This morning we wake up with the Moon
leaving a square with Jupiter/Juno (6:43 AM) and Venus (3:45 AM) in
Leo. For me this played out as a belly ache because I ate ice cream
last night and my body doesn't tolerate it well. The Leo Stellium
falls in my 6th (digestive system) and the ice cream was
pure self indulgence (Venus in Leo). I know better. But, I've no
regrets. Some folks may wake up to similar discomfort as this is the
cross that Venus square Moon bears. It can also produce a bit of
laziness, that doesn't sound too bad for a Sunday.
From here, the Moon waxes into trine
with Chiron (7:34 AM) and spends the rest of the day waxing into
conjunction with Saturn in Scorpio (9:52 PM). There is not much fun
and giggly about these aspects. The trine to Chiron is not forceful.
It is watery, and occurring under a waxing Saturn/Moon conjunction
that works to tighten and depress our current sky. This set up is
another call to self-care and respite. The trine from Chiron to Moon
has us licking our wounds while the Saturn conjunction solidifies our
resolve to survive and endure. Self-neglect or avoidance of emotional
issues could lead directly to depression causing things to feel worse
than they need to be. It's better to deal with what needs to be dealt
with the best way we can.
After the Moon meets Saturn by
conjunction, she is Void for an hour and a half until entering
Sagittarius at 11:23 PM. This lunar movement sets the sky up for an
entirely different ballgame on Monday though we do still have water
to contend with as that day moves forward.
Overnight, Venus perfects in trine to
Uranus (2:26 AM). Venus is certainly on fire. Uranus provides the
catalyst to move her forward toward being a more independent and
progressive entity.

We can begin to feel the inklings of
Venus and Uranus in trine as we wake up this morning. The Moon
doesn't enter this ring of fire until tomorrow afternoon. But, folks
will be feeling the call to boldly step out into the world sporting
whatever new look they've donned ready to kick this incoming week in
the teeth. Some may even receive Venus surprises, gifts, unexpected
money, messages of love. Other folks may shower themselves with these
blessings making impulse buys or indulging their wounded emotional
bodies in material pleasures. Retail therapy could be a thing.
Nothing wrong with that if you can afford it. But, at the same time,
don't forget to share if you can. Being in a position to share the
pleasures of Venus feels just as good, if not better, as receiving
them. She is all about that (sharing) too.
As the day moves forward, the Moon
perfects in square to Neptune (5:13 PM) while also waxing into opposition with Mercury (6:22 AM). This mutable t-square can be a mental
washout. We could hear some tear-filled confessions or meet up with
truth that causes an emotional reaction. Our best bet here is to
effectively triage the situation sorting information into category,
separating fact from fiction while prioritizing what needs to be
addressed first. Bring order to the confusion. Deal with the
emotional body's needs, first. Then, once that has settled down, work
to get the information straight and be very mindful of the details in
an effort to put the pieces of the puzzle together while being gentle
with yourself in the process. The mutable t-square makes the
situation messy. In times like that, our only hope is to pour our
efforts into cleaning things up creating order out of the chaos. I
see more wet weather overlaying the world today potentially causing
flooding in some areas...so future clean up efforts may be directed
there. But, as above, so below...some of this wet weather and
flooding could happen internally as well.
Mercury is officially out of his shadow
now. So, much of the information coming in is less of a review and
mostly brand new territory. However, Venus is lodged in her shadow so
matters she encounters now will likely come up again but mirrored in
a way. That's what Venus does. She puts the shoe on the other foot
for awhile so we can get a more clear perspective. She does rule the
mirror image of Libra, you know? Keep that in mind as she moves
forward into her shadow. We could very well, during Venus' wobbly
trek through Leo, move from aggrandized self-love to self loathing
and finally rest upon self-acceptance wrapped in a good bit of
humility. Think about what may happen to foster that kinda thing. We
build ourselves up only to trip over our egos and land on our rears.
Then, humility is forced upon us as we build ourselves back up a
little more gently and a little less self-righteously. Sounds fun,
right? Well, helps to remember that could happen today as Venus is
loaded for bear. What happens under this sky has the potential to be
flip-flopped and flung back at us. So, make sure you are putting out
there what you can handle having hurled back at you in matters of
love, relationships/partnerships and money.
