Morning Star: Daily Astrology for June 28, 2014

This morning, we wake up to Moon in Cancer. Overnight, she was very busy Moon making a square to Uranus (1:17 AM EDT), trine to Saturn (2:49 AM), square to Mars (3:20 AM) and trine to Chiron (4:10 AM). Her next aspect, a conjunction with Jupiter, isn't until 9 PM tonight.

That means you may be able to see the tiny sliver of the Moon appear next to the Red Giant in the night sky tonight.

Overall, today has the potential to feel good. Yesterday was pretty shaky with the re-ignition of the Mars/Uranus opposition. Those feelings are waning now.

Jupiter can blow emotions out of proportion. That's great if you feel good. Then, you can feel REALLY good. But, if you are low, those feelings could be exacerbated too. Look for wisdom and perspective to help you find a happy medium.

The Sun is moving closer and closer to his trine with Neptune. That perfects overnight at 3:23 AM. This is a softening aspect that has the potential to smooth out or erode some of the brittle edges of your ego. You could melt a little. You may be inclined to cut someone some slack when you otherwise would not. You could pass someone on the street and mistake them for someone else. The lines are blurred a little.

Sun trine Neptune is also a wonderful energy to tap into if you are working on any type of Neptune project such as music or art. It's also great energy to pack with you on a trip to beach, lake or body of water.

Venus is also waxing into aspect with Neptune via square. This perfects tomorrow too. The square is more harsh than the trine we have with the Sun. The trine softens us but there is less chance for delusion. Trines are not forceful.

However, the square is an aspect with tension. There is pressure between the planets involved. Neptune is the higher octave of Venus. In this instance, our little Butterfly Venus in Gemini, may get a little drunk. She may get swept away in a love affair that feels like her dream come true. Or, she could be letting her rose colored glasses fog up a little too much.

On the converse, Neptune square Venus (with Neptune Rx) could make some veils drop HARD in love relationships or in matters of money.

Reach for your grounding to use these Neptune aspects to their highest potential and to avoid being swept away or pummeled under the waves by them. If you can float or spend the weekend near water, you are pretty much set. If you are able to relax and enjoy listening to music or escaping into a good book, also great!

Just be wary that what you are seeing may not be exactly what you are perceiving. Venus is drunk. Mercury, Neptune and Saturn are wobbling backward. Mars and Uranus are recuperating after their standoff and the Moon in Cancer is looking at all these other planets as if they were her wayward children. Take a day off, Mom. Those kids are nuts.

Overall, the waters have the potential to be much more calm. Grab your hematite (and your floaties) and enjoy the drift.
