Cardinal Grand Cross and the News

It only makes sense that we would see evidence of the Cardinal Cross in the news, because Jupiter is involved. Jupiter rules publishing. So, anytime he is involved it is usually an event that ends up being broadcast.

Jupiter also rules higher education, politics, court systems and organized religion to name a few. In the sign of Cancer, matters of home, roots, family, emotions and children are involved too. .

Pluto rules death, destruction, sex, birth, rebirth, transformation the shadow side of the psyche. In Capricorn, this mixes in elements of leadership, established rules, foundations, business, resources and tradition.

The first example I have is the story of the former KKK leader (Pluto in Capricorn) who opened fire on a group of people at a Jewish Center (Jupiter in Cancer).

I've been saying for sometime that Chiron in Pisces is being overlooked in this Cross even though he is still engaged via degree through softer aspects (meaning, he is not IN the cross but he is connected to it--this stuff doesn't happen in a vacuum).

The above story pulls Chiron and Uranus in the mix because it is being reported that the suspect was a raging alcoholic (Chiron in Pisces-the part of our Pisces selves that hinders/hobbles us) who finally went completely insane (that's Uranus' territory).

The next example I have is the Pistorius trial. Jupiter rules athletics and Pistorious is a phenomenal athlete in spite of his disabilities (Chiron in Pisces-transcending wounds). So wounded athlete on trial versus suspicions of murder (Pluto in Capricorn) that occurred in a wild and unexpected manner (Uranus in Aries).

Then, we have the recent catastrophe of the ferry that sunk in South Korea (Chiron in Pisces-injured by the sea). The ferry was carrying around 300 high school students (Jupiter in Cancer). The Captain has just been arrested because he abandoned his duties instead of staying aboard to help people who were drowning---which is kind of his job (Pluto in Capricorn). And, on top of that, a Vice Principal in charge of the high school students has since committed suicide due to overwhelming grief (Pluto in Capricorn/Chiron in Pisces). It is also speculated that the crew steering the ship was under supervised and had to make a call to turn the ferry too quickly without the presence of their Captain at the bridge to direct them. Uranus in Aries is sudden and unexpected (sometimes awkward) moves.

These are just a few examples. If you learn the archetypes, I'm sure you can find many, many more. But, these (on top of all the earthquakes, mudslides, explosions, car accidents) and many others definitely have put Astrology on front page news for some time now.