Overall today calls for us to
consciously mix the elements of fire and water. It's much like the
Temperance card in that regard. Too much water and the entire mixture
is a wash. Too much fire and everything is burned to dust. We want to
work on meting out just enough of each in an effort to bring some
balance to the day. The Moon also lingers in sextile/trine to our
Nodal Axis for most of the day. So, draw from the seat of Aries and
reach for the throne of Libra as you navigate this day. Pulling
grounding and practicality from the fields of Virgo helps as well.

This morning, the fog from
yesterday dissipates rather quickly. The opposition from Moon to
Mercury in Gemini is still in force as we pull ourselves from our
beds (6:22 AM). There is still plenty to think about. However, the
Moon is also waxing into trine with Uranus in Aries (12:03 PM) and
Venus in Leo (1:48 PM). Aside from that, the Moon pulls in a trine
from Jupiter/Juno at 2:19 PM. We've certainly been thrust out of the
waters at this point and have landed directly on a sunny beach to dry
out. Leftover street puddles bubble into steam and evaporate.
Humidity could very well be a thing as it is prone to be during
Cancer season. Either way, things are all heated up...just in time
for the Moon to square off with Chiron in Pisces (2:21 PM) as Jupiter
finds the same by inconjunct (4:27 PM).
Ok. The ring of fire created
with the Moon, Uranus, Jupiter, Juno and Venus is busy and active.
Many could be running off on vacation or out and about on adventure
in some form or another. Cool. Have fun. But don't rush around so
quickly that you end up hurting yourself. I know the push to rush is
in place. Still, though, be consciously involved in what you are
doing without allowing the excitement to overtake you. Enjoy it! Take
a few risks if you feel lucky but don't set yourself up for failure
by being careless or overly self-confident. You know? It's an Evil
Knievel type of day that comes with the same potential risks for
injury that Evil Knievel faced. Push the limits. Be daring. But,
don't be stupid. There was a lot of preparation that went into
Knievel's stunts. It is not like he woke up one morning and just
decided to hurl his motorcycle across a ravine. Impulsiveness is
pumping through many veins right now. Steer that effectively by
pulling back and engaging your smart brain instead of letting the
energy burn you up. Make the adrenaline work for you by converting
the excitement to deliberately exerted fuel.
You know what, though? It
would be a great day for a parade. Either an officially arranged one
or an impromptu one. One in which everyone shows up with their
individual freak flag and steps out exactly as they are with no shame
attached. However, they may be echoes of oppression lingering within
their hearts...a reminder that this new found freedom needs to be
cherished because it wasn't too long ago that it didn't exist. That
mixture of joy and pain could be worth celebrating. Pride. Survival.
Endurance. Freedom. Love wins. This is the perfect day for love to
fill the streets in celebration. It is THE DAY of Venus, afterall.
So, get out there and get down with your bad self...just don't hurt
nobody.
After her trine with
Jupiter, the Moon is Void until entering Capricorn tomorrow at 5:12
AM.
Wednesday, July 1, 2015
Welcome to the first day of
July...a month that holds a Full Moon on the first day AND a Full
Moon on the last day. Talk about capstones on the calendar. The month
is framed with heightened emotionality. Oh, well, it IS Cancer
season...a time in which the movements of Luna pack a punch. So,
yeah, makes sense.
This morning we wake up to
the Moon entering Capricorn. Prior to this, Venus officially met
Jupiter by conjunction (3:52 AM) and Juno left the two to enter
Virgo. Hearts are still blooming within this waning fire trine. We
feel alive. But, yet, there is a sense of responsibility that waxes
into the equation under our Capricorn Moon. There is still work to be
done.
