Morning Star: Daily Astrology for Wednesday April 1 2015

Ugh. Guilt and remorse. I know thee all too well. This morning we wake up to the Moon in Virgo veiled by Neptune in Pisces. Make amends where you can. Apologize sincerely if you need to. Forgive if at all possible. The opposition occurs at 7:32 AM. It's watery, groggy, foggy, emotionally hung over and, yes, tears are likely. So is rain. So pack your umbrella and keep your rain boots handy.

The screws continue to tighten as our Full Moon waxes in. Emotionally, we may certainly find ourselves on edge. Don't try to hold back the tears if they come. Let them flow. Get that dirty water out of you. Default to practicality and continue triage of circumstance as it presents itself. Medicine woman, heal thyself.

The day is packed with a slew of minor aspects across the sky. Subtlety is creeping in and we are likely to feel every prick of it. The Moon meets the Sun by inconjunct at 2 PM (geez, what did I do), Mars by sesquisquare (I've got to do something about this) at 10:53 PM and Uranus by inconjunct (right the Hell now!) at 11:10 PM. It is all very personal and situation specific. So we get a gut check of where we are, what we are doing and why. Meanwhile, Mercury and Venus meet by semi-sextile (we need a new plan) at 7:53 PM just prior to Venus meeting Chiron by sextile at 10:50 PM (one that soothes our inner ouchies instead of making them worse and one that adheres to a solid sense of personal values). In other words, we are called to heed what is truly important to us on an individual level here. Continue to cut the extemporaneous crap out of the equation. Pinpoint what it is you REALLY want under the surface of circumstance.

Thankfully the emotional body is racked with fortitude and endurance through an active trine between the Moon and Pluto in Capricorn (9:43 PM) as we enter our late evening hours. It may not be pleasant, but we can handle it if we only try.

Overall, folks will be wrapped up in their own stuff today. The stories and situations will vary from person to person. In that, it's impossible for me to tell you the right thing to do. Saturn is rx. You are going to have to examine your personal situation for yourself and decide to act (or not) according to your own barometer of self-discipline. I can tell you that denial of reality and dismissal of your accountability in it is surely not the right tact. I can also tell you that you cannot save folks from drowning if you are drowning yourself. So, save yourself first while refraining from pushing others under at the same time. It's not ok to attempt to drag someone underwater with you. Like I said, “Heal thyself.”
You could certainly catch folks unaware today if you plan to pull off pranks. But, chances are, no one is going to think any of that is very funny. So, I'd let those opportunities pass by since many are in situations that are not a bit entertaining or enjoyable. This sky does not suffer fools lightly so don't volunteer to be one even if it is April Fool's Day. Ix-nay the upid-stay. No one is going to be in the mood.

Shew. Thank goodness tomorrow is more stable. After the Moon opposes Chiron at 4:30 AM tomorrow, we are gifted with a solid trine between the Moon and Venus, while Mercury gets well grounded through a trine from Saturn and the Sun receives support from a trine to Jupiter. Hang in there. I know things may seem dire and dark at the moment. But, this is temporary. We get a break from emotionality in our tomorrow too as the Moon is void for nearly 24 hours following the trine with Venus in the morning (5:02 AM). Have faith that you will end up exactly where you need to be even if you can't see how that fits in the current moment. In retrospect, you will.

Morning Star: Daily Astrology for Tuesday, March 31, 2015

This morning we wake up to a Void Moon in Leo. The Moon remains Void until entering Virgo at 2:14 PM. This morning we may not feel “engaged” in the circumstances of the day. We may operate mechanically as if we were on autopilot. However, the opportunity to engage arrives immediately after the Moon enters Virgo and waxes into trine with Mars newly in Taurus (2:21 PM).

Man. You talk about no-nonsense. This is a very “matter of fact” aspect. I freaking love Earth trines. Solid. Grounded. Fortifying. “It is what it is. So do what you got to do.” It's that simple. There is traction to be had in our evening hours.

From here, the Moon begins waxing into a heavy anchoring and sobering square with Saturn Rx in Sagittarius. We may berate ourselves with “shoulda, coulda, woulda” stuff. If you held yourself accountable under yesterday's sky, the potential for regret and remorse decreases a bit. Again, do what you can live with. Either way, the reality of the situation rears its ugly head and we are forced to face it under the square from the Moon to Saturn.

Practicality is accessible. So is the ability to triage the situation and do what needs to be done to “fix it” if it is indeed “fixable.” There is a need to be of service to others under this Moon. Don't get so wrapped up in your own drama that you cannot afford to help others. We are accountable not only for our own future, but also the future of the collective. That responsibility falls directly on our shoulders tonight. Be easy with yourself. It's not your responsibility to swoop in like a superhero and save the entire world all by yourself. All that is being asked is that you do your part. Only you know if you are truly doing the best that you can. If you feel that you are, cut yourself some slack. If you fall short of that, then vow to do better from here. You cannot go back and change what has already occurred. The only path open at this point is the one forward. Retrospect and hindsight are to learn from not weaponry to beat yourself up with.

