Morning Star: Daily Astrology for Thursday, May 7, 2015

This morning we wake up to the Moon still lingering in Sagittarius. Most of the morning is without severe influence. The final aspect of our Sagittarius Moon is an opposition to Venus at 1:52 PM. What we want and what we need are at odds. However, both of these entities are set to change. They aren't exactly going to come together right now...but, need and want do shift gears together.

After this opposition perfects, the Moon in Sagittarius is Void for a brief 20 minutes or so until she enters Capricorn at 2:17 PM. Venus' shift comes at 6:52 PM as she moves into Cancer.

I enjoy the energy from Venus in Cancer. However, we must not forget that from the sign of Cancer, Venus will, again, butt heads with both Uranus and Pluto. There's a bit of flux wrapped up in this transit that goes right for our relationships and our pocketbooks...not to mention our comfort zones. Venus does have a while before she meets that pressure though. She will meet Neptune by softening and heart bleeding trine before any of the harsh Cardinal action occurs.

Right now, Venus is the front runner in our sky. She is the out in front of the rest of our personal planets leading the way for what is to come for them, eventually, too. Isn't that funny? Typically when I think of pioneering or leading the way, I think of Mars. But, right now, our hearts are leading the way. Today is a good day to check in with yours and assess what it is you truly want.
Venus in Cancer is also an energy that melds well with the energy that we have in Taurus. Venus, here, can work magic in the realm of cooking and creating comfortable nesting spaces. Energy in Taurus likes to eat and enjoys relaxing into the finer things in life. So, even if our wants and needs are at odds today, our solar bodies could be rolling in delight due Venus' entrance into a new sign.

Today, we may need to work and make tangible progress as the Moon moves from wandering Sagittarius to industrious Capricorn. But, also, we can day dream a bit and contemplate how we will spend some of our well-earned dollars on things that will make our nests more comfortable. Then, tonight, when the work day is done, we may just be inclined to treat ourselves and those that share our nests. We may even foster a bit of appreciation for the fact that we have a nest to come home to, to begin with. Or, we could just have pie. Strawberry sounds nice :)