At 1:34 PM, the Moon waxes
into an ambiguous opposition with Mars in Cancer. Isn't that
interesting? Our most masculine oriented body (Mars) is placed in our
most feminine territory (Cancer) while our most feminine body (Moon)
is placed in one of our most masculine signs (Capricorn). That's
enough to make any homophobe shake in their boots. LOL...aw, that's
too bad. But, seriously, it could very well be a thing. Let's take a
moment and look back on our week. Change, freedom of love and the
ability to be exactly who you are had the potential to dance in the
streets. Power was leveled out due this and that is scary as shit to
those who once held the chains of oppression. Now those chains have
been ripped away and there could be some panic that comes about due
that fact. What happens in that instance is those that are losing
power anxiously start grasping for straws in desperation. We will see
this for awhile until the dust settles and the realization of “this
change is the new normal, so, get over it” waxes in. The
legalization of same sex marriage across the nation personifies this
change and brings punctuation to it. However, we see much of the same
reaction to other changes in our world...like the blending of gender
roles and the intolerance of race discrimination while the ability to
be discriminatory in regard to these two entities ALSO washes away.
Some find this change a welcome and long awaited thing. Others,
however, find it terrifying and we will see some reactions in that
regard as time moves forward. Some of those reactions could rear
their ugly heads under this Full Moon. Emotions are heightened and
that can sometimes cause overreaction in some form or another for
better or worse.
What we are being called to
do here is master and meet this incoming change with the personal
authority we've recently been imbibed with through the
Venus/Jupiter/Uranus trine. Stand bravely in the face of oppression
that is clawing for the remnants of power and realize the lashing out
is merely an act of desperation...bargaining til the death. In that
brave stance, however, we are also called to circle the wagons and
protect the element of Cancer...home, our emotional body, the soft
underbelly. Walls come up in defense against the final flailings of a
world ruled by greed and power lust. Oh. We've got longer to go than
today to topple that hierarchy. But, at this point, that entity knows
it is on the way out and could violently react to such. Protect
yourself through that process.
As the Moon opposes Mars,
she also creates a Cardinal Cross with our Nodal Axis which holds in
orb all the way through our Full Moon which occurs only 4 degrees
away. This pressure? It changes our future. How it plays out on a
personal level has 100% to do with how willing we are to stretch to
meet that call. Meeting the demands of the North Node is not a
comfortable thing whether we are talking about the transiting North
Node or the one we were born under. We have to reach for it while
being thrust out of our comfort zones.
Meanwhile, there is a type
of softening occurring...which is actually a GOOD thing. The Sun is
waxing into trine with Neptune which perfects at 5:10 PM. The Moon
joins this configuration through sextile at 10:00 PM just prior to
the Full Moon perfecting. In that, there is a HUGE call to blur the
lines on who we are and accept the fact that even with all our
differences we are still of the same making. We still all share this
planet. We still all have to figure out how to live here with one
another and all our differences while also making effort to protect
and ensure the viability of the planet for those that will follow in
our newly laid footsteps. There is room for forgiveness, acceptance,
and surrendering to the flow of circumstance that brings this
evolving change into our awareness. The stoic and staunch could melt
here or end up drowning themselves in their wallowing sorrow while
others could simply melt into the release of emotionality as all this
change becomes finally felt as really real. It's a process. We are
certainly engaged in it. And, all the emotions connected with that
comes out under this Moon for us to deal with.
This energy continues
overnight and into our tomorrow but it does change a bit. The Moon
moves from Full perfection while waxing into a conjunction with
Pluto that perfects early on Thursday (5:57 AM). But, the pressure
from this conjunction is felt under the Full Moon itself giving us a
chance to really assess what is catalyzing our strong reactions below
the surface of our psyche. There is potential for intimacy to be
fostered or to grow but there is also the potential for demons to
emerge depending upon how we are addressing this. Pluto has a
tendency to operate that way. Some will make a deal with the Devil
out of desperation under all this flux. Don't fall for it, Sweet Pea.
The Devil often requires repayment that we cannot afford. You are
much better off accepting the change and figuring out how to survive
and endure it rather than bargaining for the old way of life to
sustain. Yet, bargaining will occur as that is a documented stage of
grief which is a process that goes hand in hand with any type of
change. Don't look at which door is closing. Let it slam
shut...because as it does, new doors of opportunity will swing open.
These new doors could hold opportunities that we never even thought
to think of under the old way of doing things. The inspiration for
such is on it's way in, too, under tomorrow's sky.