Besides, the story ain't over yet, folks. The Moon is growing and becoming so engorged with energy that she looks as if she may burst open at any moment. The Full Moon eclipse is coming and bringing the unexpected with her. In that, the Earth will pass directly through the oppositional line between the Sun and the Moon casting a darkening shadow across the Moon while blocking the Sun's rays from reaching her temporarily. This is pure emotion. Again, we are left without the ego's protective shell and brought into the reality of the situation. Consequence is felt acutely. It's really real. There are ties that risk permanent severance under this incoming eclipse.

The ability to accept reality is of paramount importance today. So cut the BS out of the equation and do what you've got to do. Don't half ass it either. Put your best efforts forward so that when the Moon meets Saturn you can rest a bit easier knowing you gave it your all regardless of what is due to occur next.

Morning Star: Daily Astrology for Monday, March 30, 2015

This morning we wake up to the Moon in Leo leaving a conjunction with Jupiter (3:16 AM). Venus is hovering in trine to Pluto (3:44 AM) as the Moon works its way toward contact with both. The square from Moon to Venus occurs at 9:20 AM; the inconjunct from Moon to Pluto perfects at 8:47 AM. The Moon also crosses Chiron in Pisces by inconjunct at 3:12 PM. Between the sideways aspects to Pluto and Chiron, the Moon rides at the top of a flickering Yod providing the emotional body with a subtle check in with personal power balanced against our ability to be compassionate. Or, you know, we could also react like wounded animals here. The choice is up to the individual.

As the Yod is active, the Moon also trines Uranus in Aries (9:58 AM). This can throw a monkey wrench in our “Give a damn.” The energy packs a flare for independence and possible impulsiveness. We may react quickly to cut away circumstances that we have “HAD ENOUGH” of. The highest expression here, though, raises our emotional intelligence to genius level. Yep. You may want to take heads and your “give a damn” in regard to the consequences may be broken, but be wary of the Finger of God pointing at our Moon. Do what is best for everyone including yourself. Refrain from taking selfish and impulsive action that you cannot undo.

The trine to Uranus can also be wonderfully uplifting. We dump our cares at the side of the road and take off on a new adventure carrying less baggage. It can be exciting, freeing and motivating.

Throughout the entire day, Mercury lingers on our most recent ecliptic point. Information in regard to the New Moon Eclipse in Pisces continually flows into the atmosphere. Mercury is birthed into Aries at 9:44 PM. All those instances where we didn't know what to say or think? Well, it's about to become crystal clear and our mouths and minds ignite as a result. Get ready for time to start zipping right on by again. The drag of Neptune is done.

Mars lingers at the end of Aries all day. He stomps his foot in Taurus tomorrow. The shifting of Mercury into Aries and Mars into Taurus all occurs as the Moon is Void after the trine with Uranus. We are not likely to notice this shift until the Moon wakes up in Virgo at 2:14 PM tomorrow. During that time, players and circumstances are shuffled. This equates to a Void Moon for over 24 hours. Waters certainly dry up as minds and motivation shifts. Not to worry, though. Emotionality will creep back in under the Virgo Moon who waxes into opposition with Neptune in Pisces on the morning of April Fool's Day following a square to Saturn tomorrow night. We may not give a damn today but we might in the days to follow. Remember, you are the one that has to sleep with the consequences of your actions. Use today to get centered. We are moving forward. Just make sure you don't pre-empt the situation and hurl yourself down a path that, in the long run, you really don't want to be on.

Overall, I don't see this day as harsh. It is active and energizing. The Yod is prickly and the trine to Uranus can be catalytic. But, as long as we continually aim our efforts toward doing things that support the person we want to become while being responsible for the impact of our actions upon others, we really cannot go wrong. There is conflict between want and need today. So you will want to meet that challenge by satisfying a bit of both masters (Taurus/Leo) while realizing...well...I'll let Mick tell you.

Morning Star: Daily Astrology for Sunday, March 29, 2015

Today is Sunday and it is a true day of the Sun. The Moon entered Sun ruled Leo overnight. As we wake up, she is waxing into solid trine with Saturn Rx in Sagittarius. This is grounded and productive fire. Traction under our assertions. It is responsible, future minded and self-regulated. We are called to express ourselves maturely and from a solid center of self-knowledge.

The circle of fire continues throughout the day with the Moon also continually waxing into trine with the Sun in Aries (7:42 PM) and into conjunction with Jupiter late tonight (3:16 AM). This is not a reckless day. This is not an overly emotional day. This is a day for physical movement and progress forward. In that, we should not forget the knowledge we garnered from yesterday's flow. Instead, we incorporate and internalize that knowledge and use it to guide us forward while employing this fiery energy as fuel.

The fiery energy brought by the skies today is smooth. The call is stronger to play than to go to war or destroy. And, yes, sporting events and athletic activities fit nicely here. The emotional veil of the last few days has been lifted. The atmosphere is lighter and warmer inviting us to come outside. Explore. Experience. Do. Feel alive. Be energized by the Sun's ray and, in turn, shine your own light back onto the world. Indulge in the tender early bounty of Spring as Venus and Pluto work together to bring the Earth back to life. Allow yourself to be uplifted by the hope and promise found in that. Allow yourself to be marveled like a child watching a magic show as you realize this re-awakening occurs all on its own without the forceful efforts of man. At the same time, be humbled by the fact that there must be some force stronger than man that can produce these results in such a seemingly effortless way. Reach for humility, wonder and play. Dance uninhibited with the pixies of Spring. Let the Sun warm your skin and allow the fresh air to fill your lungs. Re-awaken. Rejoice. Re-discover and entertain your inner child under the umbrella of protection provided by your wise adult eyes. Go on. Get out there. Wake up with the Earth. It's time.

