going to cut it. Our tastes have specificity and refinement. We don't just want any cup of coffee. We want the perfect cup of coffee, for example. Aim for such if you choose. However, this aim toward perfection will be examined and re-examined, picked apart and put back together again when Jupiter enters Virgo. Perfection is an unattainable IDEALIZED goal. However, when the planets align just right, the perfect cup of coffee is possible. Just know your idea of the perfect cup is likely different than someone else's.

Clean up your act. But, don't think that pouring bleach on your head will do the trick. Venus in Virgo always reminds me of those Orbit Gum commercials.

Tuesday, July 21, 2015
This morning the support fostered from Cancer to Virgo continues in our morning hours with a nice sextile between the Sun and Moon (6:02 AM) as we begin our day. Support is also drawn to each of these bodies from Saturn. The Moon meets Saturn Rx in Scorpio by sextile at 6:08 AM. The Sun perfects in trine to Saturn at 7:08 AM. Oh. My. Gosh. I love the look of this set up!
Please understand my tastes are not usually something that other folks enjoy across the board. So, if you are the type that likes a wild day of uninhibited abandon, well, this isn't the day for you. But, if you are ready for a practical “ho hum, nothing exciting really went down today, it was blessedly business as usual.” then it is.

After her sextile to Saturn, the Moon is Void until entering Libra at 9:24 AM. Our Libra Moon answers to a quivering Venus in Virgo. We don't put lipstick on the pig. We give it a bath. No frilly bows or decorations. A clean pig is good enough. Let me give you an example. While Venus was in Leo, I bought all these lovely colors for my hair. Turquoise. Lavender. Deep Sea Blue. I waited until I really had time to sit down an focus on getting the colorful look I was going for. This luxury of time and focus didn't come until after Venus entered Virgo. I'm halfway through my coloring procedure and I've decided...meh...I don't like this anymore. I love the wild colors. But, somehow it all seems really high-maintenance to me. After Venus flips backward into Leo and comes out into Virgo again in the fall, I know I'll be done with the high color game for awhile. I've got something else in mind. Something a little more practical. You too may notice a bit of a shift in your tastes at this time. Venus in Virgo is fine with cleanly naked and natural. That's the “look” I see coming to our sphere this fall. Subdued colors. Earth tones. Natural and without a bunch of frills, lace and sequins to cause a fuss. “I'll take it,” says this Libra stellium that answer to a natal Venus in Virgo. Simplify. Clean it up. Play up your natural beauty.

Aside from my pontifications on fashion and hairstyles, today is blessedly solid. Traction is accessible and we have the ability to make some sturdy forward headway. Emotionality is not high. We are not washed away by Neptune. It's steady, reliable and pleasant, though, we still may be leaning toward the particular side. That being said, about the only thing that may hinder your progress is too much focus on perfection and not enough focus on production. I'm telling you, let your attachment to perfect and pristine loose a little. You'll save yourself a few headaches and a TON of frustration.

Today is the day of this week that starts to shake things up a little bit. We wake up to a Libra Moon waxing toward a square with Pluto. We've been down this road before. Lunar squares to Pluto happen twice a month. Power struggles, emotional manipulation and shadow dancing are par for the course under a sky like this. So is paranoia, obsession and fear.
Our mental bodies are well grounded and deeply realistic through a trine from Mercury in Cancer to Saturn in Scorpio (1:51 PM). Intuition is kicking and finds practical use under the focused ability to interpret such language gifted by Saturn in Scorpio. Realize your words, whether spoken or written (or just your thoughts), carry weight today. Wield each responsibly. Mean what you say. Say what you mean. Leave any “fluffling” or attempts to pretty up a pile of poo with glitter for another day. It ain't gonna fly today. Our Libra Moon is answering to Venus in Virgo which means sweeping the dust under the rug isn't going to cut it either. As a matter of fact, it may be time to clean the rug too.
Sometimes, I run across locations in my house that I'm afraid to clean. (yes, there is a reason why I'm admitting this) My laundry room is a very small and place. There are plenty of dark corners that tend to gather dust and cobwebs quickly. I avoid cleaning this space like the plague. It requires me to squish into tight places where there could be (gasp!!) a spider lurking. In case you don't know, I'm claustrophobic and arachnophobic. Stuff like this is a living nightmare to me. My freaking chest is tightening up just thinking about it. Thing about that is I'm also brave. Eventually I take a deep breath, put my cleaning gloves on and pull out the washer and dryer to clean that space. When I'm done, I feel sooo much better. But, BOY do I ever procrastinate about doing this because of my fears.
Today, roll up your sleeves and clean out those dark corners whether they be in your home, outside or merely in your head. Or not. Leave that spider in that dark corner alone. She won't mind. And, when you finally do get to her she'll have 100 or more babies on her back. Uh huh...that's what I thought.

The kicker to this day is due the fact that the Sun lingers on the 29th degree of Cancer ALL day until he jumps into Leo at 11:31 PM. Mercury is right behind the Sun lingering near this degree too. He leapfrogs into Leo tomorrow morning. This brings particular attention to the final Sabian of Cancer which is, “A lady of aristocratic descent proudly addresses a club.” Rudyar further explains this with the following, “The will and ability to maintain a social supremacy based on thoroughly established tradition. Inner or outer aristocracy.” Sounds stuffy, stoic and anally retentive to me. Get over yourself. We all put or pants on one leg at a time and even royals have to leave their plush throne for a porcelain one eventually. True royalty realizes their call to service and is humbled by their blessings and status. Ya ain't gotta be born of a pristine bloodline in order to wear that crown. The words “social supremacy” make my blood boil. Though, the days set up does make me wonder about what Kate Middleton has on her agenda. She's a breath of fresh air aristocrat that I'd like to hear more from. Not less. Otherwise, folks who walk around with their pointy noses in the air just prompt me to wish for rain.

