January is icy with several long
periods of quiet for the Moon while VOC. There is also a Mercury
retrograde from Aquarius back into Capricorn. Several shifts in
personal energy are felt as Mars and Venus move from Aquarius to
Pisces. Mars and Venus will both square off with Saturn newly in
Sagittarius before passing over Neptune and Chiron. The New Moon in
Aquarius (Jan 20) waxes in at the end of the Month preceding
Mercury's retrograde (Jan 21) , shortly following Mars' entrance into
Pisces (Jan 12) and preceding Venus' exit from Aquarius (Jan 27).
Overall, to me, it looks like a good month to get our collective
heads on straight while backing up to punt as necessary. If you are a
resolution setter, these are best declared at the New Moon in
Capricorn on December 20th or the New Moon in Aquarius on
January 20th. New Year's Eve, just make sure you have
enough snacks to go around and reserve plenty of room for comfort
under the waning Moon in Taurus. If you are determined to set
resolutions on New Year's Eve, it's best to word them toward
eradication or banishing of things you no longer want in the New Year
rather than to focus on what you want to build. The New Moon in
Capricorn focuses on re-building and new leadership efforts. While
the New Moon in Aquarius is for hopeful wishes and networking.