This morning, we wake up
under the dissipating heaviness of the Moon leaving a conjunction
with Pluto (5:57 AM). However, this day of Jupiter and Thor, actually
falls more under the power of the Lightening God...just in time for
the Moon's grand entrance into Aquarius.
At 2:50 PM, it is our winged
messenger Mercury who zips into Uranus' orb sextile. Brains are
firing on all cylinders now and inspiration comes quick like lighting
through the mist. Time speeds up. Tongues and minds are sharp and
without filter. And, as this occurs, we begin to feel the effects of
the same enter into our emotional bodies.
The Moon squares off with
Uranus at 3:59 PM. This can cause nervousness and anxiety to bubble
up. So as your mind is racing, ensure that you are addressing the
potential shakiness that could accompany that. Reach for grounding
and patience. Drink more water instead of making things worse with
artificial stimulants. Don't be impulsive. Wrangle that impulsiveness
into brilliance. Don't allow anxiety to overtake you, head it off at
the pass. Meanwhile, the Moon also creates a Yod with Mercury and
Jupiter forming the base. We are called to commandeer some of these
wild and expansive plans for the future. Take the bull by the horns.
Greet this wildly expanding world by carving out your role in it
while expecting that role to be a bit different than it was in the
old way of doing things. It's exciting. But, aim to make that
excitement work for you in the long run instead of against you.
Experiment with the mixture if you need to never discounting a
possibility until it has truly been proven non-viable. And, if it
does, then move on to trying something else without giving up. Adjust
your direction and method but don't stop in your tracks if your first
attempt falls flat. This may, indeed, take awhile. I mean, we didn't
get here overnight. We aren't going to walk out of it overnight
either. There are a lot of things that will emerge from this wave of
change that has enveloped the world that we didn't expect.
We have the power to stand
strongly steady through this due the waxing sextile from the Moon to
Saturn which perfects early in the morning and, subsequently, pushes
the Moon into Void status for a few hours before entering Aquarius at
8:22 AM. Make Saturn your best friend and you'll traverse this influx
of lightening just fine.

Sometimes,
I find living in the “Home of the Brave and the Land of the Free”
confusing. I'm fairly certain that fact has something to do with my
generational Neptune in Sagittarius placement. You see, growing up, I
heard stories about how some of my ancestors fled oppression from
their home countries to build a new type of freedom in this country.
Wrapped up in that story was tales of the folks that already lived on
this land. A lot of those tales were...well, lies. In a large way,
some folks apparently “fled oppression” just to exert it over
someone else.
At
the same time, I was given stories about how this country was a
melting pot, “Send me your tired, your weak..” That was what the
gift of the Statue of Liberty said, right? It kinda sends out this
beacon that says, “If you can't find freedom and acceptance of who
you are where you were born, come here! We'll accept you.” But,
when I grew up and stepped out into this world as an adult, I found
that it wasn't exactly set up like I had been told it was. As that
veil fell, I was ridiculously disappointed. The veil dropping didn't
stop there either. I discovered that not all folks who went into
certain careers or held certain public offices were always out for
the betterment of the country itself. On top of that, I discovered
that the seemingly straight laced goody two shoe “greatest
generation that lived” wasn't exactly as flowery and perfect as the
image had been blurred to be. There was some dastardly shit that went
down in that glorified past. You know? I thought politicians were out
with the agenda to lead us and help build a stronger more supportive
place for everybody. I thought their goal was to give us a strong
voice of true representation. Wrong. There are plenty of sideways
folks in politics and elsewhere in positions of power. I also thought
all those who entered fields like healthcare, public safety and the
like were all superheroes hell bent on serving the public's needs
also in an effort to support our country. Um...not so much. There are
SOME! I promise you! I've met them! And, MAN are THEY ever fighting
an uphill battle. But, these folks are the minority out there right
now.