Thursday, July 23, 2015
The tension that began on humpday persists on this day of Thor. This morning the Sun is in Leo and the Moon is in Libra which is typically a very nice mix. However, our Libra Moon is stressed. She meets with Mars in Cancer by square at midnight (just after the Sun crosses into Leo) and then squares off with Uranus at 3:03 AM. It's likely to be a tossing, turning, restless kind of night leading into today. Coming out of something like that sucks; because, today is geared to be busy and mentally active. What's going to happen, that I see, is folks are going to be dragging themselves out of non-restful slumber and pumping in the caffeine in an effort to engage in the rat race and...well, have you ever been over-stimulated and over-tired to the point you are kind of slap happy? Yeah. It's a lot like that. Plenty of room for error in that mix.
Mercury shifts into Leo at 8:15 AM. The Moon meets Jupiter by sextile at 2:14 PM. Then, Mercury meets the Sun by conjunction at 3:24 PM. After the sextile with Jupiter the Moon is void until entering Scorpio at 10:09 PM which is actually a good thing. But, man, things are moving FAST and we could find ourselves struggling in an effort to keep up. Don't drive faster than your guardian angel can fly. Be wary of over-stimulation, nervousness, anxiety and headaches. However, if by some blessed miracle, you managed to get a good night's sleep last night you could wake up motivated, inspired and flushed with inspiration and joie de vivre. If you find yourself in that position realize that you are of a lucky few. Most will be seriously taxed and strained under this sky.

After the Moon crosses into Scorpio (10:09 PM) she meets with Venus in Virgo by sextile at 11:38 PM. Before you go picking yourself apart for all the stupid mistakes you made today, remember what I said about perfection being illusive. All that matters is that you did the best you could with what you had to work with. The hard part is going to be fostering the ability to be alright with that.
Overnight, our First Quarter Moon perfects between Sun in Leo and Moon in Scorpio. The Moon is going to square off with Mercury too at 1:07 AM. Yuck. The battle between the Lion and the Scorpion is one of the toughest battles in the sky in my opinion. Be easy with yourself. Ripping yourself to shreds over stuff you cannot change or undo serves no one. All you can do is vow to do better tomorrow and then follow through. However, this is the second night in a row in which insomnia could be a commonality. Tired brains are not effective brains. Give yours a break while knowing JUST DOING THAT may be a challenge.

Friday, July 24, 2015
We've been busy the last two days. Some have lost sleep and wrenched their guts completely inside out. Today, we dissolve into emotional waters with a lunar trine to Neptune at the end of our work day (4:42 PM). Stick a fork in it. We are done. Instead of trying to continually keep all the balls in the air, our arms drop flaccidly to our sides as we dispassionately let the balls hit the floor.
For some, the only true ambition found in this day will be focused on finding a place to take a nap. We are sensitive, sleepy and subdued to a degree. Give in and surrender to that. Naps are a blessing not a sin.

Overnight, as the potential for a good night's sleep FINALLY finds us, there is also the potential to be emotionally and physically restored through a nice sextile from the Moon in Scorpio to her current ruler Pluto in Capricorn. Earmark tonight for personal restoration. Chances are many will need it.

Saturday, July 25, 2015
This morning, Venus stops quivering and officially turns retrograde in Virgo at 5:27 AM. She'll stay in Virgo for a few days prompting us to re-assess our particularities. Then, on July 31 she falls back into Leo giving us a chance to re-assess our own worth and what it is we personally value. I'll talk more about that when the time comes. Believe it or not, Venus officially turning retrograde is not what is going to make waves today. It's Uranus who is the main irritant of the day. Oh, Venus isn't comfortable at all. But, the fact that Uranus is also stationing and in square to Mars first friggin thing this morning (5:43 AM)...yeah, that's what is going to make the news of the day.
Folks often have a hard time dealing with Uranus transits. Why? Because, they call for patience. Uranus catalyzes us to DO SOMETHING RIGHT NOW! But, unless we are in an emergent situation, impulsiveness is usually not a good idea. Plus, the Moon is in Scorpio. So we have these electric cattle prods being thrown from the sky and our emotional bodies are acutely feeling their impact.
If you can hold yourself at bay in the morning, there is a chance that things could smooth out a bit in our early evening hours through a flowing trine between the Moon in Scorpio and Mars in Cancer. FLOWING I said. Not the herky-jerky itchy impulsiveness that is catalyzed by Mars square Uranus. Paaaaaaaaaatience. Precision. Don't cut down the whole damn tree if you really only need to trim a few branches.

The element of water persists with a trine from the Moon to Chiron at 3:34 PM and a second trine to Chiron from Mars at 4:06 AM. Mashed in between this Grand Water trine is a lunar square to Jupiter in Leo at 1:56 AM. Uranus officially turns retrograde at 4:10 AM on the 26th.
What happens when you mix electricity with water? Yeah, it's not really a safe or stable mix is it? That is essentially what is going on in our emotional and physical bodies today. The Moon doesn't meet up with our grounding element of Saturn until early in the morning on Sunday. So, you may have to foster your own sense of grounding and insulation in the meantime. I highly recommend you do so. Otherwise, promptings from the outside world (those cattle prods I was talking about) could seriously shake things up for you. Boundaries. Grounding. And that word that EVERYONE loves so much...PATIENCE. Absorb and convert the potential shocks never ONCE forgetting YOU DO NOT HAVE CONTROL OVER WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU BUT YOU DO MAINTAIN CONTROL IN REGARD TO HOW YOU REACT/RESPOND TO IT. Breathe. Take time to think about it before you do it. Then, breathe, some more. Expect that keeping yourself on center is probably going to be the biggest thing on your task list today. If you manage to do that, you can mark this day up as a success.

