Morning Star: Daily Astrology for April 29, 2014

Last night, a solar eclipse (Ring of Fire) happened in Taurus at 2:15 AM. Today we are under the power of a New Moon. Anything new started today leaves behind a solid footprint.

But, the Moon isn't finished. She's a busy chic.
At 10:07 AM Moon trines Pluto. Anything that occurs, we put our heads down and push through. Emotional endurance is accessible, as well as assuredness.
Optimism and perspective take center stage when Moon makes a sextile to Jupiter in Cancer at 1 PM EDT. And, we may need that perspective and optimism as Mercury makes a trine with Pluto at 1:29 PM.

Mercury in contact with Pluto can breed obsessive and paranoid thoughts. But, when used appropriately, can give a person a talent equivalent to x-ray vision. In that, you can see through the garbage of the situation straight to the source of the problem. It also gives your words a particular power. In Taurus, Mercury is solid and stable with a smooth air of charm. When placed in trine with Pluto, solid becomes heavy and air of charm becomes magnetism. You have the ability to grasp deep psychological concepts and when you speak, your words leave a deep impression. IF you access this energy, that is. It is via trine, so not forceful. But, if you have a serious message to deliver---one that needs to leave an impact---today's your day. Or, if you need to study something deep and complex, today is your day. If you want to lure someone into your boudoir, today is definitely your day especially if you also have an enticing dessert waiting on your nightstand. Just watch out for the tendency toward obsession and paranoia. Down the rabbit hole we go!

At 4:14 PM Moon sextiles Chiron. Little ouchie there. A little bittersweet. A little reminder of our own pain and imperfections.
Then, at midnight, Moon opposes Saturn and the night takes on an even more serious tone.
All in all, it's a solid day. Words pack a punch and we may be swept up in some deep thinking. Emotions are strong and run deep but are tinted with a bit of optimism even though our wounds are still fresh. Maintain your perspective. Don't get caught constantly looking over your shoulder and obsessing about the worst that could happen. Solid work and diligent progress are highlighted.
Take one solid step in the direction of your dreams. Welcome to a brand new start.

What does "the deep" sound like? Well, it's a lot like this.