Morning Star: Daily Astrology for Saturday, March 28, 2015

This morning we wake up to the Moon in Cancer. Venus still lingers in square to Jupiter after completing the aspect last night. The early part of the day is riddled with minor Moon aspects to both Saturn and Neptune. But, the Moon spends the meat of the day waxing into trine with Mercury in Pisces.

Moon in Cancer trine Mercury in Pisces has got to be one of the MOST intuitive astrological setups. Information is flowing through our bodies just like blood courses through our veins. It may not be written. It may not be spoken. But, it is known. Do you know the difference between knowing and KNOWING? I can present you with logical facts and evidence to support an argument. By looking over those facts and evidence you may learn what has occurred and, subsequently, draw a conclusion. But, the type of knowing that is fostered through our water signs needs no documented evidence or substantial fact. Sometimes all it needs is a certain look, a shift in the air or merely a bird passing overhead. This type of communication supports what we see without our eyes, what we hear without our ears, what we say without our mouths and what we feel within our skin instead of without. Knowing can be a logical conclusion based on fact. However, it can also be visceral and without logic. That is the difference between knowing and knowing.

What that means is today we should rely less on what we see and hear and lean more on how we feel in an effort to discover the truth. Find the flow and follow it. Tapping into flow can come through various means. Meditation. Music. Prayer. Come into your body and shut off your mind. Be silent and still. In those quietest and most still moments, when a pin dropping would sound like an atomic bomb, what do you feel?

The silence is broken while ambiguity and adrenaline enter the atmosphere as the Moon finds Mars by square later tonight (9:59 PM). Now that we have this knowing, what actions should we take in light of it? How can we go to war when we have to feed the children? How can we be angry when earlier we were so settled? How can we deal with this ambition now that we know? Can we leave this place of calm that we found through meditation and re-enter a Mars oriented world? Yes. Yes we can.

The Charioteer is victorious not through direct force but through conscious steerage of will. She guides her horses who are natural enemies and using their ambitious (and potentially violent) force toward her goals. She steers Mars. He does not steer her.
We must pack our knowing with us and remember what it is we felt. Then, we must change the way we engage in ambition in light of it. Mars can be the destroyer and war lord. But, at his highest, he is the fuel, the motivator, the engine that drives us. Moon in Cancer is the nurturing mother, the supplier of comfort and food. She wants nothing to do with blood thirsty war. However, in defense of her children she certainly has the power to devour her enemy. She will also hunt and kill to feed her family. But, she stops to give gratitude to whatever living entity has given up its life force so that her children may live. We all are given life through a body that eventually will feed the Earth back. Therefore, the Earth feeds us while we live out our soul's purpose. Moon in Cancer realizes this cycle and honors the nurturing and life providing energy that comes from Mother Earth. It is possible to get these two energies (Mother/Warrior) that meet via tense aspect to work together. Otherwise, how would the Emperor (the epitome of fiery Aries energy) and Empress (she who gives birth and cares for all life) co-rule over many kingdoms successfully?

Be the compassionate warrior. Defend your inner peace as it is your sanctuary of true safety. Build a fort around the home front for protection. Shelter the children from an angry and violent world. Make your anger serve you instead of allowing it to make you its slave. Disallow instigation and provocation from the outside world. Let those arrows bounce off your fortress as you laugh at the vain efforts to get you to dispel your precious energy. Then, use that slow boil to cook your dinner as the rest of the world burns outside your castle if that's what it wants to do.

After the square with Mars, the Moon is Void until entering Leo at 1:49 AM. Tomorrow is fiery and active. Venus moves away from Jupiter and toward Pluto promising to endow us with richness and depth. The atmosphere warms in response and brings us precious sweet blossoms like blessings from the Earth herself. In that, today we are called to center and find true direction through inner knowing. Tomorrow, we pack that knowing with us as we re-open our fortress windows and allow the sunlight to fall inside. We are beckoned to be. To live. To act. To do. To engage. And, we can; because, now we know.

Morning Star: Daily Astrology for Friday, March 27, 2015

This morning we wake up to the pressure of the First Quarter Moon veiled by a trine from the Moon in Cancer to Neptune in Pisces. We wake up slowly but with an inward sense of challenge being brought forth from this day. If you have that inkling this morning, heed it. There is incoming pressure so we may need to tread a bit carefully.

Here's the thing. It's Friday. And, at about 3:30 PM the Moon dances with Venus in Taurus enticing us to completely indulge in the fact the promise of the weekend is lingering nearby. We may not be very work inclined. Plus, Venus in Taurus is also waxing into trine with Jupiter in Leo. That aspect perfects at 10:11 PM saying our demands for self-indulgence and relaxation may win out in the end. But, between the Moon's sextile with Venus and Venus' perfection in square to Jupiter, the Moon goes head to head with Pluto (9:15 PM) and squares off with Uranus (10:10 PM). Heed the call to indulge but don't get greedy and stupid (impulsive) with it.