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of July 12 through July 18, 2015

Neptune and Uranus are factors as we begin another week. This morning we wake up to the Moon in Gemini. She passes by both the Sun and Uranus by minor aspect early this morning. Meanwhile, the Sun is perfecting in square to Uranus in Aries by 10:53 PM. The Moon, however, lingers in square to Neptune through midday (1:19 PM). That's quite an odd mix to have, folks. We are fogged up this morning and lightning struck by tonight.

First thing I saw with this was a slow gas leak that begins seeping out in the morning. Then, unsuspecting home owners come home and flip on a light switch... KABOOM! Scary. Yet, the scenario fits with the Astrology. On a less extreme note, we are hazy, foggy, perhaps still a little sleepy or distracted for the biggest part of the day. Neptuned, basically, numbed, emotionally wrung out, drifty. Then, we start to get poked from that slumber through the perfection of Sun/Uranus in one way or another. Feelings of nervousness and anxiety can be prompted here...there's a prickly feel to the air as it becomes more static kind of like it does right before an electrical storm. But, the blessing here is that Sun square Uranus can catalyze us right out of the dullness and fog of Neptune. We are prompted to step out of wallowing. Our give a damn may break a little over the whole thing. We may react impulsively or erratically. Or, we may just decide to do something different. We could very well have one hellacious thunderstorm due this set up in which many lose electric sevice. In your drifting of the morning, expect the unexpected tonight. Have a back up plan and be ready to be on your toes in the event you have to react quickly.

Mercury is steadily moving toward a trine with Neptune which perfects tomorrow (July 13). So, know that information could be confused, skewed, misunderstood. It may, at times, feel a bit like a Mercury retrograde as this energy builds. Be wary of losing your keys, dropping your cell phone in water, veiled truths and listen to what is NOT being heed to what your gut is telling you about the information that comes in as that is going to be the more accurate barometer of the message here. Upticks in sinus problems, food allergies and vertigo are possible. Of course, Neptune is Rx so there could be some veils dropping as a result, as well. Do not drive impaired or distracted and be defensive in your navigation as others could very well fall in those two categories for various reason. Tomorrow carries a lot of the same energy while incorporating some of the expansiveness of Jupiter. As a matter of fact, it looks pretty busy so, if you can, get well rested in preparation for that.

Monday, July 13, 2015
This morning we wake up to the Moon still active in Gemini. Her first aspect is a WIDE AWAKE sextile to Uranus in Aries at 8:50 AM. This energy says RISE AND SHINE! Only problem with that is the Moon's ruler is due to perfect in trine to Neptune Rx in our early evening hours (3:14 PM). So, emotionally we are loaded for bear but mentally we are less linear and more subdued. We are not thinking clearly, really. Our logical body is drenched in ethereal waters. This gives us the ability to really tap in intuitively but it makes working with linear concepts and methods of straight logic difficult. What this means is if you are a person who typically works with linear and straight logic (math concepts, computers, hard scientific stuff, etc) you may struggle today getting the dots to connect. But, MAN if you are in a more creative profession could you EVER come up with some brilliant ideas under this sky. Imagination and the ability to create or dream up new things is greatly highlighted here.

Today is Bohemian. Gypsy. Out of the box and dreamy. It is not corporate or business oriented. Information runs in circles. The path from Point A to Point B gets skewed and we are called to color outside the lines. In that, some folks will LOVE this day. But, those who are not comfortable with disarray and potential disorder and prefer to have all their little ducks lined up neatly in a row will find it overly frustrating; because, the ducks are all wild colors and running around like they got into your best case of wine. I think that sounds fun. But, to some, it will be just enough chaos to cause them to want to pull their hair out.

As Mercury perfects in trine to Neptune, the Moon links up with Jupiter by sextile either exacerbating the confusion or giving us a good opportunity to laugh at ourselves. There is a big call through the duration of this week not to take yourself too seriously. So, I'd recommend the latter.
Late tonight (10:53 PM) the Sun waxes into trine with Chiron in Pisces. A half hour later, she finds Venus by sextile. You are not perfect. You have private pains that stick like thorns in your psyche. But, you are loveable. You realize we all have these hurts and heartaches. As we retreat home to lick our wounds, we realize that our hurts are just as much a part of us as anything else. We can use them to foster empathy toward our fellow Earthmates or react like wounded animals who lash out eventually spreading their pain to others. It's a conscious choice to convert these primordial hurts into something useful instead of continuing to allow them to debilitate us. Tonight, we discover we are worthy of this conversion. Suffering is optional.
After her sextile with Venus, the Moon is Void until entering Cancer at 2:14 AM.

This morning, the Moon has returned home to Cancer. And, what an emotional roller coaster ride it has been since she left here! As soon as the Sun entered Cancer, our ego systems began to respond to every little movement of the Moon. We had the opportunity to traverse an entire spectrum of emotions. To a degree, it made me really glad that I am not a Cancer Sun Native. I'm sure most of these folks pay not a bit of attention to the fact that they are so lunar because life has always been like that for them. They grow to incorporate emotion into their daily life for better or worse. The well adept are not afraid of emotion. They are not ashamed to feel what they feel. It's just part of life. But, for those who aren't born in those waters and have a more Airy, Fiery or Earthy composition (Capricorn, Sagittarius, Libra, Aries, Aquarius...particularly) might have found Cancer season to be awash with TOO MANY FEELS! The big discovery? It takes strength, true from the heart strength, to swim through Cancer Season and deal effectively with your emotions.

Regardless of where your natal energy falls, we have all been honorary Cancers for awhile. So, how did you do? How did you fair with handling all the flux of the Moon and swimming in the sea of emotion? Did you learn anything about yourself in the process? I'm asking because, as of today, Cancer season starts to culminate and wane. But, before it does, we will be given the opportunity to set vows in regard to what we learned under the New Moon in Cancer on Thursday night. Oh. We've got a few more waves to endure before we get there. Don't take your life preserver off just yet. But, at this point, emotions have come full circle. Did you learn to deal with life in light of them? Or did they completely sweep you off your feet and drag you under? Are you still a victim of your emotional body or have you learned that you can choose which one you feel? What brought you joy? Sorrow? Pain? Remorse? Love?