I
don't know how much I can believe in regard to what I've been taught
about our forefathers. Honestly, I don't know how much I can believe
about what I was told during the duration of my upbringing. I think a
lot of that was prettied up perhaps in an effort to make nice
coloring books or something, I don't know. But, it was largely fairy
tale...that ended up in a crushed form of idealism. At any rate,
these thoughts come back to me every Independence Day. I think about
the holiday and what it is supposed to represent and mean. And, then,
I subsequently ponder all the ways we've managed to collectively miss
that mark as a society while still managing to achieve the status of
First World Super Power. Can it be time to take strides toward living
up to that name any time soon now? Please? Can we just be honest with
ourselves and move forward toward a better way in light of that? Any
minute now...
and Love always wins in the end. If Love hasn't yet won, it's because it ain't over |
This
morning we wake up to a Void Moon in Capricorn until she enters
Aquarius at 8:22 AM. Aquarian energy is emotionally independent but
it is also socially conscientious. How it uses that social awareness
is up to the individual. You could use it to foster group think and
lead a hoard of minions to their death in a suicide pact. You know?
Or, you could use that social awareness to gather folks with a common
goal and give them a positive group agenda. Energy has polarity, in
case I've not driven that fact home yet. The call here is to gather
your “people” around you. Your social family. Your friends. Your
supportive networks. Those who share your agenda for various reason.
It calls for collaboration and teamwork toward a common goal. It
calls for support of individual expression while learning to work
together in light of our differences. You can be you...the one and
only 100% unique you. Then, you can use the power of “you” to
enhance and work within a group that may not be exactly like you but
shares a similar set of values while accepting you as you are and
recognizing the unique elements you bring to the mix.
As
this group gathers, the mass in the space continues to grow as they
stare into the wide expanse of the road ahead. Mercury in Gemini
meets Jupiter in Leo by sextile at 8:54 PM. The gathering could bring
celebration and wild pontifications of plans for the future. Which,
indeed, sounds really nice. The mood is mostly light and social.
There is a whole lot of conversation happening and ideas are being
exchanged at rapid pace. Time is flying. Which means we must be
having a good time, right? The potential is certainly there. There is
the matter of Jupiter still being inconjunct to Chiron and Mercury
subsequently squaring this primordial pain. So, there may be some
plans put in place by these gatherings of people that aims to address
some of the emotional fall out created by this change. It can be just
as a scary to free fall is it is to cower under staunch oppression.
We go from being wrapped tightly to have a wide range of movement and
that space can feel a bit daunting to some. Not to me...lol..but to
some, it's a thing. We are in Cancer season, after all. We are prone
to like our little secure and closed in spaces but in this instance
we are thrust outward from our shells and could feel a bit exposed
due that. Could be a bit uncomfortable, but it's time we got
comfortable in our own skin and ditched the shame associated with
nakedness anyway. Might as well start today. Let's go streaking. Ok,
you go streaking and I'll sit back and cheer you on. How's that?
Saturday, July 4, 2015
“Let freedom ring. Let the
White Dove sing. Let the whole world know that today is a day of
reckoning. Let the weak be strong. Let the right be wrong.”
This morning we wake up to
the Moon in Aquarius who spends most of the day waxing into sextile
with Uranus in Aries. Independence Day, indeed. We are ready to truly
ring the bells of freedom and exalt ourselves out of the face of
oppression. It's a beautiful day for that regardless of whether you
join in traditional Independence Day celebrations or not. As a matter
of fact, traditional may not fit the bill today. It might be time to
think about new traditions and does it matter? We are having a party
over here! It's time to lay down our differences and come together.
Emotional intensity built
and crested mid-week. We've had plenty of time to gather our senses
about that and regain a bit of stability. Today, let the remaining
energy explode outward in celebration however that appeals to you.
The day, overall, feels really good and that “feel good” is
capped off by a Lunar opposition to Jupiter at 9:38 PM. You can be
optimistic. You can now see that you can survive tremendous change.
You know exactly where your support is the strongest so gather that
around you and enjoy the hell out of it. I'm giving you permission
just in case you feel like you need it. In reality, you don't need my
nor anyone else's permission but there are some who are a bit more
timid about giving themselves personal authority...so, here you go.
Take it. Own it. Display it with gentle, humble pride in yourself
while leaving others room to express the same. Embrace this energy
with open arms. Ooooopen. Come on. You can do it. Group hug!