We get a taste of the weekend like an enticement through the Moon's sextile with Venus only to immediately run into pressure to perform from Uranus and Pluto. Whether this pressure is exerted from an external force (our boss or that overly ambitious tech guy who is bound and determined to run computer upgrades before the weekend gets here) or is internally fostered, it's uncomfortable and goes against the grain of what it is we feel like we truly need to do and what we want to do...which is call a halt to this work week and indulge in the finer more pleasurable parts of life.

Eh, c'est la vie, you know. Take care of business, begrudgingly, if you have to. Pat yourself on the back for anything you have completed early in preparation and leave room to indulge in the fruits of your labor under the realization that Rome was not built in a single day. Chances are if stuff crossed your desk late in the day it was only because someone else was pushing it off theirs so they could jump into their weekend too. If it lays there until Monday no one is going to die. Promise. Self-denial is only going to make you bitter. So quit fighting yourself and indulge a bit.

Morning Star: Daily Astrology for Thursday, March 26, 2015

This morning we wake up to a motivating sextile between the Moon in Gemini and Mars in Aries. From here, the Moon is Void before sliding into her home base of Cancer at 3:46 PM. While today is not earmarked for starting anything new, it is set up to allow us time to make progress on whatever it is we may have already started. We may feel motivated toward this as the day begins. But, this motivation may wane as the day moves forward and we become less and less emotionally engaged in the work we have before us. At this point, we are just toiling.

By the time the Moon enters Cancer this afternoon, we may be ready to just go home. We could be yearning for those familiar comforts. That yearning could cause us to put our ambitions on the back burner for awhile. If you've managed to get ahead of your deadlines, then you can afford cashing your chips in early today. Otherwise, you may have to delay your call toward comfortable retreat and finish your chores up first. Either way, tension between “Get out there and just do it” and “I just want to stay home” is growing as the First Quarter Moon waxes in overnight pitting our Cancer Moon against our Aries Sun. Warriors have to eat too, man. So, if you can, call the war off early today and go home to refuel. If you can't, hang in there and promise yourself some creature comforts at the end of your work day as a reward for your efforts.

Morning Star: Daily Astrology for Wednesday, March 25, 2015

This morning we wake up to an uplifting sextile from the Moon in Gemini to Jupiter in Leo at 8:18 AM. The sun is shining brightly through our windows at daybreak beckoning us to spring from our beds and begin another a day. Beneath the surface, however, we receiving a gut check in regard to how we handle our own sense of power through a Yod created with Pluto in Capricorn (12:50 PM). The sextile between the Moon and Jupiter prompts us to discover a healthy level of self-confidence while the inconjunct to Pluto from both tests our ability to apply that self-confidence toward ambitions that feed into a better world instead of striving to be part of the problem.

In our early afternoon (1:30 PM), the Gemini Moon finds Uranus by sextile which catalyzes us to engage in this day even more. No slog to be found. We are confident and moving freely toward whatever it was we want to accomplish. That ambitious energy is supported by traction as the Moon also meets Saturn in Sagittarius by trine at 3:25 PM.

In the later hours of the day we do meet with some friction as the Moon squares Chiron (6:12 PM) and Mercury in Pisces (11:06 PM). Even if we've made tremendous strides toward progress under the early aspects of the day, by nightfall, we may be feeling that something is off or simply that there are not enough hours in the day to accomplish what we need to. Our brains could be wrapped around confusing details or we could feel that we are missing a piece of information.

We could feel tension beginning to build today as we approach our First Quarter Moon. This occurs on the morning of the 27th and is one stepping stone toward the intensity brought by our incoming Full Moon Eclipse in Libra. The First Quarter marks the halfway point between eclipses and therefore is apt to be quite transitional. Much of the tension brought by the First Quarter is emotional. So, in preparation for that washout, use today to continue making headway toward your goals. Tomorrow is excellent for continuing those efforts while capturing a bit of an emotional break under a short VOC Moon. If you can, make an effort to work a little ahead of yourself in case you need to take a break under the emotionality than can be fostered by the First Quarter. If you do get swamped, you'll be glad to be positioned in a way that you can deal with that swampiness without the added pressure of also trying to meet your working goals. If you don't get swamped, well, you are still ahead of yourself and how can that be too bad? Being prepared is never a bad idea.

Morning Star: Daily Astrology for Tuesday, March 24, 2015

This morning, there is a thin pleasant veil overhanging daybreak. It may be hard to get out of bed because bed, itself, feels so wonderful and sleep was like a luxurious gift. Lazing in bed a little bit longer than usual is enticing as Venus in Taurus officially found Neptune by sextile overnight (2:26 AM).

The Moon is Void this morning until entering Gemini at 9:23 AM. The day does slowly begin to roll around midday as the Moon receives motivation from a supportive sextile to the Sun in Aries at 4:10 PM. However, there is some energy that we will bump heads with as the day moves forward that has the potential to slow us down a bit.

The Gemini Moon meets Saturn by opposition around 6 PM and Neptune by square at 11:58 PM. With Saturn now in retrograde, he is separated from Neptune by 4 degrees. However, the Moon's passage between 4 and 8 degrees mutable re-links the square that almost was before Saturn turned retrograde in the first place. So far, what I've seen in previewing Saturn/Neptune energy at the beginning of the year is people getting knocked around for not taking charge of their addictions (I've seen quite a few DUI arrests for example), strained backs, water leaks, brake issues on vehicles, liars continually being exposed and even a few cases of vertigo.