Under today's Moon, the banjo strings on our hearts get pulled tight. Venus in Leo perfects in square to Saturn Rx in Scorpio. Ouch. This can bring tightening around finances and could even bring about loneliness and self-loathing. At the same time, though, if we've been responsible and mature in regard to matters of Venus (money, relationships, love, intimacy) then we feel the solidity of that. If we've not been, we could certainly feel the strain here. Our inner child stares into the future and sees the legacy of the adult she is to become. Does she like what she sees? Or is it a scary haggard image? I can't answer that for you. If you need to re-assess and change you will be given the opportunity to do so through the Venus retrograde. Venus' square to Saturn will show you exactly where you need to shore things up. It's not likely to be a kind and gentle message either. Though it may feel like you are being punished, you are not. You are being directed and given boundaries and limits. Be easy with yourself through this. Venus holds in orb of this square with Saturn all the way up through her station point on July 25 and returns to square Saturn again on August 5. At that time, Saturine energy will be very prevalent as he stations direct on August 2 while also in square to Jupiter (perfects Aug 3). Venus Rx meets Jupiter by conjunction a second time on August 4th just prior to officially hitting the wall of Saturn again. So, it isn't like the harshness of Venus/Saturn waxes over us only for today. The energy has hang time, for sure. It will be felt harshly by many. So, work hard to be responsible in regard to matters of Venus. This scenario will take time to fully play out. When Venus is direct again, she will square Saturn a third time. She will also trine Uranus two more times, conjunct Jupiter a third time and snuggle up with Mercury, the Sun and eventually, Mars.

Let's look at the dates of all that, shall we? I'm looking at August thinking, “MAN what a FIREBALL OF A MONTH! Seriously!”

Venus square Saturn

July 14 (Venus is Direct and Saturn is Retrograde)
August 4th (Venus is Retrograde and Saturn is Direct)
October 11th (Venus and Saturn are both direct and in Virgo/Sagittarius respectively)

Venus trine Uranus
June 29 (both planets direct)
August 19th (same degree but both planets are now RX)
September 22nd (Venus is direct and Uranus still RX meeting at the previous degree of the first two trines)

Sabian for 21 Leo (Venus first two trines)
Intoxicated domestic birds fly around in dizzy attempts. Unsteady first realization of spiritual being. Forced inspiration which the ego cannot sustain. False self-intoxication.

Sabian for 21 Aries (Uranus first two trines)
A pugilist, flushed with strength, enters the ring. Complete immolation of self in things purely physical. Intense self-assertiveness, physical and psychological.

Sabian for 20 Leo (Venus, last trine)
American Indians perform a majestic ritual to the Sun. Man's instinctive or traditional call upon basic life-energies for sustainment. Sense of fitness in behavior. Worship.

Sabian for 20 Aries (Uranus last trine)
A young girl feeding swans in a ark on a wintery day. Participation of self in life larger than any conception of selfhood. Protection, or the need for it.

Venus conjunct Jupiter

July 1 (21 Leo 38) this was under the Full Moon in Capricorn, remember?
August 4 (28 Leo 36) while both Jupiter/Venus hold in square to Saturn who just turned direct on August 2
October 25 (15 Virgo 39) By this time, we have a brand new ball game, folks. Venus is out of her shadow and in a new sign. She is not only joins Jupiter, but Mars is conjunct in that mix as well. Plus, Pluto is feeding this configuration by trine. The work you do NOW in regard to matters of Venus...growing her up, getting to know her, letting her beautifully mature, pays off right here. Right. Here. It's not an easy or particularly enjoyable undertaking. Though, there will be elation that passes through from time to time. But it is worth the work. This work (Saturn) has tremendous value (Venus/Jupiter) but we've got quite a stretch to go before we get there. Don't forget we traverse eclipse season before we get to this

Venus conjunct Sun
August 15 (22 Leo 39/Venus is RX)

Venus conjunct Mercury
August 6th (27 Leo 51) while Venus Rx, Jupiter and Mercury are all within orb of Saturn now moving direct in Scorpio

I look at this sky and immediately ask, why? What is the point of the focus upon Venus right now? She's been a front running rogue planet for a big part of this year. But, now she takes center stage through her retrograde. My answer to that question was answered fairly quickly when I looked at the position of our “destiny” marker through all of this. We are wrapping up our North Node in Libra session and preparing to shift into Virgoan territory in that regard. The Universe wants to know what you have learned about stretching toward the call of Libra thus far. So, it's going to test that a little before we move on. Pull out all the lessons you acquired during Saturn in Libra. Pull out anything you know about Venus in aspect to Saturn or Saturn through your 7th house. Prepare to review those lessons and get ready to employ all this Venetian knowledge as Mars, Jupiter and Venus converge in Virgo. Our nodal axis wobbles back and forth on the early degrees of Libra for what seems like FOREVER. The axis finally moves from Libra/Aries to Virgo/Pisces, officially, at the end of October/beginning of November depending on whether you calculate the mean or true node. Either way, it happens AFTER all this Venus stuff is tried and tested. Coincidence? Yeah..not so much. We wrap it all up IN Libra season. The Sun enters Scorpio on October 24, the day before the convergence of Venus/Jupiter/Mars in Virgo while all are within orb of a trine to Pluto...told ya, whole new ballgame by then.

