Morning Star: Daily Astrology for January 17, 2015

This morning we wake up to the Sagittarius Moon leaving a trine with Uranus in Aries. This could have catalyzed the beginning of our release from heavier emotions for awhile. Then, at 6:29 AM the Moon meets Mercury in Aquarius by sextile. Mercury has two degrees yet to click over before turning retrograde on the 21st. Time, from about Thanksgiving of last year until today, has been clicking by at a seemingly rapid pace. I've heard so much commentary about this and I have to agree. It's like we blinked and ended up in the middle of January. I'm hoping that the retrograde will slow things down a bit allowing us to think things through and catch our breath.

As the Moon checks in with Mercury today, we could begin to foster a fresh new perspective. Mercury in Aquarius looks toward the future with hope. Mercury in Aquarius is just a brilliant placement, folks. Like Mercury in aspect to Uranus, this placement can foster genius or madness depending on your perspective. But, it is smart...sometimes so unconventionally smart that it's natives can be sized up, at times, as eccentric. This brilliance pays off for us today as it assists to buoy and brighten our previously darkened Sagittarius Moon.

At 9:54 AM we are rather pleased with our brilliant, hopeful selves and begin to foster an appreciation for a hopeful future vision as the Moon sextiles Venus in Aquarius. Action and ambition are still lagging as Mars is swimming in Pisces and closing in on his approach to Neptune. But, minds are racing with ideas while our emotional bodies are finding points of ease.

At 2:26 PM the Moon is in trine to Jupiter in Leo. Following an aspect with Venus, this can produce relaxation in light of a bit of restored self-confidence. We've stumbled. But, now we've scrambled our way back to the standing position...just in time to take a nap.

However, napping is not the only use of these aspects. You could really make some headway on activities that require your mental focus this morning.

After the trine with Jupiter, the Moon is Void until entering Capricorn tomorrow at 7:05 AM. Seriously, take advantage of this break in the sky. You deserve it. Indulge in some self-pampering. Meet up with friends. Get out and focus on enjoying life for a bit. At the very least, lay work down for the day and do whatever it is that brings you joy.

Tomorrow, our lunar energy stays steady throughout the day. The Moon will bring a bit of form to our swimming Mars while also being softened herself by a sextile from Neptune. Then, on Monday, we head straight into our work week with the Capricorn Moon meeting Pluto and Uranus at about the same time Venus officially opposes Jupiter.
on a side note, if you like to dance, kicking it up to some funky beats is a GREAT activity for Saturday Night

This Venus opposite Jupiter energy is also accessible today. The doors on our hearts may swing wide open with generosity and we will likely be prone to indulge in leisure. Give. In. To. That. This weekend. Because, you may STILL want it by Monday but that desire could certainly be met with conflict. So, don't wait. Love and live big. Rediscover joy. Entertain a little romance and leisure. Those are your directives for this weekend. Think you can handle that? I'm pretty sure I can.
Get about as oiled as a diesel train...