The Gemini Moon throws our emotional body into this waning square creating a loose mutable t-square. With Gemini's ruler in Pisces and just leaving a conjunction with Chiron (9:07 AM) this can make for some shaky emotional ground in which logic holds no bearing. Emotions cannot be sorted through logically or put into words under this sky and that can be frustrating, not to mention perplexing, to an Air Moon.

We didn't want to get out of bed and engage in this day to begin with. But, we did and made some progress right off the gate. But, then, we got smacked around by Saturn and washed up by Neptune and begin wondering why we didn't heed our initial call to just stay in bed this morning.

You could very well feel as if you are lacking in support under this sky (see the brake and back examples above). It may present as allergies or illness. We could experience emotional leakage which points us directly toward places in our psyche that need to be addressed and cared for (see the water leak example). Vertigo can be induced from medications we are taking to address our illnesses or simply from a congested head or swirling and confusing information.

<twitter 4>

Virgo energy holds the answer to balancing out this mutable square. If something is broken, fix it. If someone is sick (including you) work to nurse them back to health. If things are confusing, sit down and sort out the facts and reach for grounding and practicality. Give the situation whatever it needs in an effort to help even if helping is as simple as taking a nap or retreating to your bed early tonight.

Tomorrow we are on more solid ground and begin to feel a bit better as we greet the day with a drying up sextile between the Moon and Jupiter. The day continually becomes more solid and we become continually more mobile as it moves forward. Keep that in mind if things become bogged down and swampy today.

Morning Star: Daily Astrology for Monday, March 23, 2015

Ahh, Universe. What kind of Monday do you have on tap for us this week? This morning we wake up the Moon still solidly rooted in Taurus. Hopefully everyone took some time to relax and indulge yesterday. If you did, you may find that you are well situated to handle this incoming week. The key here is not to become too selfish with indulgences. The Moon did square off with Jupiter in Leo overnight (4:16 AM) and that can foster a sense of needing to grab up all the toys for yourself. But, the best bet, here, is to share any blessings you find with others instead of hoarding them all up.

Early this morning (8:17 AM) the Moon is in a fortifying trine with Pluto in Capricorn. There is a feeling of “we can do this” wrapped up in this day regardless of what “this” represents for you. Plus, minds are still operating more sharply as Mercury moves away from Neptune and lingers around in sextile to Pluto. The emotional body checks in with all the accumulated information at 10:25 AM through a sextile from the Moon to Mercury. Get a good solid check in on it today because those mental pontifications are going to become a bit fickle under the incoming Gemini Moon.

Overall, today still carries some of the smoothness we felt yesterday. Finally! A Monday that doesn't overtly threaten to rip the ground out from underneath us! Still yet, even though we may be standing on solid ground, we can feel that something is underfoot and it's just a matter of time before it presents itself. Today, though, there is a feeling that says whatever it is, “we can do this.” Linger in that certainty as long as you can and don't forget what this sense of stability feels like if the ground does become shaky under your feet this week.

Folks are likely to stand their ground today. And, if you come head to head with a Bull, let them stand where they want in their grassy field for now. There is plenty of opportunity for directly addressing and fostering a change in your outlook in the days to come.

The Moon finds Chiron in Pisces by sextile at 1:05 PM for a little emotional gut check. There are still some tender wounds that need your attention. Be gentle and self-nurturing in addressing them. From here, the Moon is Void until entering Gemini at 9:23 AM tomorrow.

The First Quarter Moon at the end of this week packs a serious punch. Emotions will rise and the Moon will continue to build toward intensity. That being said, do the work you need to do today but don't forget to continue gifting yourself with comfort and stability along the way. Get your feet firmly underneath you and start coaching yourself now in regard to how you may handle the unexpected. Because, the unexpected is still due to wax in.

The good news is the Lunar Eclipse is the last piece of the Spring madness that we have in store. So, we are at the end of a apple cart upsetting cycle. We've almost made it through but there are a few more hurdles to cross over in the very near future. So catch your breath. Take care of business and get yourself well centered to meet the incoming challenges head on. We can do this.

Morning Star: Daily Astrology for Sunday, March 22, 2015

This morning we wake up to the Moon in Taurus. Emotional energy becomes more stabilized here. Solid. Grounded. A bit more practical. Sounds good to me. The draw back is an influx of stubbornness and perhaps a bit more than a little resistance to change. Taurus is a Fixed Earth sign. So, it's not really the one that immediately jumps on board with doing things differently. Taurus Moon likes to stand on solid ground. Cows are not the best at acrobatics. That's alright, though. That kind of stability and groundedness is exactly the energy we need to pull us back to center after experiencing such an influx of uncertainty. Funny how that works isn't it? It's almost like the Universe put the Moon there today on purpose.