Ok, adjust your spectacles and let's pull back in from gazing outward into the future and focus back on where we are now. Today, all the “feels” come home to roost and some may find their hearts broken or access to comfort and companionship limited or restricted. Ironically, it is a day of Venus but Venus finds herself under duress. We are still under a waning Moon being pulled to let go, let go, release, relinquish, though at times this act of letting go could seem like it was forced upon us instead of something we would have chosen for ourselves. That's hard to deal with on a personal level. We want to hang on to things we hold dear and when they are forcefully ripped away from us it causes all kinds of yucky feelings. Still...let go. Then, subsequently deal with your feelings about that effectively. Grow it up. Expect growing pains to be a part of that. It's going to level out. The work we do today and our ability to hold ourselves steady in regard to matters of Venus will eventually pay off. But, it's going to take A LOT to get there. We travel several Moon events including eclipses before this becomes more solid and rectified. Easy does it in the process. You are not alone even though it may surely feel like it from time to time. We are all essentially traversing these challenges the same time...but in different ways through varied circumstance. Today, the pressure of that is acutely felt. And, I'm nearly a 1,000 words deep into this day already and haven't it made it past 2:49 AM. LOL...geez

At 7:49 PM the Moon in Cancer is trine to Neptune. The tides rise along with our emotionality and we could very well be decently worn out from the stress and tightness of the day. As fog creeps in though and we lay our heads down to rest, the Moon meets up with Mercury by conjunction which may make it hard for us to settle our heads and relax our brains. The waxing conjunction of Moon to Mars could really kick this into high gear too. These two (Moon/Mars) meet up at 3:50 AM on the 15th. Darkness looms in our morning sky on Wednesday. The Moon links up the waxing oppositions between Mercury/Mars to Pluto and perfects in her own opposition with him at 4:10 AM. Deep. Gunky. Emotional. Dark. Very, very dark. There is no light from the Moon to guide us through this very, very dark, introspective, choppy and potentially stormy night. Protect your flame. Lock your doors. If it wants to leave, let it go.

Wednesday, July 15, 2015
The morning light will come as a relief to some. To others, it is a stark reminder that their opportunity to rest has passed by unfulfilled. Another day has come but the deep dark echoes of the night remain. Before we make it to the promise of the New Moon, we have some shocks to endure through a Moon/Uranus square at 4:11 PM; wounds to tend to through a lunar trine with Chiron at 5:52 PM and all this occurs as the opposition between Mercury in Cancer and Pluto Rx in Capricorn tightens perfecting merely two hours (7:38 PM) prior to the New Moon (9:25 PM).

Can you pull yourself out of this dark night of the soul? Sincerely, some will not make it. Those who do are given the opportunity to vow to survive. Many will feel what the Earth is like at rock bottom. Two songs come to mind in that regard. The first one says, “When you hit rock bottom there's only two ways to go..straight up...or sideways.” The second says, “If you going through Hell, keep on moving. Don't look back; if you're scared, keep going. You might get out before the Devil even knows you're there.” Keep all that in mind. Keep going. Don't let paranoia and fear get the better of you.

The New Moon occurs at 23 Cancer 14 with the following Sabian: Woman and two men castaways on a south seas island. The three “souls” in man---actional, emotional, mental---exiled in the body. Potential fulfillment. Sense of being lost in life. Alone with ourselves, our demons, our regrets, our joys, our everything. Are you comfortable there in your empty space all by yourself? Or, does the energy of just you make you feel hollow? Lonely? Scared? Are you lost? Take some time to pull your faculties together. This feeling will not sustain. We build from here. But, we have to survive “from here” first. Have faith in yourself to pull through and set your vow to do

At midnight, Mercury meets up with Mars bringing us a bit of OOOMPH...a bit of brightness...a bit of motivation. From this overall day of instability, the Moon finds traction through a trine with Saturn early tomorrow before she reaches void status at 7:25 AM. Things level out and our emotions get a short break, in time. Hang in there.

Thursday and Friday, July 16 and 17, 2015
This morning, we wake up packing our ability to endure and survive in tow. Things are a bit more sturdy under a Moon/Saturn trine that envelops us as the Moon reaches Void status. There is a feeling of resolve here. The Moon remains Void from 7:25 AM until entering fiery Leo at 10:16 AM. But, “fiery Leo” is currently on a leash of restraint due the Saturn squares still affecting Venus and Jupiter.
We do start to feel a little better though. The Moon waxes into trine with Uranus all day tomorrow which could work to bust up some of those feelings of restriction for better or worse. Plus, the Moon is is also waxing into a conjunction with Jupiter which perfects at 10:51 AM on Saturday. Just don't get too full of yourself. Maintain your sense of humility. Because immediately after our ego balloon starts to refill our emotional body stares into Saturn's abyss through a lunar square to Saturn at the end of our day on Saturday.

So, today and tomorrow, get your feet back under you but be gentle and generous. Being selfish, aggrandized and following a subservient agenda will get you smacked in the face tomorrow. The consequences of shooting up too fast and too self-assuredly are harsh. Gently rise. Gracefully rise...and if you can, drag some folks up with you instead of stepping on them to get ahead.
Friday is colored by a Yod that stretches over the entirety of the morning connecting the Moon by inconjunct to Pluto at 4:31 AM and to Neptune at 1:14 PM. The Moon sits on the apex of this Yod drawing very acute attention to how it is we feel about ourselves. That “feel” is supported by the deeply churning waters of Pluto mixed with Neptune. No light matter. The night is still fairly dark and quiet. Our emotional bodies respond to that and how we handle it makes all the difference.

Saturday, July 18, 2015
This morning we wake up to the Moon in Leo waxing into conjunction with Jupiter (10:51 AM) and then, subsequently hitting the Saturn in Scorpio wall at (5:42 PM). Venus is quivering at this point. She slowly enters Virgo at 6:39 PM preparing to turn backward on July 25th. She hang at 0 degrees Virgo until crossing back into Leo following the Full Moon in Aquarius on July 31. Her quivering, slowed down motion brings attention to the first degree of Virgo in quite a punctuated way. The Sabian for 1 Virgo is: In a portrait, the best of a man's trait are idealized. The shaping power of idea or ideal over outer form and behavior. Completeness of realization. Pure aggrandizement. Intent.

