Cardinal Grand Cross and the News

What these posts do is give you a sense of the undertone that has been set by the tightening Cardinal Cross.

Humans are just about one of the most adaptable creatures on the planet. And, in essence, many have adapted to the pressure (though we often bitch about it) created under our current Astrology. We've not really recognized that fully yet, though. We are still waiting for that other shoe to drop. But, assimilation will come eventually. Hindsight usually brings the best insight and sometimes when we glance back we see things we didn't really understand when the past was the present moment.

The times we are in right now are a lot like that.

Today, we wake up to the Moon in Capricorn and Sun in Taurus. I came across a meme about the elements not too long ago and the phrase for Earth was “Earth Heals Us.” I'm going to have to agree with that. I recommend you remember that phrase. You may come up with the same counter phrase that I did, “Earth heals us. And, look what we do to her.”

But, at any rate, we've got ourselves an Earth Moon and Sun today.

At 3:24 AM the square between Jupiter and Uranus perfected. You may see some whiplash headlines on the news today. This aspect has been in force for sometime as part of the undertone described in the above linked articles.

Jupiter and Uranus squaring off is a conflict of ideals and freedoms. It is wild opportunity. It is BIG rebellion. It is aggrandized and possibly over-idealized visions of independence. It is the BIG ITCHY SCRATCHY.

For me, it is hard to sit still under this energy. Of course, my Mars is right in orb of this cross so that makes sense. On a Universal level, transiting Mars is on his way into this cross so keep the “itchy scratchy” not being able to sit still energy in mind because it is coming to your neighborhood. You are going to want to MOVE QUICKLY. So, make sure you have your possible destinations and actions in mind now.

At 9:16 AM, Capricorn Moon meets Neptune via sextile. Capricorn Moon is not the dreamy emotional sort. In aspect to Neptune, she softens a bit and becomes more sensitive, empathic and compassionate.

At 1:40 PM, Venus finds Chiron in Pisces via conjunction. Just writing about that aspect waxing in makes my chest hurt and I want to cry a little. Now, listen to me, hurt comes in many flavors. I'm sure it is painful for a chick to burst forth from an eggshell, a butterfly to emerge from a cocoon and a baby to be born. Yet, the successful navigation of all these hurts is a blessing to not only the chick, butterfly and baby but to all who encounter and love them during and after the fact.

Venus can bring healing and loving attention to old wounds. Or Chiron can break your heart. The first thing I thought of when seeing this wax in was someone drinking themselves to death in an effort to soothe a broken heart. It is in Pisces. If our heart is breaking we may want to transcend or numb the pain. Numbing is effective to a degree but it is also the downfall of Chiron in Pisces. Eventually you will have to face the pain in order to heal effectively or die (literally or figuratively) to escape it.

 

At 6:53 PM Jupiter opposes Pluto. Again, this has been another undertone aspect that we have been feeling for sometime. I direct you back to the blog I wrote yesterday (linked above) for reference about how this has played out and to give you an idea of how this may manifest in the future. From a personal perspective, to balance this out, weigh what personal constructs need to go and change your perspective about how you can go about getting rid of them. Still laughing at racist jokes? Still judge the actions of others based on rigid religious beliefs? Where are your prejudices? Are you willing to face the deeply rooted ugly of yourself and purge that? Because that is what Jupiter and Pluto are working to bring to your attention. The newly emerging mentality has NO ROOM for that shit. Be honest with yourself and get rid of it because it is not meant to be carried any further.

Then, the Moon finds her way into the Cardinal t-square. We FEEL what is going on acutely. Moon squares Uranus at 8:28 PM, conjuncts Pluto at 8:33 PM and opposes Jupiter at 8:33 PM. Yeah, we feel it all at once. Then, finally, we get a gut check with motivations and actions in relationship when Moon squares Mars Rx in Libra at 9:57 PM.

Today is determined, a bit serious, concerned with our establishments and how well they can weather the fluctuating times. We need new constructs. There is much work to be done on both a personal and collective level. There is a HUGE sense of social responsibility which we will need to maintain in order to navigate the destruction and decay of our current constructs. Because, without social responsibility we may build something back that does nothing but make things worse.

“Earth Heals Us”....”And look what we do to her.”...remember? Let's change that.

Lots and lots happening today and it doesn't necessary ease up as we move into our week. Moon does move out of the cross. So, the emotional undertone of today does not last but it DOES return right before the New Moon in Taurus as the Moon passes through Aries. So, we get breaks to assimilate a bit emotionally, but its not over yet. We aren't done with the work we need to do yet and you will most certainly feel that today. We are locked and loaded, for sure. We are just waiting for Mars to engage and pull the trigger. Aim true.