Today is a day earmarked for recapturing a bit of physical ease. Conversations can run deep and minds are likely churning, however, as Mercury waxes into sextile with Pluto at 4:25 PM. Intuition is also kicking from this aspect bringing a focus upon the language that occurs under the surface of words. Again, Mercury in Pisces is one of those placements that doesn't always need words to communicate. This placement can intuitively pick up on ripples in the water even when nothing is said. In aspect to Pluto in Capricorn, and the placement is imbibed with x-ray vision and a solid sense of clarity too. There is a “knowing” connected to this day even if no one is speaking of it. It's unlikely that folks will be truly speaking their mind; but, minds are busy with a bunch of information none-the-less. Antennae are up to drink in more information but the investigation is not something we are sharing. There may be instances where we don't want to talk about something because we are afraid the subject matter will make us cry and we have cried enough at this point. There's absolutely nothing wrong with taking a break from heightened emotions to catch your breath as long as you realize ignoring your problems will not make them go away and plan to address them once you feel a bit more stable.

At 5:32 PM, the Moon meets Venus in Taurus by conjunction. Sweet! Smooth! Solid! Stable! What's for dinner, folks? Better yet, what's for dessert? Ok, ok, Taurus Moon doesn't always have to be about rich creamy indulgent foods and decadent desserts. But, it certainly can be! I don't think Taurus would refuse it. The big call here is to give yourself whatever it is you feel you need to be comfortable. Self-pampering is a great idea. Do you need a permission slip to gift yourself some of that? Because, if you do, let me know and I'll write you one out. Those cookies you've been avoiding all week because you started a new diet? It's time to eat a few. Those toes that you've been looking at wondering if they would ever be fit for sandals again? It's time to give them a pedicure. That midday nap that you've been denying yourself because you've had too much to do? It's time to take it. That massage that you've been putting off...TODAY IS THE DAY! You deserve it! Be adamant about sinking into some pleasure today. It's waaaaaaaaay overdue. It's not a bad idea to share some of this “right to self-pampering” with your sweetie either. Exchange foot massages. Grab a cookie for them too. This is certainly a Sunday that is set up to be like a Sunday should be. Relaxing. Recuperative. A bit lazy and indulgent. I'LL TAKE IT! Won't you?
Edward Hicks: The Peaceable Kingdom

By 8:12 PM the Moon is in sextile to Neptune begging us to crawl into our comfortable luxurious sheets and nestle into slumber early perhaps after a little nip at a night cap. Sip on a nice glass of wine and enjoy the fullness of your belly. Muscles are soothed and relaxed. Ahhhh...

That puts it in a nutshell right there. The brain is a busy place today. But, the physical body and the emotional body are ready for a slow down. Dammit! So, let the mind churn away if it wants but heed the call to reach for the AHHHHHHHHHH in this day however that appeals to you.

Morning Star: Daily Astrology for Saturday, March 21, 2015

This morning we wake up to both the Sun and Moon in Aries. The Moon is under pressure from a square with Pluto (6:57 AM) and conjunction with Uranus (7:14 AM). So, there are still some jangled nerves to contend with. That's alright. We should get used to it. In this “between time” of the eclipses things are likely to feel shaky anyway. Either way, we are certainly awake this morning.

Between 7:40 AM and 7:55 AM there are two inconjuncts that occur. Venus meets Saturn by inconjunct first. If you have planets in the early (0-5) degrees Gemini this will create a Yod with Saturn Rx at the apex. If you have planets in early Libra, there is a Yod created with Venus in Taurus at the apex. Draw from the wisdom of the planets in sextile and feed that energy directly into the planet involved at the Apex in an effort toward the highest expression of each. With Saturn at the Apex, our ability to self regulate is tested. With Venus at the Apex, our value system is being tested. In either scenario, we may not see how the planets at the base of that Yod in sextile can help support the pivotal planet...but they do.

Mercury steps up to bat next creating an inconjunct with Jupiter in Leo. This further fuels the yod that overlaid the New Moon Eclipse of yesterday involving Mercury/Jupiter and Pluto. Personal planets in mid-degrees of Leo (10-15) sit on the apex of this Yod and have been fired up as of late with Jupiter lingering nearby. Mercury in sextile to Pluto can work to give us precious and deep insight into the situation or laser like insight into ourselves that can be used to meet Jupiter's task of “knowing thyself.” Don't be afraid to peer that deeply inward. There is valuable information to be had within all of this. The more you know about how your machine operates, the more effectively you can drive it.

By 6:51 PM the action is at full roll as the Moon meets Mars by conjunction. Right after this, though, the Moon is at rest again even if the body may continue to toil. The VOC period lasts for about 12 hours until the Moon enters Taurus at 6:41 AM tomorrow.

Today is likely to be busy and active. Folks may have a lot that they feel like they need to accomplish. Plus, the emotional body is pressurized prompting us to move about under the tense aspects from the Moon to Uranus, Pluto and Mars. Just be conscious of what you are doing and don't be the guy running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Discharge this energy consciously and smoothly while remembering the main thing is not to get too excited...or stupid. Get twitterpated if you want. That will feed nicely into the atmosphere of tomorrow as our lunar goddess leaves Mars' ambitious world and enters the realm of Venus. Might want to make sure to put “stop at the store and pick up chocolate” on your to-do list today to get prepared for that.