But matters of Venus are not solidified here. They won't be until she passes out of her shadow and officially crosses 1 degree Virgo. So, here, it's just an inkling that shows us where we've over glorified ourselves, where we need to bring reality to ground, where we need to make love real and where we can offer out talents up in service. What's important? Not WHAT you are doing but why bears significance here. What is it you are trying to achieve? Why? How? Because if it's only with your own benefit in mind it may not play out so well. However, if your intent is “best for all” truly...really truly, truly...then, things may go a bit easier. Selfish intent, not so good. A sincere wish to be part of the solution will put you right in the position to be so...eventually. This is a long stretch of love. A sincere one. Make sure your heart is in the right place.

After the square with Saturn (5:42 PM) the Moon is blessedly Void for nearly 3 hours. But, at that time, she joins hands with Venus and they both cross over into Virgo. Meanwhile, our minds are firing on absolutely ALL cylinders as Mercury squares off with Uranus at 9:08 PM. OCD symptoms as well as feelings of budding anxiety could be a thing. But, the ability to assess, triage and prioritize are in place. Use them wisely and generously without putting your cart in front of the horses. Slow. Easy. Practical. Systematically. Which is going to be a hard pace to maintain under the catalytic efforts of Mercury/Uranus. Yet, it can be done. Be realistic. Work to bring brilliance to ground. Watch for verbal blurting and lashing out. Shocking news could also come. Take it in stride as best you can. Expect shocks to your system to occur and be practical in your dealings with them. The shocks will pass but the consequences of your actions in light of them will remain.

Overall, this is a pivotal week. Doors close. Some SLAM shut. But, don't linger on that. Look at the door that is opening and let what wants to leave go. Contemplate what you will fill that space with rather than linger on the fact that it is empty right now. Deal with the emotions in a forthright manner as they come. REACH and STRETCH toward generosity and benevolence even if you are in a dark place. Don't let the darkness win. Keep fueling your light and grace yourself with gratitude for the things that have remained through all this. Don't gobble up all the resources in a panic. Take what you need and share the rest. Make friends with Saturn and don't expect any of this to be easy. But know it will be worthwhile. It's just really hard to see that from where we are sitting right now.

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of July 5 through July 11, 2015

This morning we wake up under the umbrella of Mercury in Gemini sextile Venus in Leo (4:19 AM). Pay attention to information that comes in from Mercury about Venus today. It is likely to be flip-flopped and reviewed when Venus turns retrograde. The Moon is also waxing into square with Saturn Rx in Scorpio. This is heavy, folks. It fills us with the weight of responsibility and, on top of that, could pack a depressive punch with it. Following this, however, the Moon is Void for 2 hours before diving into Pisces at 10:24 AM. Even though heavy, we may want to hang on to that feel of Saturn/Moon as we delve into the waters of Pisces. It makes for a good anchor so we don't drift away and it also makes a reliable raft to float upon as the waters continue to rise.

We are in a time of a waning Moon. During which, we are called to let go, release, wash away. There is no more perfect a Moon to do that under than this one. Pisces does allow us to relinquish our grip on some things if we choose. It also allows room for the flood gates to open allowing us to purge excessive emotionality in an effort to reach more solid ground. There is room for acceptance, forgiveness and surrender in the Piscean realm. Feel free to use it if you need to.
The rest of the day, the Moon waxes toward a conjunction with Neptune which perfects at 2:31 AM. Sleep comes in heavily tonight for most folks. We rest deeply and are ready to greet Monday even if we are a bit slow in responding to the sunrise. Be sure to set your alarm if you have to get up early.

Monday, July 6, 2015
This morning we wake up slowly under a Pisces Moon in waning conjunction to Neptune in Pisces. Our Luna energy is on her way to trine our Sun in Cancer at 10:06 AM. This is a “smooth sailing” aspect that may call for more indirect engagement in activity rather than direct. We adjust our tack according to the wind and condition of the seas. There is not much of a straight line found in that practice. So, if the direct doesn't work to get you where you need to go, try an indirect approach.
By 10:12 AM the Moon is in a fortifying sextile with Pluto just as the Sun passes by the same in opposition at 11:34 AM. Outstretch your antennae. Some folks will be up to no good. You are going to have to feel your way through most of this day and keep your radar sharp in an effort to feel the snakelike energy that may be attempting to exert itself. In other words, lean highly on your intuition. If it is telling you that something is up, exit the situation without having to have an excuse. Of course, watch for the tendency to be paranoid. But, still, if your gut or something else inside you is yelling “DANGER, DANGER!” I encourage you to heed that call the best you can.

At it's highest, this set of aspects can help a person get on board with tremendous personal change. We assess and feel our own power and exert it appropriately within our lives to essentially re-birth ourselves in a more positive way. At it's lowest, this energy can produce power plays, oppressive efforts, controlling tendencies, jealousy, clinginess, or even a feeling of self-loathing and hatred. Your best bet, under a Pisces Moon, swim away in the light of the lower energies in this sky playing out. In ego power struggles, let go of the rope while not standing around and waiting for the abuse to continue.
Disappear from the situation if need be; retreat to the safety of your shell.

Overall, today is watery and deep. There is potential for some really dank emotions to creep out. There is potential for paranoia and oppressive efforts. Be wary of all that. In the interim, worry less about what others are doing and focus more on what it is you are trying to do while sidestepping anything that falls in your path as an obstacle. Pay close, CLOSE attention to your internal guidance system and heed it's calls if it tells you something is “off” or “not safe.” Grieve if you need to. Address the emotional body's needs with meticulousness while realizing that sometimes under a Pisces Moon our emotional bodies ache with a sense of being unfulfilled. Sit with that ache if it occurs and assess what it is yearning for without grasping out desperately in an attempt to manipulate others into giving you what you need. That's your job. You've just got to sit with yourself for a time and figure out what that “need” may be. As we lay our heads down tonight, the Moon is conjunct Chiron and that ache is going to be prominent. Address the symptoms of that while digging deep to figure out what it is you feel you may be truly missing.
Tuesday, July 7, 2015
This morning we could feel a bit emotionally hung over. Our Pisces Moon had a very watery day yesterday and this morning we wake up with that Moon in square to Mercury (8:57 AM). Chatter could feel especially annoying this morning as we would rather simply continue our wallowing in quiet solitude. However, a nice trine from Saturn to our Moon brings forth a bit of traction to help us climb out of this swamp (10:37 AM).

