Morning Star: March 5, 2014

This morning we wake up with Moon in Taurus forming a sweet sextile at 9:03 AM EST with Jupiter in Cancer (which is stationing to turn direct overnight). Emotions are more stable and grounded with Moon in Taurus and the sextile to Jupiter can work to elevate the mood just a little. Of course, standard caution with Moon in Taurus, if you are digging your heels in about something make sure you aren't being stubborn for the sake of being stubborn---unless you NEED to be stubborn about something. In either case, with the touch to Jupiter, everything is expanded for good or ill. Feel lazy under Taurus Moons? Well, this morning you could feel REALLY lazy, or very stubborn, or want a great big hearty breakfast (actually, that does sound good). Go ahead. Indulge. I'm sure you deserve it.

Moon then moves to form a supportive mini-trine with Pluto in Capricorn (via trine at 2:03 PM) and Chiron in Pisces (via sextile at 2:40 PM). This is endurance and fortitude that can assist with healing. Support is there for you to access. Plus, Sun is involved too as it is only a few degrees away from Chiron in Pisces (sextile perfects at 5:58 PM EST).

At 4:00 PM, Venus (Moon's current ruler) moves from Capricorn to Aquarius. Aquarius is traditionally ruled by Saturn (as is Capricorn), but also Uranus the master of Change and Quirky. Venus does change when she enters Aquarius. Values begin answering to our higher mind (Uranus) and may morph into a taste for the unusual. Freak flags are the couture du jour. Click here for my description of Venus into Aquarius.

From Aquarius, Venus will play nicely with Mars in Libra and Uranus in Aries. But, she will eventually square Saturn which is an aspect known to bring feelings of loneliness and restrictions in the areas of love and money. We've got a while before we have to worry about that as it occurs in the latter degrees and Venus is just now getting started.

If you are a night owl, at 2 AM Moon squares Mercury in Aquarius. The information coming in is pushing us to consider change and detachment and Taurus Moon is resistant to that. She wants nothing to do with the Universal cattle prod and would rather keep on keeping on with things just as they are. It could be that you feel like resting but your mind won't shut up. Both signs (Aqua and Taurus) are fixed. So, there isn't much room to negotiate with either of them.

At 5:00 AM tomorrow, Jupiter officially turns direct. Jupiter is a tough planet for me to wrangle. But, one thing I've noticed about his RX and direct motion, it seems like when he is RX you may receive payback for your previous good deeds and generosities. And, you may be tasked to repay the good deeds and generosities you encountered when he was direct. This “repayment” doesn't necessarily go to the same person who paid it forward to you. Instead, the debt may be applied to someone else who is in need keeping the blessings of Jupiter spreading. The pay off you receive from past generosities may not come from the person you were generous to but rather someone else who may be repaying their own type of debt.

Of course, if you've been a stingy selfish ass, Jupiter RX may just bring that back to you as well.

So, Jupiter direct, new opportunities for higher learning and for actively spreading generosities to others. Jupiter RX, the things you do come back to you.

Overall, the Universe begins to shift a little more today with the ingress of Venus into Aquarius and the forward motion of Jupiter. We feel OK with it as we trudge forward under this Taurus Moon. I do NOT see a tendency for being particularly physically active (Mars is RX still and Taurus Moon doesn't get up readily volunteer to do jumping jacks or anything), but it feels good. Solid. Stable. Maybe even a little optimistic. And, you know, who couldn't use a little of that?