Morning Star: Daily Astrology for Friday, March 20, 2015

This morning we wake up to the New Moon in Pisces eclipsing the Sun in Pisces (5:37 AM) at 29 degrees. Ecliptic events have been unfurling for the past few weeks and will continue to permeate our atmosphere for several more. We are staring down the barrel of one of the most pivotal lunar cycles of the year. Over the next two weeks, we will linger in ecliptic energy as we move away from the New Moon eclipse and toward the Full Moon eclipse in Libra in two weeks. During this time, personal circumstance will shift as we experience this energy. Shifting is equivalent to change in both the personal and outside realms. Today is the day we truly enter the time in between time for awhile.

During a New Moon eclipse, the Sun's energy is temporarily cut off by the Moon. The Moon is dark and not reflecting the Sun's light toward the Earth either. However, lunar energy will build from here. What that means, in a nutshell, is that change is coming to many interpersonal worlds and the reaction to it is likely to be highly emotional. To bring this to ground for you, we experience eclipses twice a year every year. This year, the ecliptic axis falls in the Spring and in Autumn. Just so happens, today's eclipse also falls on the Spring Equinox a time when massive change is due in our physical environment on top of the fluctuating energy fostered by the eclipse.
THIS is also a ground breaking event, btw

Remember those eggs I've talked about off and on throughout March? Well, we may have a few late bloomers but many will have popped from their shell and are roaming around in what may seem like a brand new world after today. Incubation is finished. With that comes all the energy of literally being born. As the Earth rebirths herself we are being called to re-birth ourselves and begin fresh. Nervous systems can be raw and highly sensitive just like that of a new born. My Mom said that she could always tell where I was in the hospital after I was born because she could hear me screaming. Apparently, I screamed a lot. Well, I've matured enough to refine that scream into the occasionally loud preaching session. But from the sounds of it, being born was felt as a rude awakening by me which makes sense because as someone with a Pisces Moon square Neptune, I do NOT like to be woken up or disturbed as I'm sleeping. The same type of wailing my mother heard after I was born can still be heard if anyone is brave enough to startle me out of a nap.

My oldest son came into this world much the same way. I can remember being in my hospital room after his birth and hearing him wailing all the way down the hall in the nursery. He is also a Pisces Moon who doesn't take kindly to being rocked out of slumber. My youngest son, however, was different. He was very, very quiet. He would stir a little when moved around after he was first born, but mainly he would just settle and fall easily back to sleep. He has a Sagittarius Moon and is more likely to wake up smiling rather than wailing like his brother and I. Under this eclipse, you too may be reminded of your pure emotional nature without the construct of your Ego shining in the way to protect it. Lunar energy, again, cuts off solar energy temporarily from the Earth during a New Moon eclipse. Meaning, the protective and deliberately constructed mask of ego falls and how we really feel about a situation has a tendency to come out without moving through that filter first.

So, today will depend a lot on how well you can roll with and accept change and how you deal with highly charged emotional situations. Thankfully, though, because you are reading this you have an inkling of what is going on. And, if you are observant, you know that this type of rawness has been ongoing for several weeks preceding this eclipse. Folks are seriously on edge. And, lots of them have no idea what is going on but they have certainly felt the washout. That being said, boundaries UP and be gentle with yourself and allow that gentleness to trickle over (if you have some to spare) in an effort to console those who are suffering while remembering “on edge” can also mean volatile so tread carefully out there.

Immediately after the eclipse the Moon takes a power nap and enters Void status until passing over into Aries at 6:28 PM. The Sun follows her 12 hours later. From here, the water will begin to dry up. The emotional hangover will start to wane. Some will find determination to get out there and “hit it” again while others will be merely pissed off and ready to go to war. Passive, subdued and emotional energy is burnt away by building Fire energy. So not only are we in the “time between time” but we also have our asses on fire. There is emotional rawness compounded with plenty of stimuli to either fuel us or threaten to burn us up.

Most of the “congestion” felt from earlier this year has thinned and drained and folks will begin to make forward progress. As a matter of fact, I'm already seeing this now. We will enter a New Aries Season with Mars in his home territory unlike last year when we spent the duration of Aries season with Mars in detriment and retrograde. Last Aries season we tried to engage only to get sat quickly back down on our rears. Not so much this year. This is a set up for making some serious headway. That also means that solar returns for our Aries folks are likely to be welcomed this year. Last year was a pain in the rear for many of our Rams. It's pretty exciting, really.

At 2:15 PM today, there is a sweet trine from the Moon newly in Aries to Saturn Retrograde in Sagittarius. Grounding is accessible and the emotional body “gets real” and settles a bit. Then, overnight, the Moon trines Jupiter at 3:22 AM imbibing us with optimism, restoring a bit of self-confidence and prompting us to find gratitude even if we are still in the midst of a storm.

In the morning, the Moon will pass through the waning energy of Uranus square Pluto. In the coming days, the Sun will repeat all of today's lunar aspects. So with both, the Sun and Moon's movements I encourage you to hang on to the energy brought forth from Saturn and Jupiter in an effort to navigate the more harsh aspects from Uranus and Pluto. Be responsible. Be future minded. Be humble. And quite simply, do the right thing. That's going to be the answer to just about any upset that occurs. Figure out the right thing to do and don't hesitate to do it even if the rest of the world is burning itself to the ground. Hold yourself accountable while expecting to witness a few personal explosions along the way from people who are struggling blindly.