From here, the Moon is Void for a few hours before entering Aries at 12:38 PM. The pace of the second half of the day is much more active than what we felt this morning. We are definitely awake now and ready to engage in whatever challenge presents itself. Some folks may be downright mad. Some may simply be feeling motivated. But, either way, there is a sense of ambiguity wrapped up under the “wake up” feel of this due to a waxing square between the Moon and her current ruler, Mars in Cancer (4:16 AM). We must stand up for ourselves. But, we must also protect the softer parts of us in the process and, again, a direct approach to any of that may not be the way to go.

Just as the Charioteer in the Tarot card the Chariot, directs her will in an effort to steer two horses who, in a different setting, could just as well be battling one another, give yourself conscious direction. Decide what it is you really want to accomplish and realize that isn't always accomplished by simply walking from point A to point B. Give your opposing energies a common goal and wrangle ambiguity into a common direction. Also realize a good warrior is well fed. So, you may need to practice a bit of self care before embarking upon any battle. Remember, Mars is also waxing into opposition with Pluto. Deeply, DEEPLY assess your motivations in an effort to find out what is truly stirring them while know that there may be others out there that are playing out sneaky plans to regain power and control. Again, even though we are well away from the Pisces Moon at this point, the intuitive body is still a factor with the Cancer energy we have in the sky. If the situation feels dangerous or ominous heed the warning signals of your intuition and exit the situation. Better safe than sorry. Batten down the hatches and secure the safety of the home front.

Wednesday, July 8, 2015
Today we wake up under a lusty and blood thirsty Aries Moon in square to Pluto in Capricorn (12:44 PM). The Moon temporarily linked up a waxing Cardinal T-square which involved herself, Mars in Cancer and Pluto in Capricorn. Some shady stuff may have went on overnight. And, this morning, we wake up in anticipation of it. We can feel that something shady is going on and we are ready to take the thing out. It is definitely not the day to run around pushing buttons. Reactions to such could be extreme. Folks are dealing with some pretty deep stuff and some of those folks could be reacting poorly to such and have an itchy trigger finger. If you want to persevere, you best bet is to steer toward defensive efforts rather than offensive ones. Don't start no shit in other words...cuz some folks will be locked, loaded and merely coiled up waiting for an excuse to unload. It's kind of a dark and scary day to be honest with you.

At 2:52 PM we receive a shift in the realm of our mental body. Mercury enters Cancerian waters kicking up the sense of intuition even more. I'm telling right now, I don't care how empathic Pisces is, I don't care how easily Scorpio can dig out the root of a situation, Cancer energy is THE most intuitive sign in the entire zodiac. And, folks with a lot of this energy feel and respond to it so naturally that they don't really think much about it. Overtime, these folks learn how to read the language of their intuitive body and doing so becomes just a part of life. They incorporate this guidance system and use it much like folks use their other senses. Today that intuitive gateway opens to all of us. Learning to read and appropriately respond to the inklings of our intuitive body is quickly going to become a thing. In that, the effectively you care for your internal water system, the more effectively you will be able to meet this call.

Intuition can enter the body the same way in which anxiety does. It can cause us to feel nervous and anxious. But, that feeling alone doesn't give you the message. It just alerts you that something is up. You have to chill that anxiety out and feel more deeply in an effort to suss out what it is your intuitive system is trying to tell you. Exacerbating these feelings of anxieties with stimulants makes it worse. We are more shaky and more prone to respond irrationally. Our thinking becomes skewed and our ability to discern the true message is greatly hindered. So, work to keep your waters clean and know that your logic system is likely going to answer to your Mood for awhile. We are embedded deeply in Cancer season at this point. We are one week away from a New Moon in the sign and we are being given ample opportunity to experience the elements of the sign VERY deeply in an effort to learn how to wrangle the energy appropriately in preparation for that. Part of steering this energy appropriately deals with being master and commander of our emotional body since, as of right this second, that entity rules both our mental and physical bodies as well as the way in which we prompted to express ourselves through ego. So, you don't want to let your emotions run around unchecked. Get a leash on them and steer them where you need them to go while expecting the rest to follow in tow, because it will for better or worse.
By 4:24 PM, we are under the pressure of our Last Quarter Moon that pits our Lunar energy against our Solar energy in a battle of “Do we fight? Or do we retreat? Do we kill them? Or make them dinner?” It's definitely a conflict of interests that needs to be effectively balanced out. I, personally, do not understand “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer” but if YOU do then that may be an effective way to handle this. But, again, we want to steer more toward defensive measures, if and when necessary, rather than offensive ones a this time. Plus, “direct” is not something that fits under this sky. So, sidewinding may be best stepping out of the path of charging invaders in the process.
Our ambition toward engaging in fights is weakening, too. Mars meets Neptune by trine at 6:43 PM and some ambitions are due to be washed away or dissolved. At the same time, we could feel angry for no good reason at all. Or, we could simply feel as if the energy has been completely drained out of us. Our anger melts into tears and there could be a bit of remorse for past actions wrapped up in that too. This trine melts Mars in away that imbibes him with compassion and empathy which is probably a good thing since he is also still waxing into opposition with Pluto. This aspect can bring a sense of softness to that lusty, power hungry and potentially devouring aspect. Release the grip on your anger and let it dissolve. Treat the real pain that prompts it. Cry if you need to. But, get the poison out of your emotional body that prompts bitterness, a need for revenge, clinging controlling efforts and subservient control or emotional manipulation tactics. Just let it go. Let it all go. Open your hands in release.
This conscious release can produce feelings of extreme elation (eventually) and even a sense of stronger independence and freedom of self. The anger is not allowed to control us anymore. We can use it for motivation. The Moon meets with Uranus at 11:17 PM. Either way, whether we release our hold on our anger and hurt or grasp more tightly to it, our give-a-damn about the whole thing breaks for better or worse under this conjunction. Letting go produces the higher expression of Moon/Uranus while holding on could produce an impulsive explosion. So, where you end up is your choice. Be more free? Or be the victim of your own pain and anger? Your choice. Which you are free to make. You are also free to carry around the consequences.