Today, get yourself on center. Purge whatever emotions remain and bring yourself to ground. Deal with the soft underbelly that is the emotional body by providing yourself whatever it is you need for comfort. Then, stretch one more time and get ready to hit the ground running for a few weeks. The night is dark, save the twinkling stars but the Moon will build from here. Explore your darkness and do not fear what you cannot see. Know that absolutely anything is possible and there is true exhilaration within that even if you cannot see it right now. The sun will rise. The flowers will bloom. Hope re-enters our world as Mother Earth dons the glorious crown that is her Easter Bonnet. Spring fever has certainly arrived!

Morning Star: Daily Astrology for March 19 2015

This morning we wake up to the Moon still in Pisces and in sextile to Pluto in Capricorn (7:17 AM). Again, this is not a light and fun aspect but it can imbibe us with the endurance and grounding needed to deal with the potential watery-ness of the atmosphere right now. This is helpful because many emotional bodies will be roiling. The highest use of this aspect is to focus inward. Mourn where you need to. Forgive where you need to. Continue releasing and purging while exploring some of the deeper reasons as to why you may feel the way you do. This isn't an outward activity. It's very much an introspective one prompting us to examine exactly how the changes in the world have affected us and the root issues that are being stirred up right now. Time alone in contemplation or meditation is gift right now. Grab some of it anywhere you can find it in an effort to re-center.

At 11:28 AM the Moon is conjunct Chiron. This can be the activation of an emotional trigger or the ability to emotionally connect with our deepest and most primordial wounds. Either way, it hurts. And, the best way to address it is to nurture those hurts and pains instead of trying to escape them. Be easy with yourself. After tomorrow's eclipse, we dry out fairly quickly as we are ushered by the eclipse into straight into Aries season. You are going to want to deal with all that this water energy presents to you effectively BEFORE we get shot out of that cannon.

The rest of the day, the waters continue running and sensitivities remain high. Bear this in mind when out in public and continue giving yourself and others space. Keep drinking water and taking frequent time outs to center and heed any calls toward rest that you may need. Denying yourself of the appropriate amount of rest will only work to increase frazzled nerves and anxieties. Continue releasing and purging and preparing to step fully out of this swamp tomorrow.

Morning Star: Daily Astrology for March 18, 2015

This morning we wake up to Mercury conjunct Neptune in Pisces (4:49 AM) and the Moon also entering Pisces at 6:58 AM. That's quite a watery mix. Plus, today and tomorrow mark the last days in this lunar cycle that we have to finish wiping the slate clean before the New Moon on Friday. The next two days would be perfect for releasing (particularly through an emotional purge), forgiveness, acceptance and meditation. Either way, emotionality is likely to be high leading up to the eclipse due to all the current energy in Pisces and focus on the element of water itself. Folks are sensitive and empathic sensitivities are kicking.

By 9:07 AM our Moon in Pisces is in a smooth sextile with Venus in Taurus. Moon and Venus in contact from Pisces to Taurus is sweet. It's can be heart meltingly sweet. This is certainly not an ambitious aspect. About the only motivation here is to relax and treat yourself a little. Perhaps we indulge in something sweet and rich as a late morning breakfast.

After a watery and unambitious start to our day, the Moon finds Saturn by square at 2:47 PM. This aspect does have a potentially harsh edge to it. But, the Moon in contact to a sense of grounding through Saturn is actually not a bad thing while we have so much energy in Pisces. It can feel depressive and heavy. Or it can feel like someone has finally thrown you a life preserver after you've been treading water in an emotional sea for several hours alone. They key with this aspect is acceptance and reinforcing your boundaries both of which are very much needed today. Know, however, that it can feel pretty heavy. Also know it does pass.

Between 7:45 and 9:28 PM, the Moon is conjunct both Neptune and Mercury in Pisces. More water. More emotionality and possibly a few tear filled conversations. It's also a great mixture to get lost in music, continue releasing, channel your emotions into an art form or to express yourself fluently. Again it's also very empathic so you may feel how the folks around you feel.

Today, does have the potential for emotional washout. To assist with the murky waters of Pisces, reach for grounding and clear waters. I use grounding stones such as hematite for watery Neptuney days like this. It's also a good idea to keep what you are putting in your body simple, low in chemicals and additives and increase your pure water intake. Taking little time outs to be by yourself and ground also helps tremendously. This is also good energy to use directed toward a spiritual cleanse of either your home or body. Time spent quietly and in meditation is particularly rewarding today. If you have to be in the public, give yourself and others some space. Folks are likely to be processing some heavy duty emotional stuff due to various reasons and at the very least everyone runs the risk of being particularly sensitive. Today is not the day to attempt to force anything. Try to tap into the flow of it and float with that instead while being meticulously easy with yourself and others while expecting parts of the day to be emotional whether that emotion is coming from you or the folks around you. Many will be distracted due this so also be alert when driving. Time as an elusive entity is also a factor dragging at times and disappearing at others. Verbal communication can become confused with Mercury in aspect to Neptune so pay more attention to the non-verbal exchanges and how you feel when in engaging in a situation than you do to the words used.

Tomorrow some of the watery-ness does dissipate with a grounding and enduring sextile from the Moon to Pluto in the early morning hours. This still calls for us to release and sweep away the remaining debris of the last lunar cycle in preparation for the next. Music is really something we can benefit from today. The more we can let go at this time, the lighter we will be able to travel on the next trip.