Thursday, July 9, 2015
Shew, finally today is a bit lighter and more mobile than most of the previous week. This morning we wake up to the Aries Moon making a jubilant trine with Jupiter in Leo (4:02 AM). She waxes into trine with Venus in Leo at around close to the same time (9:47 AM). These two trines are felt in tandem and they have us regrouping and starting to feel a bit better about ourselves. It's not very ambitious though. We are more inclined toward self-indulgence than taking to the battle field or piling on extraordinary amounts of work. We are ready to call a halt to this washout of a week.

After the trine with Venus, the Moon is blessedly Void until entering Taurus at 3:50 PM. This gives us a chance to wrap up what we've started earlier in the week or to slack off and do not much at all. Nothing is going to come of it, right? So, why not have something a little rich and sweet for lunch. Treat yourself. Romance yourself a little. No one's watching and who gives a flip if they are. You are allowed to do this. It reminds me of a story someone told me about her Dad. He was a hard worker and one day he came home exhausted from work and sat himself down in his chair with a whole gallon of ice cream and a spoon. When her mother walked in to ask what he was doing eating ice cream before dinner he said, “I'm eating ice cream because I'm an adult and I can.” Yep. There ya go. You have that authority too. Why are you eating an ice cream sundae for lunch? Because, you earned the money to buy it and you can. That's why. So, indulge yourself a bit and share some while you are at it or simply encourage others to do the same. We all deserve it.

At 7:35 PM, the Moon brings a welcomed bit of Earth to our mental bodies via a sextile from the Moon to Mercury in Cancer. This is nicely solid and brings form to any intuitive inklings the mental body may be picking up on. It brings those inklings to ground and helps us make a solid decision in regard to them. It's a nice, grounded, realistic approach colored by the softness of Cancer. Rich. Fertile. Grounded. Not too stubborn. Not too malleable. Just right. We feel better. We are thinking more clearly. Today offers a welcomed break from an otherwise tumultuous week.

Friday, July 10, 2015
On this last day of our work week, we find the Moon in stable Taurus waxing into sextile with Neptune in Pisces (8:29 AM). We are slow and subdued coming out of the gate this morning. We plod awhile and nap awhile not getting too caught up in work or business but we have enough Earth to keep us centered within the day. This is a nice and easy feeling but, it could also be a bit lazy. I find no fault in that.

Energy does pick up a bit as the day moves forward and the Moon makes a nice sextile with Mars in Cancer. Again, this isn't overly motivating but it does give us the energy to do what needs to be done to finish out this week. Forward moving efforts are smooth and sturdy but not overly quick. Taurus doesn't move quickly. Cancer certainly doesn't move quickly. But, there is an ability to casually move some ground here if we need to. That ground moving is fortified by endurance as the Moon waxes into trine with Pluto at 4:24 PM. Enjoy. The. Hell. Out. Of. The. Practical. Grounding. Gifted. To. Us. Under. This. Sky. It is not going to last forever but it sure can be enjoyed today. Get your feet underneath you and don't forget to enjoy some of the tangible pleasures of life.
Today is wonderfully stable. You can do and accomplish just about anything you want...even if that anything is nothing.

Remember when the Moon was in trine to Jupiter and Venus under our Aries Moon on Thursday? That set of aspects helped us to feel better and encouraged us to relax and indulge a little. Well the same planets are back in play today but engaged by square with our Moon in Taurus. We could actually indulge a little too much and become selfish in those efforts in the process. Instead of gobbling up all the goodies for yourself, share the blessings all around. Instead of steering toward selfish overindulgence, steer yourself toward generosity and benevolence. Some folks will be right down full of themselves today. Others will be completely devoid of ambition and ready to settle into some serious rest and relaxation. I'll take door number 2 says the Libra. Yeah I could get on board with some R&R after this week runs its course. I encourage you to do the same and NOT feel guilty about it.

Though, you may feel a little guilty if you've shirked all your responsibilities as the Moon moves into opposition with Saturn in Scorpio at 5:52 AM. This looming heavy energy can be thwarted if you indulge AFTER you've accomplished what needed to be accomplished. Or, it can bring in depression that potentially expresses itself in the form of a bit of narcissism...not to mention emotional over-eating. Don't get too caught up in your own drama. Alright? Try not to take yourself too seriously. There really is nothing wrong with taking a day off. Yet, you don't want to completely shirk your responsibilities either. So, make sure those i's are dotted and t's are crossed and then relax without shaming yourself about it. We are not machines. We do more than work..or at least we should.

After the Moon's opposition with Saturn, she is Void until entering Gemini at 8:16 PM. The first aspect from our Gemini Moon is a square to Neptune occurring at about midday tomorrow. So, Sunday doesn't look overly productive either. Plan to wind down and allow the tides to rise. Foster a sense of gratitude about where you currently are even if that place is not the place you dreamed up to be yet. We all have work ahead of us. But, stopping and checking out the scenery while feeling blessed for how far down the path you've come already is just good practice. Allow that gratitude to trickle over into the lives of others. Share your blessings and be open to the sharing efforts of others. Remain grounded and practical while giving yourself permission to call a time out if you need one.
